Great location but totally average otherwise
Location for theatre and culture
Having a 12.5% service charge added to a drink I bought at the bar (went to the bar to buy it so no added service beyond normal bar duties). Public hotel areas well equipped but very dusty in harder to reach areas. Room had all amenities but nothing special.
The staff was amazing and the location was perfect.
The tv program options were awful and our bathtub was dirty.
This was literally right in the center of everything I was easily able to walk to everything I wanted within the first day. Also the staff was amazing.
That I didn’t stay long enough. The bed was so comfortable I knocked out, so nothing really wrong.
Pampered in a Prime Location
The Grand lived up to it's name, with a quiet, posh feel. Very comfy bed, and the staff were above and beyond in helpfulness, politeness and friendliness. Breakfast, while costly, was exceptionally well varied and high quality. And the location was superb! Everything was walkable if you wanted. If not, access to taxis, London bus tours, and the subway system was also right at hand. Overall, a great choice!
The location was excellent, very near the tube station embankment, a short walk from covent garden. It was very comfortable.
Very good place in the middle of the centre
Staff at the desk, were unintrested and not really friendly
location - in the heart of the city
Comparing with other 4 star hotels at the same price the rooms are very small. I booked around 4-6 weeks in advanced asking for city view and all I got was an inner courtyard... I advice that this kind of requests to be processed early and not in the last day when there are no rooms available to choose from.
Fantastic location.Very pleasant room.
hotel is centrally locatated in london, tube station just around the corner, walking distance from the beautiful covent garden. i loved the service the hotel provides where u can check out on a touch screen computer without having to go to reception.
on checking in, we were going to be charged double what i agreed to pay on this web site. only for having my print off of the receipt i wonder would we have had any come back.. not a good start! i booked a studio kitchenette but only got a double room with sofa bed. to be honest we were so tired after coming back from a hard day of shopping we hadnt the energy to argue as long as our room was clean and slept 3 comfortably we didnt mind.
The hotel was very clean and had good visual appeal. It was also in a great location.
The room became very cold at night.
good size room, staff very friendly and helpful, quiet hotel whilst being in a very central location
no residents bar, reception area bland and personality-less
Ideal location and good size of rooms
tv - internet facilities
no outside smoking area
Very good room size. In fantastic historic building. Excellent large shower.Excellent central location.
Check in area a bit cramped and rather disorganised. Called over to us as were leaving check in to give info. about facilities etc. Not very professional in approach. However check out very smooth and so above may just have been a one off at a busy spell.
