6.7 Good
Pros: The yard looks spectacular even more beautiful than in pictures, the pool area is clean and big enough. The room was pretty small, but the bed was comfortable and the terrace was cool with a nice view. The kitchen was equipped with everything you may need.
Cons: It might have been a mixup with the booking, but i made the reservation for 2 adults and they told us that the reservation was confirmed just for one guest. We had to pay an extra 30 EUR, even though we booked an apartment for 2 persons. The shower was awful, small and very hard to use.

Pros: We really enjoyed staying at B&B Matinée. It is located on the main street of Mattinata, so very central, yet not too far from the sea. Vanessa is extremely sympathetic and had very good recommendations for us, both in terms of activities (she even gave us better information than at the tourist info that is right around the corner) and restaurants. The room was clean and confortable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel near the sea, beautiful scenery. Fantastic beaches in the area.
Cons: In our room we could hear everything from the adjacent rooms and the breakfast area underneath.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sea view was amazing. Territory of the hotel is so beautiful!! Breakfast maybe could be better, but products were very high quality and very tasty! At this time of the year temperature was above 20 degrees, so we could easily sunbath all day in our terrace, that was huge. We had kitchen in the room and it was grate because, near to the hotel there is little shop, where you can buy main products, for example, for lunch we had pasta (1,50€ per package) with different kind of cheese (2€ per package) + cherry tomatoes (2€ per package - just excellent), for dinner we had salats with olive oil, that you can buy at the hotels reception (250 ml costs 5€). Dinner in hotels restaurant for two of us was ~37€ (ravioli with cheese and fried sea food mix + bottle of water). You can easily go for a walk to Mattinata, there are little supermarkets, fruit/vegetables shops - natural products, pharmacy’s, little restaurants and cafes. Streets are very busy and very thinly, so be careful with you car. Room was cleaned every day, and towels were changed every day. I suppose it’s because busy season is over and they can manage to clean every room every day. employees at the reception speaks English very good! In the evenings, when it is dark outside, you can see Croatia (Dubrovnik) night lights. Overall - this is wonderful place, we are very satisfied. Thank you for wonderful service!!!
7.9 Good
Pros: The view was amazing. All the staff were extra helpful and appeared happy. The food in the restaurant was very good along with the nibbles with our drinks. The bed was very comfy and nice shower It was nice and quiet when we went as beginning of September. Close to the national park with beautiful scenery.
Cons: The dish washer didn’t clean very well. Only 2 coat hangers, however some more where found very quickly. No bottle opener and so we had to buy a new one. No chopping board but again one was found for us. The beach was a good half an hour walk and I walk quickly! Though there is a shuttle bus. The staff on the beach did not appear very friendly. However I don’t think this is part of the hotel as such and there are others you can go to but you will need to pay for beds and umbrellas.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very good place to spend time and unwind. Beautiful interiors and garden.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The big terrace, the great view, the nice restaurant
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here mainly because of the beautiful sea view from the large deck of our apartment. The restaurant at the property was very good (also with a great view) as was the breakfast. We found the staff very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We also enjoyed spending time at the beach on our allocated sun lounges (which you had to drive to).
Cons: The décor was a little dated and the shower cubicle was tiny.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room comfort, view, breakfast
Cons: Being charged extra for what i tought was un upgrade offered to have a sea view

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and luggage storage. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The furnishings and services in this wonderful masseria are to die for. It was like staying on a theatre set. Breakfast, served under the olive trees, was magical and Anna with her cheery smile was so obliging. We enjoyed local, typical products such as cacciocavallo, Puglian cheese, fresh fruit and wonderful local bread and jams. I would stay here like a shot. I think my face got ultra-clean from enjoying the little bathroom so much - I have washbasin-envy!
Cons: The bed was a little hard - but as the owner is a chiropractor, I guess he knows what is best for our backs!! But, truly, there was nothing to dislike about this place.
7.5 Good
Pros: The property and premises are beautiful, we enjoyed the pool and breakfast under the olive trees. The personel was nice and welcoming.
Cons: From the photos provided it was hard to tell that there is just a small window in the bathroom, so the lack of sunlight and air affected our experience. Also, although it's a fantastic property (and our opinion is clearly subjective) the house had a particular aroma and the room had moisty air. The friendly dog, tied to a tree with a short leash nearby the pool, sadened us a lot.
7.1 Good
Cons: No bar in the evening and the best terrace at the pool was closed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stuff was super friendly. The atmosphere magical. And this breakfast in the garden... Amazing!!!
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast and coffee. Nice pool with amazing views
Cons: The WiFi didn’t work.
7.5 Good
Pros: Authentic and well located masseria. Breakfast Lovely in the garden.
Cons: In high season it might be a bit overprized.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This place is just beautiful. The decor is incredible and they've really made an effort for the place to look and feel great. There is a small bar by the amazing pool where drinks and food is served. The views around the building are incredible and there are lots of places to sit in or out of the sun and enjoy a bit of privacy if needed. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. You can just tell everyone who works there takes real pride in the place and works very hard to maintain a high standard and they certainly succeed in doing so. We wished we had time to stay longer, there is very little to not like about the place.
Cons: Everything was great.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The swimming pool and the surrounding area have a great view! The peaceful atmosphere was also good for someone looking to relax in the middle of nature and not being too far from main attractions.
Cons: Unfortunately the Jacuzzi was busy during afternoon and evening and it would have been great to use it also by night. Sometime was difficult to find someone at reception making our way out difficult.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very kind staff, nice design, good breakfast, quiet neighbourhood, big, relaxed and clean pool, few other guests (just 5 rooms)
Cons: No wardrobe, no window in the bedroom (just a small one in the bathroom), souterrain room (bit humid)

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The most important quality of this hotel is its unbeatable location, right near the sanctuary of St Michele. It is a big property so do not expect a B&B intimate feeling. Free parking available on site. Rooms clean, with very basic amenities but nothing fancy. We did not spend much time in the room. Breakfast very good. Good interaction and communication with the persons at reception. For whatever reason, maybe due to our big elevator rides, we couldn't help feel a little bit like in Wes Anderson's Grand Budapest Hotel, the older version :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location, could come back to my hotel anytime during the day. There is own parking place.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location right next to the shrine. Friendly staff, clean room, free parking.

Hotel Michael - Monte Sant'Angelo - Bedroom
7
8.8 Excellent (89 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at B&B MICHAEL in Monte Sant'Angelo, you'll be just steps from Gargano National Park and Gargano Promontory.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location - goal was the St. Michael's sanctuary - Hotel is across the street! Decor was harmonious.
Cons: Intake staff very pleasant, but not much English. Would have liked recommendations for dinner, since rainy and not high season. Breakfast meant pastry and coffee at a nearby bar.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Helpful owner
Cons: Small shower unit
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Location Enzo was very helpful and kind Rooms were really clean Good breakfast Beautiful view
Cons: Showerhead needssome adjustment Hairdryer was not working
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent. My room has a nice sea view and very quiet. Breakfast is good with plenty of fresh fruits.
Cons: Standard check out time at 10 am is a bit too early. Extension time is possible with extra cost.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is in the historical centre, it is great. Monte Sant Angelo is wonderful place. Hotel was clean and personal was friendly. We had room with view on the town and sea, it was amazing. The place of breakfast was the most beautiful- terrace on the roof of house. Thank you for your helpfulness!
Cons: Parking is far away from the hotel and only paid (15€/day or when you stay here more days 10€/day- we were there 4 nights in hotel and we paid 40€). However Staff of the hotel told us, how to drive closer and put our lagguage from the car.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, across the street from the Sanctuary of St. Michael, Archangel, around the corner from a great restaurant, and a short walk from the castle. Outstanding breakfast with more fresh fruit than we have seen anywhere else. Very friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: The hotel is not air conditioned. During the day, our room was a bit warm. However, at this elevation, the air cooled down a lot at night, our room had a nice window with very good screens, and the hotel provided a fan, so we were quite comfortable. The shower is quite small. We are average sized and this was fine, but if were much larger this might have been an issue.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view from the terrace in our room was awesome. Location is amazing. Wall to wall with an old church Santa Maria Maggiore. Very unique. Good breakfast with lot of fruits and very nice hosts. You can wake up 8am in the morning with the sound of the church bells and you will like it.
Cons: It is an old building, so you have to carry your luggage up the steep stairs. Guy at the reception speaks only italian, but he called a very nice lady from Poland, who explained us everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is great! Location is right in the centre, two steps from the entrance to the Santuario. The room has a balcony overlooking the courtyard of the former church, battestery and the sea in the distance. You have a feeling of living right on a historic spot. Two people looking after the guests - Katerina and Enzo - are great hosts, very hospitable, welcoming, eager to help. Breakfast was abundant with a lot of various delicious things. And excellent coffee. Grazie mille Enzo e Katerina!
Cons: There is nothing I did not like. The only thing - I wish I could stay longer!

7.9 Good
Pros: Main gentleman in beach nord was very friendly and helped us with sun beds. The maid staff did such a wonderful job. The location is absolutely stunning. When we checked in, a very helpful gentleman on a golf buggy helped us deliver our luggage to our room.
Cons: The wait and service staff (with the exception of an older gentleman who served our coffee and tea every morning, as he was pleasant and very helpful), the other staff at this hotel seemed to be quite cold, reserved and disinterested. We had one dinner in the restaurant, which seemed like a complex arrangement of needing a ticket etc. Our dining experience wasn’t the best, food was ok apart from the mushroom pasta on Saturday night which gave me severe food poisoning (still continuing 3 days later after a trip to the pharmacist) when I explained to the reception staff that I am travelling with a disability (and I emailed ahead of time to let them know) and as such I needed a room close to the facilites, I was told my room would be close to the beach but far from the breakfast room. I asked if it would be possible for one of the many golf buggies be used to pick me up once per day so I could access the breakfast room and he seemed very unsure and non-commital. It don’t seem like too difficult a request for a disability
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The own, beautiful beach, nature, garden.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Overall a very beautiful place. Great private beach with free sunbeds and kayaking through the beautiful bay. The breakfast is good.
Cons: Nothing much.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is great. Very beautiful beach, delicious breakfasts, kind staff, perfect cleanliness in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most beautiful place on earth. Decorated with so much taste. The staff is absolutely lovely and I had the pleasure to meet the owner who built this fantastic one of a kind place .
Cons: The man on the beach in charge of the equipment is a bit rough and rude .
6.3 Good
Pros: Perfect location, idyllic beach. Lots of facilities. Lots of variety at breakfast. Stunning views from gym. Some (only some) staff quite helpful. Serene environment.
Cons: Staff were quite cold and not overly friendly. Some were lovely but a few of the restaurant and reception staff were quite cold and unfriendly. Tried to make us pay 27 Euro each for a sun lounger on our final day because we’d checked out that morning, seems like an unfair policy given it was September and the beach was less than a quarter full. Dinner food very average and very expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved our room and the hotel which has access to both the north beach and south beaches. The beaches were just breathtaking as were the stacks from either beach. The breakfast was very good and enjoyed the complimentary kayaks. Boat trip from nearby Vieste along Gargano coast was wonderful which ended at turn around at Zagare Bay at the hotel.
Cons: Like other reviewers, we played restaurant-roulette to be seated somewhere in the restaurant with a view. We were the sixth set of people, five couples before us (we were a triple) in the beginning of dinner hour (7:30) with two sets of couples behind us to be seated. Nope. We were given an interior table with no view. We politely asked for a better table and were refused whereby we quietly excused ourselves and ate off premises. We perhaps could understand if the restaurant was full but an hour and a half later it had maybe 10 tables seated. We too, do not understand the maitre d's decision on whom sits where. This was the only negative during our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and large room, well equiped. Location is amazing and hotel beach cannot be better. Also pool is cool. Nice staff as well
Cons: Can be more cheese and ham varieties for breakfast.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location close to downtown Manfredonia. Staff was very accommodating. Loved the parking!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic staff, friendly and kind. Excellent restaurant.
Cons: Just a bit of technical problem with warm water, but we visited off-season and it was not intentional.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very much liked the location on the sea shore. Outside of the main City, but still connected. It was great to wake up in the morning & throw open the balcony doors to the morning sea. Facilities are very Mediterranean & a bit aged, but the charm is great. You still have to turn in your key at the desk every time you leave the hotel. Records are still kept by hand. Staff were great, from the front desk clerks to the waiters in the restaurants. Food was good, served the old Mediterranean way.
Cons: The shower was small. Very hard to maneuver. A detachable head would have helped. If we brought any glasses to the room in the evenings, the cleaning staff did not remove them in the morning. An extra glass in the room would be good when there are two people staying in the room. A stronger WiFi would be recommended. Service was lost regularly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The atmosphere and service is perfect. Hotel is only a short distance to the central town, around a 15 minutes walk but you can enjoy watching the panorama of the sea. Pretty good breakfast and dinner, a nice range of different things. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the room and bathroom was very clean (towels were changed every day). I will definetly come back and stay here, so I want to recommended this hotel to everyone. Additionally, I would like to say a massive Thank you to the Hotel manager Roberto, his cousin, as well as another man from the reception named Giuseppe. They were always extremely nice and welcoming, and never failed to offer their help with anything me and my friend Maria needed.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The dinner was excellent and a very good price, very clean and well looked after
Cons: The location was not as I expected from your description but was ok for us
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendly staff, free parking, room with balcony, breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast...good location...warmly welcome...
Cons: Everything was perfect...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We chose this hotel for a its location on the Spur of Italy which left it great for doing trips to Vieste (is a mannificicant costal drive along twisty twisty mountain roads). Monte Sant'Angelo (beautiful historic area with a castle and the Santuario di San Michele Arcangelo) San Giovanni Rotondo ( the city where the Padre Pio lived and worked his miracles) Manfredonia (not realy a tourist town) and Salina dei Monaci (not worth visiting). We booked a room with a sea view and it was well worth the extra cost as the view of the bay particulary at night is magnificant. The breakfast was vey very good, usual choice of meat, cheese, cerials, yogart, cakes etc. The staff were very very friendly and the value for money food and wine in the restaurant ment we ate in the hotel 3 of our 4 nights stay which is not normally us.

Pros: Nice breakfast, proper size room
Cons: Room little cold (even after setting the AC to 27C...), there wasn't note about the minibar water cost...
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was good. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant was really good. The room was clean but very dated and basic. The linen was of poor quality and there were no tea/coffee making facilities.
Cons: We were put next to a room that was undergoing renovations. This was low season and the hotel was not fully booked. We could hear the banging of hammers and smell the paint. Not happy about this!

Pros: Great neat place, hidden gem. Friendly staff.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious and clean room. Great location near center of town. Beautiful view of mountains from balcony. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fine.
Cons: The door to the room gets caught on the threshold making it difficult to open and close. The bed needs a new mattress and box spring. Squeaky springs and a bit uncomfortable. Tiny shower with a shower head on a handheld hose that would not stay in place in the holder and fell to the shower floor multiple times. Lights in room over desk area did not work. These minor repairs to the room will make this a perfect stay.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is good but the rest is disappointing.
Cons: Broken curtains, broken sliding shower door, broken soap dispenser, dysfunctional hair dryer. Disappointed with breakfast.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location, amazing view and close to the historical sights and restaurants. The personnel is very courteous. The spa is nice, with pools, baths and saunas, very relaxing.
Cons: We were hoping for a romantic getaway but could forget about that: the hotel lacks insulation so we could hear right into the neighboring rooms and the corridor. The decor of the rooms and the hotel is dated and overall, there's a lack of customer care. They don't even give you decent towels, the so-called towels in the bathroom are of the old-fashioned kind, thin fabric which you normally use for kitchen tea towels. The television set seems to be from the 1990's (not that it served us this time). And the breakfast lacks in quality products and variety, not at all what you expect at a hotel that claims to have four stars.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff, beutuful views, beautiful hotel, very nice room, great spa, good breakfast
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was beautiful with views down to the sea from the mountain. Room was quiet (most of the time) and comfortable and the reception and cleaning staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast buffet was comprehensive but not very good, cold scrambled eggs and bacon left out for hours are not very attractive. Other than that there was no toaster so it was bread and or cakes and cakes. The waiters were only interested in clearing the tables and trying to get hot - or even warm water for a drink was challenging as they seemed to enjoy being brusque to their customers or even ignoring them!
6.7 Good
Cons: The hotel needs a major update. The pool area looks great but the water was very cold. The towels in the room were very strange...almost like tea towels. We needed to request maintenance to fix the air conditioner in our room and the wifi did not work in the room. The breakfast was okay, but the breakfast staff were not friendly.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: very good comfy room, we did get an upgrade, roof terrace patio with panoramic views. the pool looked good.
Cons: we only got to stay one night.
5.4 Okay
Pros: In my opinion this place if over rated. Not even a DO NOT DISTURB sign for the door. Entry door to the room has a double lock that can only be utilized from inside the room, so when you go away from the room you do not have the capability to double lock your door. The room key will not double lock the door from the outside. They told me that is the way the door works, well think about this if I am traveling alone and I double lock the door from inside the room and I fall and need help how will they be able to get in if they cannot open the double lock from outside the room??? After going to the bathroom I discovered that they did not leave an extra roll of toilet paper thank God that my wife was in the room with me at the time if not can you picture me running down the hall looking for toilet paper??? I discovered that they have multiple standard rooms for the same price. There was what I call the superior standard room that was large and beautiful and then you had the standard room that was a horrible room. There was no draw space for clothing and the A/C was mounted on the wall facing the bed. When you went to bed you were faced with two choices: do not put on the A/C or put on the A/C and wind up with a head cold the next morning. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. I would rate their so called breakfast as the worse that I have ever had in Europe and I have been to many countries throughout Europe. The shower is another story most rooms have the removable hose and shower head I had a room with just a 6" stationary shower head that just rained on you. How do you get to clean your lower extremities????? This was a night mare experience. If there was some way that I could have gotten my money back I would have left that night mare up on that mountain. The only positive thing that I have to say is the view was lovely.
Cons: see the above.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good staff!
Cons: Breakfast buffet could have more local food!

7.9 Good
Pros: Nice apartment, the private beach with beach service was wonderful!
5.0 Okay
Pros: the beach was near and nice (but you have to pay for it)
Cons: the matress was a disaster. the room is too small and you can hear everything from the next room (e.g. snoring). i dont recommend it at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The venue was perfect for us. Quiet, near the sea and a great breakfast. Helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay really good.
7.5 Good
Pros: We liked the fact that is close to the beach.
Cons: Wifi was not working, and we were told it was because of the recent storms, which could be understandable. We were also looking for a quiet place and this is definitely not the case. If you are bringing a big family or friends and like partying, it great because there is loud music, kids and teenagers playing at the pool all day. The staff is very friendly and understood our situation, so they let us check out earlier, because we needed wifi to do some remote work.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff. Pricing. Very kind people in the area. Very good entertainment for the children.
Cons: N/A
7.5 Good
Pros: It was clean and located in the middle of an olive grove
Cons: The air conditioning wasn't big enough to cool the apartment
7.9 Good
Pros: The residence is really well located, even if it's preferable to have a car to reach Mattinata city center, is quiet and the olive trees that surround the houses are beautiful. The staff is ready to help and kind.
Cons: The house were we were staying was a bit smaller than what we were expecting from the pictures. The restaurant inside the resort is overpriced compared to the nearby high quality restaurants.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner is very friendly. We arrived very late than expected (12:30 am) due to delay in car rental procedure, still she made sure she was awake for us & showed us all rooms & welcomed us warmly. The location is amazing, on the beach, very quiet. Restaurant is in the premises, but also there are good options nearby, although Car is must to reach here. (But Owner said, one can come by train/Bus to Mattinata main square & she'll come to pick up if told well in advance. Very sweet of her). Even supermarket is nearby (by car).
Cons: Breakfast spread is good but can be better. The beach next to the property is beautiful to sit but be aware it is completely rocky beach with no sand, on shore as well as in water. So it's difficult to go on the beach & even walk.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location for exploring the area. Modern accommodation, very clean, on site full restaurant with interesting menu and excellent food. The owners were very friendly and did everything to make us feel at home.
Cons: Beds (could be our room only?) were low to the floor, getting stiff at our age!!
7.1 Good
Pros: More than perfect location, rooms and restaurant. Hostess could be more friendlier and could remember that they work for customers not opposite.
Cons: Hostesses attitude

Pros: Very clean and fantastic views. Nice swimming pool and breakfast areas. Good value for money.
Cons: No restaurants within easy walking distance.
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff was very warm and welcoming. Even though we didn’t speak the same language they were patient with me and we found ways to communicate.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable and it’s a bit far from the center of town. As a female tourist traveling alone I should have booked something closer. The town is safe and there are street lights but it was far from everything.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the hotel were charming and very helpful. They found us a kettle for the room and a WIFi booster. Breakfast was fine and plentiful. A shame it wasn't warm enough to use the pool!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful and beautiful views from the rooms
Cons: Rather narrow selection for breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really nice place with the amazing view. Really nice breakfast, friendly staff. Swimming pool and jacuzzi looked nice but didnt have a chance to check it. Walking distance to the center. Thank you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice breakfast
Cons: Very clean, quiet and beautiful balcony views.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place. Quite in the entrance of the city. The existence of the parking was very helpful.
Cons: During the night, you had to wait till the water is hot for the shower. At the first moment I thought that there was no hot water. So you need to wait. But this is not the case during the daylight period.
7.5 Good
Pros: The place atmosphere.
Cons: It's hard to communicate in English language. I don't speak Italian.

7.1 Good
Pros: Both of the hotel receptionists were extremely efficient and helpful, which was nice!
Cons: The hotel is quite basic but it was OK for us as we were just passing through and there for one night. We didn't really like the location, as in the town itself. We thought it was more of a summer resort town and while the beach is very close to the hotel, everything felt quite deserted.
7.1 Good
Pros: basic
Cons: dirty shower tray no window in room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious, cleaned daily and had mosquito nets in the windows - convenient in the summer when there are mosquitoes around! Good breakfast and friendly reception staff. I also liked the tourist information provided - next to the reception there's a shelf with maps and other information. Useful for those planning some trips around Manfredonia.
Cons: The following does not refer to the hotel itself but I believe it's still important to include as information. If you plan a beach holiday, you may consider choosing a different location or you risk being very disappointed. The sea in Manfredonia (and Siponto - where the hotel is located) is bad. It is ugly, with algae and other things and the water has brown colour. The worst beach I've ever seen in Italy!!! The original 'beach' is not made of sand. It is soil where nature grows. (Think: you're in the proximity of Gargano national park) The people made best of it and covered a part of it with sand (from elsewhere), put sun beds and umbrellas. That's the part with a pay-for entry. Just outside of it there's a free public 'beach' where you can lay down on SOIL. Due to the public beach nature (soil), the most of it is now grown over as it was not maintained in the past years. Google maps sadly shows old images, it looks sandy there. Nature lovers will like it though - you can spot ducks and seagulls among the trees and other things that grow there. A good beach is in Vieste - and it's roughly two hours by bus from Manfredonia. The bus stop is half an hour walk from the hotel.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great value.long way from town. Great if you have a car
7.9 Good
Pros: Personnel accueillant
Cons: No shampoo in the bathroom.
