Clerk was helpful until I noticed a mistake in the booking and then she said she had no way to correct it.I had booked a one way car rental for La Guardia with a Drop off at Logan airport. When I called to ask if I could pick up the car a day earlier the customer service rep, said "yes" and also that I would save $25 . When I got there the clerk told me that the reservation said I was returning it to LaGuardia. I said that wasn't what I had told the clerk and she refused to honor the lower rate and if that wasn't enough she would't even give me the original price but said now I'd have to pay $80 more than my original reservation. I walked out and got another car from Thrifty. They made the mistake and they should have honored the price quoted. At least the original price, so I. don't think I will book with Enterprise again.

Domy was AMAZING. Well, the whole check in / check out experience was super easy and the staff that checked me in was great - but DOMY went beyond the call of duty, which I cannot say enough Thank Yous for doing what you did!!! I was upgraded with no hassle and no extra *final cost to a luxury SUV due to there being limited sedans available. The agent was helpful and efficient.The line to pick up was extensive and it took 45 minutes to be seen for my scheduled appointment. Also, the additional hold of $1,000 on my credit card due to being upgraded to an SUV was surprising. Since it was due to lack of inventory vs. client request I believe the additional hold fee should have been either waived or articulated earlier in the conversation by the agent.

They didn't have the car. I booked 8 passangers they gave me 7 passangers. I had no choice, the person who help me, was like you want to take it or not, didn't care about customer situation. Waste money for nothing. I can recomend budget or avis but NOT Enterprice.If I booked 8 passanger car, I should get 8 passanger car not 7 passanger.
Great staff, quick service. My only issue was there wasn't any wiper fluid in the car.

The shuttle, the driver, personnel at the rental facility were all exceptional. We were a big party with quite a few luggage. They helped us to load/unload them and get the vehicle ready within a short time considering it was Thanks Giving. The drop off in NY city worked flawlessly as well. The only minor issue we had was that a previous renter had possibly smoked in the car and the smell could be still felt.

Pickup and drop off were easy, the car was new (2020 model, 14k miles on it).The car *reeked* of cigarette smoke and getting a tire replaced was a hassle despite insurance. We did not notice the smoke immediately on pickup because we were wearing masks and they had sprayed some cleaning product which covered it up for a bit. We left the windows open for hundreds of miles of driving over three days and the smell never quite went away. Considering that they charge around $200 from renters who smoke in the car, one should think that they do more about it afterwards. Or at least compensate renters who get the car afterwards. We also had a lot of trouble resolving an issue with a flat tire. Roadside assistance was fast, but the donut spare tire they put on only works for 50 miles. It took us over half a dozen phone calls to different Alamo/Enterprise hotlines and branches, trying to get a replacement car or a new tire. No replacements cars were available in the entire Albany, NY region due to the holiday weekend. We finally learned from a more competent employee that Alamo and Enterprise have a partnership with Firestone, so you can get a tire replaced there free of charge. It would have saved us about an hour to learn that from the first hotline which you call for roadside assistance. Also, when you book full insurance you expect that these kinds of things are covered more flexibly. It appears that totaling the car in an accident would have been covered but getting a replacement tire anywhere but Firestone would have not? How does that make sense?

The representatives I met w/in person were above & beyond. They know their job, & were absolutely wonderful to interact with. My one complaint was my vain attempts to get thru to a living individual via phone when I had a question that I could not find an answer to on the website. That will give me pause in future, knowing this. Incredibly frustrating.

I was charged a much different amount than what the contract and the customer service agent said I would. I never received a receipt once I dropped off the vehicle. The vehicle was absolutely filthy (gum stuck to carpet, vomit in window openings) and it also needed new windshield wipers which ended up being somewhat of a safety hazard due to rain.

Kayak conveniently adjusted itself to show pickup at LaGuardia while I mentioned Newark as my pickup location, had to cancel that reservation to rebook one from Newark. Also, Kayak is middleman for another website, so what's the bleeping point? The lesson I learned was skip all the aggregator websites and go the actual company.

Avoid this Hertz. Horrible experience. Staff and management that do not care. I was told by Errol to pick up any car at section 3 (600- 611). 10 minutes with my bags until finding the section which is 200 feet away from the office. i had to come back and Errol laughs it off and says here is your car pointing somewhere to the outside. The car had a funky smell to it like someone vomited and Hertz tried cleaning it. I asked the manager (Abi) for a different car he said that's all they have but I can wait a few hours because people are returning cars. I had no choice but take the car. No one was even apologetic to the situation, Covid is over, they are busy and therefore do not give a crap.

After being quoted $226 for our rental I just checked my receipt and was charged an extra $400 in bogus fees. The office is closed so there is no one to answer my complaints. I was completely ripped off and they took full advantage of our credit card on file.

I was charged an obscene amount of surcharges. A full extra day for coming one hour late And although the car was given to me with a half a tank of gas I (which I made sure to refill) I was charged as if it had been full. Unacceptable. Instead of $100 it cost me $240!!!
I did not need extra liability insurance and the woman conned me into getting it.

We book via Kayak with rentalCars.com and the car rental place was already closed by the time our plane landed and we were not able to get our rental car - with 3 kids, in the rain and a weeks worth of luggage - we had to get a car from another rental office that stayed open passed 8:30pm, in NYC!

I was harassed to buy additional liability insurance and it was excessively offensive bordering too close to the edge of being unlawfully manipulative (I turned it down at the rental purchase and onsite 3 times). It was just so gross. It was very disappointing and unprofessional.

Tried exchanging at 4 different dollar locations and no one would take the car. Tried calling and emailing customer service multiple times and nobody helped or answered back. Probably the worst rental car experience ever. First and Last with dollar. By no means rent with this company where they simply don’t care about the customer.

The wait was long to rent and return the car, due to there not being enough personnel to help customers. There was an even longer wait @ LaGuardia for the shuttle bus. We waited for the shuttle for more than 30 minutes while the other rental car buses came every 5 - 10 minutes. It was also difficult to find the rental return near La Guardia. Walter

We paid upfront but be aware that at pick-up you will be charged taxes and other small fees, so we actually went above our projected budget than what our online charge showed.

The one staff member May was very helpful. But that is where it stopped.I made a reservation in advance but the SUV I reserved was not there when I arrived. It then took 20 minutes to get ahold of someone to find the vehicle. Then took 20 minutes to clean the vehicle. On my return. There was no one to greet me or check me out.
Couldn’t pick up our car. Line for pickup was wrapped around the building. If we waited, we would have missed the wedding we were in town for!

Outside wasn’t washed, no floor mats. Kinda smelled like smoke and deodorizer all mashed together. Also no instructions before returning the car. So we were kinda confused. But all in all not bad. Car ran fine, stereo was decent enough. Had Apple car play. So it was ok.
I liked the vehicle choice, for sure. What could have been better? The vehicle windshield had a small crack in it which I couldn't see when I picked it up at night, but was visible in the morning. On my trip I had to take it to get an oil change because the notification on the Nissan Rogue wouldn't stop. I went to Valvoline to get the oil change which was $80. Since I prepaid for the vehicle they couldn't credit me back I was told. Which isn't fair because the oil change should have been taken care of before I even picked the vehicle. The person who retrieved the car during my return was impatient in receiving my email address, which was understandable, but still was rude. The location was an Avis and Payless so there wasn't really a separation in who handled the return. All and all, the vehicle experience was good and safe, just the cracked windshield, oil change, and service I recieved when I returned the vehicle wasn't the greatest. I was told that I should have brought the vehicle back for an oil change, I was already in mid travel I'm not going to turn back and head hours away just to get an oil change.

I didn’t even rent the car. I showed up at 1 pm to get to a wedding by 4:30 that’s an hour away. Any other company I’d have plenty of time. The line was 40+ people out the door. I waited for 30 minutes and the line barely moved. I ended up walking over to Hertz and getting a car from them. I think Kayak or Payless overbooked irresponsibly and I lost out on money because of it.

Pick-up and drop-off was a fairly simple process.When we received our car, the tire pressure light was on. We connected with an employee who filled the tires with air. When finished, the light was still on, but the employee said that "it's because the tires need some time to warm up" (it had snowed two days in a row previously). We had a car for a total of three days and two nights. The tire pressure light never turned off. I wish the employee had taken more care to look into the issue and/or escalate the matter so that we could receive a new car.

Pick staff were friendly but at drop off the manager was disrespectful and rude. We need to use a restroom and the manager refused, saying that since we dropped off the car we were no longer customers and could care less if we needed to use the restroom. I was shocked at that response.The vehicle was dirty and had a sticky film in the inside of the driver side window. They didn’t have our reserved car class and we were given a minivan. Plus the utter disrespect and rudeness at drop off was unacceptable.

Location did not have car when I arrived, had to wait for about four hours at rental car location for a car. Once I picked up the car is smelled heavily of marijuana smoke, no discount was offered. Rental car location did not clean car, I had to disinfect the car myself. When I tried to return the car I called the location multiple times and they did not pick up, instead they sent me an email address to contact to contact the agency, I emails and have not heard anything back yet (it’s been two days). Horrible experience, I will not be using advantage again.

Staff seemed friendly but slow and unaccommodating.No car was ready when we got there, in the past at other locations/ agencies if they didn’t have the car requested, I’ve gotten the next level up. Instead we waited more than an hour after the paperwork was filled, multiple prompts to find out status. Wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.
I asked for ez pass since I was traveling from NYC to VA and the lady behind the counter said the car had ez pass in it but the car didn't. She didn't walk me and my husband to the car only from 20 feet away she pointed at two of them and said to pick one. Lo and behold, no ez pass! Which we didn't discover until we were on the highway and had to back up and pay by credit card. Terrible! I will never rent with National again!

Ah details. All was great; only very annoying fly in ointment - entrance to drop off location not marked. Please go to Boston location and see there's construction everywhere, several garages in block and the address nonsensical - 2 given, one doesn't exist (at least from car) and other the starting with # 50 actually came after 100 and then 110. Not until a very stressful time (no one to ask on a Sunday early) did we find that 50 was indeed after 100 and 110. Not a sign for National to be seen anywhere (it was there AFTER entering very the messy garage with construction everywhere) that we encountered a sigh. PUT A SIGN AT ENTRANCE!!!!! Otherwise great, James G. who helped with car absolutely great, the woman at counter who directed me to James G. whose name I didn't catch also great, the driver of shuttle really nice and person who directed me to counter also wonderful. So you get al 5 stars, deducting nothing for your missing sign because your staff in NYC otherwise compensated greatly.

I had to call both Lynchburg and Queens National locations prior to pickup, and though my issue was not able to be resolved ahead of time, Cody in Lynchburg and Elena in Queens were extremely courteous and helpful. At the time of pickup, the counter staff was helpful and my pickup was smooth. The gate associate was personable and helpful as well.

The staff at the National pickup in Queens gave us the wrong information about adding another person. They insisted that my travel partner was not covered on the insurance and were very dismissive and unhelpful about how we could resolve the issue. Upon going to another National car service location at Newark airport (far out of our way to our travel destination) we finally received some helpful advice from the clerk there. I was very upset that the National Car service location in queens was not more informed on the issue and helpful. It seemed like they just wanted to clock out and didn't care about nay type of customer service. I WILL NOT be renting from National againThe customer service and transparency on terms.

I ordered a rental cause my car was in the shop. A day or two later I got a call my car was ready. I canceled my order but you have to pay a $100 cancellation fee regardless of how many days you are from reservation. If you create a rental and then an hour later you cancel? $100.

The pick up and drop off experience were great. The shuttles from the airport were nice and the drivers friendly. The only issue is that after we dropped off the car, and an employee looked at everything with us standing there, the next day they claimed there were scratches. It was impossible for us to have made them. We picked up the car, stopped at a convenience store (only one person went in) stopped to fill up before dropping it off (again, only 1 person left the car) and we dropped it off. We told them this, and they didn't contact us again, so it ended up ok. But, would've been even better without that potential incident.

The staff was awful. Locked me outside in the dark. I made a 7:00 reservation and at 6:30 was standing outside waiting for the shuttle. Finally the driver picked me up. Only to get there and they tell me that they’re closing and shut everything down. It s was beyond awful.
