Pros: Staff really friendly and helpful. Nice room with bathtub and shower, decent size for Singapore. The complimentary food in the evening is marvellous and as good quality as anything we found nearby, it was a lovely surprise. Drinks are complimentary too. Nice pool. Reasonably close walking distance to Orchard Road (although up a little hill). Would definitely consider staying again.

Cons: Some cosmetic faults with the room, cupboard doors hanging off, ill-fitting toilet seat that slid off when sat on, but nothing major.

Pros: Clean, friendly and convinient. Appreciate that the facilities are 24 hours, and that the cost is all inclusive.

Cons: Lighting in room is a little bright, but I am nitpicking here.

Pros: The hotel is OK, located on a quiet street next to the York hotel. The room was normal size (it seems bigger in the picture) and is fairly clean. The bed was super king-size and very comfortable, I slept well. The sheets were clean and I have enjoyed the 4 pillows provided. A big plus for this hotel is the food and drinks provided for the breakfast and evenings which was really good and varied, I liked that it included also food from Asian cuisine not only European cuisine. The kitchen staff was pleasant and helpful. The minibar has soft drinks and water and it is filled every day. We only had the water and a coconut drink as we don't consume soft drinks in general but it is good to have. I liked the little garden near the fountain where you can enjoy your breakfast or a drink.

Cons: The hotel is a bit far from the MRT station (15-20 min) walking distance. It took us a while to find our way to the hotel as the Orchard MRT station is busy and has many exits. When we have booked the hotel a mobile phone service and access to the pool was advertised and included in the price which weighed a lot in our decision to book this particular hotel. Later, after we've paid, I have received an email from the hotel saying that the phone company has left Singapore so the service was not available anymore. The pool was also not accessible either as it was renovated, but the hotel hasn't previously informed us about this. The hotel room has thin walls and you can hear everything, the aircon is really noise so we had to close it during the night to be able to sleep but we could hear those of our neighbours. The reception staff wasn't very communicative and didn't seem welcoming at all. In conclusion, it is a good hotel, but it offers less than advertised so you end up paying more on fewer services provided.

Pros: Dinner was wonderful and convenient. Choices were limited, but each dish was oh-so-yummy. Location was was in town, which is good (though there was a long walk up-slope to reach the hotel - but some exercise would do you good!)

Cons: I had a problem with the bathtub where the water wouldn't go down after use. The maintenance guy had to come fix it (twice during the stay). Service was really fast when called for help though! The staff were wonderful!

Pros: I liked the colonial style of the hotel, the swimming pools are great. It is a nice, relaxed atmosphere and very good quality food is available on the property.

Cons: I would have preferred to have view on the swimming pool not towards the street. I could not see this option when I booked the room.

Cons: 1) The reception staff is unassuming, ״square״ and not flexible at all and do not try to listen to the customer requests! They tried to “convince” us about the availability of room we have ordered, and then tried to send us to a separate building which was a two-minute walk from the hotel. Finally we got a run-down room, with worn carpets, not clean with mold and stains in the shower. 2) We waited about 20 minutes for a taxi to the airport on exit, in line, in the heat, outside the lobby

Pros: Incredible staff. They welcomed me by name from exiting the taxi (probably took a quick look at bag tags) but the small touches were all over the well-trained staff. These people get hospitality!! Pool is great, tranquil and tropical despite location in the center of the Orchard district.

Cons: Room didn't have a great view given the awkward angle of the window placement. Very little natural light to an otherwise beautiful "standard" room. The hotel "bar" in the basement is a hooker lounge full-stop. We've all seen the upscale hotel bars with a few working girls here and there but this is on another level where as if an NYC swish bar met the Bangkok red light district... If you're just going for a casual drink with a lady friend or colleague who is not looking for this, it's going to be awkward.... hard to believe a global brand like Hyatt is so closely associated... (but you can believe it brings great biz to Hyatt so they turn the other way.

Pros: All needed is located on the property. Easy taxi ride to and from airport and also to other locations in town.

Cons: Was a bit costly and restaurant service was slow.
