I was not given a damage slip or told to look at the damage ahead of time on my rental car. I was told (through an email) that a scratch was there that had not been there before my rental. I drove the car the entire time with the exception of valets at my hotel and did not cause damage. Because I did not get to inspect it and was not given a form to do so, I do not have evidence that something happened under my watch and just have to take their word. I also would have liked them to tell me when I turned the car in, as I did not have a chance to see what they are saying I did. It all feels pretty unfair. This could have been resolved if they had given me a damage form ahead of time.Reviewed 4 Dec 2023

Good car. Easy pick up and drop off. But the guy checking in the car at drop off was way too pedantic - customers before and after me were complaining as even the tiniest mark easily rubbed off was being circled. Luckily I photographed damage to my vehicle at pick up. Took way too long to do the drop off as I waited almost 20mins for the car Infront of me to be checked then almost ten minutes to check my car. Apart from drop off all good.Reviewed 21 Nov 2022

The service during our rental experience was phenomenal. We received especially great service from Subhadra during our pickup at SFO. She was extremely helpful in talking us through our options and helping us arrive at the car that was the best fit for our trip.Reviewed 15 Oct 2022

I was so glad I wasn’t in the hour-long Budget line at SFO – apparently that is normal. I was annoyed that Sixt’s mobile check-in didn’t work and that I got “upgraded” to an SUV that ended up having a charge of $140 added for my pre-paid gas. I only used half the tank so I really didn’t need that!Reviewed 10 Oct 2022

Staff was easy to work with, process was simple and streamlined, lines were much shorter than other car rentals, and the price was less. The car itself was perfect for our needs and in great condition, nearly newReviewed 5 Oct 2022

We rented a small SUV from Sixt. I walked around the car at the beginning of the rental, and didn't see any damage. During our trip we barely used it, parked it at a private home, and in a big uncrowded lot at a conference, and returned it at 4:45am - no attendant was there. I then get an email from Sixt saying that we damaged the car!!! We had no accident, no curb hit, nothing that would even slightly damage the car. I can't believe a car rental agency this big would try something like that. Total B.S. - Avoid Sixt. They are good in Europe (we've rented from them a number of times there, but the U.S. is different).Reviewed 20 Sept 2022

Avoid this place. The car they gave me had pot smokers in it and it was too much. I didn't take the car and got a different one. Then they tried to charge me for a scratch on it. I never had the car!!!!! It took me 2 hours on the phone to resolve. No apologies. Nothing for wasting my and the military time as I was on orders. If it pops up in DTS- don't select. Choose alternate.Reviewed 21 Aug 2022
