I asked for a Toyota Camry or equivalent. They had one, but the agent asked if I wanted to be bumped up to a BMW 3. Between him wearing a mask, having a glass wall between us, him speaking rather quietly and me being 75, I thought he said "free upgrade". Turns out it cost me $150 for three days. Kayak quoted me a price for a car that Sixt did not have in stock. It cost me $60 to get to the airport to find this out. The car they did have would have been an additional $500. Apparently this happens all the time with customers referred to them by Kayak- the website does not make sure the cars are available before offering them to customers. A waste of time and money.
