My poor experience about pricing transparency. The cost of the rental car was 30% more than the kayak quote, and the initial estimate from thrifty. I was charged the additional 30% after returning the car, and had zero add ons. The receipt / charges are extremely unclear what the additional cost was. I attempted to reach out to their customer service and the process is to send a vague complaint form . I feel like I was scammed- but have no recourse- I definitely will not be using thrifty ever again. We arrived and they didn’t have the car we booked. I told them it was fine to put us in something else, BUT they had no cars available. We had to wait for 35-40 minutes for a car that was in horrible condition.Reviewed 19 Oct 2024

Did not have a car. Required me to run my credit card again. Could not give me a receipt. Their procedure was that I should wait on the floor with 20 plus other people. I eventually got a car with another company. Could not cancel my "reservation" or "rental" with Thrifty. Pick up was great. Rico, who was helping me, was an absolute pleasure. However, driving off the lot was the worst experience. It took me close to 45 mins to leave. It was the slowest process to leave. Will never be renting a car from LAX again.Reviewed 13 Oct 2024
