10.0 Excellent
Pros: Characterful converted convent with excellent facilities. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Interesting local food in a well appointed restaurant. The rooms are bigger than normal and comfortable with supportive mattresses. The town is a mine of interest.
Cons: VERY difficult to find because the local authority is against signage! Not the Parador's fault. Use a good GPS.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic historical city and excellent hotel
Cons: Poor/absent signage to the hotel from the main roads below and through the old city. We had little hot water in our suite.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: With room upgrade should have included complimentary breakfast.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is really good both for looking at the old town and for easily getting out of town to look for wildlife. The Paradore itself is in a lovely old building. The breakfast is a buffet with a good choice and some hot dishes available. The old nuns' rooms are large and airy and generally peaceful with views over the town.
Cons: I do wish that it was possible to get something hot to eat after 4.00pm and before 8.00pm. Not everyone wants to have an evening meal as late as that and the cafe really ought to have a few items available and not just ham and cheese sandwiches or cake.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is spacious, very clean, well designed and includes everything needed. The hotel is beautiful, includes many areas for relaxation, staff is extremely helpful. location is prefect, close to all historical attraction and to excellent restaurants. I strongly recommend this hotel to all travelers, and we will certainly return to this hotel.
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous hotel and town. Beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent 2 nights in the Parador de Trujillo and enjoyed the experience of staying in a converted convent. The building was beautiful, located within easy walking distance of the old town centre, but with easy access to on street or secure parking. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very pleasant. It was a great place from which to explore the medieval towns of Trujillo and Caceres.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to city center, although through back streets.
Cons: Room was a bit basic.

The lady on reception was very friendly she spoke perfect english & nothing was too much trouble for her. On arrival she gave us information on the town & where everything was & Restaurants options. The town of Trujillo is a beautiful place with a lovely Square & at night its truly Magical. We spent 2 nights there & would certainly go back if ever passing that way again
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was fine and the price reasonable.
Cons: The staff was not friendly and very unhelpful. The biggest disappointment was that we left a new down filled jacket on the bed in our room. We called and emailed multiple times to make arrangements to get it back. Not once did they reply to us. So much for their professionalism. Extremely disappointing. It also raises questions of competence and integrity.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: location close to to historic square good parking friendly reception
Cons: nothing really
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff couldn't have been more helpful and went to great lengths to sort out a ground floor room for me.
Cons: n/a
8.0 Excellent
Pros: 3 night stay. Standard double room on the ground floor. A simple room in a nice building, spacious, clean, comfortable, & everything worked. Direct access from room into the gardens at the rear with table & chairs immediately outside. Quiet location in the casco antiguo 100m outside the central square & tourist-town, and all the better for that. Lovely friendly & accommodating staff - '¡gracias señoras'! Excellent breakfast for moderate cost. I found ample street parking though there is a private car park. I travel quite a lot. This hotel absolutely met my requirements.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and large room, within walking distance of all sights. Parking for which we paid extra was easy and tucked away. Bedroom overlooking garden with french windows. Very interesting historical building. Would certainly stay again.
Cons: Taps in bathroom were very old and dull and broken, needing repair/updating.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, room was peaceful, a good size with a large, comfortable bed. The staff were very nice although at times we had to wait at the desk a while for them to come (I think they do several jobs at the hotel). Generally it was great value for money and a fantastic location to stay in Trujillo, 5 minute walk to Plaza Mayor but in a more tranquil area (away from areas with clubs and people drinking and partying on the streets very late). There's also parking for €5 and breakfast for €4 (although we missed this as we overslept due to the room being very dark and quiet!).
Cons: Not much; the shower was a little small and the bathroom door a bit creaky.

Hostal Hueso - Trujillo - Building
4
8.4 Excellent (666 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hostal Hueso places you in the heart of Trujillo, steps from Palace of the Marquis of the Conquest and Plaza Mayor. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean, comfortable room. Good value for money. Nice staff.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property is well-located, just off the Plaza Mayor. The property, like the town itself, is packed with character and charm, and the bedroom is furnished in the traditional Spanish style - simple yet functional.
Cons: Unfortunately the shower fixture was loose and wouldn’t hold the shower head in place. This led to an incident straight out of slapstick comedy when the shower head made a bid for freedom across the bathroom floor, spraying water wherever it went. This is my only real issue with the property and it wouldn’t stop me from staying there again or recommending to others.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location next to the Plaza Mayor (though Trujillo is tiny, so EVERYWHERE is next to the Plaza Mayor!). The hostal is above, and owned/run by, a small bar/restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quite large for a single.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place is spectacular and the hostel is so comfortable
6.7 Good
Pros: Great food. Friendly staff. Great location around the corner from the main square.
Cons: Poor beds and bedding. Lots of mosquitoes in room. All of us got bitten. Shower fell apart.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel with the perfect location right in the center of Trujillo. 1-2 min walk to Plaza Mayor/Cathedral, 10 min up to the Alcazaba Castle on the hilltop. Friendly and helpful staff, and the hotel has an attached restaurant that came highly rated (unfortunately I did not eat here). Good wi-fi. For solo/budget travelers, this is a great deal, and I would probably stay here again if I ever revisit Trujillo.
Cons: The room and the bathroom were small (bathroom door did not open all the way).
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the excellent location, the facilities were rather good, the convenience of having a restaurant and the kindness of the staff. Overall, I was very satisfied with my staying at Hostal Hueso. Recommended.
Cons: To mention something, it would be advisable to put up notches for the shower curtain. It carried on sticking to my body while having a shower!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is good. Close to thePlaza Mayor.
Cons: Nothing special.

Pros: Reasonable price for basic, adequate accomodation in smaller type of family-run hotel. Walking distance from citycenter and old historic center. Friendliness of staff, good try to serve us in English.
Cons: Breakfast : unfortunately, only bread, jam and coffee. My fault : should have paid attention during booking, but this is the reason why I would not go back there
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. You could book secure parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The downstairs area was very tastefully decorated. The Hostal was easy to find and drive to unlike some up in the old town.
Cons: The Aircon was not very efficient in the bedroom. The bedroom allocated to us was dated. Breakfast was just what you would order at the bar toastado and coffee
5.8 Okay

From his personal library to his gorgeous garden and pool, this home is built for lingering. Ana is a gracious host who will provide you with a good filling breakfast to give you the energy to wander around the narrow hilly streets and worthwhile sights of this “conquistador town”. The castle and main plaza are musts. Like us, you might find yourselves wanting to stay longer.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a gorgeous historic house in a beautiful part of town. It is quite unique and the swimming pool environment is totally relaxing. The host is very helpful and booked us into a nearby restaurant for the evening, which we all really enjoyed. If you are coming by car you must contact him on arrival in Trujillo as you will never find the house on your own and he will show you the way - albeit in his own teutonic manner.
Cons: We were disappointed to find that the rooms we had selected on booking were not available due to some problem with a water leak. As it cost about $10 more/night I didn't book a room with a view of the plaza, but when I arrived, a room facing the plaza happened to be open and they gave me that room for no extra cost! That was really, really nice of the owner. The next time I visit I will definitely pay extra for a room with the plaza view - totally worth it!
