excellent room dissapointing bar food
Comfortable beds, good food in bars and resturant In room breakfast was a disaster with no plate, no preserves and the butter had melted to a liquid, and teapot was unusable.
Friendliness of staff especially at breakfast
staff were a lil frustrating when trying to check out some details. also when asked to pay by cash. the staff put the bill through on to credit card with out informing myself. along with not being there in person. this was uncalled for!!!
It was within easy access of Rugby and Northampton, all of the staff very pleasant and polite. As we were tight for time we didn't get to grips with the Leisure facilities but it all looked excellent. Had a slight problem with its name - Daventry Hotel as it was different to the one we booked - Barceló but once we arrived that was sorted out and allw as fine thereafter.
Relaxed environment and gym facilities
We ordered room service but they did not bring us the correct food (some items missing) and one dish completely wrong. Had I have not checked with Reception, we would have been charged for the wrong order.
Hotel was fantastic great facilities great views Staff very poor slow said the would do something and didn't like wine in the room still waiting even though I am a member really bad staff front off house bar staff poor gym staff brilliant
stunning views, excellent location dated and tired rooms, single beds held together poorly to become a double bed, not what we expected for a £140 a night hotel
The room we occupied was peacefull and warm with good room service I was placed in a dissabled friendly room. The view from which was very poor, since this was a countryside hotel
The spa area was very nice and enjoyable. Great views from the pool.
The food was terrible
Very friendly staff, nice walks, good food, and very good value for money, and a nice central location in the heart of England. The brown sauce, get HP !!!
View of the lake I would like to have soap supplied as I prefer a bath to a shower
Good facilities, helpful staff and the setting was amazing No
The staff were very helpful and tried hard to please us as a family - setting up appropriate beds for our small children. The sound proofing of the rooms was awful. The attitude of the other guests was totally unacceptable. The men in the room below continued to have a party in their room until 4am - despite the young member of staff asking them to keep the noise down. They were rude and obnoxious to the staff and completely unaware of their antisocial behaviour. If this is a reflection of the kind of people who stay at this hotel, then it is a real shame as the staff and facilities were fine. The walls were paper thin, and this exhaibated the problem. I wouldn't stay here again because of the other guests.
Comfortable and spacious room, very large and comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommended.
Pleasant atmosphere and good food in the adjacent Chef and Brewer with excellent service. This particular hotel is at a busy junction, so was a lot of road noise through the night from large haulage trucks.
Excellent staff.Receptionist, Sally, particularly helpful Bad points?- Only that we didn't stay for longer!
we did not like the breakfast as the food seemed very poor quality.
Ease of check in, Good parking and near to Silverstone. No problem finding it. Good beds Outside maintainance poor. Gutters overflowing, This may have caused smell of damp in room. can be a little noisy from other guests in rooms above.
The bed was comfortable Check in process very slow, room a long way from reception through another carpark to which I was given vague directions at night, the kettle leaked from the base when boiling and soaked my belongings which were on the worktop, the smoke alarm went off at approx 5.45 and then again 15 mins later - no explanation,or reassurance that everything was ok. The toilet handle was in danger of coming off the wall if not used very carefully.
Packing my bags to leave the place as it was filthy and worn out and not a very pleasant experience Broken windows, a toilet that was filled with sewage to within one inch of the top
None Poor food in restaurant No heating in bathroom No hot water for shower
Good to have a hotel attached to a pub restaurant. The staff were very helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious.
The leisure facilities were really lovely only that the check out seemed very early (9.30) for a Sunday which kind of made us have to rush
The location was great for what we needed i was at a interview close by.
The hotel was very empty and the morning buffet was very poor in future I belive a plated service would be far better
the reason for my stay at the hotel was to play in a golf event the following morning. i didn't like that the spa was not in hotel and mean't a walk or quick drive depending on weather.
The room was fantastic and we loved having a patio door. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The pool facilities were great and very accomodating with free towels and lovely jaccuzi.the breakfast in the morning had an excellent choice to suit everyone.
leisure club was excellent, also complementary hot drinks was a nice bonus, breakfast was good.
The room was very cold. The fan in the en suite made a terrible noise and the shower and toliet were dirty.
comfortable rooms, food ok,staff very helpful The fact that I had asked for a wheelchair accessible room my room was a very long way from reception.I am used to self sevice but usually tea and coffee are served
Receptionist very rude on our arrival. We had booked at special room rate at £39 reduced from £119 and it reflected on the room & the service we recieved......absolutley disgusting!!! Would not recommend booking any specials to this this hotel or you won't get the service you should!!!!
The staff were welcoming and helpful
