Terrible. They rented me a car with a defective right rear tire and the vehicle did not have a spare. When I contacted Budget, they did not have another vehicle available within a reasonable distance. I had to wait until 11 pm for a tow truck to arrive to recover their vehicle and I still have not received a refund.Reviewed 23 Jun 2026

I ordered an intermediate SUV and got a Dodge Hornet. I should have known better about what I was receiving ...my bad. The agent did offer an upgrade but I was in a hurry to leave, next time I will be more informed.Reviewed 3 Jun 2026

I was charged to gas when I returned it full. I contacted customer service and they will fix it. However, it was a 20 minute effort. Everything else was great.Reviewed 10 May 2026

There were 4 people ahead of me when I went to pick up the rental car and only 2 agents. While I was waiting in line, about another dozen clients walked in - I would not have been happy to be the last person in that line. It probably took me 30 minutes to get the car. (2 interruptions by customers who were having issues with the cars they just rented) The agents were friendly and professional, the car suited my needs and I had no issues with it beyond connecting it to my iPhone for the navigation tool. Returning the car was very easy and quick and the shuttle promptly returned us to the airportReviewed 24 Apr 2026

The car was dirty, it had a low tire the entire time we had the car. So we had to keep stopping at gas stations to put air in it. It was extremely small for an suv. We would have been better off in a car.Reviewed 14 Apr 2026

My Reservation Number - 42854989-US-2. I picked up the car on 3/25 at 8.55AM and was supposed to return it at 4/09 9.00AM, but I returned the car ONE DAY EARLY. I returned it at 4/08 around 8.30 PM, but I am still being charged a LATE fees. I received the car with full gas and I returned the car with full gas. I filled up the car from a gas station near cary. The only driving after filling up the car is around 5 miles or so. But I al also being charged for almost 2 gallons of gas. I believe that both cases above are cruel and budget is just trying to squeeze more money out of customers without any valid reason. IT IS UNFAIR TO CHARGE LATE FEES WHEN THE CAR WAS RETURNED EARLY. Very disappointed and heartbroken. Note: When the car was returned the previous day, I even walked into the office and asked the lady about a checkout receipt and the lady said that there is nothing for her to give me because I am supposed to do just leave the car with the keys inside and the guy will check it in. (please check your camera during that time).Reviewed 10 Apr 2026
