Made advance reservation weeks ahead of time and pre paid. Arrived at the airport and I was informed that dollar and hertz did not hold any cars for me even though I had made the reservation confirmed it 24 hours ahead as requested. I am now having to waste my time to try to get reimbursement for the poor service and terrible business practices. I will never rent from dollar ever again.Reviewed 3 Sept 2024

The insurance situation was absurd. In order to decline their coverage they wanted a 5000 euro deposit and printed paperwork showing you had coverage through some other vendor. The person at the counter acknowledged that our credit card likely provided insurance but was not interested in discussing further. We were just shooed away when we tried to ask questions. This information needs to be clearly explained ahead of time, not on a random cardboard cutout on the desk at time of pickup. Instead you are forced to pay for overpriced third party insurance you don't need.Reviewed 3 Sept 2024

Did not get care because they changed the terms of pickup and wanted to downgrade to a smaller car. They do not take debit, which is the closest thing to cash. Wil not even call them. Staff is not courteous and act like you are a bother. Look elsewhere, everyone else is just as affordable.Reviewed 3 Sept 2024

When I arrived to the rental desk, there simply was no car for me to rent. I lost the Uber money (from Toronto to Thornill) and had to get another Uber (from Thornill to the Airport) to rent a car (in another company, naturally).Reviewed 2 Sept 2024

The price on Kayak was for a managers special. Which they make an electric car then charge nearly 100 to “upgrade” to an automatic. Complete rip off. All the staff were courteous but the whole thing is a corporate scam.Reviewed 1 Sept 2024

Nothing wrong. Jennifer at check in was outstanding. Only problem was difficulty getting in and out of the model 3. I have a model y and access is much easier. But that was no fault of Dollar. Otherwise, the experience was nice and smooth.Reviewed 1 Sept 2024

Be very careful when selecting your car if they send you the option to go “skip the line and go straight to your car.” My only option was an electric car (EV) and I clicked the icon. That seemed a bit sneaky. The Dollar staff was able to help me, but it took some time to switch out the car. Otherwise, everyone was very nice and the car I drove away with was new and very clean.Reviewed 1 Sept 2024
