Pros: Breakfasts and evening wine & cheese features were great. Clean accommodations, very nice, friendly, helpful staff. Nice location, quiet, even on holiday! lovely atmosphere and decor.
Cons: Not or handicapped where we were. Stairs-No elevator, but had ramps. Beds are sometimes high to access and in corners which may be difficult to maneuver. Furniture nice but not comfy. Local Restaurant closed New Years, so you could walk or order out.
Pros: The breakfast was delicious. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the staff was supper nice.
First. Do not use Priceline. They are unwilling to alter the reservation in any way, their call center has no authority to respond to customer needs, and the reservation resulted in probably the worst room in the B&B.
Pros: Decent location in Gainesville. Nice outdoors area. Big porch which we used to have pizza with our friends.
Cons: Staff seemed aloof. The room was on the third floor...38 steps up. The sunken tub required some gymnastics to enter. Our room had a separate bathroom across the hall.
Sweetwater Branch Inn is just 4.8 mi (7.7 km) from the airport and offers a shuttle at scheduled times for USD 15 per person one way. Guests can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant and visit the spa to be pampered with massages, aromatherapy, or hydrotherapy. An outdoor pool and a terrace are other highlights, and rooms at this Victorian bed & breakfast offer up nice touches like pillowtop beds with Egyptian cotton sheets.
Cons: Arrived only to find out they couldn't honor our reservation. Told us they were sorry.

Pros: Wonderful, homey yet hip feel to this place. It's quite vibrant, with comfy rooms and kind staff. Pool, teeny fitness center really makes active folks feel at home.
Cons: Being in Gainesville, it's typically full of young families. And with en-suite kitchens, it's also full of cooking smells and the sounds of kids. If you're into that, it's fine. If not--well, book higher floors where the noise level is lower. But wall insulation IS nice and thick!
Pros: Very comfortable rooms. Clean and staff was friendly. The breakfast had lots of items to choose from. We only stayed 1 night, but the kitchen was equipped nicely for a long stay. And the layout for the one bedroom was convenient traveling with a teen.
Pros: Wonderful all suite hotel near I-75 in Gainesville. Extremely good location from he school and next to a least a dozen restaurants and good shopping for college needs. Very clean, nice pool, gym, laundry and very large units including full kitchen with full refrigerators. Highly recommend, reasonable price, very clean and lovely staff.

Pros: Nice staff and well kept facilities. Convenient location downtown
Cons: Managers treats
Pros: The location was excellent, and the staff was friendly. The room was very nice. Pleasant breakfast.
Cons: I had to call the desk because the TV wouldn't change channels. Had to unplug and re-plug. Then it was fine.

Pros: The room size, cleanliness and breakfast buffet.
Pros: Staff and room were great. We have stayed in many hotels in Gainesville, this is one we keep going back to.
Cons: Air conditioner blew on to the bed closest to it.
Cons: Rooms are small and noisy. We could hear people in the rooms next door . Not much insulation between walls of rooms .

Cons: The view from our room looked out at a wall 3 feet away. When I tried to make coffee the coffee maker smelled like it had been cleaned with nail polish remover. When I opened a box of their soap and there was a pubic hair on the bar. This was obviously a used bar of soap.
Pros: I have stayed at The Lodge many times over the last 25 years. The hotel is still relevant and in good shape. The staff is excellent. The office facility is very good. The popcorn and bar in the evening, with a fireplace, is a great place to relax after a long day.
Cons: The office used to have two computers and now has one. I had to wait a few minutes to be able to get some work done. Not a big deal but maybe something that could be addressed.
Pros: Comfortable, nice bar area, cozy. Clean
Cons: Bar tender not quite with it. breakfast waffle maker a mess and needs instructions posted better.
Pros: The room we stayed in was adequate but not great by any means. This property is very old but has great potential. The room that we stayed in faced the court yard and had very tranquil qualities when we opened up the sliding glass door. Property needs an upgrade really bad. Location off I-75 is great and local dining places are very close.
Cons: This is a 2 to 3 star hotel at best with above average hotel rates. Owners and management need to upgrade the rooms and stop using caulk to cure 30 year old problems. Faucets and fixtures are from the 70's and should all be replaced. Has potential to be a great 4 star hotel. Would stop here again on business or leisure but not until the place has had a face lift.
Pros: Room we stayed in was huge! Our room had 2 double beds, and we had a pack & play for our baby. The room was so big that the pack & play didn't get in the way at all. Our 1-year-old & 3-year-old still had plenty of room to play on the floor with their new Christmas toys while we still had room to walk around.
The lobby area is great with the lodge theme, sitting areas and fireplace in the middle. We also liked the Christmas decorations: Christmas tree, reindeer and nativity scene!
Very good breakfast & good coffee!
Very good price as well.
Cons: Rooms are a little dated (but still very clean).
No fridge or microwave in the room we stayed in (not a huge issue, but could've been helpful, and many other hotels include them nowadays).
Pros: The rooms were very clean. The decor of the hotel was nice. The breakfast selection was extensive.
Pros: nice facility, comfortable clean room
Cons: Noisy hallways, staff, breakfast was awful
Location for UF
Cons: Chemical cleaning smell in room
Pros: Clean comfortable room, pillow top bed, hot breakfast, helpful friendly staff. Great value for the money.
Pros: The rooms are large, bathrooms nicely updated, however, found quite a bit of "stuff" under the bed. Front desk staff is lovely , evening cocktail hour is a pleasant addition. Pool and hot tub are always a plus. On check in I requested and received a handicapped first floor room by the pool, makes it possible to spend some time with my daughters. We had to go over to Shands for cardiac testing for my 17 year old and it was great to be able to look forward to relaxing at the pool afterward.
Cons: The general manager, Tim, had scheduled parking lot renovation for the weekend we were there. When we returned to the hotel the majority of the parking lot was blocked off and we were unable to park near the entrance closest to our room. As the entire parking lot appeared to be blocked off I stopped my car at the main entrance and went to the desk to ask where I was supposed to park. When I was told that I would have to park on the far back side of the hotel, this would require a walk of more than 300 feet, I explained that I have heart failure, I need a new heart, and that I'm not able to do that. I asked why on check in I wasn't informed that I wouldn't be able to park close to an entrance by my handicapped room. At this point Tim came from the area behind the desk telling the desk clerk that he would handle this. he informed me that there were handicapped spots on all sides of the building, so surely I could find one to use. I attempted to explain that not all handicapped people are alike, so not all handicapped spots are alike, and what my physical limitations are, but Tim talked over me saying we can move your room. I explained again the purpose of asking to be by the pool was to be able to spend time with my daughters, and moving me to another wing made it impossible for me to spend time by the pool with them. I asked for a workable solution where I didn't have to pack up all of our stuff, move our room, and not be able to spend time with my daughters. Time then said he would have someone "hold" a handicapped space (again on the far side of the building) for me, I then pointed out that this was in fact illegal, and the situation currently made the hotel non compliant with the ADA. Tim frequently yelled at me during this exchange, pointed out that he was the GM so there was nothing that would be done. When I asked who the owner is he snapped "Wells Fargo bank" at this point I gave up on finding a workable solution as the chest pain had started, I went to my car, and drove to the far side of the hotel, maneuvering around the construction equipment, having one construction worker wave me through and another then drive a piece of equipment almost into me. I finally get in a spot, and we start the walk to our room. (Had I known about the construction I would have brought my wheelchair like I do when walking distances is required, the hospital loans them for visitors and I mistakenly assumed I wouldn't have a great distance to walk). Instead of being with my girls I went to bed.
Since my diagnosis five years ago I take every chance I can to make memories with my daughters, and this trip could have been filled with fun memories for them, instead it was a stark reminder of what heart failure has taken from our family. Tim could have found a way to make the situation work with my physical limitations, instead he wanted to show me that he was the boss, and he made all the rules.

Cons: Hotel IDF located right in highway. Rooms have poor isolation and cars noise is disturbing a good night sleep
Pros: Easy check in/out, cookies and coffee in lobby all the time, hot tub and pool, free wifi in room
Cons: Woke up with multiple bites on my legs. Sheets were old and had holes and stains. Housekeeping service was variable. One day towels and sheets replaced, place felt clean. Other day bed was made but sheets not changed. Old and run down bathroom, paint chipping off walls, rust in sink and tub. Musty and damp smell in general. You can definitely tell this is a much older place attempting a rebranding. Needs an overhaul of the facilities, and an exterminator
Pros: Free breakfast. Clean room. Polite staff.
Pros: It was clean and comfy.
Cons: A bit pricey, but it was worth getting away for a few days!
Cons: The room had a slight stale smell, which even with the A/C on would persist.
Pros: Convenient location, easy parking, good hot breakfast every morning, quiet room, friendly staff. Perfect for business trip - one less thing I had to worry about.
Cons: Nothing really; reason why I have stayed twice now when on business.
Pros: GUEST OFFICE SAVED THE DAY WE HAD A DRINK SPILL ON SOME
FORMS THAT WE NEED MY WIFE RAN DOWN TO THE OFFICE SAVED THE DAY. THE BREAKFAST IN LOBBY IS NICE WE ENJOYED ARE STAY
Cons: USB CHARGING PORTS ARE 1.0A OK FOR A PHONE NOT
A TABLET A TABLET NEEDS 2.0A
Pros: Everything in this hotel is Excellent. The best hotel for the price. We definitely come back.
Pros: Staff was excellent. The lady at the check in went above and beyond helping my elderly mother to the room
Pros: Very helpful staff. I had been waiting for a fax to arrive at the hotel number and in the mean time they let me use the business center even well after my checkout. This was very useful for me. They also carried the fax to the business center when it arrived.
Cons: Had to park a little far at night when I was least willing to walk.
Pros: I enjoyed the breakfast buffet because it also had a nice selection of fruit and a wonderful fruit medley. Of coarse it had the regular breakfast items.
Cons: We really could not sleep well, because our room was attached to a adjoining room and that room kept there tv on all night loud. We ask for another room but there were no other non- smoking room available. I think they should work on sound proofing these rooms for people who would just like a good night sleep. Needless to say we were tired at our meeting next day.

Pros: comfortable beds, very nice updated rooms, decent breakfast. mini fridge was a +
Cons: nothing really, you could tell it was older but they were in the process of updating the hotel.
Pros: The cleaning staffs, they are very nice!!
Cons: There was a young lady whose argue with me soon as I get here, which made me very unhappy with her, but that's okay, and she work at the front desk, they told this hotel I would arrive late Wednesday, n the change me still for Tuesday, not fair, should be only time people stay, that's highway robbery!
Cons: Complimentary breakfast was poor in nature. No one tended when food was out. Food area was not clean and quite messy. Selection was poor at best.
- fitness center was broken down. I was not informed of this when i checked in even though i inquired about the location of the fitness center.
- Shower tub in room was dirty
Pros: I like the courteous staff especially the desk attendant at the desk in the evening, he exhibited great customer service and was very friendly. The bed was comfortable as well.
Cons: The bathroom in side our room smelled like that a a gas station. It emitted an odor even after cleaned.

Cons: I was give a handicap room but my reservation confirmation was a normal room
Cons: Would have liked complimentary breakfast.
Pros: Comfortable, convenient, friendly
Cons: There are many plugs available but no USB availability. They say they are upgrading and some rooms may be updated but ours wasn't.
Pros: Location is good.
Cons: You need to be a member to get free wifi. Yeah in 2016 this hotel does not give free wifi. Staff rushed our check in experience to get back to texting. The level of service at this location does not meet the standards that Hilton has set. Not worth the money. Buyer beware.
Pros: Bed was very comfortable
Cons: The facility is really old and not clean. Furniture shows wear and tear on them
The house keeping service is not very good. They don't clean well and they leave some I cleaned items like used glasses without exchanging them.
They also do late house keeping service and they don't have an on call housekeeper if you need some cleaning at night which all four stars hotels do
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: The room was dirty. The hotel desperately needs a refresh. My room felt more like a cheap roadside motel. It certainly was not worth what I paid for it. I do not feel like I got the best for my money.

Pros: Drove down from Chicago, almost made it to our destination in Tampa but decided to find a mid-range priced hotel to stay. Found Sleep Inn and could not have been more satisfied with the stay. Check in took about a minute and we were upstairs in our room. The parking lot was well lit as we had our locked bicycles on the back and the room was spacious and comfy. Bathroom was clean and shower had good water pressure. Free breakfast was also a huge plus.
Cons: There was nothing not to like. We enjoyed our overnight stay and would look to stay again on our next drive to Florida.
Pros: Walkin shower was nice.
Pros: The lighting was terrible in the room but the bed and pillows were great. The room overlooked the parking lot and was a bit noisy. The breakfast was ok. It was a little pricy considering.

Pros: Location, room size, front desk staff and friendly housekeepers but the room wasn't well cleaned.
Cons: The kitchen staff needs better guidance. If the breakfast finished at 9:00 but a guest still doing a waffle is extremely rude to take the syrups of the buffet. Just inform the guest the breakfast is finished and ask him if he would like something more!
Pros: Staff was friendly and suite was clean and comfortable
Cons: Seemed a bit worn
Pros: The staff was nice but the room was filthy
Cons: The bed as I arrived really tired had a lot of hair on top of the comforter and the toilet was clogged
Cons: Not necessary to talk bad about Marriott rewards when trying to get me to sign up for HHonors :) Glad to be part of both...
Pros: This was my first stay at Homewood Suites. I will definitely stay here again. It was excellent....and I am very picky about hotels.
Pros: The hotel exceeded my expectations. Right of 75, walking distance to restaurants. A room with a full kitchen and they had a lovely afternoon buffet with complimentary beer and wine. I was very happy.
Adequate, but a little disappointing for the price.
Cons: No coffee pot with coffee maker. Clerk answered my question before I asked it - and it was the answer to the wrong question. I would have liked a door closing off the bathroom sink.
One of the best hotel experiences
Pros: Meals, wine and suite layout
Cons: warm halways & high pet fee

Pros: Location was right off the interstate, hotel was clean, room was nice.
Cons: Pillows were uncomfortable, and breakfast could have been better, $100. Incidentals charge held on credit card for too long.
Pros: The hotel was close to family; the staff was friendly.
Cons: The bedding was not very comfortable. It wasn't soft; there was no extra blanket in the room. The following night I was at another hotel and the difference was noticeable.
Pros: The restaurant Gators Den
Pros: Clean, quiet spacious room.
Cons: It's been over a week, and I still have not been refunded my $100 deposit for "incidentals!"
Pros: The staff was courteous. The Breakfast was done very nicely.
Cons: The hallway carpet needed a good cleaning or replacement.

Pros: It all kind of runs together... see, I was on the road for two weeks and stayed at like 10 hotels in a row, and a lot of them were Holiday Inn's. That's sort of a good thing because I learned that IHG offers a consistent product, where other brands vary greatly from hotel to hotel.
We had planned to stay here and go to some bars in the area, but the time difference made us arrive as last call was hitting. I think we just hit the hay and woke up the next day to continue on our way. Not even sure if we got to have the free breakfast.
The fact that I can't remember much in specific is a positive, because apparently I had nothing to super complain about.
Cons: When I made my reservation I asked for a double room. When I checked in all they had was a smoking room. I had no choice but to stay since I paid online. I wouldn't have maid my reservation if that's all the rooms they had. Other than that the hotel was ok.

Pros: Rooms was very clean !nd the floor was great to walk on.
Cons: Everything was good
Cons: 1st room the heat didn't work, shower still had soap bubbles on walls, and hair in it. Beds had hair under covers. Changed rooms; heat worked, but this room too had hair on shower walls. Beds were worn out and lumpy, as we're the pillows. Will never use a red roof again
Pros: Pet friendly, comfortable beds and good location.
Cons: The first room we were put in smelled strongly of chemicals, so we switched. The second was musty and damp.
Pros: Room modernized and looked new. Near lots of food and shopping.
Cons: Hotel is in a very busy area. Mattress not bad but could be more comfortable.
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly. Everything was clean!
Cons: There was an occasional dog bark. Never at night though.
Pros: Clean, easy to get to, walking distance from restaurants
Pros: Hotel was clean and quiet.
Cons: Lack of breakfast is a definite downside. Coffee was not always available (ran out). A brown bag breakfast, fruit, yogurt, ... would be adequate.
Pros: The upgrade of the new Plus motels is quite nice, compabable to other better motels.
Cons: The complete lack of any food for breakfast is a serious downside, especially when travelling with family. Altough the motel itself is very nice, those comparable motels with food would trump it.
Pros: Good value. Rooms were clearly upgraded and clean.

Cons: Very old inside rooms, cracks in ceiling, water didn't drain out of tub. Entire bathroom needs to be renovated.
Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: This was not the star ranking this hotel deserved. There is NO way this is a 3-star hotel! I paid, including tax, over $--?! The room looked like something out of the early 1980s (may, with benefit of doubt, mid-1980s! I demand some type of discount.
Pros: Good for where we needed to be
Cons: Had a cold shower in the morning but may have been to do with settings...had hot water from spigot but not shower head.
Pros: Clean rooms
Cons: Very pricey
Pros: Location and that the beds and pillows wer very comfortable !
Cons: Breakfast ended at 9 o'clock. A little early for us, who were on vacation!
Pros: Very clean, solid staff.
Pros: The decoration was nice. The bed was comfortable. The coffee maker was nice.
Cons: There was a bad smell,in the bathroom. The airconditioner was so load we couldn't sleep we had to turn it off. Even though it was on the TV menu FOX News was blocked.
Cons: not keep up to date, very run down
Pros: Proximity to Shands Hospital
Cons: Room was very dirty. TV was broken. Bathroom and shower were disgusting. Shower had black flakes all inside the tub. The room and hallways smelled horrible.
Pros: the breakfast hostess made our day. So kind and very genuine with people.
Cons: You have to find it amongst all the construction.

Pros: Overall our stay was very pleasant, room was clean and presentable, Staff was excellent! Don't let the older style of the building deceive you, I would stay for business or pleasure in the future for sure! Also, very close and convenient to restaurants.
Cons: The only downside is the area closest to hotel is run down, but out of the control of the hotel I'm sure.
Pros: Staff was friendly and efficient.
Cons: Terribly misleading photo - this is a motel where you park directly in front of your room. VERY loud, hard to sleep when people and cars are constantly going by right outside your room. I would have never booked had I realized place was a motel as I'm a single woman traveling.
Pros: They modernized an old property and asked full market rates
Cons: Separate knobs for hot and cold water for shower make it near impossible to regulate and taking a shower was tortuous not enjoyable. Friendly staff and the beds were good
Pros: I was extremely pleased on both the cleanliness and location. You couldnt beat it for the price. I would have paid more.
Cons: Everything was great
Pros: The hotel lobby looked to be newly renovated and the breakfast in the morning was good. The location was good as there are alot of restaurants very close,
Cons: Our bathroom was not clean upon arrival which set a bad tone for the rest of the stay, but the lady at the front desk did apologize and take a few bucks off the tab, which was good. The room looked cheap but for the money, it worked for a overnight stay.
Cons: Many small children running around and in the pool. The staff was yelling profanities at eachother and the walls were extremely thin, you hear everything!
Pros: Look good
Cons: Very clean & professional
Pros: Room size comfortlv of b bed cleanliness
Cons: Noinifridge or mocrowave was mpt told about breakfasy
Pros: Everything was fine. This hotel is a good value.
Cons: This hotel was totally fine for the money, but I believe it was rated as 3-stars when I booked it on Kayak. It is NOT a three-star hotel. It is a budget hotel.
