Pros: The staff are amazing. (that's generally how people in Spain are -- warm, friendly and helpful). The location is very central, located on the edge of the historic Albaisin area. It's not in the crowded city center, yet not too far from most of the sites. It's located in a narrow street, so the taxi can't go right up to the door but you will get dropped off in an adjacent street, from where it is a 1 minute walk, even with bags and luggage. We were victims of an unfortunate incident when our purse got stolen with money and important documents. While everyone at the hotel was extremely considerate and did their best to alleviate our situation, in particular Gabriel (who spoke excellent English) was incredibly helpful. He spent an hour trying to get our train tickets changed as we had to return to Madrid earlier than planned. Despite problems with the online reservation, he was extremely patient and stayed with us throughout the process of navigating the Spanish language website. Our (second) room was really charming and well appointed with comfortable pillows and a lovely modern bathroom. The breakfast was sumptuous and more like a brunch. In addition, the hotel offered complimentary coffee, tea, water and soft drinks with extremely tasty nibbles during tea time. Finally, thanks for the bottle of champagne to celebrate my birthday!

Cons: Choose another hotel. There are many good options in the same area. This hotel looks really nice on the photos and location. The rooms are bad isolated, especially the rooms that have the windows on the inside towards the patio where the breakfast and common area are. No sleep without ear plugs since this is where people enter and leave and your hear the sound of the luggage wheels on the stone floor... The sound go straight into the room and the people can easily look straight into your room! There are some window covers but if you close them you have a room without windows. Staff not open for complains at all. It is not possible to park close to the hotel. Do not bring the car.

Cons: Nothing really that can be faulted. The first room we were given was small and had a rather uninspiring room, but as soon as they could, the charming front desk staff moved us to another room that was superb. We had booked the Superior Room, which was adequate, but in hindsight we should have opted for the (more expensive) junior suite. Just a word of caution -- be extremely careful about pickpockets on the streets, especially in crowds. The wife's purse, which was inside a handbag slung on her shoulder, was stolen with such extreme finesse that it can almost be described as an art form.

Cons: Our room was facing the inner couryard and it was hard to get light into the room without compromising our privacy. We requested a room with a view but we were told it would cost more. For the price we paid we should of had a room with a nice view. This hotel is a little overpriced.

Cons: Poorly lit access to hotel at night. Need to say on website that you cannot park but this is not the hotels fault - just a matter of fact due to the nature of the area but best to be forewarned.

Cons: It was very difficult to find. It was not explained to us on the website that the hotel is situated the old town where cars are not permitted. We got were driving around for about an hour with sat nav trying to find this place! Also, whilst the rooms were very nice and clean, the noise was terrible. Everything echo's through the courtyard.

Cons: Just that smoking was allowed in the foyer. We had a wonderful room with gorgeous, big windows that I wanted to open up, but it seemed that often there were guests smoking there and it drifted into our room, which was kind-of a bummer.

Pros: We had a beautiful room overlooking the central courtyard. It is such a lovely old building to stay in. The location is very central.
Cons: All during our stay the central courtyard was covered with a sunshade even though it was late Autumn and it was difficult to tell what sort of day it was outside, it also made our room quite dark. The morning we left they pulled it back, it made such a difference. Also there were no lifts to our room, we had to carry our heavy international suitcases up (and down) 27 steps.

Pros: The location was perfect - in the Albaicin area - close to restaurants and shops - great street atmosphere. The rooms are lovely and the public areas cooling and calm - the hotel felt like a step back in time. Victor was very pleasant and happy to give helpful advice on restaurants. Cons: They said they could arrange a visit with guide to the Alhambra but didn’t come through and neglected to tell us that they hadn’t, we had to scramble for last minute returned tickets to be able to go, which was the purpose of our visit to Granada.

Pros: Although the hotel was only a stones throw from the bustling Plaza Nueva, we could hardly hear a pin drop from our ground floor room. The hotel itself, is beautifully presented, clean, with an informal atmosphere. I've already recommended the place to my family! The staff were focused and efficient all of whom speak good English. The hotel is perfectly located at the foot of the Albaycin quarter, 50 metres from Plaza Nueva and only a few further metres walk to the nearest bus stop to catch the bus up to the Alhambra. I've mentally book-marked Placio Santa Innes for my return trip to Granada!

Pros: Although the hotel was only a stones throw from the bustling Plaza Nueva, we could hardly hear a pin drop from our ground floor room. The hotel itself, is beautifully presented, clean, with an informal atmosphere. I've already recommended the place to my family! The staff were focused and efficient all of whom speak good English. The hotel is perfectly located at the foot of the Albaycin quarter, 50 metres from Plaza Nueva and only a few further metres walk to the nearest bus stop to catch the bus up to the Alhambra. I've mentally book-marked Placio Santa Innes for my return trip to Granada!
Cons: We discovered that there was one small bar that only opened up after midnight directly around the corner from the hotel entrance that sounded like patrons were allowed to stand outside and talk loudly (like only the spanish do), which from our point of view was a bit annoying when lying in bed trying to sleep at the end of an exhausting day. This wasn't every night, but nonetheless.

Cons: Prior web reviews indicate free coffee. This is only true in the afternoon. In the morning when you need it they will charge you 2 euros for a cup. Our room was hot despite turning off the radiators and if you open the windows you will get lots of noise and cigarette smoke up from the internal courtyard where smoking is allowed and where the night clerk appears to smoke all night. Beds are pretty darned hard. If they stopped allowing smoking in the courtyard, I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Cons: The staff or the hotel managemnet must spell out the process of how one the parking voucher is refunded? 18.50 euors for 24 hrs is to be refunded when one collects ones car but our experience was that we paid the full amount for 24 hr plus 9 hrs in one go and then found out that we had to go first to the cashier of the aprking company to get the refund and then pay the remainder of the parking charges. Otherwise, the parking voucher will not be refunded ( in our case) by the parking compnay. It is fair to say that when contated the hotel they were willing to refund after sending off the voucher and actual invoice to them by the post in order to refund 24 parking voucher.

Cons: The beds were on the hard side, but this was rectified by placing blankets on top of the mattress, thus ensuring a fitful sleep. The hotel staff were most helpful in this respect.

Cons: No access by car possible as it it located in a UNESCO world heritage area. Nearby parking at discount rates is however arranged. It is advisable to check the locations of both the hotel and parking before travelling. A neighbouring house is being redeveloped. Completion is expected in March 2008. As summers are hot work starts at 08:00 AM. No problem in case you are an early bird.
