Location within walking distance to the Alhambra Palace was excellent
The proximity to the Alhambra was excellent. Quiet location. Very convenient for regular bus service to the city.
Comfortable hotel, offering good value for money, just across the road from the ticket office of the Alhambra.
Closenes to AlHambra NA
Good position, well run
superb location overlooking alhambra. city bus tour stops just across the road. bathroom not well equipped for 4 star hotel. when dining in hotel restaurant, unable to order wine by the glass. when dining in barbecue area, able to order wine by the glass but unable to order coffee.
staff very helpful and location next to alhambra bathrooms too small and showers too small
Opposite of Alhambra entrance. Diner was OK, but a bit like the Dutch "Van der Valk".
The location is superb, Alhambra is at the corner, the center is also in short distance (15 minutes walking or 5 minutes bus). The hotel is very well organized, staff is very well trained, everything is working smootly and effeciently. Considering the price category no complain can be made.
Proximity to Alhambra was brilliant!! Just a 5 minute walk away Rooms are slightly on the small side, but still very comfortable and good value for money
Friendly, Professional, Accommodating, Luxurious Nothing
the location,breakfast......"our staying one night only"
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very accomodating. The views of Granda from the hotel are stunning and it is a 5 minute walk down the hillside from the Alhambra. A very special place.
Panoramic views of Granada, great breakfasts, friendly helpful staff, car parking available, moorish decor and proximity to Alhambra Palace Slightly tempermental plumbing and carper and decor a bit 'tired'
Excellent location. Good value for money. Everything was very good.
restraunt could be better
We had an amazing view over Granada and La Sierra Nevada. The bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable. I didn´t like the fact that when we tried to check in at 15.15 on the day of our stay, our room wasn´t ready which I was not very pleased about. The answer from the Receptionist who was very rude, was that if we didn´t want to wait for our double bed with the fantastic views we could have a room with two beds and without a view!
The biew No swiming pool
Fantastic to visit the Alhambra and then feel as though we were staying in a beautiful up to date version of it at the Alhambra Palace Hotel.
Beautiful hotel and view of the city. Priced for location. Priced for location. Staff was not helpful or friendly.
Comfort and proximity of Alhambra
Average, dont bother, our suffering should be enough! Nothing
Although the hotel was only a stones throw from the bustling Plaza Nueva, we could hardly hear a pin drop from our ground floor room. The hotel itself, is beautifully presented, clean, with an informal atmosphere. I've already recommended the place to my family! The staff were focused and efficient all of whom speak good English. The hotel is perfectly located at the foot of the Albaycin quarter, 50 metres from Plaza Nueva and only a few further metres walk to the nearest bus stop to catch the bus up to the Alhambra. I've mentally book-marked Placio Santa Innes for my return trip to Granada! We discovered that there was one small bar that only opened up after midnight directly around the corner from the hotel entrance that sounded like patrons were allowed to stand outside and talk loudly (like only the spanish do), which from our point of view was a bit annoying when lying in bed trying to sleep at the end of an exhausting day. This wasn't every night, but nonetheless.
Location of the hotel was great and the staff was excellent. I would definitely stay there again. None
proximity to Alhambra / reasonable
The position of the hotel was excellent, the decoration and ambience of the interior perfect and just what we expected.
Well-located (heart of the Albaicin), historic and charming converted palacio. Lovely courtyards. Our room had a great view of the Alhambra. Decor was fairly upscale but authentic and not overdone. Staff was indifferent at best. Breakfast could be a haphazard affair, with tables unset and the buffet incompletely stocked well after stated breakfast hours. No in-room wireless; just in the main lobby.
Friendly, helpful staff and excellent position
Really convenient for visiting Alhambra and shops. Good access to restaurants. Hotel was quiet, clean, nice building. The family room consisted of one double bed and one sofa bed in duplex upstairs for the kids which apparently was limit on comfort.
good location and staff were helpful. Hotel was good quality and in good condition. Breakfast was also very good.
Good location. Spacious rooms. Good choice of breakfast,as much tea and coffee as you would like. Felt the staff were not very interesting seemed to have a get together in the bar/for staff room just off the hall, every morning at 9am when the cleaners came in. Beware if requesting tickets for The Alhambra, emailed before we arrived but no tickets when we got there!!!!!!!
The charm of the building was amazing as being a restauration from an old maur house dating from the invasion. Poor staff services overpriced extra night stay.
It's a brand new hotel where tradition and authencity meet modern facilities. An absolutely perfect location with a view towards Alhambra. The inner courtyard renders a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was very helpful.
We reserved a suite with a view of the Torre Vela (Watch Tower) of the Alhambra. Room 202 did not disappoint! It was a huge room with two small balconies overlooking the pedestrian street and Darro River below with views of the Alhambra up on the hill. Seeing the Alhambra lit up at night was magical. The suite was well appointed with a comfortable seating area and large bathroom area, but the highlight of the room was the beautiful vaulted Mudejar wood ceiling. The hotel is in an ideal location near Plaza Nueva to explore all of the historical sights on foot and easy to get to the Albayzin by bus if you don't feel like walking up the steep hills. Fabulous! The location on the pedestrian street was very convenient, but there was some street noise all night long. It's a trade-off for hearing the Darro River rushing along and having a view of the Alhambra from your balconies.
Everything... the price was so reasonable, the lovely old building with its inner courtyard, the modern clean rooms with air conditioning, lovely towels and all the bathroom amenities you could need, the very friendly English speaking receptionist, the tea and coffee making facilities in the courtyard, and the location was tops... on the River Darro just below the Alhambra, on the edge of the Albacin, walking distance to everything... we walked there from the railway station [25mins], and then walked all around the Albacin, up to the Alhambra and you're just a few minutes walk from the Plaza Nuevo where there are plenty of eating places.
The location and the building are great The bed was a bit too firm and the staff we very new - the hotel has just opened.
Good location, good staff, they try. If you need air conditioning in southern Spain in the summer do not use this hotel. Although they tried to make it better, a room with no AC in July is just not acceptable. They say it goes out from time to time. When we were there it was out. P.S. If you don't smoke, you will not like this hotel, it reeks of cigarette smoke, uck!
Nice clean, comfortable hotel with helpful staff. It was very well placed being next to the entrance to the Alhambra rather than in the town but there is a bus stop right outside taking you into the centre. The bar serves snacks through the day and you can have main meals in the restaurant, we had the breakfast which was very nice and good value for money. Free internet access was a bonus. The hotel could do with a little refurbishment, nothing drastic it is just starting to show signs of age.
Excellent location for the Alhambra!
The room was large and well furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast had a good range of food. The lights to illuminate the hotel were on all night( I think). The shutters kept out most of it but it is a waste of energy.
Location was great!! Could be noisy. Also, the parking amenity listed is a public lot for the Alhambra.
Great value for money
For visiting the Alhambra the Guadalupe was in an excellent location. The beds and pillows were quite hard. The hotel was undergoing fairly extensive renovation, which hopefully will include the beds.
the room and the view to Sierra Nevada and Alhambra
The location, just in front of the Alhambra. When we arrived the room was very cold, it took a couple of hours to get to a nice temperature.
Peking at the Alhambra was simple and easy off the highway. My room overlooked the Alhambra , it was clean comfortable, quiet and 10 minutes to the town walking. Buses are available , all personnel courteous and helped my poor Spanish speaking ability with wonderful English ... Not a thing
The friendliness of the staff especially Jessica and the situation of the hotel opposite the Alhambra Nothing
the sense of living in one of the premier and most beautiful cultural and historical sites in the world
One of the best experiences of our lives, a diamond in the rough of the Spanish hillside, unreal in its beauty and charming in its alignment of both the history and culture of the Spanish soul! Our stay was too brief!
The location can't be beat. The room was comfortable. Staff at check out was surprisingly unprofessional.
This hotel is locatedin the heart of Alhambra and it has very beautiful view from the windows.
The location was great, and so were the room and amenities. The Hotel staff seemed to be disinterested and not very customer centric.
The location of the hotel within the Alhambra was superb and the hotel's gardens & courtyards were wonderfully tranquil & relaxing.
Oustanding location and building. Excellent food and service at Dinner. Staff could have been more helpful and proactive at lunch. The menu was very limited but Spanish guests were offered 'tapas' when our choice was limited to 2 sandwiches! Our suite was small, had no balcony and had no window in the lounge. Our bill for 2 nights was a little excessive at more than 1800 Euros.
The best things was a breakfast buffet, varieties of meals!
The atmosphere and location - it was very special to be inside the Alhambra, especially late at night. Eye watering prices; services not up to International Hotel standard (no or limited room service, restauarant/cafe closing early).
The location within the Alhambra is superb, and the hotel buildings are a very successful combination of the old with the new. The staff are both friendly and very professional.
visiting alhambra and the city of granada would be nice to have a view but didn't want to overlook noisy street
We both enjoyed the hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, room and linen clean and decent continental breakfast.Good central location. Difficult to find, but ok once found. would have been a problem trying to find by car.
Fantastic location; right at the heart of Granada. So calm and tranquil as soon as you step off the street. Great breakfasts too. Room was uncomfortably warm at night.
The hotel had a wonderful ambience and was a delighful mix of old and contemporary style. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were no parking facilities which is fair enough in this area, but they also didn't apear to have an arrangement with any nearby garages as other hotels often do. We had to park a considerable distance away in an expensive car park.
The relaxed atmosphere, its beauty, its location
Central - great location.
The situation was fantastic - very central but not too crowded/noisy and on the flat (no carrying bags up steps or steep slopes) Breakfast started a little late for people who wanted to spend day up in the fantastic Alhambra
Friendly service Difficulty in parking before we were told of parking facilities nearby
Beautiful location. Well-sized rooms. Nice staff. Unpleasent smell from the bathrooms
helpfulness of staff and location
a lovely old building, nicely decorated with lots of character in an excellent location there was a bit of a smell from the drains, but I think this might be a general problem with old buildings in the area. The rooms we were in, just above reception, were not well sound proofed from each other or from the landing outside
Really nice internal courtyard (reception area). The hotel had a lovely historic feel to it. Great location.
Friendly staff. Great location. Efficient. Walls are thin--but then aagin, that's just about everywhere.
Nice little place converted into a hotel from a Casa. Good location with lots of character. Don't bother with the balcony to the Alhambra. Construction works going on next door, with trucks arriving at 5.00am (24.05.07) to load & unload building material & rubble until 7.00am. The Hotel Manageress had already made an official complaint (I made one too).
The location of the hotel was excellent, you could walk and see loads from this hotel base.
The staff were very conscientious and knowledgable about the Alhambra and its surroundings and the city of Granada more generally. The rooms are quiet and comfortable and not pretentious - and the view simply cannot be beat. The setting is a wonderful traditional house with gardens looking over the city gives you a full experience of the landscape . We would like to be back and stay here again. The only detail I can muster as an area for improvement is that the bathroom lighting was a bit bright and harsh.
Fantastic location- close to the Alhambra and to town. Beautifully designed, in a quiet and peaceful area of town.
The architecture of this very old moorish villa was stunning! The service was amazing! My son had broken his leg, and the front desk arranged everything, including a gourmet meal from a nearby restaurant in his room! They helped us with every detail of our stay!
View from the bathroom of the Alhambra. Very large and comfortable bed. Peaceful atmosphere Too quiet
Opposite the Alhambra and convenient to get there from the hotel. Atmospheric hotel evoking the atmosphere of old Spain.
Atmopheric hotel. Brilliant location. Our outside room on the first night had a fabulous view of the Alhambra and it was lovely to awaken to birdsong. Very helpful staff. Our second room for our last two nights (with an internal view) was spoilt by the sound of water regularly running through the pipes. The fixed hair-driers were not very powerful.
The location next to Alhambra was beautiful. The hotel was immaculate My room, one of the best, they said , was very small for two people and we had to climb slippery stairs to the bathroom, dangerous at night. No railing.
Location and friendly staff. Lack of public spaces to relax (patio was closed) and lack of internet connectability if you didn't have your own computer.
Peace and tranquility, quiet, central location, helpful staff
Great Location Near the Alhambra and good restaurants The staff were very helpful!!
A beautiful old building in a perfect location - as close to the Alhambra as you can get without staying at the Parador, and very quiet at night. The staff were extraordinarily helpful with some unexpected itinerary problems that came up during our visit.
convenient situation and pleasant staff. I would recommend the hotel to friends my room was too small
Very quaint, very charming, more like a highly interesting B&B. Don't let the one-star rating fool you--stars rate amenities and add-ons, not charm or quality of experience. Yet this little place has an amenity like no other, the fantastic Alhambra itself. A suggestion: stay in H. America two nights, ensuring the second night is a Friday or Saturday. Day one visit the Alhambra fairly early before the crowds show. That evening do the night visit (spectacular!). The next morning do another early visit just to absorb and ponder--it will be an immeasurable gift to yourself, and H. America's location makes it easily doable. (Remember that Alhambra reservations must be made in advance; night visits are Fri. & Sat. only.)
location was excellent and staff was friendly only one expensive place nearby for dinner
Beautifully quaint hotel right beside the Alhambra. Absolutely fantastic location and a great alternative to the vastly more expensive Parador. The hotel has a wonderful little courtyard dining area with an unbeatable authentically European ambiance.
Its location to the Alhambra.
This hotel is full of character, charm and greenery. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for the Alhambra. Stay here if you can! We liked it all- but this would not be a good choice for people with mobility issues (stairs) or the hyper-critical. It is an old building.
