Pros: wonderful staff and excellent service, good room service recipes, amazing manager at check in, absolutely incredible and wonderfully welcoming customer service
Cons: room was incredibly dated and due for a remodel years ago, minimal in furniture, old and worn mattress , sheets incredibly thin with very used and uncomfortable bedding, carpet is dusty from years and years of use, furniture was so old, minimal, totally uncomfortable, bathroom lighting incredibly poor, light fixtures giving off minimal light, lack of art or general in room FF&E comfort expected at a 5 star property
Pros: Luxurious hotel with superb location!
The staff are caring, friendly & very helpful with restaurant recommendations or any other needs!
Cons: The superior rooms are on the smaller side as compared to other luxury hotels in the same price range
Cons: Old fashion very loud poor AC system
Pros: Warm and friendly atmosphere
Cons: The windows in the room were frosted. No view, not even of the air shaft. The room was discounted and the advertisement said, 'Courtyard View', so expectations were low. But FROSTED WINDOWS at the PIERRE.....WTF. If I were the Pierre I would be embarrassed to sell that room. Save it as a spare, use it to comp. someone when you are sold out, but don't advertise it as a Courtyard View when rooms at Rikers' Island have a better view of a courtyard than cell block 412, at the Pierre. I cannot believe the Pierre needs my $500/night and would stoop to selling this room, which is so below their supposed standards. Get rid of the elevator escorts and you won't have to mislead people into an unsatisfying purchase. No more Taj, Pierre for this vacationer. The Essex House has worked fine in the past and will again in the future. HUGE disappointment.
Pros: The suite was beautiful and nicely appointed. Room was upgraded to suite due to my anniversary. They sent gratis champagne and cake which was waiting for us after dinner.
Cons: We were on 4th floor and room was next to heating/AC machines. So long as you didn't look out the window, it was lovely. (I recognize I didn't pay for park view but street view but did end up with the single worst view room in the place.)
Pros: Location, staff, security and quiet elegance. Beds were also extremely comfortable. Cleanliness of rooms was noticeably good. Hotel is very quiet at night. You will get a good night's sleep.
Cons: They need an easy coffee shop with coffee and breakfast breads/toast available on the go at a reasonable price. Coffee service in lobby should remain open longer.
Pros: Large and renovated bathroom
Cons: Bedroom small
Pros: I love Indian food and since the Pierre is a member of the Taj Group, they have several traditional Indian cuisine items on the menu, even for breakfast. Plus, their Indian food is delicious!
New York’s landmark hotel, located on Fifth Avenue overlooking Central Park for over 80 years, The Pierre, A Taj Hotel, New York continues to set the standard for elegance and unrivaled hospitality in New York City. Perfectly situated across the street from Central Park, the 41-story Pierre is steps away from the renowned shopping on Fifth and Madison Avenues, museums and cultural centers, and the businesses of Midtown Manhattan.
Cons: Complimentary coffee in lobby bar ends at 8am - too early!
Pros: The Edition has become my favorite hotel in NYC. It's modern and clean without being trendy. It's luxury without being pretentious. The service was first class. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. Even at $500-$600 a night it's a value. The restaurants and bars were fantastic. I think being across from Madison Park adds something unique. I highly recommend the Edition.
Cons: Didn't love the elevator set up.
Centrally located on 24th Street and Madison Avenue, The New York EDITION sits directly across from New York’s iconic Madison Square Park. Originally built in 1909 as the headquarters for The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, the historic 41-story clock tower is an iconic New York landmark. The New York EDITION features 273 guest rooms and suites with spectacular views of the city. The hotel offers approximately 2,100 square feet of versatile meeting and event space, an intimate lobby bar; and a 1,650 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center & spa located on the 39th floor.
Pros: Very clean. Pretty decor. Friendly staff. Willing to meet needs when asked.
Pros: Great location. Fantastic bed.
Cons: restaurant/café staff not very effective, engaging or helpful. however the remainder of the employees at the hotel were excellent.
Loews Regency New York Hotel has defined Park Avenue hospitality since the moment it opened its doors in 1963. Today—five decades and a recent $100-million dollar renovation later—Loews Regency New York Hotel is still setting standards in sophistication.
Pros: Gorgeous Hudson River/ Manhattan skyline view. The bar is nice and located in beautiful lobby
Pros: Excellent service
Great views of NYC
Location is perfect
Cons: PArking fee is too much.
Pros: Location was great. It was nice to be able to get out of the city and away from the holiday crowds. Nice views of the city skyline.
Cons: Not much night life close to the hotel. Most restaurants close to the hotel were closed on the weekend.
Pros: Very clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Beautiful views.
Cons: $32 a day parking and no free WiFi.
Enjoy spectacular views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline from your guest room. The Hyatt Regency Jersey City is a quick PATH Train or ferry ride to Manhattan's financial district and mid-town. The hotel is located on the Harborside Financial Center's South pier in the heart of Wall Street West.
Pros: The upper east side hotel is steps away from coffee shops and boutiques, restaurants are a 20 minute walk away or 5 minutes in a cab. The standard is high, rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are friendly, helpful and have exceptional manners compared to other hotels that I've stayed in. The best thing about this hotel was the European influence.
Cons: I didn't like that a simple standard coffee cost $6, which really should've been free in the morning given the price (albeit worth it) of the hotel stay. Two cocktails should not have cost $46, especially when prosecco was used instead of champagne.
Pros: The property is vintage upper East Side in design and service. The property appeared to be maintained extremely well and the staff was always attentive. The rooms were immaculate and very well maintained. The location is walking distance from both upper East side boutiques and restaurants as well as from midtown shopping, museums and people watching. Subway access is also very convenient. I would recommended this hotel to anyone looking for an old world luxury experience in the heart of vintage New York. I would also return without hesitation.
Cons: No complains on this visit
Pros: Everyone was extremely helpful and the rooms were large and clean. The hotel is located on a side street, close to shopping but quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: The prices in the hotel restaurant were extremely high. A cup of coffee was $10 and yogurt with granola and berries was $27. It was very good but this wasn't room service but actually in the restaurant.
Beautifully situated on a treelined street amid historic townhouses, this hotel is 1 block from Central Park and Fifth Avenue, a half-block from Madison Avenue designer shops, and less than 1 mile from theaters.
Cons: Room location: too noisy; not conducive to getting appropriate rest during a business trip.
Front desk: did not accommodate our request upon arrival. We were moved to a room 2 floors higher, same room location, same noise level.
Pros: The staff were very professional, and helpful. The hotel is nice to bring our dog to, the staff went out of their way to cater to him. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Cons: There was a very noisy club next door that made it difficult to sleep. Also I thought that for the price we paid the hotel could have offered free WiFi in the rooms.
Cons: On Sunday nites, club next door is so loud well into the nite making it virtually impossible to sleep.
All light fixtures lack dimmers and all contain very high wattage cold fluorescent bulbs Lighting in room is horrible.
Hvac is not well regulated. Room would get very cold and the only option is too turn off and wait for it to get unbearably hot
Located in Manhattan's vibrant Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, Kimpton Ink48 Hotel is a quarter-mile from the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum; a half-mile from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal; and near the Javits Center and Times Square.
Pros: The family really enjoyed our stay at the Westin Hotel in Jersey City. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was clean, comfortable and up to date. I have no complaints. The location was great if you want to go sight-seeing in New York. You are close enough to get to the city in no time (I recommend the subway (Path) with ease and have a location that is away from the hustle and bustle if that is what you prefer and Jersey City is extremely clean and people friendly. I can't recommend it enough!!!!
Pros: Views, staff, quality of the rooms and hotel
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: 50 dollars for Below average scrabled eggs, potatoes, oatmeal for two... I was not impressed with the price or quality of food.
Pros: The staff were extremely courteous, helpful and accommodating. At check-in, Debbie was wonderful, great sense of humor, and very professional. She upgraded our room and gave us a beautiful view of the Manhattan. The young man at the door was wonderful as well. He was kind and courteous. The beds were very comfortable and clean.
Cons: We didn't like that there was a charge for wi-fi. We normally stay in hotels where the wi-fi is free. On the positive side, since we didn't use it for the 24 hours that we paid for, my credit card was credited and we were only charged half of the fee for wi-fi. Wasn't too thrilled about paying $3.00 for a coke from the little store either.
Cons: Great stay. Ideal for venturing into NYC great location.
Pros: A great place to stay for a NYC weekend. Quieter than Manhattan, beautiful skyline view and very close to the PATH train. The staff is very friendly and the room was clean. Will stay there again.
Pros: Nice, clean hotel. Friendly staff.

Pros: Stayed on a Saturday evening for a birthday celebration with friends. Everything was perfect! The rooms were clean and stylish and the bed was so comfortable we joked that if there was no checkout we would have slept till 3pm. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Would totally stay again!
Pros: We were in town for NYE. The 3 of us fit snug, but the location was perfect!!! The bathroom in the room was nice. The staff was very friendly. It's an older hotel, but we were never in the room but to sleep. Like I said, perfect for us! They even gave us a roll away bed whem we needed a solution.
Cons: Kayak offered me room preferences, like 1 or 2 beds. We had 3 people with us so I needed 2 beds. I wasn't notified we didn't get the 2 beds until we checked in!
Pros: I didn't get to stay there because I was booked in for the night before I wanted to stay and I wasn't allowed cancel it.
Your service is awful and I would like my money back.
I arrived in NYC last night to no Accomodation.
110 Years In The Remaking. The striking Beaux-Arts structure that is HGU New York has welcomed countless guests since 1905. Ornate plaster ceilings tell of legendary parties and infamous patrons of old, while 89 rooms and suites boast of luxury and modern convenience. Restful sleep is paired perfectly with an intoxicating art collection throughout the rooms, corridors, and living spaces; each corner a destination of possible repose or reverie. Derived from the style stuff coveted by the leisure and business set, HGU New York awakens all senses and consistently impresses. This is not midtown; this is NoMad.
Cons: They charge extra 25$ per day for "facilities". We had a broken lamp, aircondition that could not be set to lower temperature and problems connecting to the internet.
The room was generally clean, but few things were not cleanned while we were there.
Cons: Hidden fees. Not disclosed until checkout
Pros: I've stayed in so many NY hotels over the years and this one was very good, great room sizes for a Manhattan hotel, good room decor and excellent and quiet air con (good when 35c outside)! Desk to work at and plenty of plug sockets to charge gadets etc. Great location 5 mins walk to Abrrcrombie and Lower 5th Avenue, good Irish bar next door, diner opposite and coffee shops close by. Easy to get taxis outside too. Friendly and efficient front desk staff
Cons: Breakfast not included in my rate
Pros: The staff was very nice. Several people went out of their way to be friendly and helpful.
Cons: Having to pay everyday for wifi is ridiculousz
Pros: Location was great. It was close to central park, Times Square, museums, Empire State Building and convenient access to the subway to go to other areas. Staff was friendly and pretty helpful when asked questions.
Pros: Great location and staff very pleasant
Cons: Computer labs were out dated and charged for Internet and print use by the minute.
Pros: 2 blocks to Central Park and centrally located to so many great spots. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. 2 restaurants and a great business bar located within the hotel.
Recommend room 2222 (king bed w/ view of Central Park and small outdoor area).
Traveled for business but looking forward to bringing my family back.
Cons: In room dining is super expensive but is was very good. Wifi is additional.
Pros: Very friendly staff
Pros: Great staff, quiet, convenient, elegant, beautiful. I'm a repeat customer and shall remain so. Any problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Ready smiles from all you meet. Best location for my NYC visits.
Pros: Room was comfortable and clean. Quite as well.
Cons: Doorman put me in a cab going uptown when I asked to go to pabt. He should have put me in can on 6th avenue. Took 20 minutes instead of 5 and cost me 10 extra dollars.
Built by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst in 1926, this Midtown hotel is across from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), 2 blocks from Broadway theaters, and 4 blocks from Rockefeller Center.
Pros: Basic Courtyard- clean, large enough room by NY standards, great location
Cons: Old single pane windows allowed in even more noise than I am used to in NYC. Courtyards are also my last choice among Marriott brands since they essentially provide nothing for anyone with Marriott Rewards status, unlike all the other Marriott brands.
Pros: Location/ lounge/ service

Pros: Modern classy rooms all first class. Best location in NYC. Amazing shower.
Cons: Not much of a hotel lobby if you need a grand hotel lobby.
Pros: The service, staff, location and beds!
Cons: Where he AC vents are located and that's right above the bar.
The boutiques and hip restaurants of Madison Avenue are just steps from The Surrey, which places guests on Manhattan's vibrant Upper East Side. Both Central Park and the Whitney Museum of American Art are within 1 block of the hotel. 77 St. Subway Station is 2 blocks away.
Pros: Everyrhubg was great above average on all things.. Great service and room service food was beyond great..
Cons: One very rude women that was a clerk at the front desk about 3am in the morning needs to be fired. I don't want to give the hotel a bad review because of her. I asked about the shuttle and all were more than happy to call the bus driver. They said tell us when you are ready.. I walked outside and came back in and there was another clerk there. I said you can call the shuttle driver now please, I'm ready. She answered very ugly and rude sharp '' when I have time I will'' there were no customers at the desk. No reason that I should have been treated like that. I just thought to myself welcome to new jersey where all the rude selfish people in the world live and blew it off. But what needs to be realized is that people like this on staff there will cause this great hotel to lose customers.
Pros: Amazing location adjacent to terminals
Cons: Prices are similar to Midtown Manhattan
Pros: Hotel staff was nice, room was clean and not noisy.
Cons: Restaurant staff were terrible. Can't be described as nice which is in sharp contrast to the hotel staff
Pros: The rooms and staff were nice
Cons: The shuttle service was very poor. Understaffed shuttle service for people trying to make flights. If you are going to use mini-vans, you need to have more of them, or have bigger shuttles on stand-by.
Pros: They set up a pack and play and refrigerator. Huge win!
Cons: No bellman to bring our bags up. We had to push the luggage cart ourselves. The restaurant was initially rude when I asked to take food upstairs (to my husband and sleeping daughter). I was surprised that this was supposed to be "in" the airport but it still required a van to access. They will not direct you to a walking path. The van was included (nice) but the driver refused to go to the premier counter, leaving us to lugg baby and bags up multiple flights. Not as easy as for a solo business traveller
Pros: Great bed, nice room layout, very quiet and dark which was nice for sleeping. If you close the curtains you will not be able to tell you are essentially in an airport.
Cons: Restaurant was okay -- not bad, not great. A bit expensive for the quality.
Pros: Got in at midnight and still able to grab a quick bit in the restaurant/lounge! Staff was great and never made us feel rushed.
Pros: Lobby and restaurants remodeled.
You can walk to terminals but a shuttle is provided.
Best place you can stay when departing from EWR.
Pros: A shout-out to the Newark Airport Marriott for their excellent customer service. Having taken a red-eye and landing in Newark at 5:55 yesterday morning, we went straight to the Marriott, not necessarily to check in, but to have them be aware that we were there, because we knew we wouldn't be back to use it until around midnight. The night clerk decided just to check us in early, at 6:30 a.m. We never went to the room, but left for our day in NJ and NY (and Neal Gottlieb 's Survivor viewing party, which was attended by so many relatives and friends). When we returned to the Marriott just past midnight, we attempted to print our board passes for this morning. When that didn't work, the same night clerk offered to try during the night and have them for us in the morning. Great. We went to our assigned room, and when we opened the door, we saw it was a wreck. It had not been cleaned at all. So it was a trip back to our now favorite night clerk. After explaining the situation, a supervisor got involved. We received an apology, and an upgrade to an executive suite which included a full breakfast. Thank you, Marriott!
Pros: The bed was comfy and divine! Check out time was noon.
Cons: Service fell short. Shuttle took 40 minutes to arrive; I had to call twice. Massive plane delays brought me in at 3 a.m. and it was not fun waiting yet again. First room shown smelled to me of smoke; no problem about changing rooms. However, she said she would slip a new room key under the door while i could sleep (almost 4 a.m. by now) and she did not. It was easier to not leave the room when I woke (bc very tired) then to deal with trying to get a new key to my room when I would be checking out soon. I left hotel at 11:30ish a.m. without coffee but showered.
Pros: The place was very clean and nice, and very professional looking.
Cons: If you're not a posh business person, it isn't the best. We made the mistake of ordering Dominos to the room, and the hotel was obviously not very happy about "fast food" coming. First of all, they gave the delivery person a hard time and accused her of not really having customers here and being shady, before they finally called my room. Once I confirmed we had indeed ordered pizza, they wouldn't even let the delivery person come into the hotel, and I had to go outside to meet them.
Cons: Had to pay for computer access in business suite, no free TV channels…..everything was promotional.

Pros: It is conveniently located, the rooms were clean, the staff helpful, it is a 10 minute ferry ride to NYC, the view is spectacular, an awesome running path through Weehawken and Hoboken. I really enjoyed my stay and will consider staying here again when visiting "The City".
Cons: I have no complaints.
Pros: I love the service and location. We have stayed there many times and consistently they have never disappointed us.
Pros: Clean, great location, close proximity to the restaraunts and a boardwalk. Very comfortable stay.
Pros: The staff were all very helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and informed.
Pros: Location. Staff.room. Everything good. But breakfast is no free..well last week hotel book time my pakage is have a breakfast but staff say . Pay breakfast..
Cons: Paying for parking
Pros: Nice view of the Hudson/Manhattan

Cons: It is affordable and that's about it. Not much service.
Pros: Great place the only thing would like to see is better air freshening in the hallways -- predominantly Asian guests on extended stays who do a lot of cooking and the strong odor of the foods can be overwhelming in hallway and on elevators but not in rooms. This is why I give it a three for cleanliness for public spaces. Rooms are excellent quiet and modern with updated renovation in 2014.

Pros: I liked the fact the hotel was close to a Mall and provided a shuttle and had a swimming pool with breakfast included.
Cons: The shuttle was terrible - supposed to run every 15 minutes but what they don't tell you is that one of the shuttles is reserved for airline employees of United and American and essentially, there is a shuttle every 30 minutes that is not supposed to stop at the terminals but it does it anyway. One of the drivers was supposed to pick me up from the nearby Mall and decided not to because he was running late, so I ended up running late for my flight and had to change it. Be very careful with these shuttles - they are quite unreliable.

Cons: The hotel was overpriced for the general facilities on offer. Pay 30 dollars for a fridge when I'm paying x hundred a night? Kidding? No real dedicated space for guests to relax. Free wifi was not free as it was within service charge. This pricing policy really took facilities down to equivalent of a 2 star hotel or a B and B! Reception staff had an unhelpful attitude. This was on complete contrast to our stays in Boston and DC. Wholly unimpressed. it was almost like the abrasive attitude of Tines Square had pervaded the customer service.
Pros: Location it's excellent
Cons: Staff at restaurant was horrible. Un professional rude.
Pros: Location, Location, Location!
Pros: The most unfriendly staff I have encountered at a hotel
Pros: Service, location, beds, rooms were right size, showers.
Cons: Paid $275 for after show party in the restaurant All they had was 4-5 items of Chinese food and open bar. No menus for food nor drinks. Grumpy wait staff.
Pros: Great accommodating staff. Helpful concierge. So close to Times Square & all the theaters, so perfect for the 1st time visitor. Clean & comfortable. Beds are nice & cozy.
Cons: Pool is part of the gym inside the building, so it's only a lap pool. Not for lounging & definitely not for kids.
There is a sauna which would be nice in the winter.
Very busy hotel! Not a relaxing lobby or even many places to sit (only 4 chairs & some makeshift areas around the plants)!
No mini fridge in room.
Pros: It was in a perfect location in Times Square. A few blocks from the subway. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.
Cons: Needs some updating/maintenance. For the price you pay for location, seems they could upkeep better. All 3 drawers in our dresser didn't close properly, off track or something. Bathrooms could use some new caulk, gappy and dirty looking.
Pros: Location was good
Cons: They dont encourage people booking hotel from other web sites
They prefer it from there site and they help them only . I was staying in hotel for times square view
Not for other view
Overall worat experience
Pros: The location was good. Their concierge staff were nice . Check in was quick .we were givin compound of 2 free complimentary drinks from their bar but we did nit use it.wifi was included in the service fees but also I did not need to use it.
Cons: When I checked in the toilet was ful of hair & there was a nail on the toilet table .generally the housekeeping service is not good. I noticed that paper napkin was not refilled as if they are saying you have to use one box per stay
Pros: Great hotel if you're a tourist and want to be in Times Square - easy walking distance to many attractions and not too far can / uber ride to others. The rooms were nice and clean, the maids always bought us new soaps, razors, toothpaste, towels etc.
Cons: some of the staff are seriously awful.
My partner has a severe allergy to nuts, and we had issues with two waiters there who seemed preoccupied and had to ask a manager to go and confirm if there was nuts in a dish she wanted for dinner or not. The waiter made us feel awful and then progressively got ruder (getting in our faces, yelling, etc) after the manager had been involved.
We did get given a few free drinks and a box of chocolates from management (although she couldn't have the chocolates due to nuts)
But otherwise we had a lovely stay, only ruined by a few staff members who need to learn if you work in a service job it's part of your job to at least TRY and be polite and understanding!
Pros: My wife has a convention here once a year in January so I tag along. We had a stunning view of Broadway and Times Square from our corner room on the 45th floor (out of 46). Room was clean. Service is friendly and courteous. Bell Captain kept our bags for us after checkout so we could do a bit of sight-seeing until we had to go to the airport. When it was time to get our bags, he walked them down to the taxi stand for us and made sure we had a cab.
Cons: Wi-fi seemed a bit slow.

Pros: Very comfortable room.
Roof bar & restaurant on the 1st floor.
Great neighborhood for food and running along the Hudson.
Cons: The slow elevator.
Pros: The hotel was very clean and quite stylish in a sort of modern-retro way. The minibar was the best I've seen in a moderately-priced hotel, and the room was quiet, comfortable, and elegant. The location is in a rather quiet corner of Manhattan, close to the core of SOHO, NOHO, etc., without being right in the middle of all the activity.
Cons: When we first arrived we were told that our reservations were cancelled! The front desk staff were surprised to hear that I had not cancelled them, and calls had to be made before we were given a room. They apologized for the mistake, but the experience was alarming nevertheless. I recommend calling and confirming your reservation a day or two before arrival just to be sure you still have a room.
Located in SoHo - Tribeca, this luxury hotel is within 1 mi (2 km) of HERE, New York University, and One World Trade Center. Brooklyn Bridge and The National September 11 Memorial are also within 2 mi (3 km).
Pros: The staff was awesome. Very friendly and very helpful, even when they were super busy! We had to lock something up behind the desk, had to ask for directions, etc, during our 5-night stay, and they were always very friendly. Really like the location across the street from the bus stop into Times Square, and the hot breakfast!
Cons: More biscuits and gravy for breakfast, please!
Pros: Location is good. Bus stop is near hotel and Manhattan too (15 minutes). Children not pay for bus on weekend.
Cons: Breakfast: egg is like artificial.
Pros: One of the more affordable in comparison to the others nearby. Overall, a good option.
Cons: bathrooms were a bit outdated.
