Guy, Apr 2025 - ibis Madrid Calle Alcalá
Overall it was ok. The main issue was that in the hotel description is state: “air condition”. But there’s only heat option 24+ degrees… no cold.

Pros (+) If you need a place to stay close to the airport, it's in a convenient location, lots of food places around. Breakfast selection is good and it starts early enough that if you have an early flight you can grab breakfast and go. Shuttle service is free and if you have a car parking is very affordable.

Pros (+) Location - close to airport but still in a neighborhood with good restaurants, and shops, pharmacy etc within easy walking distance. Friendly helpful staff!
Cons (-) shuttle is 1st come, 1st serve so lined up at 545 for 6am shuttle there were 7 ahead of us and I asked if there would be room for all. They could not say until the driver told them how many guests had boarded at the other hotel the shuttle serves. We were departing from T4 which is 20-25 minutes away so took a taxi -glad we did -the cost was almost 20 euro but reduced the stress

Pros (+) Very easy to find the shuttle van. Shuttle was on time and fast. I was traveling through Madrid on my back to the states. I needed somewhere to sleep overnight before I caught next flight out in the morning. Very near the airport — quick and convenient. It is a basic hotel with nothing fancy — but I didn’t need anything fancy. They do allow smoking in this hotel, so make sure to ask for a non-smok...

Pros (+) The hotel was a typical airport hotel in that everyone was there for one night before catching a plane to their next destination (in my case, home). It was fine and the breakfast started about the same time as the first folks headed back to the airport. They do a good job getting people checked in and checked out. The shuttle to the airport is efficient.
Cons (-) It is a typical airport hotel catering to the one night stay folks on their way to someplace else. The noise ends at 1am with the last arrivals and starts at 3:30am with the first departures.

Naomi, Sept 2016 - ibis Madrid Aeropuerto Barajas
Pros (+) I checked in late to crash before catching an international flight home the next morning. Nice breakfast buffet under 10 EU. The shuttle to the airport runs every 30 min and got to the airport in about 10 minutes! There are restaurants and bars nearby, which is not always the case for airport hotels.

Pros (+) Very good for stay near the airport. Free shuttle. Walkable to a plaza with restaurants, so you aren't just stuck in the hotel. Hotel was pretty nice for the money.
Cons (-) Tricky for families with more than one child- they won't allow more than 3 in any room.

Pros (+) It was no-nonsense, which was perfect for a layover with an early morning flight out.
Cons (-) I didn't like that the airport shuttle was full, especially since there was no communication about reserving the shuttle, or needing to get in line early. I had to take a taxi to the airport.
