Liverpool Hotels near The Cavern

Location was very close to Cavern Club.

Check in was confusing, person at the counter acted as if it was her first hour on the job. Went to lounge for a drink, was hoping to hear beatles music... after all, we were staying at the Hard Days Night Hotel. They were playing beatles music, but it was so soft we could barely hear it (and not because there were so many people talking, there were only 4 people in the lounge). I asked them to turn it up, which they did ever so slightly. Still only soft background music. We were not looking for loud, just something we could hear without straining. Had yet another bad experience with concierge (Kevin). We had purchased tickets to the Cavern Club Beatles tribute band show through the hotel. Asked Kevin when we should plan to arrive for the 8 PM show to be sure we got seats (explaining that I had read on line that seating was limited and you had to arrive early to get seats even if you had purchased tickets). Kevin dismissed my concern, saying we just had to be there at 8 and handed us the tickets. When we got to the room I read the tickets, they also said that seating was limited and that a ticket didn't guarantee a seat. Decided to ignore Kevin's guidance and it was a good thing we did. We arrived at 7, people were already lined up. By the time the doors opened (7:45) the place was full of people lined up to get in. We got a seat, but had we listened to Kevin we would have been standing for the entire show, which ended just after midnight.

I have stayed here once before and absolutely loved it - but the second time was even better. Staff are helpful friendly and always ready with a smile. Check in and out completely hassle free, Beautiful rooms with excellent amenities. Fab

The Castle 62 staff were well turned and incredibly helpful from the minute we arrived and even after we check out, by looking after our bags so we could get in more shopping time! They helped me organise a surprise champagne bucket in the room, the restaurant was wonderful, and even though we went with the 'pre fixe' menu we were still superbly welcomed and served for every course. The food preparation/presentation was a wonderful asit tasted!

There were no bad points for this trip.

The location very close to Matthew Street and the nice bar within the hotel were plus points of this hotel

It has a very good position in the city centre. Very handy for seeing liverpool and close to the rail and bus stations.

On the Sunday night there was a bit of noise from outside in the small hours of the morning from people leaving clubs

Very friendly staff and welcome at reception. Lovely bedroom, nice decor, crisp, white cotton bedding, good size TV. Big shower, plenty of white fluffy towels. Very good room service menu. Very nice restaurant for breakfast with a good selection, table service and not buffet. Would highly recommend.

Housekeeping did not renew the toiletries in the room. The continental breakfast was on the mean side. Coffee, orange juice,cereal, 1slice of toast, 1 croissant & a slice of brioche on day one, no fruit or yoghurt. On day 2 we did not even receive the fruit juice, apparently, we should not have been given the juice the previous day. We were initially charged the full rack rate even though we had booked through Active Hotels, we were refunded the difference but only after we had pointed it out to them.On complaining about the sparse breakfast, the receptionist immediately refunded us.

it was very peaceful in the night we were on the top floor this may have helped, we had very comfortable nights sleep.

The hotel is very central for shopping and the night life , the cavern club is only 150 metres away . with the hotel situated down a side street with no pubs or clubs it is very quiet on a night.

The hotel was perfect for a city break.

Superb Location! Nice modern apartments

You have to give a deposit of £150 upon arrival which we had not been made aware of. We gave this in cash. When checking out a staff member had to check our apartment. She came down and told us that the towels were dirty and that we had been smoking in the apartment. We were not smoking in the apartment at any stage!. We were very frustrated and let down by this accusation as we had used the lovely smoking area which was 10 feet away from our apartment each time we wanted a cigarette. There had been cigarette ash left in the corner of the window sill which was not ours and must have been left there by the people previously staying there. It took 20 minutes to get the message across and we felt like we were being made a spectacle of because we were young. It seemed to us to be a way of making cash out of us. Eventually we were giving back £100 and £59 was kept to wash our towels! (Which had been provided for us ...

Great location, very well designed, lots of space in the living area and rooms were very cosy and they both had tvs in them. Close to all the shops...liverpool one shopping centre just on the door step. Taxi and buses just seconds away, cinema footsteps away. close to everything really. We really enjoyed or stay and would go bk again for def.

WiFi slow and problems connecting

Room was very comfortable and whole atmosphere of hotel very relaxed which is good when travelling alone for business. Small gym is very well equipped and food excellent. Complimentary mini-bar much appreciated. Nice also to get a decent hairdryer and excellent wi-fi connections.

Conveniently located for theatre break. Clean, well equiped, compact modern hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent shower. Good selection at breakfast although sausages/bacon looked a bit undercooked.

Although the shower was excellent the wc is separate from the ensuite and doesnt have a washhand basin and is less convenient than a traditional en-suite. Expensive bar prices.

The apartment was lovely. It was central to the shop, dock , nightlife and lime street train station.

The apartment was not what I thought it would be. There was only one bathroom suite between the 2 bedrooms so a long wait to use the shower etc between 4. There was a downstairs toilet though. I thought it would be all on one floor. Some of the fittings where loose.

Posh Pads certainly lives upto it's name. Fantastic apartment with luxury fittings.

When I received my confirmation of booking, it stated 2 x twin rooms. When making a phone call to the apartments the day before arrival, we were informed that our apartment would be 2 x double beds. This was upsetting, when I had spent several days on the internet trying to get twin rooms for us 4 girls.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. The staff were brilliant like always, the location is perfect for shopping and enjoy the nightlife and within easy acces of all the sites. Will definatetly stay here again on my next trip.

It took them a while to locate my booking on their system. They didn't have me on the booking.com booking list for that day. I couldn't get the safe in the room to work.

Great location, new modern business hotel

Management need to take responsibility for training staff properly. This needs to come from the top and filter down. Tea and coffee being slammed onto the breakfast table is not acceptable nor is a poorly trained bartender who knows nothing about the area he is working on. With a few adjustments things could run much slicker.

The whole experience was just great.

The only bad things I found there was the bed, wasn't comfortable at all
