The rooms were fantastic, minimalist decor, big wet room bathroom, huge and very comfortable king-size bed. View wasn't good (another building) but had the best sleep there I've had in ages! Food also excellent and great meeting room/function room on 5th floor with panoramic floor-to ceiling view of city. Would certainly recommend. Great service too.
Great location.Room had fantastic views over the city. Staff were very professional.
lack of privacy in the bathroom, maybe some frosted glassin the lower window panes!
quiet location and very friendly and helpful staff. nothing to do with hotel, but other guests banging doors late in the night!
Boutique style of the hotel, location and friendly reception staff. Service in the restaurant was very poor, despite being quiet. Yet the food itself was excellent.
Friendly helpful staff, stylish room Traffic noise, no airconditioning
The room was ver nice and the staff extremley pleasant and helpful Not a complaint but note that if you go on a weekend then you should make a reservation for your meal
The wooden roll top bath on the mezzazine floor and all the wooden beams Nothing
Peaceful surrounding no
Large room Would give it a miss. Website looks better than reality
central position room too hot . could not control heat
I have stayed here before and went back because we knew it was goog value. Only a 10 minute walk to liverpool one and all the shops. We were able to come back in the evening and relax in the nice bar area lookin out at the mersey. A lovely few days away. There was a lot of noise during the night from a group of friends fighting. Though this was not the fault of the dolby and they did apologise in the morning.
The amazing helpful and friendley staff. Wierd bathroom

the staff, breakfast,& location the bed was uncomfortable
breakfast was good and pleasant surroundings whilst eating. maybe the stairways/corridors could be brought up to a better standard, felt a bit dirty when walking through, decor tired carpets etc.
Clean smart hotel, cheap as chips, yet good value, didnt have much time 2 stay and sample much else,as we arrived late and departed early, due to early morning flight, but overall a nice wee hotel in a handy enough location for seeing the fine city of Liverpool Nothing
The view of the dock and the fact that breakfast was optional and reasonable
location and access unfortunately too much noise at 3.45 AM
good value and convenient location
we were able to walk to closeby attractions of the city of liverpool n/a
Huge bed , high ceilings , overall good sized clean and comfortable Very pleasant and helpful staff It says car parking , which is misleading , there's a multi storey just down the road
Excellent location, staff were friendly, rooms were very modern, clean and provided all necessary amenties. Shower was excellent.
Comfortable bed, good facilities and very friendly staff The room would be greatly improved by the addition of an easy chair and a toothbrush holder or glass in the bathroom. Only 2 teabags left which seems pretty mean spirited, I'm sure you can afford more.
I absolutely loved this hotel! I slept in for my flight and a member of staff came n woke me up! helped me to pack my stuff! seriously beautiful hotel! Around the corner from d main party square and two minutes away from the main shopping area! go here! the staff are amazing!
loved everthing bout the hotel 1 of the best city centre hotels ive stayed cool trendy very central good local discounted carparking and very friendly staff will definatly be back! nuthin it was top notch!
This is a very new hotel voted 1 on Trip Advisor. I visit Liverpool often and have stayed in many hotels. The room was very clean, high-tec design was ok - good to be close to s many places of interest. Good bathroom. Awful air-con, cold air blowing directly onto the bed all night was very poor - very little sleep! Staff unable to fix? Alternative room offered seemed to have a similar problem - no upgrade suggested/offered to compensate. Single room was the size of a large cupboard, bathroom almost as big.........? I hope the double rooms are bigger?
It was very close to everything! The bus station, the nightlife, restaurants and the shops were all within 5 minutes walking time or less! :) We couldnt open our window and the room just felt a teeney bit claustrophobic because of it!
Perfect! I haven't a bad word to say about base2stay.
the breakfast was amazing room was too hot, no room to walk around bed without banging your head on tv.
Breakfast It was extremely noisy
the car parking was verry good also the breakfast was also good we could not use the bar in the hotel as there was a function on also was told when booking there was a free bar from 5 to 7pm but did not exist this was the reason why we originally booked this hotel als the price was expensive and not value for money
The breakfast was good. Colleagues had dinner in the hotel which they did not enjoy. Very uncomfortable, noisy room.
Friendly staff and near city centre.
comfortable & very conveinant for city centre
The reception staff very helpful Breakfast food was only average and the tea was cold.
handy for city centre room was very small had to open bathroom door to access the shower room no 49
Location poor condition, not as discribed on website
Friendlyness of staff
extremely good natured natured staff It was intolerably noisy. First from band recording in studios then from neighbouring nightclub The bathroom floor was not clean. I could not access the internet, which I needed for wor
Room was very clean and comfortable and central At times the noise was a bit too much. Our room was beside the lift and the noise from the lift was loud and in operation all through the night.
I loved the rooms. Very stylish and cosy! I did not like the noise. One of the noisiest hotels i have ever stayed in. I normally dont mind noise all that much but between loud music (which actually wasnt that bad probably because of our room location) the shouting on the street at 3am and the work on the street from 8am.
Sharon on reception was lovely, she couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was excellent and good value at £6 all in. The location is brilliant for a shopping trip. There was noise from a local club until 4.30 am on Saturday night. It wasn't loud and most people would probably sleep through it, but it kept me awake.
A good atmosphere,friendly staff,well located.
Welcoming and freindly staff. Good breakfast. Good bar/club in the basement.
Trendy boutique hotel and room nothing
The room was fantastic, staff were helpful and hotel was at excellent location. It looks like like an old factory outside, but like they say... 'don't judge a book by its cover'!
It was more like staying in an up market funky apartment as apposed to a hotel it was great The lift, very old fashioned and very noisy to guests
we loved the design of the building and the furnitures, and is amazing go downstairs and have something to drink and live stage set. beatiful! just they may have more care in the room cleaning
The Hatters has quite a lot of rooms where you can spend your evening, play pool billiard or Wii and meet other guests. The room was a bit spartan. There was only a small camping table, but no chairs and no table lamps.
Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean, well located. Room walls very thin, can hear people showering next door. Room very sparse and poorly fitted out. Need to pay deposit for a remote. Windows don't shut properly. Some kind of emergency light on all night in room. One tiny lift with no light in it. Building work going on during the day. No wifi available in room - though advertised.
Nice clean room only is problem Freeze room at bedroom , cant sleep but only one pillow or no extra blanket is really shames
proximity to city center a bit noisy Saturday night
Cleanliness, beautiful en-suite bathroom, free luggage room, friendly staff, city centre location Very poor breakfast, room not very cosy, no WiFi although advertised
Nothing I didn't like the idea of being in a room with strangers it's not safe at all. as a matter of fact I did spend a night there. I'm just wondering if I can get a refund
Very good value for money and very easy to get to as it is central and close to the railway station. I had booked a twin room for myself so when I got to the room one bed was made (though without pillows) while the other had not been made and had obviously been slept in. It did have pillows which I had to use. Maybe if the idea is to only make one bed if it is one person at least remove the used linen from the other bed. Also there was a towel on the floor of the bathroom and the bin in the room was full.
It was a fair value of money.Bath room was clean and television working. Smell of paint+dust near windows.
The games room give you something different from other accommodation The heating seemed to be on constantly which meant it was very hard to get a good nights sleep
Confortable beds. My booking had not been entered into the system but the staff were very helpful in correcting this.
The location and the friendlyness of staff! The rooms were a little too hot for me! However I would rather it too hot than too cold! It was freezing outside!
basic, clean and good location corridore carpets needed hovering, they wouldve been better wooden like the bedrooms
Staff were helpful. Cheap(ish) and cheerful. Towels not provided and I was charged extra for one. TV did not work.
- No windows in the room - no mobile network
The location was excellent a 5 minute walk into town or £3 in a taxi
Excellent location close to everything, comfortable room and very clean and nice bathroom. The staff was helpful, internet cafe next to reception. We liked the small room in the basement with no windows very much - very original. We prefer small and cosy rooms. There was a tamed noise coming from the upstairs disco, started after 10.00pm on Friday & finished after 3.00 am on Saturday - was bearable. No breakfast. Had to pay for left luggage. No air-conditioning, no fresh air.
good location you got what you paid for so no complaints
Staffs there are very helpful, kindness. Room is too small. Toilet is too small.
Cheap To many people
We all felt very welcome when arrived
friendly staff, great location, character no lift
fast wireless internet, good breakfast, some rooms have been renowated and look really up-to-date quite noisy in the room, only 5 TV channels,
shower room excellent. Breakfast food, cutlery and service excellent. Double bed uncomfortable and small.
The central position Hotel was cramped, both rooms and dining room
Great little hotel, well situated for shopping and sights and very close to Lime Street Station.Reserved a double room but were given the The Studio which would have been perfect for a family with 1 double, 1 single and a sofa bed very spacious and with a lovely bathroom. Excellent value, spotlessly clean and good breakfast included.
Didn't spend much time there, but the staff was helpful and nice, the beds were comfortable and their scrambeled eggs perfect! The space in the dining room was a bit too small,- it was difficult to get seated at the table in the morning.
The location was perfect for the occassion which was to see art in the Liverpool Biennial and to visit tourist attractions such as the museums at Albert Dock. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming and the included breakfast was generous. The checkout time of 10.30 am seemed a bit tight, though they were good about us leaving our bags.
The rooms were fairly large and the entire hotel was reasonably comfortable---more like a large B and B than a business hotel The hotel was overpriced
it's a traditional english inn but surprisingly it is very very clean and comfy eventhough the room is a bit small and cramped. the toilet looks quite new and clean. the breakfast is very nice.
Room had a lot of extras which was good to see. Renovations taking place at the time. No electricty in the room on a couple of occasions! Better option would have been to close until work completed. Room was cramped and decor looked tired and worn, needed updating. Would not recommend until work completed.
