Pros: I liked the location and as we stayed at the weekend there were plenty of parking outside the hotel and around the area. Fulham road and South Ken are within walking distance although King's Road was a bit further up the road. The staff were friendly and called us on our mobile to say we can have an early check in. We got a favourable rate from booking.com which made it good value for money.

Pros: we arrived at the hotel to find the boiler had broken and as such, would have to move hotel. To the hotels credit, they moved us to another 4 star hotel in a better location, the marlebone hotel just off bond street. So all was well after a shaky start. The grand royal did look a lovely hotel from the lobby, just a pity we didn't get to see the room.
