Cons: - very soft mattress, might not be comfortable sleep for those who are used to firm beds - breakfast included in the room rate would be welcomed as breakfast for £23.90 for 2 is slightly pricey
7.1 Good
Pros: The large room Friendly staff Countryside location near to historical Linlithgow, Edinburgh & Fife.
Cons: Room is lovely & big, the large double bed was actually 2 single beds together. I did not feel it was value for money as breakfast not included.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great. Breakfast perfect and great coffee Room very clean and interesting view of Linlithgow
Cons: Bit of a poor hostess tray. Not even a biscuit
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The four of us really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner too at the restaurant. Staff are very helpful here. Being one minute away from a train to Edinburgh (20 minute ride) was just great. Having a Tesco grocery store and two good coffee shops across the street was great. They accommodated my vegetarian diet for breakfast very well.
Cons: The only negative thing I noticed is that the lighting is very low and a headlamp for reading came in handy. There's also an emergency light at the doorway which is a bright green LED light at night, way too bright. But we found a way around these problems.

Cons: It wasn't until we had booked and paid for our room that we got the warning that there would be noise due to events. If we had known at the time of booking, I would have chosen somewhere else to stay.

7.5 Good
Pros: safe environment for family
Cons: No breakfast during weekdays
9.7 Excellent
Pros: We were there while working out flat rental and other things as part of moving to the UK from the US. The staff and regulars are fabulous, really friendly, very helpful and informative. The room was cosy and comfortable, and it and the shared bathroom were very clean. The shower drain was a bit slow, but they had a plumber out and it was fixed within a short time of us letting them know. The food is terrific, and excellent value for the money. The haggis pakora and beef pie with mash and veggies were amazing. And if it's not the restaurant's serving time, there's Land & Sky fish & chips, Margo's Bakehouse with a great breakfast and rolls/sandwiches, and a really good 4 In 1 curry/kebab/pizza place all a five minute walk or less away.
Cons: The wifi signal in the rooms is rather sketchy, but signal in the bar and restaurant is good. The staff are very accommodating and were great about us having to sort of set up office at a table for quite some time.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Food, drinks, staff.
Cons: Rooms could do with a freshen up.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: An enormous room, with a large bed, sofas and room for a dance floor. Food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Two singles being pushed to make a large double, although this was made well so there wasn’t the awkward gap in the middle.
6.3 Good
Pros: Room was quite large.
Cons: Very noisy. Overpriced. Only 3 sockets in the room (TV, Lamp, and Kettle). Kettle had to be placed on the carpet near the bed inorder to access the plug socket.
7.0 Good
Pros: near train station to go to edimburgh. spacious room and comfy bed.
Cons: room was a bit cold.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff were very friendly and the location in central Falkirk is great.
Cons: Very loud music from the bar downstairs kept me awake until the small hours. Traffic noise and shouting people outside. I found a used hypodermic needle in the bedside cabinet drawer and the bed linen was very stained.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, good size room, most of the staff were staff polite and pleasant. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic, and the complimentary toiletries were lovely! Easy check in and check out. The location was great for me- just half an hour from Edinburgh Airport. Really enjoyed my time in the pool/Spa area, very relaxing (excellent Steam room).
Cons: There was a problem with the WiFi, which took a while to sort. The restaurant staff where dismissive and inattentive; took ages for them return to clear my plate. The TV didn't respond to the remote very well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was so comfy and we had the best sleep
Cons: Everything was great
6.6 Good
Pros: Staying in a castle
Cons: Rooms were poorly decorated and sparse. Not what you would expect from a castle. Additionally the food was very bland and highly overpriced for the descriptions. Not what I expected from a 4star resort and spa.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was lovely and the spa was great
Cons: There was a wedding on we went to the bar for a drink and couldn’t get a seat to drink our drink there weren’t a lot of seats
7.5 Good
Pros: The fact that this castle is a piece of history made us make the detour to stay the evening!
Cons: While the exterior is magnificent and the staff friendly and hospitable.... some of the property seems as if it should be updated... we do think updates are in progress... yet one of our rooms had no pressure in the very outdated shower head and the water wouldn’t heat in the tub. Also, pillows and bedding were a bit hard and carpets in the family rooms were a bit worn. Again, we do think the castle is being slowly renovated... but it would be nice to have been warned...
7.1 Good
Pros: Lovely hotel with nice facilities.
Cons: The weekend we were there, there was party nights on both Friday and Saturday nights, we were only informed 2 days before and were told that there would be no dining facilities on Friday evening, what we should have been told was 'vacate the hotel after 18.00 you will not be welcome ' no provision for any guest unless you are at the party! Ask when booking, if there is a party night on, use the premier Inn down the road!

7.5 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: Bed was stained
4.2 Okay
Pros: Staff where nice, but that was it
Cons: Rooms in very much need of repair and update, room was very dirty and needed to request a room change second night due to dirt, second room was just ok, , I had to leave my key each time I left hotel and wait at reception for it on my return, rooms really small no place to put belongings and toilet pan is in shower cubicle, which means you have to go into a wet shower cubicle to use toilet and also the toilet pan is soaking due to the shower, more a single room hostel than a hotel, smoke alarm goes of during the night which awoke me twice overall it was such a disaster it was actually hilarious, I am still dumb founded by this, at the price I didn't expect anything great, but so didn't expect what I got, theirs a travel lodge over the car park, pay the extra and stay their or anywhere else, staff were nice enough though, and helpful under the circumstances, could add loads of photos but doesn't give me the option
4.6 Okay
Pros: Very very basic! Not clean!
Cons: First room they gave me had a horrible smell Second room was dirty and had food stains all over carpet/ sink
1.0 Poor
Pros: Beds like hard board
Cons: My checking out day.hotel is very dirty very noisy only suitable for work men coffee was out of a vending machine which cost £1.25 and to strong too drink.Toilet and Bathroom was shared by everyone no privacy when taking a show, toilets were not ones shown in pictures nor the bathroom,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really friendly and I would definitely book with them again.
