Pros: Exceptional hotel, more like a five star hotel. It is in a very safe neighbourhood, and a very large supermarket in the Dakota 95 Mall as well as a 7 Eleven is a few mins away. The staff are exceptional and were so helpful, showing me to my room and speaking great English. There is a young tall gentleman who mans the front desk in the day time and afternoon and he is extremely courteous and helpful. The room was immaculate. Extremely large, very much brand new, and ever so comfortable. This is the perfect hotel, and I cannot remember the last time I stayed at such a comfortable, clean and immaculately presented hotel. I stayed for five nights and was sad to leave! The service, location, room was outstanding. I would not hesitate to return. The price was great as well.

Pros: This is our first time in Mexico, we booked Mex Suites Casa Azul B&B for 4 nights, we enjoyed it so much in the end we extended our staying to a week. The hotel is located at a mid class neighborhood area, where you can experience a real Mexico City rather than only the tourist part. This area is really safe, we walk on the street at night time with no worries at all. There are a couple of convenience stores just a few steps away. It takes about 20mins to Uber to the airport and 15mins to downtown. Maurice is such a great host and a wonderful person. He helped us a lot and we felt so lucky to get to know him. We came to Mexico without any plans and without knowing nothing about Mexico. Maurice helped us made our trip gradually during our stay, not just in Mexico City but also the whole country. We love taking Metrobus a lot, it is a great way to explore the city. Maurice gave us a metro card on our first day, which is super helpful. We hope we can come back to visit Maurice again in the future:)

Cons: My only problem with this property is it is a smoker-friendly property, and someone was smoking inside the property every day. Smoke travels and it is impossible to keep it out of non-smoking guest rooms, even when we would push something up against the door to keep the smoke travelling into our room. In the end my clothes smelled a little musty, but also, I had a strong allergic reaction and felt quite unwell from the smoke by the end of our stay, I ended up having to take antihistamines for the rest of the holiday as it activated all my allergies which was uncomfortable. Perhaps a small price to pay but it was unfortunate considering the rest of the property is so fantastic. I would have to reconsider if I stayed there again on the basis.

Cons: No real issues. If I was being fussy, I'd mention the apparent lack of a lounge/bar area and outdoor sitting space. However, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, so it wasn't that much of a problem

Cons: Rather small bathroom inside and the attention to detail of the staff can make this experience better. They sometimes forgot to place new towels or to clean up the room service. And the automatic curtains are only cool if they work, which they didn’t.

Pros: Hotel is in a very convenient location, close to the Roma district with good bars and restaurants. The breakfast was very good and nicely located on the top floor with a view of the city.
Cons: The room did not have any openable windows, so after showers the room would get really damp. When leaving the room air conditioning and mechanical ventilation stopped working so the room would not be properly ventilated.

Pros: The staff in the front desk were very kind and professional. They allowed me to do an early check in and late check out, highly appreciated! The room is a bit old-fashion, however the bed and mattress are in great condition (I would say new) and very comfortable. All was very clean and all the staff in general very attentive (front desk, concierge, security and house keeping). Well located!

Cons: They do not pay attention to the requests that one makes when the reservation is made, because I requested a room away from the main Av. And it was there where they stayed, so I could not rest the first night. They also made me wait a lot during the check inn that was at dawn and I was very tired. They left me standing waiting without saying good night or saying "in a moment I attend"

Cons: We picked this hotel because it was near activities we wanted to see and do. It wasn’t close to the airport but it advertised itself offering free airport shuttle...as we were staying only 1 night this would safe us time and hassle. They didn’t answer my request thru booking.com about confirming where airport pickup was and at what time. I rang them ,to be told they only drop off to airport....so we navigated the subway. On checking in we booked our shuttle to the airport- we confirmed what time to be ready for driver... Next morning we check out. Ask where to wait for the driver to be told he doesn’t work Sundays! Back on the subway again but this time it’s tight! The journey is 1hour and we only had an hour to get there...after navigating the airport....we were late and only just made it before checkin closed! We didn’t mind making our own way to the airport... just disappointed a service offered wasn’t available to us....or communication wasn’t clear....we could’ve left the hotel an hour earlier as we were ready and waiting! A stressful start to our holiday and our first stay in Mexico City.

Cons: The cleaning service wasn't the best, on some days they didn't replace and/or completed missing parts such as shampoo but the room was relativly clean. Also, the windows in the room are not noise isolated - it's not a loud area however you can hear pepole talking in the lobby... Breakfast is relativly poor - don't come hungry.

Cons: Safety box did not work at the first room, so they changed the room. Also, the hair dryer in the new room did not work and smelled like burnt. Double bed is to small for two people so I recommend a queen size one. They could enrich breakfast with pre-cooked food such as eggs.

It’s also pretty obvious they don’t wash the duvet as it’s a much more yellow color than the matching pillowcases. We left the “please clean our room” sign on our door most days and never once did anyone make up our room.

To the managers credit he was very helpful and informative and went out of his way to make the rest of our stay as pleasant as possible so no other issues there. The room needs work. Some shoddy construction work in the bathroom is obvious, a new quieter air unit, better quality towels, more pillows. Some harder to fix, some easier. Towels and pillows should be easy. Get rid of the crappy ones immediately. Was the new ones before adding them to rooms.

Cons: My room (2nd floor street-side) was very large, but a strange set-up. There was a frosted window above the toilet that opened into the lobby atrium - why??? At first it wouldn’t stay closed all the way, but maintenance fixed that. Walls are thin, and the person next to me was blasting music all day until I asked for it to be turned down each night. If you want quiet, make sure you’re not on the street side. One morning I realized one of the pillows from the day before wasn’t put in a pillowcase and it was just the stained pillow. Cleaners would remove used towels on the floor but not replace a whole set (some days I had a face towel, some days no). Maybe I just got a bad room, but I was not impressed.

Cons: Lobby smelled as if someone had urined there. I couldn't park my car by myself. Staff was just chasing for tips without giving out an excellent service. Front desk lady on my check out day was pretty rude and forcing me to re-check my invoice address. I did check everything I wrote down the day I checked in, and my handwriting is pretty clear. I wasn't able to lose time. I had a handicapped relative on my car waiting for me. And the "physician" they phone call for "emergencies" I'm not sure if he was a licensed Doctor. He was also rude and didn't know what he was doing. The only good thing was the room size (suite) and the location.

Cons: Worst hostel I have ever stayed in (I stayed three nights because they require payment in advance). Impossible to get an uninterrupted night's sleep. Clubs/bars directly under the room, people coming and going at all hours of the night, no respect for those trying to sleep. One lady had a loud twenty minute phone conversation in bed at 3am. Normally I wouldn't allow the behaviour of guests to impact my review but I get the impression these are hostel regulars, so expect them to be there when you are. Room stuffy and full of mosquitoes, kitchen and showers are below average.
