Pros: I like the location of this property and the farmhouse design and vibe. The grounds are beautiful and the set up of cottages is really cool. Beds were quite comfy.
Cons: Our cottage was poorly located next to the highway. Luckily I turned on the AC and the fan noise drowned most of it out. The cottage had several things that needed attention. Cracked tile, tons of scuffs on the walls, bathroom fixtures hadn't been wiped down and appeared dusty. Like a film of dust on the lotion dispenser is not ok. My husband and I asked to check in early and were not told that the room they had was a room with 2 full beds. We have two young kids and for 900$ a night, one king bed would have been nice. The staff at the check in were less than friendly or accommodating. I had to ask for water and they looked at me like that was a crazy request. A hotel of this caliber should offer water upon arrival especially on 90 degree days. Overall I was disappointed. I wanted so much more from this property and it just wasn't there. I likely won't return.

Pros: This place needs to update its heat/cooling systems. The whole hotel has to be on either heat or cool in order to get your room where you want it temperature wise. I will not stay here again! The first room that we were given was like a dungeon, all slate floors and it was cold and dark, our second room had mold growth in the shower.

Pros: The facility was beautiful, much more than I expected. The cook to order breakfast was a bonus.
Cons: Room appeared clean at first glance, but I dropped something between the couch and needed to move it. The floor had a layer of dirt and there was food, clothing and all sorts of other stuff. The pull out bed and extra blanket in the closet were both soiled.

Pros: The breakfast and manager's reception were a good value. Location is very convenient to the historical downtown, where the majority of the restaurants are located. It was a $6 uber ride most nights. The location is also very close to the highway, making it very easy to get to the wineries.
Cons: They didn't vacuum the floors! On the second day, we found popcorn next to furniture that we hadn't used the first day, and we hasn't eaten any popcorn. If you want a king-size bed, you have to book direct. And be aware - they say they offer rooms with two queen-size beds, but they're actually full-size beds.

Pros: Great place to stay! Stayed in a suite and the room was clean and large. Enjoyed the breakfast as well. Facilities were great, loved the pools and swans!
Cons: Happy hour left something to be desired, but I can't complain about free alcohol and snacks. Parking was limited also but was never an issue

Pros: Much nicer than any other Embassy Suites that we have stayed at. Sevice was great. We had booked two double beds and when they didn't have that available, they resolved it by giving us two rooms.

Cons: We were on vacation with our young children and while the facilities were lovely we could not enjoy them as pretty much the entire hotel allowed smoking exciting for one small outdoor seating area that actually included a sign 'designated for non smokers'. It really put us off returning to this hotel.

Cons: No individual AC units per room. Meaning the AC is the same temperature throughout the whole facility. Our room was a sauna and we had the worst sleep ever. We complained and were given a fan, but all that did was blow the hot air around.

Pros: The resort was very nice! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Having our own balcony was an added plus. It was in a nice quiet location.
Cons: We upgraded our room primarily because I knew my husband would enjoy having a fireplace, but there wasn't much of a fire - there were tiny blue flames that could barely be seen around the logs.

Pros: That every unit has a full kitchen.
Cons: Even though it looks nice a decent with your bare eyes but when you start looking into the details of things, this place is filthy. The bathroom tiles are dirty, showers are moldy, shower glass areas are not properly wiped down, bathroom is filled with dusts, and pillow cases were sticky (feel like the sheets and pillow cases were not changed. My entire family got bitten by something (we were not sure what it was) and we can clearly see the bug bites on our body. This is a time share place. They are super pushy and force you to go to their breakfast. Very rude people. I will not go back anymore and I do not recommend this place.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and room service delivered very promptly when I ordered a late night snack. And right on time for morning breakfast. Tasting room and it's staff were wonderful and knowledgeable. The grounds are beautiful and we'll taken care of. Shuttle service was always on time and very quick when called to pick up. Bathrooms were very large. Bed super comfy. Will definitely return
Cons: We got a ground floor room. :( originally booked is for a 2 bed room which was unnecessary since it was just my girlfriend and I. But they changed it no problem just had to settle for ground floor. Not much they can do about that I suppose. Only other thing I would change is make it a no kid zone. Your kids don't need to come to Napa anyway, Napa is for adults. Leave them with grandma

Cons: The lounge costs money to play bowling - $20 per person for an hour, $15 an hour for shuffle board and pool. This should be included not extra for guests staying at the resort. They should charge people who aren't staying at the resort.

Pros: The room was beautiful with nice decor. it was pretty specious with a king size bed and a pull out queen size sofa bed. The welcoming bottle of wine was great. The whole property was beautiful esp. with the winery facing hotel.
Cons: Our only regret was no one came to clean up our room even when the "no disturb" sign was not hanging outside the door. One cannot turn on the shower while standing outside the bathtub. As a result, one has to go inside the tub, turn on the water and stay inside the tub to wait for the water to turn warm.

Pros: The room was lovely. The bowling alley and pool area is very fun. The newer area was clean and nice looking. Check in was quick and easy. Bell service was fast but not well informed.
Cons: The pool area was dirty with trash apparent, the glass tables had not been cleaned from the day before and the cushions need to be replaced as they are stained and worn from use and sun exposure. We were charged two restaurant charges that were not ours. We had to make three or four calls to have it corrected. It finally was, but with no apology for the mistake, trouble, time, etc.... The older area of the hotel needs painting, the tile needs cleaning or painting, the carpet needs to be replaced and just generally needs a facelift to match the newer wing. The hot tub was not hot.

Pros: I loved the location. The resort and grounds are beautiful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I tried all the restaurants and the bar and the both food and service was fantastic.
Cons: My room had a partial view of the parking lot and the vineyard. It was on the corner on the second floor. It must have been near where the employees checked in or where room service was delivered out off because every few minutes I would hear a cart being pushed and people talking. This went on day and night. Also, the walls are paper thin. I could hear toilets flushing and the guests next door to me kids getting up early in the morning. However, it is a hotel and these things can't be controlled. Next time i will request a 3rd floor room .

Pros: The rooms here were, for the most part, clean and nice. The staff was friendly, and overall it was a good experience. We had to ask for new sheets because the ones we had were noticeably dirty when we arrived. It is not within walking distance to downtown, but it is only a quick drive away. For the price I received through Kayak, it was worth it.

Cons: I had specifically booked a room with two queen beds and a hillside view, but received a room with a king bed and courtyard view. The hotel did not provide body lotion. The first day I thought it was an oversight, but on the second day they replenished the shampoo and soap, but still no lotion. Very long wait for valet parking at 10:30am. About 45 min. Chose to self park the next day.

Pros: The resort and grounds are beautiful and the service was excellent no matter where ranging from getting coffee downstairs, the bar, maintenance ( our keys would not work so the entire lock needed to be replaced) and concierge. Highly recommend the Meritage !! I would return every year if I could.
Cons: This is not a complaint ~ but we found that it took a long time for water (faucet and shower) to heat.
