On the beach, size of the room, close to everything Bathroom was small, elevator problems
Overall nice stay. Did see a roach one morning in the bathroom. Otherwise good service. Nice staff. Clean heated pool. Nice waterfront and easy access to beach. Good happy hour. Neal at their restaurant, Traders, was awesome! Make sure you see Neal. Good food, had loaded fries and the ribeye and both were good. Just the roach sighting in our bathroom one morning
Rooms were clean. Employees were very nice and helpful. Your on the ocean ,there's a huge pool ( salt water ). There is a restaurant , indoor bar and tiki bar at the pool. There is also a 7-11 across the street.
Rooms were clean, available when we checked in, close to everything. Tiki Bartender Benson was awsom! Seperate parking for trailers and bikes. If it weren;t for the price I would stay in March for Bike Week. Stayed at this hotel a month eariler and paid $60 less. I hate the price gouging during events.
We were originally put in a pool side room because the parking lot on the other side was being redone and the staff had concerns over noise. We were appreciative and understanding about the parking situation and immediately crashed for the night since we got in close to 2AM. The next day we enjoyed the pool with family who were also staying there. The following day, we woke up to the pool being drained. There were signs that indicated we could use other hotel's pools, but that barely seemed tempting since I prefer to be able to walk to the pool in my suit and then go right back to my room when done. I immediately checked to see if we had been given prior notice of the closure when I booked the room, since that might have changed our hotel decision. I only found one note that explained that the pool would be closed for maintenance but that it would be complete ONE MONTH before our arrival. I asked the front desk why there was a change, how long the pool would be closed, why we were not informed that the maintenance changed and actually impacted our stay. Long story short, all I got in return was again pointing out that I could use a different hotel's pool. I left feeling like I was paying for an amenity that I could not use and there was no apology for the inconvenience or lack of communication. I don't understand why we were put on one side of the hotel to avoid one partial night of construction (really it ended up just being painting the next morning) and were put on a side of the hotel to witness (and hear... the pump draining the pool woke us up) for the next 3 days of our stay.
Has a decent restaurant, pool, beach chairs by the beach. Close to beach for good price
Very friendly and helpful staff. One of the most bike friendly places I have stayed. Close enough to Main Street but far enough away to enjoy some quiet. I cannot think of anything to complain about Just a really good place to stay
The hotel is amazing and at a perfect view right on the Beach. It was an overall terrible experience, I had 2 nights and it was pricy but I was willing to pay some extra money to enjoy my vacation, the first night the room next to me had a party with a music that was so loud and when I complained, they changed my room and I had to pack my stuff and walk to the other tower for another room at 1:30 am, there was no security and rooms were packed with at least 5 or 6 teenagers and they were so noisy and again no security or someone who can ask them to lower the noise at least at night time, 2nd night had a false fire alarm and had to evacuate the whole hotel and that took about 3 hours to resolve, got back to my room at 1 am, that might be a bad luck so that won't be the case for everyone but once again the hotel had no kind of security or manager that take care of the guests and provide a quiet, relaxing time for their guests vacation.
Loved the location to the beach and the staff was awesome The window in our room was not sealed all the way, we had a view of literally only the roof, and the pool seemed small for a hotwl of that size. It was always packed.
The front counter staff needs to be better trained on how to handle customers who book the hotel through third party sites like Kayak, Priceline, Expedia, etc.
Staff was friendly and helpful to an extent, the hidden fees were your surprise when checking out. All the add on fees are terrible!
the rooms were spacious and nice. The check in lady was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay great. I would definitely recommend staying here nothing
Proximity to everything and friendly staff. Went down for the bike rally and was charged excessivly for parking. I was charged to park my truck, my trailer and even charged to park my bike at the hotel for a grand total of $204.00 for 4 days.
The view and the facilities were worth it. Paying for parking, which was across the street... Very inconvenient.
The location on the Daytona oceanfront can't be beat. We have stayed here every spring break for the past 5 years. I must say, it has gone downhill. Everything is just looking shabby. Our room smelled moldy. The staff were incredibly rude on several occasions. we paid a premium price for Motel 6 service. We'll be looking for different accommodations next year.
Staff Room al
I liked that everything was close to hotel. There was garbage in stairwells and so many homeless people hanging around.
The hotel was nice, clean and the staff were all very helpful. The restaurants offered good food (especially Hyde Park) and the pool area was fun to hang out in. The beach access was excellent and we enjoyed the ease of leaving at night to go on walks down the beach front. We didn't stay in Daytona much as we travelled to St. Augustine and Coca Beach but the hotel is a good half way point for both places. The food and beverages are really expensive and if you just add them to your room expense instead of paying cash the cost will add up quickly! The rooms are clean but very basic and had a little wear and tear. No refrigerator in our room nor a trash can in the bathroom which is just strange not to have. The windows and walls are very thin so you hear all the noise from the Amusement park which is right next to the hotel if you stay on the south side of the hotel. Valet is always nice but for $22/night again can add up quickly but they were very fast in getting my car!
2 hour wait for room svc,...no coffee
I liked the breakfast buffet spread. I liked that it was right on the beach.
Food and the beach music to loud and way to much should have time to enjoy the sound of the ocean and the wind. Way to much music and way to early
The beach access was very convenient and the rooms where clean and well kept.
Excellent accomodations, relaxing, excellent spa, pool area romantic getaway. Once you arrive you do not need to go anywhere else.
Quieter, less crowded beach. Good for families with small children. Small, slow elevators. Not enough parking.
I liked the ocean front , also that everything was in walking distance My room , the bed wasn't comfortable, which is why we stay @ Hampton , the room was handicap accessible but it was super small so how can a wheel chair fit in there, then the bathroom had no vanity , all of my items got wet from the room holding much moisture when the AC was in use. The furniture in my room didn't look updated. If it had not been for the Hampton Inn logos I would've thought I was in a motel 6 . This hotel needs to be updated, the rooms that is. The foyer & lobby area is beautiful , but the minute I stepped in my room it was pure disappointment. The closet I could hang my cloths in because the rack was to low, then there's the table top ironing board. I have to say as a hilton honors member , this was the worse Hampton I've stayed @. The outside beauty saved me from asking for a refund .
The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff was very friendly and willing to answer all of our questions. Breakfast was also one of the best continental breakfasts I've ever had. Loved how close we were to the beach and that we could include the beach chair rentals to our room. Definitely a place for the family. I stayed here on vacation with my boyfriend and we were surrounded by children. I was also uncomfortable at one point when one of the employees asked me if I was on my way downstairs to meet up with my husband and kids.
Courteous, helpful, professional staff.
Great location. Large room with kitchen. Separate sleeping room.
Good location: on the beach and within walking distance of restaurant, bar and shops. The facilities are also well taken care of and the staff is very helpful.
The unique design of the double bed rooms was nice. We liked the kitchenette/seating area so we could invite our travel partners to play cards or watch TV together. The pool area overlooking the ocean was great! No free breakfast. That would move it up in the ratings and keep your census at 100%.
The beach views and location The price
Good location. Nice to have kitchenette. The only major turnoff for this spot is you can drive on the beach. Seems ridiculous to allow cars and trucks on the beach with kids running around.
My thoughts are it's better now than when it was Holiday Inn.
Every single staff member I talked to was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed for 5 days with our 7 month old daughter and they had a packnplay ready and cleaned everyday for her! The hotel is right on the beach and a perfect spot for a family vacation as shopping and restaurants are close by! We loved our stay in New Smyrna at the Best Western.
Room was clean and great views. We were given a handicap room which was not part of the original reservation.
everything was fine. room smelled musty.
The only part i liked was when we found a new hotel and checked out! The hotel was dirty all over, lobby, checkin, hallway, elevator ect. One of the bath towels that appeared not to be used had blood all over it and scabs on it. One of the pillow xases had blood on it. The hot tub was cold. Il never satay at another one! Ive stayed at motel 6's that were alot cleaner and treated respectively not like i was a bother!
I liked the bed and shower. The staff did bring me extra pillows. Toilet back up but staff was quick to respond but had to show attendant how to use the plunger. I had to change rooms because the A/C unit did not work. The continental breakfast was OK at best. The TV remote did not work properly. Needs a Safe placed in each room. Lamps were not plugged in. TV channel program was not in room.
The room smelled like the rug was wet or moldy. When I first got there my room wasn't ready meanwhile I had called in advance to see if it was. The night before my checkout my key card did not work! Horrible experience
It was quiet dirty carpets, only one elevator and it was slow. Dogs barking, poor food quality and poor selection...staff hot and cold.
Nice view of water
Excellent staff, location AND price!! ZERO complaints
Location. Right on beach very close to access road to the mainland. Slight musty smell in. room when we first. Got there.
Balcony with view of ocean Was a nonsmoking room but could still smell smoke in room & hallway. Rugs need to be steam cleaned.
Nice and safe N/a
The staff was nothing less then amazing, from the front desk to the cleaning employees.
I liked that the staff changed our room, since the first "non-smoking" room highly stunk like cigarettes. i didn't like that one of the workers tried to disregard our concerned by stating it was cooking smell - which is a huge difference, but the gentleman at the front desk graciously changed our room. Couldn't enjoy the balcony for too long as others were smoking on their balconies... But at least enjoyed the view from the balcony glass windows.
A lot of the Daytona Beach Shores hotels had awful reviews. This hotel had good reviews and lived up to the reviews. Clean!
The location was good & view from room was everything you'd expect staying on the beach. Hotel needs serious updating/re-freshening. Probably ruined by the "spring break days"...10+ years ago. In my opinion... kinda dumpy. BUT...the view & location made up for it. Stayed at the Hyatt down the street B4 which had free breakfast & was updated, clean & nice but of course, a little more$$...would definitely check other options next time..but during spring break--with my 10 year old... it served it's purpose for the price. Micro & fridge. Publix about 2 miles away..it was good.
THE VIEW OF THE OCEAN. Seem to take a long period of time for rooms available on reservations that was made.
The staff was very friendly and catered to my needs. The room was clean ad had a nice view of the ocean . Check in and check out was fast and easy. The only complaint I have is the the A/C unit had a loud high pitch noise comming from it.
The rooms were very clean and the staff was very nice. The only gripe I had was that it wasn't very college kid friendly and nowhere near where all the spring breakers were.
Huge issues with elevators. Only 3 for the hotel and 1 was broken much of our stay. Unable to use elevators at all during check out due to back up. Had to load gear for 3 babies by using 3 floors worth of stairs. Beautiful hotel but elevator problems are a deal-breaker.
Bathrooms extremely small
The view was great and the hotel was clean. Upon checking into the hotel, I quickly discovered a metal plate across the balcony of my ocean view room which stuck up about 6 inches, causing me and my boyfriend to trip over it and nearly fall at least twice during our stay. Maybe it was meant to keep small animals like Chihuahuas from entering onto the balcony (sarcasm). I was barefoot during one of those "trips" and stubbed my toe to the point of bleeding. Once we got used to hurling ourselves over that barrier and we were enjoying the ocean view from the balcony which partially overlooked the parking garage where I parked my car, we realized we were watching people come and go during the evening. You would assume since this is a"resort" there would be surveillance as well as security keeping an eye on the parking lot every few minutes or so. We watched three young guys walk out of the exit, cellphones in hand and recording, deliberately ripping windshield wipers and side mirrors off of several cars (one of which was mine) as we yelled at them and made a quick exit to get downstairs as quickly as possible, as we got off the elevator we crossed paths with one of the security guards. We told him what happenned, a police report was filed (this all took until about 5am)and we went back to bed after asking for a late checkout so we could get some sleep. When I went to check out the next afternoon, I told the manager about what happened. He showed no empathy whatsoever, and offered nothing. I will be speaking to the general manager, but in the meantime I'm out the cost of my insurance deductible and the cost of a rental car while they repair my car. We didn't stay a second night. We got on kayak and found another hotel which didn't charge us a "resort fee". We had no problems whatsoever our second night in daytona beach, and the management was much more pleasant.
To much noise
The staff was amazing! Went put of their way to say hello everytime we saw someone, very attentive. We stayed an extra unplanned night because we were so impressed with their staff How expensive their drinks were. We spent more on drinks then we did on lunches and dinners
This was a great resort next to the boardwalk. You are in waking distance to the pier and food places. Once you park your car, no need to use it again until you leave! We will be back! It was just my fiancé and I, so the bar with all of the "buckets" were great! Clean, friendly staff!
The View was breathtaking I was quoted a price of $93 I was charged 200 I was charged a resort fee of $20 I did not know about not only that they listed the spa and sauna hot tub as Hotel amenities in fact they were not they were an additional charge if you use the spa how can you list them as Hotel amenities we wouldn't never go back
Nothing Where do I start with this place- The first room I was checked into was smelt so bad - The smell was like a pest control company just left before I got there and the carpet was still wet from being clean and it smelt of mold and must and bug spray . The bedding was stained and ripped . To make matters worse there was a drunk kid in the hallway sitting at the end near the room blasting his music . We asked for a different room and where given a different room the smell in the second room was a little better and also another drunk kid in the hallway on her phone sitting in the hallway . My partner and I decided at this point to find something to eat in the area and everything was closed . We decided to walk back to the hotel and see maybe if the bar or something was open in the hotel . We walked out side the hotel near the pool and that was a mess with beer cans and drunk people everywhere . At this point I called Kayak to complain about this and was able to get a refund when it finally hit us .. My partner had stayed at this very hotel on his spring break 31 years ago and the hotel had not changed in 31 years . This place need to do some major work and the staff is rude and need to be retrained . The staff lies to the customers about everything and the holding of funds on ur credit card . We where able to get all the money from Kayak but the funds from the hotel are still not refunded to the card and have called several times about this and get the run around this place is HORRIBLE and need to be put on HOTEL NIGHTMARES . we decided to head out daytona and head north and found a great hotel in Palm Coast .
Good location in terms of the beach In dire need of renovation. Awful rooms and staff are slow and inefficent at check-in
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was completely upgraded and clean. The amenities were very nice. Heated pool, it was December, salon, restaurant and outside tiki area. The outside of the hotel is not adequately being maintained. We had a street view and our window was so dirty we could barely see out of it and there was bird feces all over the ledge that had not been cleaned in some time. But still an excellent place to stay.
Cheap price Room is terrible, warming system is not working, mattress is very uncomfortable as well
The resort is directly on the water and is in the heart of Daytona Beach. We were able to walk to most of the local attractions and restaurants. Parts of the hotel were well decorated and maintained, especially the conference center wing and the lobby. Some of the food options at the bar side grill were very good and reasonably priced. My wife and I stayed at this resort for our wedding anniversary. We were very disappointed. Despite being let to believe by hotel staff that there would be some special anniversary accommodations, absolutely none were received. The hotel was very loud with spring breakers; we were woken up multiple times each night by the partying. Our entire floor reeked of marijuana and there were empty beer cans on the hall floors. The elevators did not seem to be functioning properly while we were there, for the wait times were unbelievably long. The breakfast buffet is nothing more than a cheap continental breakfast. We left the hotel every day for breakfast and dinner.

Location was great I wish they told me I couldn't get rewards points beforehand. And the cafe in the lobby was closed in the morning.

The food in the Bistro was very good and not priced as high as I thought it would be. Very reasonable. The bed was very comfortable. I was surprised that the morning coffee in the lobby was NOT complimentary and was nearly $3.00 for the cup. The drain in the bathtub was very slow.
Close to airport. AC Unit a bit loud.
The hotel itself is beautiful!! Yes the checking in young lady was not so pleasant and attentive.

It was clean and quiet. I wish breakfast on the weekend started before 7am.

The convenience of the the shuttle to take you Embry Riddle and shopping locations, the close proximity to the School and the do it yourself laundry for guest. Some nasty stained mattress,no microwave that was advertised
Bed was very comfy; Only 15 minutes from beach; Lots of food options within 2-3 miles Next to speedway and mall Located behind noisy Wing House; Parking hard to find close to room; A little rundown/outdated
The staff was friendly and efficient. Room was clean bed was comfy. The place is dated. Felt like 79s hotel that had been painted
The pool and hot tub facilities were great, we enjoyed the sun
Close to the track, And great rooms. Very nice cook out they put on for free.
Hated that the rooms were dirty, the room keys didn't work, and that nothing in the rooms worked!!!!
Had coffee made in office area. People fighting and arguing everyday and night. Mixing up my reservations twice. They never cleaned my room except changed towels and the bed sheets. There was dirt all over. Too many people that lived there and they all were parties. Walked by hotel rooms and smelt a strong marigana smell. Pool didn't look clean. Would never stay there again
Morning staff helpfull Tv did not work, they did nothing the first night to correct problem, just blew me off,eas not happy especiall with young child with me.
The Price/location right off the highway was great. The plumbing was awful. you use the restroom and it took all day for what was inside to go down. the bowl filled and stayed that way. the room smelled like bug spray and there were still roaches did not notice until the second night how bad when i killed 5 in 2 minutes. the staff did not know the area well when asked for delivery suggestions.
Nothing whatsoever Staff- rude & unhelpful, had sarcastic comments when I would come to get my room unlocked, daily. If they got off their butts even once, maybe they could have figured out why my lock was broken, but zero effort was made to remedy anything I asked for assistance with- i.e. the roach infestation, broken lock, broken AC (spewed water into room, & would intermittently quit working, we were either hot or wet every night). Facilities- locked out of room every time we left. Key card lock didn't function, had to repeatedly call maintenance, who said it needed replaced but then did nothing. Room- roaches were crawling on the walls, floors, & even on the beds while we slept. Informed staff, they said they already knew. No iron or ironing board in room, front desk has a single filthy iron you can borrow if you really want to destroy your clothes. Location- right next to busy highway, road noise was awful. Parking- lots of parking, but not close to our room. Dropped the family off near the room so they wouldn't have to walk across the dark parking lot full of random people loitering at 2 am. Security- 2 nights in a row had to notify security due to random people sitting in cars in front of room, booming their bass for hours on end, never saw them enter a room, possibly a drug deal? Security took close to 30 minutes to respond on night 2. Housekeeping- visited our room once in 5 days, didn't leave towels, had to track the cart down myself & get clean towels. Summary- would NEVER stay here again. Disgusting rooms, bugs falling off ceiling onto the bed while we slept, busted AC left us hot or wet, drug deals in parking lot in front of the room, housekeeping considers fresh towels or a quick tidy up beneath them, management refuses to listen to guests, much less make an effort to do anything. I can't stress this enough- DO NOT STAY HERE!
There was one helpful girl at the desk, she was new and I wish I would have caught her name Flat panel tv Room smelled like the AC hadn't been on in weeks The AC nobs were broken so it was almost impossible to turn the AC on There was rust and unpainted surfaces in the bathroom Tv looked like it was cleaned with windex They assigned someone my same room and they walked in on me. Toilet ran constantly and barely flushed Shower backed up into tub
Staff was helpful, even though they sent us to an already occupied room. Awful! Appearance was poor at best. Saw 2 roaches, beds were too soft. Carpets were stained and filthy, don't take your shoes off. Everything was dirty, i was afraid to touch anything. Shower had NO hot water. Shower water drained to parking lot where our soap suds were smelled. TV went out frequently. Way over priced. Expect the quality of a room for $29 that you see on the side of an old interstate off-ramp.
Great location with huge truck and trailer parking. It earned it's one star rating. Door lock had to be tried several times to open. Maid service was consistently bad. You name it and she did it wrong. Didn't make bed empty trash bring clean towels remove dirty towels it was something wrong every day
Nice clean room was greeted with respect n professional
pool was filthy. room stunk
There ws nothing particularly outstanding about the hotel. Just off the interstate, and a good 15-20 minute drive to the DT Beach. Internet was ok. Bathroom was ok. Room had a micro and fridge, which was great. Internet was fine for the most part. Would I stay here again, the short answer is. For the price I paid, it was satisfacory. Not too much. The internet was a little bit hit and miss, but good enough. I did get bitten on my hands by something, like flees or another insect (NOT bedbugs). The room had a weird smell to it.
Right on the beach, walking distance from pier and shops. Hotel restaurant and bar was convenient with good food and service! No free breakfast. But the breakfast at the restaurant was still nice!
The hotel was very convienient as far as it's situation, very easy to use. I feel that B/Fast should be included in the hotel rate
The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice and polite. Ordered room service a couple times always quick with delicious food. Although overall I enjoyed my experience at the hotel when I reserved the room a picture with a jacuzzi in the room appeared so I assumed there would be one in the room. This was just a minor thing that could easily have been overlooked just was kinda hoping for it on vacation.
When I checked in and went up to the room. The room looked clean but when I pulled my sheets back I had hair in the bed.The sheets hadn't been changed, I got the phone to call front desk only to find my phone in the room was not working. So I called from my cell phone and the front desk clerk said he will send the security officer up with new sheets and I had to make up the bed. When I complained to the front desk clerk he told me that it was nothing else he could do. This is the second time of going to a Hoilday INN Hotel Suites only to find my room not clean I will not be back.
Enjoyed the view of the water. The room was ok as well
It's just 2 blocks from the main strip and it's on the ocean. With great rooms overlooking the ocean. I will stay here again on my next visit. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Very clean and professional staff.
The staff was excellant. Room very comfortable and clean. There was not enough parking. We had to park on the street aong with other customers. Street was narrow. People were waling up and doen the street alll night. Didn't feel like our car was safe. Next nite we could got in the parking lot.
Breakfast was good. I liked the location. We had a leak in the bathroom the first 2 days. The only other room they had to put us in was as far away as possible. Also, I was told they would get us a small refrigerator if we asked. They didn't. The leak finally got so bad we were forced to move. The elevator on that end was out so it was a long haul for my mom who has RA and is 77 years old.
Location Clean Comfortable Staff at times a bit confused, specifically front desk
super receptionist location right in the middle of town
Upon attempting check-in the clerk would not take my name or look up my reservation to see if the room was ready. She also refused to call me if it became ready before the official time. I was rudely told to come back after 3pm. A few minutes later, I saw her check-in two other couples. Upon approaching another clerk, I was told my room was indeed ready. This was an extremely disappointing way to start out stay after traveling 22 hours.
