I liked the cleanliness of the place, the ease of walking to the beach, and I liked the modernization of the rooms. They didn't leave towels, the wifi didn't work half of the time, and they claim to have breakfast. What breakfast?
Location on the beach was excellent. The fire pit was a nice feature. Staff consistently appeared distressed to have to be of assistance when asked for simple requests e.g. the room key stopped working. The room was small & the mattress was uncomfortable with no box spring.
Nice beachfront locatiin, but not the newest hotel in ormond beach. Don't fall for the "breakfast included" line, this hotel serves the bare minimum of what you can call breakfast. Store muffins, yogurt, apples and orange juice/coffee. Most likely you will end up buying breakfast elaewhere.
The room furnishings were unique and beautiful. The room was exceptionally clean. The mattress was great. The location and view from the third floor were great. The television was first class. There are no elevators, so the upstairs rooms are definitely not for the average seniors. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. No smoking anywhere on the property.
Nick at the front desk was wonderful. He was very professional, friendly, informative and helpful. The Lotus is very lucky to have such a nice young man working for them.
First night got a poor, smokey room. asked for better, and got a very nice (Daytona area old motels are not perfect), clean room with oceanfront porch, 2 beds and hideabed, full kitchen, on a nice part of the beach, with a decent pool - not heated. I checked several other similar priced rooms on the strip, and this was our choice for $4 more than another possibility. We were off season, great rate, beach to ourselves pretty much. Close enough to Daytona stuff, but not the traffic and noise so much. Like most Daytona area hotels, there are dogs of a room, and decent ones. Suggest you look at the room first, or call and express your concern if booking online. Our first night in a "nonsmoking" room was one of the smokiest I have been in. Next night after looking first, got a great room. Nice manager - understanding and friendly.
Newly renovated and updated Only one sink for bathroom/ kitchen. A/C unit serviced only bed next to it and not bed the other side of wall separating the two beds.. No elevator to third floor. International receptionist caused language barriers to understanding concerns and wishes. Phone in room out of order. Shower did not drain properly.
Silence & price I don't know.
This was our first time staying here and we were impressed. Super clean and very updated. It was a lot more than we were expecting.
Pool/Spa area was incredible. Super friendly staff, quick and easy check in. Hotel & Room were extremely clean. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom in room looked brand new and was amazing. That we had to leave.
All rooms are beach front.perfect view and location ,,pretty good restaurant on property .,,beds are uncomfortable but for the price.,u cant beat it..me and my family would stay here again,,, Beds are uncomfortable,,needs updated
pretty darn clean. incredible view. spacious rooms friendly staff comfortable bed sit up in bed and enjoy the sunrise not all rooms have an oven as advertised. check out at 10A.M. small bugs in the room, but overall very clean surface of hot tub is very rough hotel restaurant only open like 4 hrs
It was affordable and on the water front but so was the holiday inn. For an extended stay this would be a fine place to stay. Nothing is included. You have to do a lot of the prep work for house keeping and they have an earlier checkout compared to every hotel I've stood at. They don't even provide coffee.
The location on the Daytona oceanfront can't be beat. We have stayed here every spring break for the past 5 years. I must say, it has gone downhill. Everything is just looking shabby. Our room smelled moldy. The staff were incredibly rude on several occasions. we paid a premium price for Motel 6 service. We'll be looking for different accommodations next year.
Staff was very friendly Hôtel need some repairs
The view and the facilities were worth it. Paying for parking, which was across the street... Very inconvenient.
Loved the location to the beach and the staff was awesome The window in our room was not sealed all the way, we had a view of literally only the roof, and the pool seemed small for a hotwl of that size. It was always packed.
The hotel is amazing and at a perfect view right on the Beach. It was an overall terrible experience, I had 2 nights and it was pricy but I was willing to pay some extra money to enjoy my vacation, the first night the room next to me had a party with a music that was so loud and when I complained, they changed my room and I had to pack my stuff and walk to the other tower for another room at 1:30 am, there was no security and rooms were packed with at least 5 or 6 teenagers and they were so noisy and again no security or someone who can ask them to lower the noise at least at night time, 2nd night had a false fire alarm and had to evacuate the whole hotel and that took about 3 hours to resolve, got back to my room at 1 am, that might be a bad luck so that won't be the case for everyone but once again the hotel had no kind of security or manager that take care of the guests and provide a quiet, relaxing time for their guests vacation.
I liked that everything was close to hotel. There was garbage in stairwells and so many homeless people hanging around.
Beach and buffet Construction
The hotel was nice, clean and the staff were all very helpful. The restaurants offered good food (especially Hyde Park) and the pool area was fun to hang out in. The beach access was excellent and we enjoyed the ease of leaving at night to go on walks down the beach front. We didn't stay in Daytona much as we travelled to St. Augustine and Coca Beach but the hotel is a good half way point for both places. The food and beverages are really expensive and if you just add them to your room expense instead of paying cash the cost will add up quickly! The rooms are clean but very basic and had a little wear and tear. No refrigerator in our room nor a trash can in the bathroom which is just strange not to have. The windows and walls are very thin so you hear all the noise from the Amusement park which is right next to the hotel if you stay on the south side of the hotel. Valet is always nice but for $22/night again can add up quickly but they were very fast in getting my car!
the rooms were spacious and nice. The check in lady was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay great. I would definitely recommend staying here nothing
Staff was friendly and helpful to an extent, the hidden fees were your surprise when checking out. All the add on fees are terrible!
ocean view was nice the room was small no refrigerator, no microwave, room was dusty and we had to enter from north tower when we stayed at the south tower. we had to have our vehicle parked across the street instead of at the hotel I understand there was storm damage from the hurricane but they could of told us the pool and spa were closed before we booked if we had known this in advance we would of stayed elsewhere. VERY DISPLEASED
Was a little displeased with not having a comforter on the bed.
The hotel is very nice and right on the beach. Swimming pool is heated but outside. I don't know about the rest of the hotel what room 104 was fantastic. it has a patio and access to the beach from your room.
To much noise
Good location in terms of the beach In dire need of renovation. Awful rooms and staff are slow and inefficent at check-in
The staff was amazing! Went put of their way to say hello everytime we saw someone, very attentive. We stayed an extra unplanned night because we were so impressed with their staff How expensive their drinks were. We spent more on drinks then we did on lunches and dinners
The resort is directly on the water and is in the heart of Daytona Beach. We were able to walk to most of the local attractions and restaurants. Parts of the hotel were well decorated and maintained, especially the conference center wing and the lobby. Some of the food options at the bar side grill were very good and reasonably priced. My wife and I stayed at this resort for our wedding anniversary. We were very disappointed. Despite being let to believe by hotel staff that there would be some special anniversary accommodations, absolutely none were received. The hotel was very loud with spring breakers; we were woken up multiple times each night by the partying. Our entire floor reeked of marijuana and there were empty beer cans on the hall floors. The elevators did not seem to be functioning properly while we were there, for the wait times were unbelievably long. The breakfast buffet is nothing more than a cheap continental breakfast. We left the hotel every day for breakfast and dinner.
Bathrooms extremely small
This was a great resort next to the boardwalk. You are in waking distance to the pier and food places. Once you park your car, no need to use it again until you leave! We will be back! It was just my fiancé and I, so the bar with all of the "buckets" were great! Clean, friendly staff!
Nothing Where do I start with this place- The first room I was checked into was smelt so bad - The smell was like a pest control company just left before I got there and the carpet was still wet from being clean and it smelt of mold and must and bug spray . The bedding was stained and ripped . To make matters worse there was a drunk kid in the hallway sitting at the end near the room blasting his music . We asked for a different room and where given a different room the smell in the second room was a little better and also another drunk kid in the hallway on her phone sitting in the hallway . My partner and I decided at this point to find something to eat in the area and everything was closed . We decided to walk back to the hotel and see maybe if the bar or something was open in the hotel . We walked out side the hotel near the pool and that was a mess with beer cans and drunk people everywhere . At this point I called Kayak to complain about this and was able to get a refund when it finally hit us .. My partner had stayed at this very hotel on his spring break 31 years ago and the hotel had not changed in 31 years . This place need to do some major work and the staff is rude and need to be retrained . The staff lies to the customers about everything and the holding of funds on ur credit card . We where able to get all the money from Kayak but the funds from the hotel are still not refunded to the card and have called several times about this and get the run around this place is HORRIBLE and need to be put on HOTEL NIGHTMARES . we decided to head out daytona and head north and found a great hotel in Palm Coast .
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was completely upgraded and clean. The amenities were very nice. Heated pool, it was December, salon, restaurant and outside tiki area. The outside of the hotel is not adequately being maintained. We had a street view and our window was so dirty we could barely see out of it and there was bird feces all over the ledge that had not been cleaned in some time. But still an excellent place to stay.
The View was breathtaking I was quoted a price of $93 I was charged 200 I was charged a resort fee of $20 I did not know about not only that they listed the spa and sauna hot tub as Hotel amenities in fact they were not they were an additional charge if you use the spa how can you list them as Hotel amenities we wouldn't never go back
Huge issues with elevators. Only 3 for the hotel and 1 was broken much of our stay. Unable to use elevators at all during check out due to back up. Had to load gear for 3 babies by using 3 floors worth of stairs. Beautiful hotel but elevator problems are a deal-breaker.

Great staff very clean no disappointment No it was very typical of motel on interstate
We didn't spend much time at the room .However, the beds were extremely comfortable and had plenty of pillows. I missed having a refridgerator or microwave! The rooms, lobby, breakfast area, and outside, were very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a great time!!
I can't pin-point just one thing I liked about our stay. Everything was great. We really liked their breakfasts. We stayed there last year, and will most likely stay there again next year. no
Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. The room couldn't have been cleaner or more comfortable.
good pillows. free wifi. the staff needs serious customer service training. No one seemed concerned with repeat business.
We were not there that long so we really couldn't say. The breakfast was so-so.
This hotel sucks staff sucks rooms suck and my door broke and when i requested it fixed they called the cops g
room was nice after being switched. location was good we had asked for a ocean front room when booked and we did not have one. they moved us to an ocean front room and it was dark, deary & in a in a back corner.we were told that is what Book-It paid for. Later they agreed to move us to a much better room
It's right on the beach. The price was really good for beach front. Hotel needs updated, cleaned, and some maintenance. Wife didn't like the hotel she had an uneasy feeling during our stay.
It was a great location, all the workers there were very friendly and helpful, right on the beach. It was an excellent value and a very good choice for spring breakers! It was a little old but it was better than what I expected for the price!
the ocean view the parking situation was horrible
The location is excellent that's it. The over all so called resort needs a major renovation. The towels were stained, looked filthy. No coffee maker. The continental breakfast was in room on top of lobby that was really plain and all the electrical cords were hazards. No eggs or meat only waffles made by staff, no food warmers only a microwave.
It was on the beach. The rooms were clean, but not nice. We stayed for the NASACR race and of course it was triple the price of a normal stay, I expected that. But this is just not a nice hotel. The staff were not friendly at all. The free breakfast was gross. I did not feel safe at this hotel.
Staff was nice. Location great. Bugs everywhere!! The room was filthy!! I almost called the health department.
Rooms were clean, staff was nice First off your check in/check out times are VERY SHADY!! I pay my hard earned money and cant check in till 4pm then if its one night I have to leave by 10 am? thats robbery! The Kiddie pool was filthy, absoluey no shade/shelter at kiddie pool which was VERY inconvient, little ones need a shade area. The lawn was horrible! The grass was dead and FULL of sandspurs, my two year old daughter fell right into a patch of sandspurs buy the steps! Every balcony has a wall of slime and a HUGE slimy puddle of water in the corner, which really irritated me, my daughter ALSO slipped in that disgusting mess! The place has plaster smeared to mend the holes in the outside roof everywhere, that was not very apealing especially to those of us that pay extra for balcony rooms. The floors in the rooms have no rugs, this is DANGEROUS, my two year old daughter ALSO slipped on the tile in the bathroom and the room. This is not a family place to stay, nothing for little ones but a nasty kiddie pool. Oh and the hot tub was a joke! I paid for two rooms, $145 each. I had a toddler, an infant and 4 teenagers ranging 15-18, I was not very pleased and will not stay here again. I stayed here last year, with my 16 yr old and I recall the same things I mentioned here but I didnt have little ones at that time with me so I didnt take much notice to the filthy kid pool, nasty slimy balcony, dead grass, stickers, slippery floors etc..and all the other things that are NOT suitable for toddlers....I feel like I did NOT get what I paid for.
Kitchen did not have pots or pans for cooking. Room was nasty, door would not lock. Sink area in bathroom was damaged. No privacy for changing in bath area. Bathroom to small to change in. Mattress was stained charged for safe did not even give key to. Charged for parking and did not even have enough parking spaces. Never would stay again See above notes. Did not like this motel at all. It was discusting
Comfortable rooms and large for the price we paid. Two double beds which means that four people could have slept in the same room. Sink was outside the room. Unusual but good configuration which offered flexibility of usage. Very friendly and helpful staff
Clean and comfortable rooms. Have had better breakfasts at other Sleep Inn Hotels.
well kept, quiet and staff friendly ! plus the three resturants right in front!! no microwave in room!
Easy access from highway.
Friendly staff, attractive, clean room with all that is needed, great for travellers, not fancy but just right.
Not a whole lot. Old run down facility that needs to be torn down. I kinda felt like it was for hookers to rent on an hourly basis. Carpet torn and damaged, kitchenette dirty, roaches included. No curtain on bathroom window, in bathtub so when showering you could be seen from street. Had a window air conditioner with no air tight seal, therefore the room was constantly hot and never cooled off. This was a hot 4th of July weekend. Had to buy a fan just to sleep.
Staff was phenomenal.
t he that worked there was very nice and professional no
The staff was so great and the beach access was incredible.
the hotel was in poor repair both inside and out, bed tipped everytime you got in, paint and plaster falling everywhere.
Was a very clean room. It was close to several resturants and shooing. Beach was nice close to a couple of ramps. The pool was salt water and there was no gym.
Staff was the best!
It was a clean and updated hotel The staff were all very friendly The breakfast was the best! Really comfortable rooms
location is perfect oceanfront view is great staff are friendly fridge and AC unit is a bit noisy
Everything. I had no issues. Room was comfortable and all staff were very friendly!!
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Hotel was beautiful and clean and well kept. Breakfast buffet was delicious. The hot tub was filled up with a bunch of dudes pretty much our whole stay. Not enough towels in the pool area.
the rooms were comfortable and the beach was beautiful price
A very nice hotel. Elevators are very slow.
Cleanliness, compact but efficient Nothing
Rooms were clean. TV good size and excellent cable. Parking a little distracting.
The staff is very friendly, the view is beautiful, the rooms are modern, I enjoyed my stayed. Everything was just perfect
COMING HOME DIDNT GET THE ROOM WE BOOKED. WHEN ASKED IF I COULD GET THE ROOM I BOOKED WAS JERKED AROUND. HAD TO SLEEP ON A PULL OUT THAT WAS HORRID FOR 6 DAYS.
Beach front Everything is falling apart. Beach bar staff unfriendly, no toothbrush provided by hotel, can't open windows that are dirty anyways...
Great location and really good pricing. Great room. Very pleased all around.
Close to the beach Facility was a bit run down and could use some repair/updating. Window was broken in room so it could not be locked. Bits of garbage and someone's pill left in the carpet.
Great location, service, whole nine yards. Older, like 99% of the hotels in Daytona, but very well maintained. Bed was awesome, room was nicely appointed. Service was great, definitely four star. Met some locals who had stopped in for the evening and they said this is the best one and where they stay if they move away and then come back to visit. Its a little far from the action if your a spring breaker and might be a little to uppity for that type of clientele. We got a good deal watching the prices so we are extremely satisfied. Restaurant looked nice but out of our budget. Locals said it was the valentine/birthday restaurant of choice. Did get their lunch poolside though and that was priced decent and was good. The grounds where well maintained and setup very nicely. Liked how they had a bridge over a busy road for the self parking lot. Outdoor gas fire pits where a nice touch for a quite evening by the Ocean. All in All was extremely pleased with our stay and would definitely stay again. Others mentioned parking costs and resort fee but we knew of those costs upfront and still the overall cost was competitive with other hotels on the beach. Towels seem to run out fast and there was a long delay for fresh ones. We had a partial ocean view with no balcony. This wasn't a problem until we go to open a window and they are screwed shut. Understand it could be a safety concern but wife was really disappointing we couldn't hear the ocean at night.
Ridiculous hidden fees, but that's not what ruined my stay. My wife and I checked in late at night and did not fall asleep until 2am. No problem though, right? I mean, checkout is at 11am so we can get our 8 hours and still checkout on time. Wrong. At 7:59am, we get a tapping on the door. We ignored it the first 3 times, but on the fourth I jumped out of bed and answered the door. A polite maid asked me if I was ready to checkout. I said "No, I'm sleeping. I thought 11am was checkout?" She said, "It is. Would you like to checkout now?" It almost seemed like a gag, but I wasn't laughing and neither was she. I shooed her away and immediately called the front desk. After being given the runaround about the manager being in a "business meeting" (really, at 8am?, the resort morning supervisor is in a meeting with who at 8am?) I was finally connected to a guy who sounded like he was talking to me at the gas pump. "What up man, what can I do for you?" I told him the story and he said "Yeah, it's just a courtesy checkout knock. No problem." No, Shores, it was a huge problem. I will never return.
The room was excellent and the ocean front view was awesome. Food quality can be better. The restaurant and food choices are not that great.
Had a geat stay! Staff was great moved to hptel from another hotel down street that was discusting The staff bent over backwards to get us right in our rooms so we could get ready for a 1:00 function we had to go to. Everything ws good rooms food bar pool and hot tub very inviting. Paying for self parking it was accross and elevator was out of order..
Hotel was very clean and loved the pool area and sitting out by the pool making sites each evening..... Restaurant was a bit too expensive and I didn't like that they charged an extra $10 Per day for parking when you were already a guest at the hotel....
After reading reviews, I was a little disappointed in how dated the actual rooms were. Loved the property, but I was surprised that the paint in the bathrooms, the vanity and side dressing area were in the condition they were in. The room itself was comfortable and the two complimentary bottles of water were nice. Outside of the hotel room, we loved the property. The pool and cabana area were wonderful. The staff was professional and polite. We will return just for those reasons!
The food was great, superb breakfast, gorgeous oceanfront area, nice clean pool, pretty room, gorgeous four post canopy king bed, very comfortable! I really enjoyed our stay! The dinner was a little pricey but still very good and great service!
Nothing! Everything seemed fine at check in but it all started going down hill as soon as our family found our room. The listing said the room was ocean front NOT ocean view, when standing on the balcony only about 25% of the view was ocean! Oh and while we were looking at the little bit of ocean we could see my three year old grabbed onto the railings and could fit his ENTIRE HEAD through the slots of the railings making the balcony unuseable for the whole trip!! The room itself was average which is fine but then we started to settle in and noticed piles of cords between the bed and night stand, extension cords plugged into extension cords, making it yet another hazard. So we went down to the beach, the water was a little colder than we liked so we went to the motels pool, where we found that it had no shallow end for our little one. It was getting close to nap so we headed to the lobby for some refreshments, the guy at the front desk offered to put it on our room tab, we gave him our room number and he said thanks have a good night, without even confirming we had given him the correct number. Back in our room I was ready to was the day away and the shower was probably the worse part of the whole stay... Right at my eye level there is a window in the shower covered in at least a dozen dead black bugs!!!
I liked how close we were to the beach and not that bad for the price. I wish it was a better view and that our room was the way we asked. We asked for one bed on a high floor and they gave us two beds. When we spoke to the staff they said they could "upgrade" us to a king bed on a lower floor but "it would be best if we stayed where we are for the better view." Not the best for our first trip away.
Only complaint was our fridge in the room wasn't working well, it wouldn't get cold, but other than that nice place to stay.
I love the beach access and the pool. To much noise outside my door the first night but can hear the beach the other nights. No breakfast, game room or good TV channels.
Location, price and fact that it was pet friendly
Clean comfortable room with a great view and cold A/C. Would be nice to have more channels on the tv.
Nice clean room with friendly staff. Everything was great. Location was wonderful.
Staff was nice and helpful. Room was very clean and well appointed if slightly cramped. Complimentary breakfast was fine. Overall it is a basic 2 star traveler hotel. Served its purpose for a one night stay. No ironing board but there was an iron. No closet but a rack on the wall with hangers. No protein (eggs, bacon, ham, etc) with complimentary breakfast.
Check in people were nice. Dirty place. Broken bed. Dirty sheets first night. Left a note and $5 asking for clean sheets. A/C leaking entire time in lobby. Had garbage cans collecting the water. Toilet ran entire time. Grease came out of the shower. I went to Walmart and bought Lysol and bathroom cleaner for shower head and all surfaces. Never, never will go to a Baymont hotel. I seriously question whether or not I'll stay at a Wyndham property again.
Enjoyed our stay for two days...everything was clean....the continental breakfast was great...and the staff very hospitable...thanks for the great stay...we'll be back...wish you had a hot tub...:-)
Staff was friendly. Multiple room keys did not work (others had similar problems). Leak in lobby. Breakfast was not very good - crock-pot of sausage and gravy for dry biscuits.
Convenient location to Daytona Beach with lots of restaurants nearby on SR-40. Very good water pressure (for shower). Staff was nice, and very friendly. Breakfast offered poor choices compared to similar hotels. Bathroom (tub area) could have been cleaner.
The staff is exceptionally friendly. The rooms and common areas are clean. The bathroom needed a little attention.
Everything except the stinky pillows was OK. Stinky pillows. Somebody in the laundry smokes. The room smelled of smoke. Price was high for this kind of a room.
love traveling with our pet, very pet friendly
I liked that it was clean. That is my number one priority when I stay anywhere. The facilities were good also.
Great stay. Very clean and friendly. No rails to hold onto in shower. Amenities lacking.. like tissues
Staff was very courteous.
Location My room wasn't clean .someone else personal stuff was still in the room I was given.
We were originally put in a pool side room because the parking lot on the other side was being redone and the staff had concerns over noise. We were appreciative and understanding about the parking situation and immediately crashed for the night since we got in close to 2AM. The next day we enjoyed the pool with family who were also staying there. The following day, we woke up to the pool being drained. There were signs that indicated we could use other hotel's pools, but that barely seemed tempting since I prefer to be able to walk to the pool in my suit and then go right back to my room when done. I immediately checked to see if we had been given prior notice of the closure when I booked the room, since that might have changed our hotel decision. I only found one note that explained that the pool would be closed for maintenance but that it would be complete ONE MONTH before our arrival. I asked the front desk why there was a change, how long the pool would be closed, why we were not informed that the maintenance changed and actually impacted our stay. Long story short, all I got in return was again pointing out that I could use a different hotel's pool. I left feeling like I was paying for an amenity that I could not use and there was no apology for the inconvenience or lack of communication. I don't understand why we were put on one side of the hotel to avoid one partial night of construction (really it ended up just being painting the next morning) and were put on a side of the hotel to witness (and hear... the pump draining the pool woke us up) for the next 3 days of our stay.
Very friendly and helpful staff. One of the most bike friendly places I have stayed. Close enough to Main Street but far enough away to enjoy some quiet. I cannot think of anything to complain about Just a really good place to stay
Has a decent restaurant, pool, beach chairs by the beach. Close to beach for good price
Rooms were clean, available when we checked in, close to everything. Tiki Bartender Benson was awsom! Seperate parking for trailers and bikes. If it weren;t for the price I would stay in March for Bike Week. Stayed at this hotel a month eariler and paid $60 less. I hate the price gouging during events.
On the beach, size of the room, close to everything Bathroom was small, elevator problems
Rooms were clean. Employees were very nice and helpful. Your on the ocean ,there's a huge pool ( salt water ). There is a restaurant , indoor bar and tiki bar at the pool. There is also a 7-11 across the street.
From the moment we checked in we were treated like royalty. So genuinely friendly. The included full breakfast is awesome as we're the ribs in the attached restaurant. Book Now!!! Total positive. I didn't like leaving.
Overall nice stay. Did see a roach one morning in the bathroom. Otherwise good service. Nice staff. Clean heated pool. Nice waterfront and easy access to beach. Good happy hour. Neal at their restaurant, Traders, was awesome! Make sure you see Neal. Good food, had loaded fries and the ribeye and both were good. Just the roach sighting in our bathroom one morning
