9.2 Excellent
Pros: Grand interior, sea views and old worldy feel.
Cons: Shower was a little weak.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a beutiful old country house. It's warm, comfortable and very clean with good food and local beers. Great views (of the Dwyfor River estuary and the Cardigan Bay/Cambrian coast) and superb walks - various routs to Criccieth, the woodsalong the river in Llanystumdwy and close to many other locations. But it's the staff (all of them) made the stay what it was - fantastic! Thanks to Dylan and his colleagues.
Cons: Wifi - it was a bit of pot-luck. It came and went with the tide of the sea and there is very little 4G (or for that, 3G, 2G or even "G") mobile network. But you know, that is not necessarily a bad thing - some peace and quiet is a valuable commodity! Oh, and the wine by the glass selection could be improved upon!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Super king sized bed.very comfy.
Cons: No basket attached to either glass or wall in shower to hold shampoo etc.Not easy for older people to bend down to floor to retrieve soap shampoo etc.A particular bug bear as I have a bad back!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stay in the George because it central to the area that we like and we can visit places that appeal to us. It is also an extremely welcoming venue with attentive and friendly staff. We especially enjoy the breakfasts, which are varied and satisfying, and very good value if taken with the room price. Evening meals are good value, and the service is always very quick. The kitchen must be very well organised! Overall I recommend the George to anyone, but probably mostly to more mature couples or groups. We will definitely be staying again, value for money is excellent.
Cons: We do not really need the evening entertainment, but understand many do enjoy it. Otherwise we could not fault anything.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very efficient and the breakfasts are always enjoyable. We love the location of this hotel with its car park across the road. Rail station very close for day trips down the coast.
Cons: The bedroom was too hot and we couldn't do anything about it. Open windows made no difference and that meant we had the noise of a fan or duct all through the night.

4.0 Okay
Cons: I have traveled with my wife and three kids (13,10,8) from London to North Wales having a long journey ahead. From my experience I knew what the kitchen can be closed late in the evening therefore we phoned the reception of Royal Goat Hotel to have some advice on that. We there strongly recommended by the receptionist to stop somewhere on the way to have evening meal and have been advised what there are going no issues with late check in and our room's are 17-18. I was told what we will find two envelopes on the reception desk for two separate rooms with a keys in it. We have arrived around ten o'clock in the evening and we couldn't find any envelopes ready for us in reception or anyone to speak to. Instead on the reception desk we have found letter with emergency number and the phone next to it. We have tried many times to ring the emergency number but there no answer. With out the other option left after an hour I have decided to collect the rooms keys my self from the wall which there was hanging behind the reception. We knew the room numbers from our earlier conversation with reception and I took them also we have left a short massage on the note book of the situation had happened. The rooms was clean but one of the rooms didn't had a hot water and the heating wasn't working is well. The extra bed wasn't prepared too therefore one of us had to sleep on the floor. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast but no one from the reception even tried to contact us or just to say simple sorry. We feel let down by the management and forgotten !
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast. Helpfull young lad who seem to do everything.
Cons: When we got there they had no recollection of our booking, no beers, limited menu for evening meal, bucket on floor in main bar area due to leaking ceiling and shortage of staff.

Pros: Nice hotel in nice surroundings. Good food in the restaurant and for breakfast
Cons: The hotel was closing the week after our stay for renovations- so it was a bit tired when we were there. Lots to like once renovations are completed
