Pros: We had a pleasant check in and out experience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to have our meals, and the best scenic route to take while driving through Snowdonia National Park. (We recommend going to The Australia for good food!). We had one single room, and a large twin room and both rooms were super warm and cozy. The single room had all the necessarily amenities even though it was pretty small but it was definitely sufficient for one person. The large double room had a lot of space and my family members were definitely happy with it. Breakfast was splendid with a lot of cereal and nut options! The cooked breakfast was delicious as well. The location was great, within walking distance of a large Tesco and the high street. There were also ample parking in the carpark. We absolutely loved our stay here ☺️

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good size room, and fantastic sitting room. Breakfast was just right. Hostess offered some great knowledge of surrounding areas, along with some easy to follow maps and guide notes.
Cons: Shower setup difficult to to use as someone over 6ft.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is ideal and it helped us by having suitable parking. The room had everything that we needed and it was very well cleaned. The quality of food the at breakfast is great. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it with the caveat that this is most definitely a guest house.
Cons: The positives outweigh our little gripe. First day absolutely no issue as to where we sat for breakfast given no-one there to greet we clearly assumed that you sit where you want. Second morning again no-one to greet and only two tables occupied, one sandwiched between them unoccupied but wouldn't have sat there given close proximity to other couples. Waitress told us loudly in front of the other guests we were sat in the wrong place. We responded that we didn't know it was allocated tables, yes they are said she. Funny, it said number 10 on it... This wasn't even our room. From our part we honestly couldn't see the fuss about where we'd sat and as paying guests certainly don't expect to be spoken to like that. Unfortunately though this was our first time in a guest house as we like the anominity of hotels. We'd discussed the day before how maybe we'd try guest houses again in future but changed our mind at this point. There was absolutely no need for her to have addressed us in such a manner irrespective of her subsequent pleasantries.

Everything had been carefully thought out and well explained so we could really relax and enjoy their hospitality. Julie’s deep local knowledge and advice helped us visit lovely places off the beaten track. A really lovely visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Glyn y Coed was in an excellent location- close to the shops, with views of the castle and beach. The room was spotlessly clean and staff very helpful. In addition to the delicious cooked breakfast there was freshly squeezed orange juice, various yogurts, a good range of cereals and great variety of fruits. Easily as good as in 4* hotel we’ve ever visited.

Bron Eifion Country House Hotel - Criccieth - Bedroom
9
8.6 Excellent (172 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really appreciated the warm welcome on arrival and throughout my stay the exceptional attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble and the customer service was outstanding. Lovely lounge and guest areas with open fires with relaxing background music. The room was excellent, lovely furnishings, sea and garden views, quiet and the most comfortable I have slept in for a while. Thank you to Mary the owner and Finley on reception for making my experience so great! Even printing off maps to my destination and to get me home when I had to change my route because of the poor weather. Thoroughly recommend and hope to stay here again.

7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable room and food as good as usual - just wish they supplied Marmite!
Cons: Didn't get the paper we ordered.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a beutiful old country house. It's warm, comfortable and very clean with good food and local beers. Great views (of the Dwyfor River estuary and the Cardigan Bay/Cambrian coast) and superb walks - various routs to Criccieth, the woodsalong the river in Llanystumdwy and close to many other locations. But it's the staff (all of them) made the stay what it was - fantastic! Thanks to Dylan and his colleagues.
Cons: Wifi - it was a bit of pot-luck. It came and went with the tide of the sea and there is very little 4G (or for that, 3G, 2G or even "G") mobile network. But you know, that is not necessarily a bad thing - some peace and quiet is a valuable commodity! Oh, and the wine by the glass selection could be improved upon!!
