Cons:
We could not rent a car from Hertz because we had temporary enhanced CDLs from WA state that were in paper form. WA confiscated our old plastic CDLs and left us with only paper ones. Hertz in CA doesn't consider that suitable for renting a car unless we have an accompanying plastic state ID or passport. Even though we were assured by the state of WA that our temporaries would be sufficient for everything we need short of crossing the US border. The gal at Hertz wouldn't budge and we had to make several expensive Uber trips to get around that day. We lost a LOT of money and valuable time due to this setback. Next time we will just rent an uncomfortable pickup truck from U-Haul. That way we won't have to put up with rental agency corporate BS.2.0 Poor

It was inexpensive and pick up/drop off was within walking distance of my home.Cons:
Homeboy at Enterprise told me third party insurance, which I bought through Kayak, would'nt be recognized through Enterprise if anything happened to the vehicle. He told me I should cancel the third party insurance and proceeded to give me options they offered. I told him, "Nah, I'll pass." and went on my way.Avis

They tell you their insurance is $42 vs Kayak's $72. The difference is Avis is per day, that you need to read the small print to know, and Kayak is per week. The only thing they tell you it's only $42 never the total. So, if you can't read the small print you are screwed.6.8 Okay

Front windows has small "star" cracked (hit by rock) as we were driving the crack expended to 3 inch or more...Unable to drive comfortably with family during our children's school visit up north to Bay Area. Was given a 10% off when we returned the cracked front windows rental car. Plus promise to fix the problem asap.NU Car

Very slow check in. Needed more employees at the counter No coordination with insurance purchased online - they could not find my policy number which added to the check out time. Car was obviously a smoker's car that they tried to cover up with deodorizer. Wasn't effective, car was unpleasant. After 5 days, they still have not refunded my deposit. The car they gave us started to sputter with check engine light on within first 10 miles. Had to stop at a gas station and wait nearly an hour for them to bring us a new car. 2nd car worked without issue.2.0 Poor

The car was dirty inside when I picked it up. On the first day of my rental the oil change light came on. It was also advertised as unlimited miles in 3 different places including my confirmation email. However, I was told I only had 150 miles a day when I picked it up. The manager at the chino hills location for Avis was a big help. Otherwise the service was horrible and I will never use Avis again. I will use them as an example of bait and switch.Cons:
Almost everything. Avis is horrible. Thanks to Kayak for providing a good option. I would not take the insurance again as it does not cover the entire replacement cost of the vehicle. Lesson learned to take your insirance option. Slick marketing though.10.0 Wonderful

Cons:
The Dodge Grand Caravan was not Bluetooth equipped, so that was a challenge. Other than that it was an excellent vehicle, spacious and comfortable and traveled the distance well.Advance Van Rental
