Worst experience ever. I had my reservation for a double room. Marriott staff called to cancel on the day of my reservation.
I had no issues with my stay at the Marriott in salinas. The staff was very friendly, my room was clean and well put together. The spa was amazing and the pool was clean. No issues at all. I'm very happy with my experience here.
The staff were all very professional and helpful. Room was clean with basic amenities in bathroom. Breakfast choices were good with protein offerings and not just carbohydrates. We have stayed here before and continue to find It is impossible to read the directory for the television, it is printed in a tiny font that defies even the most acute eye exam. We understand the need to conserve paper but this is ridiculous. Understand that this is an issue with Direct TV and the Corporate offices, they need to enlarge the room TV channel directories!
Generally nice and clean with good breakfast buffet. Check-out was at 12 noon so great for sleeping late, except you could not close the curtains completely (dark ones) and the California sunlight made it too bright for sleep.
I liked the outdoor area. There is a large pool, hot tub, games, and communal fire pit that was a lot of fun. I really dislike the bed covers. You are either way too hot or freezing. What happened to old-fashioned blankets?
Everyone from the front desk staff, the servers and bartenders, and the housekeepers did an amazing job. I work in the service industry in a casino/resort, and yet I experienced better service and a better experience with the staff at the Hyatt than where I work. A+++. The only things I didn't like had nothing to do with the hotel and its staff. It isn't located downtown, so it is a very short trek to the festivities in town. Also, it sounded like a large man was doing burpees in the room above us.
There was very little water pressure from the shower. Also the heater thermostat did not work. We set it at 80 we were freezing and went to bed, when we woke up the heater never kicked on but the ceiling fan did? So weird
Very nice grounds. Facility and staff were very nice. Rooms look nice but not very functional. Modern hand shower makes a mess and not easy to use. Indoor free standing A.C. unit is needed but is as loud as a train. Closet door won't stay shut. Ceiling fan wobbles and makes noise. Soda machines were down. Stupid small things that could be easily fixed.
My wife and I live on east coast and celebrated our 25th anniversary in California. We stayed at a Hyatt in 3 out of the 4 cities we spent time in. We started with the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco for 4 nights which was fantastic! We then stayed here at the Hyatt Regency in Monterey which was not what we expected. We upgraded to a room facing the golf course. The view decent. The staff were very friendly. The location is good if you're a golfer. Otherwise, I would rather be closer to the beach. My primary complaint was the lack of central AC. I don't know if all rooms are setup this way but our room had a portable air conditioner. It does the job to cool the room but it is extremely loud and the compressor kicked on and off all night. If you can sleep in 72 degrees, you won't have a problem. If you are like my wife and I and like it 67-69 degrees, you may want to consider another hotel. It has a huge impact on a good night's sleep which is the main purpose for renting a hotel in the first place.
We enjoyed the recently updated rooms including the very nice bathroom with vanity and open shower. We enjoyed very tasty room service meals (dinner and breakfast). We also used the pool which was pleasantly warm. The toilet was a bit of a tight fit with walls on either side. The air conditioner was a standing machine which had an exhaust that was separated form the back and until we reattached it poured hot exhaust over the air-conditioning.

Checking in was not only expedient but flawless. Had no issues at all, was in my room within 10 minutes of pulling up to the front door. Room was excellent and I do suggest the pool view.

Very nice decor in room and everywhere. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice view of Monterey Bay from lobby and lower level lounge. WI-FI is free and works well. Expensive! Breakfast not included, 10% extra tax, and $25 extra for 2 queen beds instead of the default 1 king size bed. Only one night table. Parking is valet only, front bumper came back with a dent. I prefer to self-park. Getting my car back took 10 to 30 minutes. Driver expects to get a tip each time. There is a spa but it is not free. Someone placed a couple of calls from our room, I had to prove they were not mine.
The Plaza is a beautiful hotel with great rooms. The location is perfect also, walking distance to lots of food and shopping.

Very nice hotel. Montery is a expensive place to stay but this hotel has a nice swimming pool to compensate the price. For the price i think the rooms should have a fridge. Also no breakfast for this price. Parking was not 15usd but 17usd.

I had two separate reservations because we decided to come a day earlier. The check in person down graded my room without telling me or reducing the room rate! I thought this was outrageous.

We loved the location, walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf. Beautiful hotel. We ate breakfast at the buffet one morning, omelets cooked to order, could also get waffles, pancakes, or french toast cooked to order, delicious.

You can't beat the location- just a block away from the Monterrey Bay Aquarium and right on Cannery Row. Staff was all very nice and the facilities were top notch. The restaurant was not pricey and not very good. This is a small complaint, as the view was outstanding and there are plenty of better places to eat within easy walking distance. Would have been nice if wifi was included with room.

Friendly staff I thought booking a hotel right next to the water that I could be hearing waves in the tranquility of the evening. Instead I hear cars and foot traffic because our room is all the way back and faces the garage. This hotel was almost three times the cost of any equivalent hotel if it wasn't next to the waves I didn't get to hear.
This was a great location within walking distance of phenomenal dining and wine tasting rooms. Room was exceptional, the service excellent and the spa personnel accommodating. First deep tissue massage I ever tapped out for a slightly lesser pressure. We will return over and over again. You have to stay here when in Monterrey! Nothing

Liked how we could purchase 2 day aquarium tickets for the same price. That was very convenient. I didn't need a mini bar in he room. But would of liked a microwave and mini fridge.

Lovely location right in the heart of Cannery Row and on the waterfront. This is not an inexpensive hotel but let's face it this is an InterContinental brand not a Motel 6. If you want to splurge this is a good choice however if you don't need a waterfront view and stay in the connected bldg. across the street you can get a room with a fireplace for less. I found this hotel to be relaxing and the staff helpful. Even without a waterfront room they have a large deck area looking out into Monterey Bay where you can sit in front of a fire pit with your friends or by yourself and sip your favorite beverage and enjoy the view and some down time from busy Cannery Row.
It was so clean!! New mattress. Clean, soft sheets. Plenty of pillows. Bathroom area was large enough for woman with lots if make up and hair stuff. Hot water forever. Nice new tv. Great free breakfast with really good French toast. Just families and couples so there was no drama at all. Very very safe. For around $100. A night for a Kung bed I was very impressed and I tried most of the hotels around salinas- the safe ones at least- and this was by far the best!! The manager was rude and snotty. All the other staff was very nice but she had a attitude that ruined a perfect environment. Too bad.
We've stayed at the Laurel in once or twice a year for a few years and thought it was a really good bargain. Will you just stay there again and it seems like even more of a bargain now as the rooms seem clear, there's no flatscreen TVs set of the old ones, and the food in the breakfast bar is much much better with the addition of sausage and eggs and a very nice woman who makes everyone feel welcome at breakfast It was all good but was also nice to have rules that were far away from the freeway; some rooms are kind of close but actually they were soundproof Jennifer not to be too big of an issue. The heater was quite noisy but certainly heated up the room and then we just turn it off for the night. Really everything was pretty comfortable and it was possible to forget that this was a bargain motel because it felt just like a really great motel

Decent value, clean accomodations. Came up to play golf and have reasonably a priced stay since I wasn't going to be in the room much. Laurel Inn fit the bill. Rooms need to be updated. Old tube TVs! Mattresses, bedding are old.

Laurel Inn in Salinas is conveniently located just off Hwy 101, about 2 miles from downtown. Rooms are basic but clean, with decent TV, small work table, small fridge. Continental breakfast is fine, although some protein options would be nice. However, there is a Black Bear diner just across the parking lot, plus other restaurants and basic shopping options across the freeway (west) or over on Main Street (about a mile east). There is a small pool, although Salinas tends to be cool. Depending on room location, there can be traffic noise, but not too bad. Staff are friendly, and the price is right. Wish the breakfast options were a little better, but there are pastries, fruits, cereal, yoghurt and typical drinks. More substantial options at the local diner or other restaurants. Can be noisy if on the street side. Nothing fancy, but a reasonable place to stay.

It was a clean, no frills kind of place. I traveled in September and the rate was $113/night which was a bit high but of better quality than lower cost places. It is very close to freeway access without being close to the freeway noise. The mattress and pillows were clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was clean, and the selection decent. The staff were consistently very friendly and helpful. The television was a bit outdated (30" CRT) and the picture was a little dark. I moved from a two queen bed room, which apparently wasn't used much and worth the rate, to a single queen room which was clearly used more and not so much worth the rate. The coffee in the breakfast area was terrible. Only on the last day, when I decided not to have the room maid service, did the front desk complain to me about this. Not sure why, as the room had been serviced the day before, and the maid was very friendly about it when I told her.
The location was ideal. It was a sad time as the family was in town to attend a funeral. The room needed a microwave and an iron and ironing board. I assumed incorrectly they were in all the rooms.
It was too pricey. The toilet didn't function properly - maintenance came to fix - still didn't work. Didn't move us to different room. The internet didn't work properly either. It has NO microwave.
The grounds are very unique and allow for areas to relax outside. It is also close to Fisherman's Warf and the downtown area. I didn't like the fact that I kept finding items left by the previous guest in to room (i.e. wrappers, tags, debris, etc.). For what was charged, I would have expected more for breakfast. A Holiday Inn Express has a more comprehensive breakfast.
my boyfriend and i loved the shower.. water got hot really fast and amazing water pressure. Our room was a lot larger than we had anticipated, which was great. It almost felt like a tiny home during our 4 night stay. We also loved how close it was to the downtown area and lots of good restaurants. Only 1 mile from the aquarium, we walked there and back. overall had a wonderful time at this hotel, we even stayed an extra night. I didn't like the continental breakfast. the first morning was ok, bagels muffins and fruit with coffee and juice was nice. But by the second morning i was over it. More variety would have been nice for the price per night at the hotel.
We were pleasantly surprised with the gorgeous room that featured high vaulted wooden cross-hatched ceilings, a romantic fireplace and balcony, two showers, a comfy couch with huge wall mounted tv, and a cute little kitchenette/dining area. It was super close to the wharf which is a huge plus. They charged me for the bottle of water I took in the fridge so be careful. It's a trap!
booked the suite and hence was quite spacious for a family of three. breakfast was continental but had some hot stuff like oatmeals and was ok to take back to room and eat with the family. Parking was extra which was not revealed till we checked in. a stiff $20 per day per car. which given other hotels were not charging, felt like nickel and diming

Rooms are very warm, inviting, and comfortable. Would appreciate it if you would install a Tesla charger (electric car) in your garage during your renovations. Tesla will give the wall charger to you upon request, you just have to install.

It was pretty spacious and the front desk girl was really nice. Room wasn't the cleanest, and the walls were really thin, you could hear everything going on next door.

Most rooms have 2 comfortable queen beds. Hard to find. Made a reunion of old friends very comfortable. In room Starbucks coffee was quite good. Far better coffee than at most hotels for those of us who need a good cup as soon as we awake. Selection of snacks was limited to small vending machine size without many healthy selections. Would like to see healthy and larger sized chips, etc sold in larger sized bags on premise.

Clean room, safe door, beach access. No pool or jacuzzi as advertised! Construction all over the place! They NEED to lower their prices until they get all the construction done. I wouldn't go their again just because they charge extreme prices and a "resort" fee for something that doesn't exist! Obviously not a place you can trust since they are still charging the same fee while they have ongoing construction that makes it impossible to use the facilities they advertise. Room was clean, comfortable bed, but our "garden view" room literally looked down into boards, saws, tools and half done empty pool. Beach access is really the only reason to go here until they finish their "resort".
Even with a nice veneer, the age of this once run down motel is starting to show through again. Small rooms and an odor from the sewer system. You get what you pay for. Service, usually good, was halting on this visit.
Location is the best in Monterey. Staff is helpful and courteous. They should put foldable beach chairs on the balconies to enjoy the view even more.

The hotel is clean. The hotel is the only hotel right off the state beach in that area (which is a short drive outside the downtown area of Monterey). It was nice to be able to walk from my room onto a beach. It is way over priced. In addition to the already expensive room price $$$, we were charged an additional mandatory "Resort Fee" of $25/night for the pool, gym, and Internet. In other hotels I've stayed at these are included in the price, not an additional fee. Also, the staff (specifically the front desk staff) were not as nice as you would expect of a "Resort". When we checked in the staff didn't welcome us or anything. She just wanted our reservation & credit card. When we asked questions, she seemed annoyed like we were holding her up from more important things. I felt more like cattle than a guest. Overall, for the price I paid I could of gotten a room in Monterey Bay, close to a Beach in Monterey which in my option has a better view of the water.
I liked that it was near the water. Most of the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The view from my room was amazing. The bed was comfortable. There was construction going on while I was there that was a bit disruptive. The pool and Jacuzzi were closed. They put me under the conference rooms and they got pretty loud during my stay. The fees were higher than stated in my original agreement plus they tax the fees and everything else.
When we first got there the view was stunning. The beach was right there and there were public access points to it, making access to the beach easy. Our room was an ocean view. It had a great feature for windows where there was an automatic screen that could go over it for privacy. The staff were friendly and the room as a whole was very clean and comfy. The place felt like luxury and we thought it would be a lot more for the price. Would definitely recommended it. The only problem I noticed was the door stuck a little bit. It was hard for me to open my door to the room. You had to push hard to open it. It also would not close unless you slammed it. That was the only problem I noticed, and I'm surenot eevery door is like that.

Front desk staff was very rude. The hotel is cramped, unattractive and right next to a very loud highway. The room smelled like every guest ever had spent all their time chain smoking. On top of all that it was way overpriced.
Proximity to Monterey and price was reasonable. Crib fee was not disclosed prior to check-in date. Lied to by staff on check-in date about crib availability after speaking to someone 7 minutes earlier who had said it was available. Also, my son was lied to during our stay about restroom availability.

Really everything was quite nice. The bed was comfortable (firm mattress), the room was clean, the food was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The first night we got there, the room we were given had a roof leak and despite having full capacity that night, they were able to put us in another room immediately. The walls were quite thin so we could hear the conversation and the tv next door.

Easy to find location. About a mile or two to downtown and old town. Security guards are professional and works all night. Low prices. The new LG washer and dryer are good with pleasing result. There is a swimming pool. Lots of parking space. Hot coffee and hot coffee flavoured drinking water is available in the check-in office from 6am to noon, but closed after that. Closest fast food shop and gas stations are to the south about half a mile. It's on Work Street which is busy with big trucks. If you are on the west side of the hotel it is very noisy. I was on that side in Room 333 and it was noisy since 7AM. I switched to Room 124 facing south parking lot and it became much quieter. No fridge in room or office.. TV doesn't has channels in san francisco san jose area. The worst was the wifi internet. They charge about $4/day. When I needed it and try to pay through the sign on page and could not get past a "incorrect customer code".on that page. It didn't say which line was incorrect. So I had to rely on my T-Mobile phone and the Tmobile signal has only two bars..... If you are to visit Monterey it is about 20 miles west on highway 68 then highway 1. Kind of hard to walk around.

Coffee in Lobby Bed to sleep in Noise. Room 323 was noisy most of the time. Sounded like one of those wood chipper machines until later in the afternoon. Toilet hardware came undone. Discovered that the shut off valve leaks unless it is in the full open position...feet got wet. Fixed the issue myself and opened the valve to stop water leak. The first staff member I encountered at the front desk did not seem very friendly. The day of check out the new staff member was much better.
Price & freeway access
The room is what I expected for the price. Everything worked and the room was clean enough. We were gone most of the day so we only were in the room to sleep. Our room faced a busy street and traffic noise was easy to hear, but when the a/c was on it covered the noise enough to sleep.
The price and location are fine and near the coast I stayed for 3 nights. The staff failed to clean the room or make up the beds any of the days we were there. The hotel staff was contacted but still not done. Very, very poor service and simply unacceptable for any hotel/motel chain.

Bed was comfortable Very dirty. The shower was covered in hair. There were horrible carpet stains. I felt like taking a shower after my stay there....sure didn't want to use the one in my room! The hotel charges a $100 deposit which isn't returned to your account for as long as a week. They offer no receipt for your deposit. This place should be avoided if at all possible.
The staff was great and the room was sufficient for our needs. It's a great bargain. The wifi was fine, especially considering it was free. The motel is right off the 101 freeway and shares the parking area with Starbucks and a nice, more expensive motel. I was very pleased with my experience and would definitely stay again when in the area. I would bring my own shampoo and soap next time. In fact, just bring all of your own toiletries, pillows, comforter, and an ice chest. The motel offers soap and shampoo, but they are small. They do the job, but if you want something fancy, bring your own. It was comfortable, but I would have liked a fluffy comforter and soft towels. I missed having a microwave and refrigerator that you usually get in a more expensive place. Did I want to pay over $100 for these comforts? No. We paid $41 for each night. It was a great price. Just bring your own comfy items and you will have a great experience for an incredibly low price.
I was looking for the best hotel for the most reasonable price that accepted dogs. This was the one that I found using Hotels.com and Yelp and other resources. They honored my reservation made late last year and I was able to bring my dog. That was really great. The rooms were very nice, very clean. It was an excellent value for the money. Some people complained about the noise but I did not notice any problems with that. Staff was very nice and allowed me to keep my trailer parked in the lot while my boat was on the water. That allowed me flexibility during my visit. The front parking lot was very tight and very full. The back lot was not accessible due to construction but I assume that would free help once construction ceased. They no longer accept dogs. I would go back again if they allowed dogs still. In fact, it would be the only place I would go while staying there. The fridge is a little small but many food options were nearby so storing food is not really highly necessary.
Pool, hot tub I paid $200 for basically a motel with a cuter looking front. The place seems like it needs a fix up and not just cosmetic. I've NEVER stayed in a hotel with no a/c..you should at least advertise that there's no a/c. We heard every footstep of the guests above us. I'd never stay again
We often stay in Monterey and we very much like this place. It's location is great if you don't mind walking a little, and the rooms are nice, clean and well-equipped. The amenities are small -- workout room, pool, etc... but when in Monterey there isn't a reason to stay at the hotel anyway. During peak season, the rooms are a little pricey here
The check in person was helpful and friendly. The check out person was defensive. Room is too crowded with stuff. Lack of space for luggage and yourself. We were on first floor where they recommend locking windows plus people could see in. Two small windows on the parking/alley side did not provide enough air considering there was no A/C. Also very noisy in the morning on that side. Add to that was the fact the screens were ripped. TV had a cheap, crappy remote. The location is only okay. Price too high for the product.
Modern room update. Extra sink/ mirror outside of bathroom which is always useful. Very clean. Comfortable bed and bedding. Fireplace which would be lovely in cool weather. Centrally located. The safe in our room would not open and my things were in it. The hotel staff could not fix it although the maintenance guy was able to get it open. The manager gave us a voucher for the restaurant which was appreciated. Small room size. No air conditioning which I realize they don't need very often, but it was quite warm when we were there.
-We were allowed to check-in early (11am!) -The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. -The fireplace was very romantic and made the room toasty. -The outdoor pool was heated and clean.
The location was good not great. Close to stuff but still a bit of a walk. I was happy with the value. Comfortable room and clean. It looks like the place has recently been renovated. A bigger pool and hot tub would be nice.
Staff was fantastic- just very accomodating, friendly and really made an effort to make the stay enjoyable. Can't say enough about the staff. I was sitting reading on their pretty outdoor patio and they offered me a glass of wine, even though the bar wouldn't be open for another few hours. Room was really great- spacious, updated fixtures and hardware (felt like a swanky room), and without any ambient noise at all. Plush soft towels, comfortable bedding- the whole experience just made us both feel like "ok, we're staying at a NICE hotel." We were on the second floor facing the street and really didn't get any street noise at all either. If we're ever back in the area, we will definitely stay here again.

As we were checking in, we were told that we had signed up for two queen beds. As this was the one night in over 4 years that we got to spend together without her kids, I had made sure when I reserved the room it was for a king bed. After 10 minutes of negotiating, the lady at the front desk assigned is to a wheelchair accessible room with the king bed. Paying $400+ for the night, we were not very happy with the type of room we were assigned to. The bed itself was very uncomfortable. The mattress was very cheap and sagging on each side. The pillows were made of practically nothing but air. To add to the lovely stay, at 1:00 am we were awoken to the the fire alarm going off and loud flashing blinking lights in our room. The entire hotel had to evacuate and after the fireman came to turn the alarm off, we went back to our room. It was safe to say at this point we wouldn't get much sleep. As we complained to the front desk about our stay, they apologized and offered nothing to us. I will NEVER stay at this Marriott again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Centrally located allowing us to explore Monterey It is tired.
Location was great! 1. Your ad said I had two options for this type of room: City view or Ocean view. I clicked on city view. In reality, I got a room on the second floor and a view of the building next door and the Subway down the street. VERY misleading ad and application form for your room. 2. I was given the option of a King or Double. The room was for my partner and I so I was hoping for a King. I've never received a double booking as a couple but this time I did. I called front desk to change my room when I got upstairs and they said I never specified King. Your website doesn't give a very obvious space for me to specify King though. 3. The room I was placed in was next to the weight room. It was loud because when people work out, they lick to drop weights which makes a lot of noise. This did not making sleeping very easy. 4. I tried paying for the internet but kept getting error messages. I'm good with computers and I'm certain this was a network issue and not a user error on my part. In short, I didn't get the room I expected, it was difficult sleeping at night bc we were so close to the weight room, there was no internet, and I don't understand how the front desk said I should have specified King bed when your online app form doesn't give me a space for that. I won't be staying at the Marriot any more in the future.

The included breakfast was fantastic. The amenities were excellent with a good central location.
The room and the excellent breakfasts. The view from the rooftop area was excellent too, as was the free drink offered every day betweek 4 & 6 pm. We were overcharged by nearly $100, which we discovered on looking at our Credit Card statement. We are now waiting for a refund.
The complimentary breakfast was wonderful; we had smoked salmon bagels and homemade granola. The staff were friendly and informative. the rooms were very 'boutique' style.
Though the room size was average, the interior was well designed and almost new. It was great to use the Jacuzzi and jump into the bed right after. Staff was exceptionally friendly and very helpful not only in in giving hints where to go in the area but also for our trip further south. nothing :)
Beautiful Downtown, close to Fisherman's Wharf, and well-preserved and maintained building and rooms. Rooms are older and bathroom fixtures & layout could use updating, but the furnishings are antique, the bed was comfy, and the room was clean and neat throughout, and the place was quiet. It is located conveniently close to many differing restaurants, and of course the real touristy hotspots are only a few blocks away. Bring your walking shoes! So the closest parking they refer you to is 4-blocks away and there is no guarantee that you'll park closer even at check-in as they have no "dedicated" on-street parking/loading nearby. There are stairs everywhere, so even if you ride the elevator up, once you get to your floor it's the old-fashioned "wandering" hotel with weirdly set up hallways and you go out of one building into others, and there are stairs everywhere! Only 3-5 stairs but railings are only on one side if at all, and there's no forewarning of that fact.
The hotel had an excellent location only a short walk from Monterey Bay and the wharf. Although a bit shabby, the hotel has a charming feel. The staff was helpful and friendly. Both the room and bathroom were uncomfortably small. Other than the bed, there was only one small uncomfortable wooden chair to sit on. No microwave or refrigerator was provided. The worst problem was the noise, both day and night, which made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. Between the trash trucks, the squawking sea gulls, the late night party goers, and street construction peace was not to be had. And, because the room was not air conditioned, the windows could not be closed.
The customer service was amazing and the room I picked was smaller than I thought and they upgraded me for free and the new room was amazing and we had a great time there!!! It was close to lots of sites we visited and we had a great trip!!!! I didn't like the stairs and the elevators were far from the room due to the fact that we have to pack a lot because we have a baby but the bell hop helped us and they accommodated our every need!!!
The staff were very courteous. The hotel decor and history. There was a farmers market on the street in front of the hotel. There was some minor damage on the bathroom counter. Just an eyesore, nothing major. The tv was old but it worked fine.
It appeared the valet used my car for personal use. Found papers in the front seat of my car not belonging to me when I picked up my car after my stay. Very concerning.
Location was a block away from the wharf with restaurants and shopping nearby everywhere. Hotel was beautiful with historic architecture and vintage furniture Walls were thin and you could hear your neighbors' movements
Good location, in heart of downtown. Parking can be an issue. Hotel could use an update.
Absolutely charming historic hotel located in the heart of downtown Monterey! 5 minute drive to the aquarium and a five minute walk to the beach and Fisherman's Wharf. Stayed two nights with our young family with 3 kids, and they loved every bit down to how they folded the napkins and toilet paper prior to our stay. Breakfast was overflowing with ripe strawberries and Boyd's coffee, and the staff dug up a corkscrew to keep and some wine glasses so we could enjoy our bottle from wine country. All in all, wish we could have stayed longer, and very pleased with its prime location and roaring 20's charm. Parking was slightly challenging but we were always able to find some spots on the street.

clean & quite. great central location! less bulkier furniture in the room so a small table & chair can be accommodated. one can't sit on the bed at all times!!
The most polite, friendly, and helpful staff I have encountered at a hotel in awhile. The hotel itself was located in a perfect spot in town with lots of food places and stores close by. The fact the this hotel has such a historic history, being that it is 112 years old, made it all the more fascinating. Loved everything!
This was the nicest of this type of hotel we have ever seen. Everything was clean and neat. Bed was very big. Well-themed room decor and furniture and their staff was very friendly! . Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because we wished it was in the normal $40-50 range for the hotel of this class

It was close to gas and food areas, near freeway. Turns out a little too near for us. We could constantly hear the passers-by. The room was pretty decent for the price. Big bed. Comfy. Gave us a place to rest for the night. Had waffles and yogurt with juice and coffee for breakfast which was nice. The pillows sucked. Like i had knots in mine. Had to constantly move to smooth it out. The bathroom walls were kinda dirty. When in there u can see stuff on them. A bit of a turn off :/ Also maybe it was just our location. But we had a lot of foot traffic, what seemed like all night. We were right next to the ice and vending machines. Come 4-5 Am people were filling up their coolers I'm asuming. But the was the wake up time for us. With all the noice we couldnt sleep anymore. So we had a bit of a restless night :(
The front desk staff was polite and pleasant. However there is a complete disconnect between housekeeping and the front desk. I arrived at 3:45pm and was assigned two rooms housekeeping reported as ready that were not made up. Ar least four other guests were assigned rooms that were not ready. Also one guest was assigned a room that was still occupied (how could EVER allow that to happen). I did not get a room until 5 pm. The only way this happens is if management tollerates it. This property needs competent management.
The staff were very respectful! There were a lot of noise from construction workers that were in the rooms above the room I was staying in. I had to change rooms due to the loud noise that management did not take care of! We also were in a room with bed bugs! NEVER AGAIN!
At least they had security
