Room was very large. Room and hotel overall were clean and comfortable. Great location - next to The Alamo and across from shops at RiverCenter / RiverWalk. Very good breakfast which was free for my family of four. A/C in the room was noisy when shutting off after each cycle. It didn't prevent us from sleeping, but it was noticeable. Also be aware parking is not free and is in an outside lot close by - very short walk. We had no problems, and it's unlimited n and out. I was a little worried about a hail storm as it was stormy a couple nights.
Older hotel but you would never know it. Super comfortable bed and all updated fixtures including the bathroom. Even the air conditioning was set at just the right temperature. This hotel is located in the best location possible for being a tourist or just going down to the riverwalk to party like a rock star. It is about 10 feet from the Alamo. The staff was at check in was accommodating and friendly. I cant wait to stay here again.
Ernie's bar right in the hotel - great happy hour, very relaxed bar. good breakfast at the hotel every morning, staff very friendly, rooms nice and clean.
I loved everything about it! The price was excellent for a Friday night stay in SanAntonio. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room was exactly as described. Great location, very close to Market Square and the River Walk. If I had to pick something I didn't like it would be paying for parking, but that's a given in the area. Our A/C unit was a little loud but it didn't really diminish from our stay.
convenient as far as location and accessability to San Antonio "highlights". beautiful, historic. Great staff for the most part. because there was no gym/work out facilities on sight and the pool was out of commission during our stay, Crockett did direct and make it possible for us with a nearby facility/hotel. we noticed when we were going to use a couple of glasses in our room for water/soda...that the "old" glasses were what we had to use and that the liquid from the previous night wasn't even emptied by the housekeeper that day...unfortunate...made us question whether the room was cleaned more than just make the bed...
Large room Large room...room felt like an unfurnished apartment. T.V. was off to the left side of the bed all by itself on a desk...so had to lie on my side to watch anything leading to sore neck back and shoulders...horrible. Absolutely ruined my day! Ernie's bar was not open Sat or Sun before 3 pm!? And it was a holiday weekend and opening college football weekend and I had to go to another hotel bar to watch the game..OU V. Houston. I've stayed her for the 2nd and last time.
Loved the service and the friendly staff. Felt like home away from home. Their was dust on the coffee maker. I am a big time coffee drinker. And dust on the cabnet and mirrors, shelfs, bathroom. But not caked on.... Coffee pot needs to be cleaned every day.
Rooms very clean, bed very comfortable Noise rises from ground level around 5am as employees begin breakfast routine
Location, price, staff
Location was great. Staff was friendly. Moderately priced considering its location (heart of downtown). Shower was backing up.
This is silly to complain about but the complimentary coffee at breakfast is a little too weak.
Beautiful building, clean rooms, and perfect location Parking fee was a bit high at $25
Location is excellent Beds are quite narrow. Air conditioning went out one night. Thankfully, it was repaired the next day.
Beautiful hotel with charm and character. So close to everything and convenient for someone on foot/ for public transport/ for tours. Great pool. People working there were very nice - allowed late check out at 1:00pm. A bit noisy at night - one night it was loud drunk tourists, once it was random construction at restaurant in mall next door, & once the fire alarms went off. I don't think it's the hotel's fault though.
We liked the location so much!! Just besides the Alamo, and the hotel is nicely preserved!! You can see the age of the hotel in the rooms! The bathroom was extremely small but usefull. The valet it's on the expensive side!!
The Menger is very historic and literally right across the street from the Alamo. There are lots of things to do that are within easy walking distance that give you the San Antonio experience. The historic nature alone is worth the stay. We didn't get a room in the old, original, historic section. Our room was outdated and in need of renovation.
I stay here often and I have tried other places it's so luxurious for the money and the location is in the middle of everything!
The historic portion of the hotel is beautiful! Rooms are small, full size bed... but very nice and very clean. I would like to suggest that better quality sheets be used on the bed... sheets were way to big, so they tangled up at your feet. The beds are not the most comfortable to begin with and the sheets only made it worse.
San Antonio's 1859 hotel was all it promised. Perfect central location next to the Alamo, and the Menger Hotel itself is rich in history, generously displayed throughout the building. The room itself was just fine, but I am interested mostly in the ambience outside the room (so long as the beds, showers and such are good). We will return. One note of special interest: the maid was a great source of info; cheerful and helpful! The view from the window? - a wall! Next time we will ask for a courtyard or other external, interesting view. Otherwise, all was well.
If you want a little history stay, this place is it. This place is great old school hotel with the oldest bar in town. Has a nice pool and inner garden to chill. Nice helpful staff Rooms were clean and large. The shower could have stronger flow and pool service coming around a bit (there is a phone to place order) but that is not a big deal. Location is perfect - Riverwalk starts right here and Alamo is a cross the street Can't open windows in the room (the old bulding) Shower has weak water flow
that it was close to everything They didn't tell me about 20$ parking day, they didn't tell me 100$ deposit would be needed.
Central Location: Beautiful 150 year old historic hotel, literally across the street from Alamo, Numerous attractions, Riverwalk Mall, Ripley's, Wax Museum, Guinness Records, etc.... Short trolley ride to Historic Market. We used it as base of operations. Bought all-day passes to attractions and walked back to hotel to cool off/swim when needed. Lots of food nearby too. Hotel staff gave great service too. Kids loved all the museum like stuff in the hotel. The bar has a mirror with a bullet hole next to it they say Teddy Roosevelt shot in it on a bet when he was there recruiting his rough riders. Been here several times. It is our 'go to' spot for San Antonio. The parking is very expensive. Thirty dollars per day - but it is expensive in the entire city and you do have unlimited in and out privileges. The hotel is really old so it has a few rough edges. The pool tiling needs a bit of repair, some of the doors stick a bit, the elevators are small, floors are a little uneven and a bit sloped here and there, etc. It has a lot of "character", but I guess refurbishing an old hotel is like restoring an old car, you never quite manage to get all of the rattles out of it.
Historical, legendary hotel - also comfortably contemporary ... Plus, the staff at the front desk was polished and helpful. They made us feel they were serious about our enjoyment of the hotel. Would have liked to have stayed another day to enjoy more of the amenities, such as the Menger Bar and its TR Rough Riders connection. Note: You really need a "none of the above" category for the second question on who was in your party -- none of those definitions fit. This was frustrating and I almost didn't write this review, but decided to submit it by checking "group of friends" even though it's wholly inadequate to describe my party, which was me, my sister, and mother, and my sister's boyfriend.
Ordered breakfast off the restaurant menu. It was high priced and the portion size was small. 1 breakfast taco with sides was $16!
Friendly, helpful and warm staff. Location is excellent, right smack at the river walk. Within walking distance to all main attractions in the city
No free wifi
Stayed there for SA Marathon. Had to get up at 4:30 but could hear loud music outside until 10 PM. Also, AC did not work very well.
The river walk A little expensive for the small room
Staff, service, room, and the hospitality was awesome.
Nice room right on the riverwalk parking was a big issue and expensive
Staff very helpful, assisted in getting my husband a golf tee time, friendly, patient, good suggestions for things to do, and places to get services. Would have liked spa services available at the hotel.
My room location was awesome. The view I had for the firework show during New Years Eve was even better. I live and work in the UAE (Dubai). We have some of the best and most world class hotels that anyone can offer. With that said,....my first stop when I landed last week was the Palacio Del Rio. I put my bags on top of the dresser and when I pulled them off,..I found a lot of dust on top of the dresser. I did not make a fuss about it,..but I do know that the places I stay around the globe will not tolerate such a thing. Other than that,..the staff there was extremely polite and helpful. I will def. stay at the Palacio del Rio during my next visit to San Antonio.
I got an upgrade to another room and it was awesome there on out
Seemed to have difficulty getting auto from valet parking. Took 50 minutes one time.
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. Train noise in the early morning hours outside the hotel and noisy visitors next door and down the hall.
From the complimentary brunch at Ruth Chris, to the friendliness of the staff, i am impressed everytime i come here.
Everything, but the outdoor smoking areas were in direct sun or behind pool area that had no air.
Nothing to like here. The internet service in my 5th floor room was poor. Then the crickets moved in. I killed three of them and counted 5 more down the hall from me. While I was at the font desk talking about the lack of Wifi, two very angry women guests came down to check out because of all the bugs. The interior is worn and does not present as clean. There was a puddle of water in the middle of the floor. They offered me a room on the second floor where the Wifi was better but even to my male nose, this room smelled stale. I decided I'd seen enough and many thanks to Kayak for getting me out of this mess and into the Best Western Sunrise Suites (1 block away). Same price range and a high quality hotel. BEWARE THE RED ROACH INN!
The coffee was good & it Was convenient to Riverwalk and Alamo. Walking Distance The door was hard to open and close because of the deadbolt. Kept getting stuck. Paper thin walls, you have to pay for parking and the safe in your room also Some of the staff was rude.
Location The bed linen was cover in stains, the walls had stains and what looked like mildew. The shower was disgusting plus the water came out with such force it hurt. The floors were filthy so don't walk around barefoot. Hotel said they underwent an upgrade, but definitely doesn't look like it. Free breakfast is a joke. Will NEVER stay at this hotel again.
Walking distance to alamadome for events. sorry breakfast. slow maintenance. we had a slow drain in the tub and reported it everyday and it still was not fixed when we left.
Staff was rude. Door was missing the bottom liner so you could hear everyone that walked by.
Overall nice clean hotel for the price That we had to pay $15 daily for parking
Walking distance to downtown (riverwalk/Alamo) but its a sketchy area if you are alone. Many homeless and cat callers around. Rooms were modern and looked just like the pictures. Staff was friendly and helpful Sheets were dirty, asked for new ones and we're still dirty. Add on extra charges after initial booking fee, must pay for parking, ADA accessible restroom was constantly wet. Showers must run for ten minutes before water heats up, refrigerator didn't work, roach came out of restroom drain.
Was convenient to Riverwalk and Alamo. Walking Distance. The door was hard to open and close because of the deadbolt. Kept getting stuck. The sink faucet was about to fall off and the hot water barely came out. The sink was free standing and not any room to put anything around it. The shower head was so strong you could hardly stand under it. We were only able to get very few channels on the tv. On the vending machines you could only use a credit or debit card. I thought was inconvenient. We did report this all to the front desk as we left and they said these issues would be fixed. I hope so because it could be a very nice, convenient place to stay.
Great location for the money. Very dirty floors. Sheets had to be changed they were filthy. Not a good experience. Front staff w were nice but housekeeping was a joke...
Everything is good If you are going to advertise free breakfast then do it
Everything was good, and it was a surprise. I went in thinking it was a real dive, based on the reviews I read after booking my room. I was there for 3 nights and I cant complain about a single thing, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, staff were really friendly, and it looks to be quite a new motel, or has been recently renovated. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone! Cant say anything bad, it is a 2 star hotel that is more like a 3 star. The rates were not cheap, but seeing as there was a convention in town, it was a whole lot cheaper than nearby hotels. If I had to take a guess, some bad reviewers either got some real bad staff attitude or they expected 4 star service.
Perfect for a night in downtown SA.
Near Convention Center. Bathroom was not clean.
Hotel had lots of activities planned for families and kids, including egg hunt and wake up call by the Easter bunny. Super friendly staff and very clean. Excellent access to the mall and food court area for those that like different tastes on a budget, but also quick access to very nice restaurants as well. Some of the activities were at the other Marriott across the street
Housekeeping was fast. Location on the river walk was very convenient. The room and bathroom were very small. There was also a very strong scent of perfume that was overwhelming when you walked into the hotel. We noticed it every time we came into the hotel during our stay. It was almost nauseating. Parking was expensive. It was the week of Thanksgiving and the front desk seemed to be severely understaffed.
How close it was to the river walk. The smell on our floor and room size.
The hotel was great and the staff was nice as well by accommodating you with the services and room. We had a great view and we could just walk downstairs to the river walk. The river walk was close but the places we wanted to go to were further than expected. Overall the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter was great especially since it has a mall right down stairs. I did not like that you had to pay for parking. Your paying a price you would think that that would be included. Also there was no mini fridge in the room for food.
Location, easy to find, by riverwalk. Oh, the people working there, OUTSTANDING IN EVERY ASPECT! Nothing, would stay there if the prices were better!
The hotel has a great location on the riverwalk in a quieter area next to the mall. The room we had (handicap) was very large, and the bed was comfortable. The lobby was nice, there was a starbucks in the lobby, and the food at the bar and restaurant were good. This was one of the biggest hotel disappointment I've had in the past. year. I traveled over 200 days in the past year and stayed at quite a few different hotels, so I don't say this lightly. When we first walked into the room (905 handicapped) the bathroom stood out as an eyesore. It was at least 5-10 years past when it should have been renovated. The grout was multiple different colors that made it look like it could be moldy, the wallpaper was peeling from the walls, and there was a general lack of craftmanship in the way it was constructed. The final straw was when I went to take a shower, and the shower head connection was leaking and spraying water in all directions. It wasn't just a loose connection, because I was unable to stop the leak. This is something a guest should never have to deal with at a chain like the Marriott. I asked the front desk to be transferred, but because it was a busy time the only available room was the room below us (805). This bathroom was in slightly better condition, although there were a few cracked and chipped tiles. Although the shower head worked, it was a very low end and cheap looking model. The bigger problem was when my wife tried to take a shower the first night, she was unable to maintain a constant water temperature. It would alternate between cold and very hot. She showed me how red her feet were, and I can only imagine what sort of a problem this could pose to an elderly or handicapped person. The other problem was the terrible tv reception while we were trying to watch the sugar bowl in our room. It would constantly blur or pause, making it nearly impossible to watch the game. Fortunately or unfortunately, the reception on the large tv's at the bar was fine. In summary, this is not the type of property I would expect for a Marriott. For the time around the new year the value wasn't bad (just under 200) however I would have preferred to spend 50% more on a room that looked like it had been renovated in the past 10-20 years. In the past year the only time I have experienced bathrooms in this sort of condition were in $50 rooms in towns with less than 5000 people. Buyer beware.
I loved everything but most of all the valet Chris who took such good care of two old women...his mother would be so proud of him. Please if you can tell him Mrs. Whitehead and Mrs. Nall so appreciate all he did for us.
Valet, Joe, was very helpful and friendly.
the location 1. the 25usd/day for parking 2. the parking fee announced upon check out only 3. the not very pet-friendly 4. the state of the room
The beds were very comfortable, and the view was great Air conditioner dripped a puddle onto the floor, and 25 bucks a day to park my own car... just to have trees drop berries all over it that stank so bad... then birds eat them and poop all over the car too. I got to drive away angry after a relaxing weekend.
Location Bathroom was filthy, the food in the restaurant was terrible
The staff was great. The rooms were clean. Even when house keeping forgot to clean our room twice, they sent someone over immediately to clean it up. The breakfast attendants were super friendly, especially Rudy. The breakfast could use better variety of fruit and swich the sausage with ham once in a while. The pool was so cold, I thought icebergs were forming.
- At $230 a night it was a below average hotel.
Proximity to interstate and Alamo. Front desk staff were helpful and professional. Would recommend the hotel for these reasons. There were several dead bugs in the room and shower faucet didn't work properly. Room had an odd odor.
The facility was filthy. The staff was not very nice. The rooms were dirty. When asked to refresh something why you were denied. Needless to say we will never stay at this hotel again it's unfortunate because we did have a good time on the Riverwalk but will choose a different Hotel. For the money we paid it was not worth it Rims dirty, switched rooms twice comma floors filthy tub backed up ceiling coming down in bathroom tables dirty trash underneath bed the room smelled.
We were able to walk the two blocks to the Alamo and the Rivers all! Basic Motel but basic price!
The location was great and the staff was accommodating. I am a frequent traveler and this was about the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We requested to switch rooms because the first restroom was covered in hair. The staff was very nice and gave us a second room, which was not only also covered in someone else's hair but wreaked of cigarettes, despite the non smoking facility. This time he came to the room, agreed and gave us a 3rd room. This one smelled like old take out but I didn't see any hair on the tub, so it appeared to be the best of the 3. We were exhausted, so I didn't notice the 2 used bars of soap and used washcloth until the next morning. Disgusting! The convenience of the location is not at all worth the lack of cleanliness. When I complained in the morning, I was told they're remodelling and they'd give us a discount. I wouldn't have stayed another night if it was free. Unacceptable.
No hot water in bathroom for shower, asked for extra pillow and towel- was told the housekeepers have them and none were around so I couldn't have either. No printer to print off tickets and tour info for trip.
The location was quite convenient and the hotel presented a good value when compared to adjacent properties. I would have prefered a wider selection of breakfast foods.
I really liked the location, we didn't have to use our vehicle to get around, we walked the whole time and we liked the fact that there was a Denny's restaurant about a block away. I didn't like how at night soliciters came by our room and slipped flyers through the door, it sounded like someone was trying to break in or playing with the door, it scared us a few times. We didn't feel safe. And one other thing we had no knowledge that half of the hotel was on the other side of the street, very dangerous to crossover to the main office for continental breakfast.
The coffee was good, and the staff was helpful Every surface had been repaired, or was in need of repair at some point. The mattress was rubberized and uncomfortable. there was no Privacy option. Someone was sticking food coupons into my door every couple of hours. Road noise from the interstate was bad.
Nothing Room had big bugs in it. When we informed it to front desk they said they have this problem with all rooms. Front desk didn't have any manager so they refused to cancel or refund. However, booking site for very courteous and helpful to initiate refund process from their side.
Location Not very clean
DO NOT STAY HERE. EVER. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Unbelievable filth. Bugs. Mold. Mildew. Gross beyond words. Sometimes one is willing to stay a few blocks from the convention hotel simply because the price is considerably less. One expects low-end, no-frills, budget accommodations; but one also expects a clean room. One does not get a clean room at the Day's Inn Alamo in San Antonio. This room was absolutely filthy. The carpet was filthy all over the room, and it had YEARS worth of filth collected along every wall and corner. The bathroom was a mildew farm with silverfish crawling around. One of the bedspreads had toothpaste all over it. There were two wads of chewed gum on the floor and an empty chips bag just under the edge of the bed. The bathroom exhaust fan did not work. The television did not work. Don't even think about giving this place your money. Stay ANYWHERE but here. The health department should shut this place down.
We had a pleasant stay at this motel. It was very easy to find, right off of the highway andWithin walking distance of the Alamo and the Riverwalk. With a bus pass, we could get to anywhere it town with little trouble. We enjoyed the simple breakfast and the nice, clean rooms. The morning staff was not very friendly, and one of them seemed moreinterested in her cell phone than her customers.
the front desk was very welcoming, helpful and fun to interact with. Even remembered my name throughout my 3 day stay. No bags in the ice buckets. Elevator felt rickety and other customers were mentioning it too. Housekeeping wouldn't clean our room first day. Travelmate wasn't feeling well but HK cart was out there in the afternoon. She would only leave us towels
Professional Staff, comfortable bed The view of the River was bland. The main thing is I forgot my Bose Soundlink to listen to my music. No biggie, I'll just get some on the TV, it cost $10, ok I paid the $10, they had 6 genres of music.
Kind courteous staff. Great complimentary breakfast. Hotel at good location for River Walk which is directly behind it.
Well maintained and clean. Breakfast was great. No problems or complaints.
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable, small bathroom. The best free breakfast I've had in any hotel we stayed in
The staff was very helpful and nice. I liked the free parking and the free breakfast. I thought it was closer to the main part of the riverwalk.

The hotel was very modern and clean. The staff was very responsive. I liked the fact that the sink and the shower area was separated. Nice large rooms. Free parking. The breakfast was good. Although the shower itself was really nice and large, the bathroom itself was rather small. The hotel is on the Riverwalk, it is on the unused portion of the river. The portion of the Riverwalk that has the shops and restaurants is about 2 blocks away.

Very Clean. Quite. And Very Friendly Staff. Very helpful. Great Breakfast.
The rooms- they are clean and nice layout. Everything about the rooms was perfect! I was a bit less satisfied with the fact that the 2nd room we had reserved was not ready until an hour later- we were tired from the trip so we really wanted to rest but we had to wait even though we came in at checkin time.
location room was not ready even though I had requested early arrival 1 hr. only several days ahead
We went to the Monster Jam and were very close to the Alamo Dome. It made the show more fun, will stay there again. nope
During my stay at Staybridge Suites: I was most impressed with the professionalism of the staff. Very poised, knowledgeable and courteous
The staff were friendly and assisted in making our stay a great one. As a result of some miscommunication between booking.com and the hotel, the hotel gave my family complimentary day passes for the trolley system. The maid service was excellent and kept the room clean for us, making the bed and exchanging some sheets for us.
Proximity to the Alamodome. Internet unreliable, slow, and frequently not working. Front desk no help as says call 888 number which is even worse . Breakfast food selection and quality poor. Condition of facilities degrading and not maintained. Carpet in poor condition.
THE staff was very accommodating and very nice. Everything was provided before I would ask for it. Overall, a great experience . Love the old Spanish charm that the hotel is made off. Very charming ambiance. The session that I attended in San Antonio finished every 2230 in the evening. I did not like that the hotel restaurant is close early like around 2200. I wish the restaurant is open 24 hours. I also wish that there is a Starbucks inside the hotel for the convenience of all the hotel guest.
very clean, great location, friendly staff,
Check In was easy. Hotel room sitting area was actually very comfortable and functional to use, unlike most average hotel suites. Location was great. On the Riverwalk plus just 2 blocks from literally everything. Self parking lots were super close as well, if you don't like waiting for the valet everytime. Hotel desk staff were business friendly, but it did not feel genuine. Which is the opposite of everyone else we met in San Antonio. This was one of the friendliest cities we've encountered!! Also the tub in our room did not drain properly, so you stood in water while you showered and the faucet was loose and spun all the way around.
The front desk staff was unprepared and it to over 45 minutes to check in
Cyn from the front desk and Michael at the concierge desk were fantastic! They helped make my stay amazing!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating! The fee for parkig at the hotel was ridiculous, $36 per night.
Made a special stop at the river walk on our five day trek from Pittsburgh to puerto Vallarta Mexico. Stopped to enjoy the beautiful view and exeperience the river walk. The resort was absolutely gorgeous. Unique with design, very friendly conceierge, and beautiful room layout. Our one and only critique, and rather silly at that, after pulling in with our vehicle and stopping at the front valet, the attendant seemed almost shocked when we said, yes we would like you to park the car, and replied with an almost doubtful "are you sure? Wouldn't you like to hear the prices?" Though I'm sure he was just trying to do his job and avoid later frustration, the tone in which he asked us the question was borderline offensive. Young man if we can afford to stay where we are staying we certainly assure you we can afford to park.
Right on the RiverWalk, Hotel Contessa is luxury meets romance. My sister stay here on spring break and had a wonderful time. The staff was helpful and the city is definitely tourist friendly. Filled with history, charm, and luxury, downtown San Antonio along with the Hotel Contessa were great for our girl's getaway. Although the city is tourist friendly, we did got lost. Also, the Hotel Contessa needs to hire more people on their housekeeping staff. During our stay, housekeeping forgot to clean our room one day. Other than that, things were great.
The suite was great - nice sitting area, spacious bathroom, good bedroom and everything worked perfectly. The hotel's location is directly on a loop of the riverwalk which is good because it puts you right into the attraction, but is not on the main section so it's much quieter and easier to find a dining place. Parking is available across the street from the hotel and the street itself is not as busy as those nearer the Alamo. Parking at the hotel is a ridiculous $36/night and they charged for two parking spots for our two motorcycles even though we actually had both bikes consolidated out of the way in the valet area not even in the parking garage. That was irritating. The hotel staff were polite but very cold and decidedly unfriendly. Don't believe I did anything to be offensive or difficult - I didn't even argue about the parking issue - but all of the desk staff (two in the evening, one in the morning) gave the impression they had much better things to do than speak with me.
Very clean. Polite, professional staff. Wife enjoyed the spa and the gym is very nice. Good location for visiting all of the tourist spots in san Antonio. No hand rails in the bath tubs/shower. Fell twice getting into and out of the shower. Sides of the tub are very high. Too many children running around the halls unattended, noisy. No frig or micro wave in the room. Onsite food and drink is very expensive. Ice machines are far apart on the floors. no vending machines for late night drinks/snacks. Valet parking is very expensive. View was nothing spectacular because of the trees surrounding the hotel.
nice "earthy' atmosphere and location love the suite option very expensive valet parking and no self parking lot poor room service options and other snack options no balconies or windows to open poor ventilation in rooms small pool and hot tub broken
Location and large size rooms Issues with hot water and terribly slow and incompetent valet
Riverwalk Vista is in a perfect location for touring downtown San Antonio and a peaceful oasis after touring.
Had a nice stay. When compared to the hotels with the convention hall, well worth the price. Location to the convention hall is good and a very easy walk. It was a very nice place to get away from business. They offer breakfast and an evening snack with a free glass of wine. If you enjoy historic buildings, this is your place. The bed was great, I had no issues in with my room. Shower was awesome. The wireless internet is basic and not very strong. I had streaming issues with Hulu and Netflix. There is a musty smell that is common with older buildings. There were times it wasn't very noticeable and other times where is was. Can't say it bothered me a ton but it was definitely present. The staff was very nice. There was one staff member in the office who is way more direct than the others and I could see her coming off as mean. They should be more open about there Fitness Facility not being in the hotel. I had 45 minutes of spare time one day and no chance it was enough time to get to the other hotel to workout, it is quite a distance away.
