Cons (-) Stairs and walkways and elevator are dirty.
Pros (+) We love how the front desk staff responded to our phone inquiry shortly after we booked through Kayak, as well as when we checked in and asked for coffee shop recommendation. We eventually got the best coffee shop we wanted to see in Santa Fe! We stopped by for a night while heading to another State and it was a very satisfying rest with La Quinta Inn.
Cons (-) We had two adjoining rooms, and when we arrived one smelled like anchovies mixed with vomit. The staff on hand tried to accommodate, but the carpet cleaner wasn't working. Ended up discounting room. Also, no extra pillows to be had.
Pros (+) The price was decent for a weekend room. Very easy to find. Close to stores and several restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was more comfortable than many other hotels I've stayed in. The breakfast waffles were tasty.
Cons (-) This hotel is a long way from most of the tourist areas. You will have added parking expense near the plaza if you do your own driving. While there are some restaurants close by, there aren't many bars within walking distance. The shower head needs a good scrubbing and cleaning because of mineral buildup. Cons (-) Twice we had do not disturb and our room was entered anyway. One one occasion they left our rooms door opened for who knows how long as we were gone all day.
