Misrepresented additional charges
Cons: I spent some time comparing cars and prices before selecting Sixt for my trip. I paid ahead of time for the best price. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was told it lacked insurance that was required, and I was told that I could either select Basic or Premium. Given time constraints and language barriers, I only asked for confirmation that it was REQUIRED that I have the extra insurance in order to drive the car. It was confirmed to me that it was required, so I selected Basic. So, while I thought I had paid ahead, what I was presented with was an additional charge of 237.92 Euros. This now puts to cost of renting the car 70% higher than I planned. I am very unhappy with this result. It seems that 1 of 2 things happened: - You did not fairly represent the cost of renting the car at the time of booking, or, - Your representative misrepresented an optional service as though it was required. Please tell me which of the above situations represents the truth.

incredibly difficult to update the trip
Cons: Couldn't extend my trip since I got through pricel

Cons: No customer service - not a single person spoke a word to us. They just handed us a receipt. Then later we were charged an additional $40 for I don't know what.

Audi, bmw, benz...
Pros: They have upper-end cars at great prices to give you the comfort you want on vacation in Germany.
Cons: I recently had 2 separate occasions in which i have rented cars from sixt and had to point out several dents, windscreen chips and scratches that were not on the checkout report. And sixt takes these things very seriously. If I had not found them, they would have charged me upon return. Not very thorough or professional on there part.
