The Hotel was clean & tidy, rooms were a good standard. Staff very helpful, its a Holiday Inn. The Beds do take some getting use to, the pillows soft or hard are not good. Paying £10 for wifi - 1st hour is expensive. The hotel can have an issue at breakfast if everyone decends at 7.30 / 8am as they can run out of food and the tables can be full and not cleaned !!!, I waited over 10 min and when i eventually got my breakfast I sat down at a table that had not been cleaned away, full of cups and plates, throughout my breakfast nothing on my table or around me was cleaned or moved !!...other than that its a Holiday Inn and getting better
Location very convenient. Quality very good and very well maintained. Is it necessary to charge customers for car parking if they are paying guests?
Lovely to be so close to the centre. With a party and prepaid afternoon tea and dinner. Afternoon tea was urns of tea and coffee and prewrapped biscuits. Not 4 star rather like a poor B&B offering! TV screen really dirty and dusty. No soap dish. Half used shampoo. Not even a post card in the drawer. All quite shabby for the price asked and not like any 4 star hotel you would find elsewhere in Europe.
clean rooms fresh and friendly staff yes the window did not open, it was screwed shut and when asked for a fan ( as my wife is 7 months pregnant) we did not get one.
Close by the town and easy to walk to the main venues of the city. had a power outage which was not their fault but when that happened the lifts in morning did not work, so staying on 3rd floor was a bit of a hike with all bags if you have a wife/Girlfriend
Central to the town so lovely to be able to walk in quickly. The hotel is spacious- reception is well laid out. Cleaning staff knocking on the room door at 9.a.m, particularly on Saturday morning when you are not checking out that day.. but also on Sunday..
The warmth of the hotel (bitterly cold outside during our stay) and the lovely breakfasts. In fact, we liked eveything. There was nothing we disliked.
room was overlooking the river
The Hotel was central to everything we wanted to see. Staff were very helpful. Food - excellent with good choice including dietary requirements. I have some mobility problems and a room was arranged for us near to lift which was great.
It is in a really great location.
The room was a little tired and in need of redecoration.
Very good for sight seeing, Theatre, shopping, every thing is close to hand with in walking distance.
Very comfortable with modern and historic feel to different parts of hotel. Very cosy by open fire in traditional surroundings. Food well cooked and presented but menu rather limited particularly from day to day. No real problems but lack of drawer space in bedroom and shelf space in bathroom.
the position of the hotel needed decorating
it was right in the heart of Stratford and there were good parking facilities. All staff were very friendly the bathroom was a bit shabby
The room was delightfully unusual with oak beams. The hotel itself was very pleasant and ideally located. I also liked the RAF and Navy display in the lobby. Breakfast, although adequate, did not quite match the rest of my very good experience at this hotel.
Location of the hotel and the facilities Room faced noisy road and church with a clock that tolled every hour
It was near to the theatre The room was of a poor standard with filthy net curtains. We had mould in the bathroom and wrinkles in the carpet. We had stayed at better B&B's in Stratford. This was a birthday treat for me and I was severely disappointed.
Great room, excellent staff, great location for the town and surrounding area. Thought the en suite could have been cleaner.
the convenience of the hotel to the town and theatre, and also the pleasantness of the staff. although the tv was receiving digital stations, very few apart from the five main ones were available. Specifically BBC4.
This is a good hotel and is very conveniently situated for the town and for walks along the river. We have stayed here many times and it is our first choice for a hotel in Stratford. The cost of breakfast if you just want tea and toast. Not enough parking.
We only stayed one night, but it was comfortable, clean, very convenient short walk to the Theater, not far from the rail station, walkable to the sights. People were friendly, and room service breakfast was right on time, so we could catch our train to London.
quiet, calm location
no dining facilities
central free carpark
convenient and clean
The location was perfect for visiting Stratford as only a short walk over the river into the town centre. The staff were extremely friendly and the hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere. The room was very clean and had everythiong we needed inclusing an iron and board already in the room. Our stay wasn't long enough! Could have done with an explanation at check in on how the plug in the sink worked as we thought our was broken!
Good location, room was well furnished and clean, an empty fridge was very useful. Didn't suffer from banging doors and creaking floorboards. Excellent car park location and easy access to the hotel from the car park that didn't appear to be locked - so no mammoth treks to have a late night cigarette. No internet, the broadband connection in my room didn't work so I had to pay £40 to use WiFi when it is free at most hotels in the area. When I got the WiFi it was a poor connection and didn't work at all for most of one night. Room key card was erratic at best - it took me around five swipes on average to get into my room.
the breakfastroom and quality of breakfast No lift and long walking distances
friendly staff, very good location.
extremely close to the RST theatre, no more than 5m walk; very quiet, free parking, great breakfast and very comfortable bedroom. waiting staff on the restaurant could be increased in numbers - or efficiency - waiting 15 minutes for the waiter to take my breakfast order, while the restaurant is half full is the only negative item to point out - the breakfast itself was fantastic.
Leaving Website states Carpark, there is no carpark at the hotel, I had to use a pay and display 6 minutes walk away. Room was very poorly maintained. No vending machine in operation so could not get a snack on arrival at 11pm. Breakfast was luke warm, just passable but not worth the £10 charged
Easy access to City Centre, breakfast excellent, efficient polite staff No hotel parking
The size of the room. Doors and frames needed replacing .Also around the bath the sealant needed replacing.
the fact that it was in the town centre and near the bus station which made it easy for me to my business. Nice large room and a good breakfast to start the day.
Very close to shops and services - within 5 minutes walk of the main shopping area. Had no key for my room so I had to be let in by hotel staff each time. Got held up at reception as somebody was being quite forthright in asking for rooms to be swapped around. As I was the only other person waiting I feel I should have been served first so that the receptionist could go back to the more complicated complaint. Lift was broken and kept stopping on floor 5. Windows are complicated which could be an issue in summer.
The convenience of being in the City Centre and not being that far from our function. The hotel was excellent in all categories
In City Centre The shabbiness of the room, and ill fitting, matress and duvet to bed base.
The free tea and coffee and the trouser press. The odd stain on the carpet and the increased security on the hotel room door did not seem to work
nothing The quality of this hotel was very poor, its badly needs modernising, the heating did not work and the food was poor.
convinient central location no
Very convenient for the theatres and with on-site parking (which can be a problem in Stratford) this is a comfortable and characterful hotel which is good for a short stay. The staff are pleasant and intend to be helpful; but things can go amiss. For example a room service request was overlooked and a dinner reservation got lost between the front desk and the restaurant.
The hotel is clean and suits the character of Stratford upon Avon. The log fires are lovely! The hotel were not helpful with the problems we experienced during our stay. The breakfast was poor quality, badly served and the staff were not helpful.
We really enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel. The decor and furniture have been chosen for ultimate comfort and cosiness and have achieved a "home from home" feeling and yet still offer luxury. Nothing springs to mind.
The friendliness of the staff. The fact we were able to book in slightly earlier than 2pm having travelled all the way from Scotland. The hum of the air conditioning unit outside our bedroom window.
Location, Food, Character Building. Being charged for car parking.
I liked the "character" of the hotel and that it had air-conditioning. The room and bath was large, the bed very comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location.
Location (very central), friendly and helpful staff, character. WiFi was very accessable Room was a bit worn. No mention was made before arrival (eg at time of booking) of £10 per night charge for use of the carpark.
wonderful, excellent for a romantic evening- four poster bed well worth it, central to stratford
Great location for accessing attractions. Liked the ambiance of the hotel. Staff were obliging. Room was cramped (bathroom was not).Poorly equiped-tv did not work. No clock/radio. No pen. Most importantly- no space to put clothing- We had to live out of our suitcase.
The location was superb. The junior suite was well worth the extra with a separate lounge area. Having real log fires burning made it feel warm and cozy. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy a hot drink near the fire. The hotel building is old and whilst the rooms are very clean and well decorated the plumbing is old with low water pressure and about 15 minutes before very hot water reaches you. All part of the old world charm I guess.
Comfortable hotel with character right in centre of town. Ideal for visiting historical houses and close to lots of restaurants.
Close enough to the town centre without the need to drive Our room was above the bar which was noisey on the saturday night
The location was very good. We could not be allocated a non-smoking room as requested. The advertsied parking facilities were inadequate thus costin an additional £15.00 for the overnight stay.
The location Check-in staff rather vague & not particularly welcoming
Staff extremely helpful, rooms very nice and comfortable. Excellent for the town and theatres. Excellent location and facilities
everything really, room was very well equiped (we had an executive room) and very clean and the food was gorgeous. I'm affraid my only complaint was the mattress, it wes far far to soft for my liking, it didn't look old or in poor condition or anything it was just too soft for me, it felt like i was sleeping on a banana, but i didn't complain to the hotel as i don't supose they keep spare mattresses!!! I just slept on the sofa bed which was i bit more firm.
Local to attractions
Excellent breakfast with a lot of choice and good quality. Location was perfect for our visit. Car parking was difficult, but adequate considering the location. Checkout was very slow.
the position to the town centre
Staff were very helpful
3 people in the room but only towels for 2. Residents paying for parking but parking tight as a wedding on.
Easy location, comfortable room
We were very pleased with our choice as we just booked over the internet, your hotel was very comfortable, the breakfasts delicious and the staff exemplery. As I booked on line I requested a ground floor room as I have just recently had 2 knee replacement operations, I was a bit disappointed I had to struggle up apprx 20 stairs to room 10 I wish I had been told before arrival that our room was on the first floor. Apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would book again next year.
Bed was extremely comfortable, staff on front desk were friendly, except the lady who checked us out. the breakfast service was a little slow.
Beautiful hotel, efficient staff. Fairly poor shower in the bathroom.
Location very good for theatre, river walks and shopping. Staff very nice. Rooms need refurb. Heating problems need sorting (didn't like being cold).
This is very good example of a tourist friendly hotel for its location of Stratford upon Avon. Lots of features embrace its acknowledgement of Shakespeare's town. Very cosy and the room was comfortable and warm. The location did put it on the nightime path of homeward bound party-people and the street noise of these people did filter into the room well into the early hours.
The location of the hotel was good. It will suit those who don't like modern and prefer the olde worlde feel. The Bar/Lounge was interesting with some historic features and 2 open fires - although they weren't lit when we were there. Our room was right at the back of the hotel and quite a walk from reception. In fact the walk itself was interesting as you had to pass through several doors passing some scary looking pictures on the wall. The room itself was an anti-climax - small and overlooking a car park at the back of the hotel. It was also in a more recent addition to the hotel and therefore had no old features. Looking at the plan of the hotel on the fire exit map it looked like we had one of the smallest rooms in the hotel. Should have paid the extra tenner for a superior double! I'd recommend the hotel if the room was better.
Great location, friendly staff
only stayed one night but was very clean and staff very helpful. Good city centre location Charge for car parking over the top when paying this price for a room
The hotel was excellent. Dead Centre for everything. My husband and I we slept like logs. We where in room 42. If I stayed again ( and I definately would ) I would request that room again. Thanks Only down point. I absolutly love banoffee pie and it wasn't the best. Think the chef needs a little more practice. Also my friends had a little trouble sleeping as the bar down the street Oscars was very loud. I think this would put a lot of people off.
Friendly staff, excellent price, accommodation and location Only comment would be that when the bar closed in the evening there was only a night porter on duty who not only had to man the desk but also attend customers wanting drinks, which seemed too much for one person!
Beautiful old Abbey, with decor consistent with old english style. Staff were exceptional Could do with a better hot water system
The hotel staff were extremely efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, the hotel is an exceptional location and eventhough it was a busy weekend the hotel was peaceful and relaxed.
Very atmospheric - loved the 'Ancient' decor! Much too dark - couldn't see to read in the bedrooms and quite often got lost in the corridors - very confusing in an emergency!
It was such a different hotel experince and very intersting from a historical perspective- great price at off peak rates wonderfully quiet, tranquil, excellent food and the staff made you feel very special. A great place to go with a few friends to get away and relax in style. You really need to have a rental car so you can drive around and explore the other areas like Warwick castle
The unique nature of the hotel and the staff who were excellent. It was exceptional value for money as well. I will certainly stay there again
The setting of this hotel is really special. Located adjacent to a beautiful park with nice walks and woodland it is a great place for spending time relaxing. For me, the darkened medieval atmosphere and interesting decoration is what sets it apart. At £170 for the night, it was the most expensive hotel I've stayed at. But, other than its unique setting and interesting decor, it certainly didn't offer anything else as outstanding as the price. Service was very basic. For instance, no-one to show you to the room, certainly no help to carry your bags. No indication either at check-in or on the paperwork that check-out is 11.00am. Breakfast was included, but as it finished too early for me at 10.00 am this was not sampled. Also, there was pressure to throw me out of the room at 11.00am as this is their (too early) check-out time. Perhaps a visit to the far East for the staff would educate them in the standards that are now expected by international travellers.
The atmosphere and surroundings, and also the peace and tranquility
The most wonderful hotel we have ever stayed in. Just beautiful. The bill was wrong when first issued. This was corrected very quickly.
Excellent service from helpful and experienced staff, feature rooms with period furniture were a delight, good choice of food well prepared, and beautiful, well kept gardens.
My stay was very comfortable and relaxed enhanced by the atmosphere and setting of the abbey's history. Most enjoyable and will visit again when opportunity allows.
The breakfast was good. The staff had no time for you.
Needed to have some paper work faxed to a customer, not a problem, will do that for you was the reply I got from the front desk, well done I would look at what's on offer food wise, people don't mind paying a bit extra for a larger menue.
beautiful grounds, large room indifferent check in staff
Would happily stay again, clean and friendly place. Great value for money and loved the extra pillows! Beds are a little hard and one of our key cards did not work. Also tv was a little small and bath headboard was broken. Cheap toilet paper
The hotel was convienient for my meeting in coventry, the receptionist was helpful & quick with booking me in, I had to change my room as the first room I was put into smelt damp & musty, the guests in the next room decided to use their jaquzzi bath at 1am in the morning and the noise was horrendous so had very little sleep The was a large que for breakfast -so i had to leave without as I would have missed my meeting if I had stayed in the que
the overall experience was great. Fantastic value for money. Staff friendly and informative. Breakfast was enjoyable and plenty off it. All in all 10 out of 10! Nothing!
receptionist (an Irish lad) was very helpful and extremely efficient. He was an excellent frnt man for the hotel.
The food, the staff see above
the breakfast's were very good and very good value for money bathroom was very dirty
That it was within easy reach of Birmingham NEC without being in the city. Pleasant surroundings, neatly tucked away from the road. The toilet paper was very cheap and nasty. Something you would expect in a public toilet not a hotel. Breakfast if paid for at the hotel, too expensive. Would book online next time!
Had pool jacuzzi steamroom Showers in the pool stunk
Room was excellent Restauant was fully booked in the evening although plenty of takeout places to choosee from. The staff were really slow in the morning at breakfast too ordered a coffee and then sat there for 10 mins with no one explaining it was self-service and then not knowing how to charge the bill to my room account. Was in a hurry, so really annoying
The hotel was easy to get to. The room and bed were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was of a very high quality, it's not often that hotel breakfasts are worth the money but this one was. The room had not been vacuumed before I arrived. The room was too hot when I arrived and the air conditioning was set to be 'centrally controlled' so I couldn't change it.
Nice place and centrally located Room wasn't very warm
From the second you set foot through the doors into the foyer, there was a great warmh of welcome as well as a very high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail on the interior design.
Friendly staff Difficult to struggle through the dorrs from the car park with suitcase, brief case, laptop and handbag!
Fine,it is good and the service is fine .the only problem is it is too cold inside the room, even if turn the air conditioner to 30degree
The whole experience was brilliant at a brilliant price too
Staff helpful and discrete Hotel was cold in places at times toilets on first floor were rather lonely, seemed strange that none on ground floor
very friendly and helpful staff, central location
Good staff on reception and in breakfast room Room was a bit cold - had to ask for a heater. Toiled for a long time to get internet access - when I queried with reception they said they had to "release" access - which was annoying as I wasted time trying to resolve. Would have been useful if there had been a notice in the room to this effect.
Excellent. Recent renovation makes for very smart, luxurious hotel. Staff were wonderful, very helpful. Restaurant also very good. Opposite RSC so location perfect. Worth a return visit.
Excellent staff, who really went out of their way to help. Nice coffee, shampoo etc. Little bit soulless like a barrats show-room- but nice.
Beautiful duel aspect room. Perfect location. Lots of nice little touches. No air conditioning
staff brilliant, room spotless upgraded to suite but the bathroom faced reception with ordinary glass in window had netting over but at night with the light on you could see in so felt uncomfortable having shower or bath
A wonderful relaxing place for a weekend break
The Arden Hotel is dedicated to making your stay special. I truly enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone.
Gorgeous room, amazing lush bathroom with bath and shower - brilliant location and really welcoming staff - a really luxury hotel. We weren't very impressed by the breakfast, it was a bit over-the-top pretentious meal when actually it would have been better just to have a good standard english breakfast, also it felt quite unrelaxed and a bit forced/overly posh.
Staff very friendly Breakfast only average
Beds and other room furniture fine, water hot, towels and soap clean and replaced as necessary and breakfasts good. Heating in room failed, and though we were given a fan heater this was not really satisfactory and we were not offered an alternative room.
The breakfast was fabulous, I had a job to finish it there was that much. Not being in the main building.
A family run B&B in an excellent location for the town centre and the station if arriving by train. Breakfast very good, if slightly on the small side if hungry. Rooms in need of updating but are very clean and comfortable. Loads of free parking.
i had booked a twin room on a lower floor. We were given the family room on the ground floor at the same price as the twin. Excellent! Lady that booked us in could have been more welcoming.
Very friendly, handy for town None
Friendly welcome and attentiveness Carpet in the bathroom
Freindly staff. Clean Rooms. Good location
Peace and Quite nothing
Very clean and modern and centrally located. Staff very helpful and pleasant.
Breakfast was very poor
near to town centre. friendly staff
Excellent facilities for a weekend break - car parking especially appreciated No
the hotel was very clean. staff were helpfull.and it was within waking distance of the town centre. the food was exalent
Just a clean and lovely well run hotel No
The breakfasts have been going there for a number of years and felt that the hotel under this management had lost the personel touch in service
Breakfast was very good. Hotel was quiet and had a good night's sleep. Efficient room service. Felt like a well-run establishment. Helpful staff. Location near the centre of Stratford - good parking so could just walk from then on. Logistics all worked for our theatre trip. Room was bland, dark and a bit dated - sort of up market rep.factory. Decor of public rooms was a bit depressing - fake gothic. Again dated. Not an inviting lounge area at all.
The bedrooms were of a nice design, the breakfast was very good, there was plenty of free parking. Had trouble with getting sky news on tv
Nice large rooms, good service, good food.
Staff very friendly and nice bar/restaurant Noisy central heating system
Staff were very helpful The food, to be avoided at all costs. My partner was served mashed potato that was still frozen.
Service and Comfort
Excellent service from all staff. Excellent food and restaurant facilities. Excellent ambience in bar and restaurant area. Spacious room layout. Free wifi and excellent car parking facilities. Felt safe as a single female guest. External light close to the window and only a thin blind meant that the room remained relatively light all night making it difficult to sleep. Pillows thin, hard and uncomfortable. Shower would not fully turn off and could be heard dripping all night - again making it difficult to sleep.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, big rooms. The room could have had a bit more lighting,
very quiet and romantic hotel to stay at stairs going to the rooms were very squeaky late at night
friendliness of staff also beside river location shower facilities were "tired" and need refurbishing
We loved everything about it, the food, beer and service was excellent. the room was clean and the location is very good for the Birmingham NEC which was the reason why we stayed at The Old Mill. The pub has loads of character as well. We would definitely stay there again There was nothing that we didn't like about it
Size of room, location of hotel, very comfortable
The location and setting of the hotel was superb. The room was very spacious and clean. The restaurant had a wonderful ambience and a good selection of food on the menu. Sitting outside, enjoying a drink, on the decking area by the river was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend the hotel to anybody looking for a quiet relaxing break.
Excellent food served by charming staff The rooms were very hot becuase it was not possible to open the window fully. This made sleeping rather difficult.
Nice hotel good food, nice bar. My top floor room had no cold water in the morning
This hotel amazed me and my friend when we stayed for one night. The facillities were more like a 5* rating, very large room with large plasma tv's. We spent afew hour in the spa to relax, afew drinks by the fire in the bar and found that the buffet breakfast was fantastic. We will certainly be booking here again for next year the room price was unbeatable in the area. nothing at all.
Breakfast & Dinner very good Good hairdryer in useful position No drawers in room
thee relaxed atmosphere
Very comfortable hotel and extremly attentive staff - would definately book again Breakfast great but evening meals very expensive and only one meal choice for vegetarians !!!
Great value, clean and well equipped rooms, excellent restaurant and bars. Welcoming reception staff
Access to gym, pool and spa facilities.
the room the arrangements at breakfast
Friendly staff, good food, and nice indoor pool.
Beautiful characteristic building, clean modern bedrooms, polite and helpful staff, great seafood restaurant, very close to Kenilworth Castle, close to many other great bars, restaurants and pubs. I eventually had to leave.
High quality feel to the room, quality textiles and linen. Excellent bed. Food first class. Will definately stay again. Although my room was beutifully finnished it was rather small - room 26. Brealfast service a little casual.
Absolutely superb idea mixing the hotel with a Loch Fyne restaurant. Excellent evening meal and superb kippers for breakfast. Couldn't believe some people were having bacon and eggs! Can't think of any.
Excellent room, clean, comfortable. Modern but plenty of character. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent food, dinner and breakfast. Not enough milk with tea-making kit. Motion detector in bathroom needs to be more sensitive to prevent blackouts. Don't need "muzak" at breakfast!
The hotel is ideally situated for my needs. It is pleasant, comfortable and quiet. Only a small point but it would be nice to be able to switch off the bedside lamp with a switch on the lamp rather than having to reach through the bedside table and switch off the power from the socket.
Comfortable bed, good breakfast.
Great on-site restaurant Parking behind hotel is difficult to find on arrival and has narrow spaces
We stayed here when dropping our son off at Warwick Uni. Very convenient for uni, and nice part of the world. Hotel is small but rooms are clean and well designed and restaurant is good. Particularly found the staff professional and relaxed. A good team. We have already booked our return.
The superb resraurant with excellent service and value I have none
church Farm Barns is to me the ideal place to spend time exploring Stratford and the surrounding area.
Fantastic location, nice clean rooms, welcoming, town centre is walking distance. Truly a five star stay and yes the breakfast was excellent! Highly recommended and will come back.
excellent facility with lots of quality furnishings. very close to the town centre and the pub in shottery village! the proprietors were friendly and welcoming. the bedroom doors need to have locks.
A very nice place to stay, ideally located for access to town and surrounding area. rooms were tidy, well maintained and tastfully decorated. Owners very friendly without being intrusive. only one comment. pillows were too soft!
A lovely warm welcome when we arrived and an equally nice room. We enjoyed our night here and felt very much at home. The place is very well done up with well maintained gardens.
the swimming pool and facilities
The swimming pool was very good and the man opened it up especially for me as they had listed the opening times wrong. The restaurant had very little menu choice. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The staff failed to make my wake up call making me late for attendance on our stand at a show at the nec. Not very happy. Was booked for two nights, only stayed the one!
The Leisure facilities and sauna were superb, very clean, with the staff being most helpful. The pool was really good. The reception staff were also very helpful in sorting out a colleague at their sister hotel nearby
Good environment and nice golf pitch. I found a spider on my bed.
Good hotel and good clean room and breakfast nice. I was asked for extra £20 pounds when arriving but it said on website all fees and service charges were included in the room charge but I got it sorted out by a member of my party.
The facilities were ok for the price...ie.Bar / Breakfast. and the hotel is fairly close to the NEC. The hotel staff in the Bar /Front Desk/Restaurant seemed bored and demotivated. There didn't seem to be many people staying at the hotel, so it seemed the were doing 'the minimum'
Great hotel and leisure club just wished i'd stayed longer to use them ! comfortable clean beds and towels breakfast was great and lots of it, would certainly stay again.had an event at the Motorcycle Museum which was really close. None
Due to our experience there was nothing to like apart from the view from the room. Bedspread in room 219 had holes. Went to Cellar Bar late pm prior to dinner - bar was full of 'gents' and very rowdy - eventually gave up and went upstairs with our drinks. Went to dinner to discover that myself and friend were the only females in the restaurant. Although only 7.45pm restaurant very loud as golf parties and stag do's in already - as obviously been drinking 'all afternoon' there behaviour was not suitable to being in a restaurant. Menu disappointing as it had half of the choices on it that the web site gave. Food poor quality - only canteen standard as obviously used to being 'churned' out in high volume for golfers and stags. Trouble in Cellar Bar late at night - drunk tried to intice husband into a fight.
We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable, it suited all of our needs, and the food was really good, if a little too 'arty' for our tastes.
Altho very near centre of Coventry, one would have thought you were in the country. Very friendly staff, fantastic Leisure centre and pool, choice of a restaurant or Cellar bar for food & drinks, very reasonably priced.
The staff were very nice, always helpful and cheerful too. The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. There were no minibar or air conditioning in the room. The drinks in the main bar was not serve with a bowl of nibble nor were you able to purchase it if you wanted to.
swimming pool It was more suited for business people.
LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS. LOVELY SETTING. CLEAN, CONTEMPORY ROOMS.
cleaniness and friendly staff no windows in restaurant, a pity given the location of the hotel
Very friendly staff both on reception and in the restaurant. I expected more in terms 'wow' from a four star hotel. The decor is dated and could benefit from an uplift.
Lovely, friendly helpful staff, lovely breakfast and plenty of it.
It was excellent value for money, the staff were very helpful and the food was very good. For a four star hotel the cleanliness of our room was not up to the standard I expected. For example the room was not hoovered during the course of the three night stay or if it was it was not done satisfactorily as various items were on the carpet throughout our stay
modern, clean room. Good food. Two choices of wine being 'unavailable'.
The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. I had disabled bathroom facilities which were excellent for my needs and spotlessly clean. The room was very dark as trees prevented much sunlight coming through the window.
location, friendly staff, clean stylish hotel.quick checkout. swimming pool area too dark, steam room not working, changing rooms dated.
It was very clean and modern, very welcoming, a joy to stay there. Wanted to stay a further night but you were booked up. Very good deal for the price we paid. will def come back again. The staff were very helpful and found us alternate accomodation for the extra night we wanted to stay. Although it was three miles away from the town centre this did not cause us any problems as it was such a lovely place visit.
