Staff were all friendly and helpful. Hair dryer available at reception was very powerful, and the shower was great too - stayed hot and was nice and powerful. Room was big and clean. Location was brilliant - 15 min walk max from anything we wanted to see/do, and right beside sights such as the Church of Holy Rude and the castle. Would stay again!
Beds left you a little sore after sleeping. Toilet in our room smelled, though not enough to be noticeable when the door was closed. Disliked that the shower was separated from the room with only a shower curtain - a door would be much preferred! Nothing to put me off staying again though.
Price, location, shared kitchen
The light is quite dark in the room
The walk from the train station
Staff were extremely friendly and we had a private room. The location was very central
The shower didnt have a door only a curtain
When I see the photos of the building, it scaring me a bit as I don't really like that style. However, I am glad that I book it. Though the building looks quite old / historic , you can't really feel it when you are inside. On the other hand, you could enjoy the benefit of the old style building such as very high ceiling, big window, etc. Like all Youth Hostel, there is a huge shared self-kitchen that is well equipped. Lots of plates, bowls, glass, knifes, pots & pans. There are three hobs in the kitchen so you don't need to worry there is congestion during peak hours.
It is very interesting that the shower place, toilet and the had wash basin are separated. Also, it is not very good on sound insulation as I was woken up at 6am when next door are checking out.
