Pros: The car ran fine, comfortable, service on pickup was excellent

Nice ride for the price
Pros: I liked the rate of the vehicle. It was nice and good on gas. I purchased their insurance as it was extremely cheap and covered what mine wouldn't (theft).
Cons: Thrifty representative wasn't available at my time of arrival and I was 15 mins late. It set me back 30 mins on my trip.

Waiting an hour for a previously reserved car
Pros: The car was clean and had a full tank of gas.
Cons: At the Nashville airport, there weren't cars available for pick-up as reserved. Waits were at least an hour. This was at Thrifty and the other rental places.

Pros: We rented a Kia Soul and loved driving it! It was easy to drive and park.
Cons: They attempted to clean the windows inside the car but ended up leaving a streaky mess. A car should never be rented to someone when you can't see clearly out of the windshield. Second, there was always a cigarette smell even thought the car was supposed to be smoke free. Several days later I notice a partially smoked cigarette on the front passenger floor between the seat and the door. Once I threw it out the car smelled better. I think cleaning was not done very well.

Pros: I liked nothing about it
Cons: I got dropped off at the rental company and my ride left, I waiting in a line for 25 minutes, when I got to the front to talk to the agent he informed me that they had no such truck that I had reserved. He said he realized that I reserved it but that didn't mean that they had it... which is completely ridiculous. It was not this man's fault and he was very apologetic and nice... but how in the WORLD do you reserve something online and get zero notification at any time that you are going to arrive and not get what you need. Especially a rental car company that services people that have no ride and make plans completely around using a vehicle to get from place to place. I rented this truck specifically because I had contractors and a project scheduled and needed to pick up some large items on a deadline. I was left with no ride, no truck, and hour out of my morning on a workday that I took off a few hours to pick up this vehicle... and was so upset. I ended up finding another rental company in person at Alamo, and the really nice woman felt bad for my situation and gave me an even better car for a better daily rate. So I will not be using Thrifty OR KAYAK to reserve a car as they do not check to see if they are actually available. Thank you

Pros: Received the type of car ordered. Car was clean. Check out was fast.
Cons: Long wait at counter. One person. Video check in you had to wait for a off site person. nothing was efficient.

Pros: My reservation was all set up and everything went smoothly. You had the perfect selection of vehicles to choose from. The staff was very helpful and professional. The return was quick and easy too. This was an awesome rental! Thank you so much. See you again real soon.

Pros: I had to change my reservation to couple times to the canceled flight, and the national office said I would have my reservation when I arrived in Nashville. It wasn't there, but the service professional Price matched it for me and got it all set up. It could've been very frustrating, but it was very busy instead. Plus he knew his game, we talked about us being on the same team. It was awesome. So the taller, dark complexion man was awesome.
Cons: Just that I spoke to somebody on the national line, it's supervisor who said my reservation will be active, and it wasnt. But you made up for it.

Pros: Even though flight was delayed twice and landed well past Thrifty's closing time, they stayed open for us. Also gave us larger car than requested at same price.

Pros: Car was fine.
Cons: Only 2 agents on duty in airport for Thrifty/Dollar, had a very long line, wait was excessive. Ditto for getting car out of airport, only 1 agent, many cars trying to get out, waited 16 minutes in line to take car out. Should have planned better for influx of people in town for eclipse.

Pros: I thought we would need 2 small cars for our large group plus luggage, but when I explained it to the fellow behind the desk he got us into a Dodge Journey which fit us. A little snug, but better and cheaper to rent than two cars.

Pros: Low price
Cons: Customer service was slow and poor. Agents took a long time chatting and wandering in and out of back door looking bewildered. I finally got up for my car and took the bait to go up one level in SUV. Was told "Jeep Grand Cherokee or similar". Got a Jeep Compass...whatever. We returned car and I accidentally took key with me. I ran back to kiosk and gave to attendant. He was rude and said-"you need to take to car". That was ridiculous. They could care less about customer. I rented from a competitor Couple days later in different city and was done in less than 3 minutes.

Poor organization, mixed bag on customer service
Pros: One lady who helped me when I was overcharged.
Cons: There were no mid sized cars available at pick up. Then when we went to take a full size car as directed, the keys were not in the car. Other customers were having the same problem and we're frustrated as well. It was not organized and they were understaffed.

Website is a disaster
Pros: The People at the airport were great .... easy to work with.
Cons: The KAYAK website was terrible. ... AND the Nashville Airport's drive-in "directions to the Rental Pickup" were non-existant .... the whole 'directions' system used by that airport is a bad joke.

Poor pickup experience.
Pros: The car we eventually received was clean.
Cons: We waited in line to get the car for 45 min. No apology for the long wait time. When we got to the garage to pick our car there were none left that we reserved. We opted for a compact instead on an economy and then waited another 10 min to get out of the garage. When we got to the booth, the man scanned our car and then told us the car we chose had been sold and shouldn't have been in the lot and we couldn't take it. Everyone behind us had to reverse so we could get out and go pick out another car. 2 hours later and 2 cars later we finally got out of the garage. A 30 min max process took us 2 hours and we were late by an hour and a half for the event we came for.

Watch the Pricing
Pros: Nice brand new car, comfortable and clean. Easy drop off.
Cons: Reserved car online, and at pickup they wanted to charge me double the price of my reservation due to "airport fees and taxes". When I showed my reservation that included tax, they did give it to me at that price.

Cons: Upgraded to a bigger car and the price was considerably higher. Also was told it would be something like a check Malibu but the only car available was a Kia. Did not feel it was worth the price

No real complaints
Pros: Got the car fast, no one in line in front of me. They didn't push the additional insurance, just asked if I wanted it. The car was brand new with a whopping 14 Miles on it. Getting the car was easy and the return was a breeze.

Cons: Was told to select 'any car' from the 'Standard' section in the parking lot. There was only one car in this section, it was a small Kia CUV. On my way out I stopped at the gate to show them my paperwork and made the offhand comment "This is a standard level car, right?" The gate attendant made a fuss about how I was taking an SUV and would be charged more even though I pointed out there were no other cars in the standard section of the lot. The gate attendant made me stand at the gate while he went and picked a car, made me move all my items over to the new car, and made people wait behind me while this all was happening. The WORST part of the experience was that I ended up with a car that someone had been smoking in. It was horrible to be in the entire trip because it smelled disgusting. I never would have selected the car myself, and certainly never would have accepted the car if I had not lost 20-30 minutes to the ridiculous scenario and was running late to meet a colleague. I realize this was somewhat just bad-luck, but I was very disappointed in the unprofessional manner of the Thrifty employee and the quality of the rental car provided to me.

Get the pictures correct!
Pros: Trifty was very understanding, but confused by the problem with 3rd party services.
Cons: Had to cancel after I made the reservation because the picture Kayak had a picture of an suv but was really a rental for a small car. Had to also cancel the next reservation because Kayak said unlimited miles, when I arrived at Advantage Rental to pick the car up, they said it was a 150 mile/day max. Very poor experience with Kayak.

Pros: The process was EASY and THE PRICE of the rental was great.
Cons: I loved the price of the rental but was disappointed that I had to go to another car rental because they would not take my debit card. They said I had to have a credit card.

Doing their best
Pros: It was late. Close to midnight. There was only one rep that took care of about 7-8 clients. The rep was cordial and accommodated the clients (including me) as soon as he could. I finally got to the rental area after much confusion from construction. I guess there was only one guy picking up and dropping off cars because it took a while (more than 10mins) for me to get my car. I must say despite all that happened, the Thrifty employees did their best. They were all courteous and helpful.
Cons: It took a little longer to get my rental. It took a little longer to pick up my rental.

Overbooked ash tray smell with an attitude.
Pros: The other people waiting in line were very pleasant, though just as frustrated as we were.
Cons: Waited in line for over an hour to get a vehicle because they had more people booked than they had cars ready to go. They made a point of telling us not to smoke in the vehicle, but when we finally got it, it smelled like a giant ash tray.

Pros: Having the GPS in the car was a great life saver. I'm sure we would never have gotten around as well and as quickly without it. It was also a great marriage saver. Chris & Tom

Pros: I had a good experience. The car was nice and the sales representative was helpful and knowledgeable. The price of the car was exactly as I was expecting it to be.
Cons: The line to check in to get the car was ridiculously long and slow moving. The insurance was almost twice as much as advertised on here when I got there.

Thrifty in More Ways Than One
Pros: The car was clean, modern, easy to operate and very economical. At less than twenty-eight dollars a day, I don't see how you could beat it. This was definitely one of my best rental car experiences.
Cons: Can't think of anything negative to say. The Nashville Airport needs better rental car return signage, particularly when coming back to the terminal.
