Toronto hotels near Sony Centre for the Performing Arts

Pros: The staff were amazing. I let them know that it was my partner's birthday and they made sure to upgrade us to a better room for the occasion at a staff rate price. They also sent up a complementary bottle of wine from the hotel to our door and it was such a nice surprise. Room service was very fast and everything was amazing.

Cons: There was nothing I didn't like! Everything was great.

Pros: The best thing about this hotel was the staff. Every person we came in contact with was so friendly and helpful. It was amazing.

Cons: For the price, and this could take into the prices for hotels in the area, I didn't think that the room was worth the price. The view was ok and the overall hotel room was ok. Not fantastic which is what I would expect for the price point.

Cons: iPad in the room was customized into not being iPad at all. Why misleadingly call it iPad? TV cable practically didn’t work (poor signal) - couldn’t watch movie or sports . Next time should take along an Apple TV or some such and just watch

Cons: I was asked at check in, if I would mind not having a bathtub. They should have asked if I minded a wheelchair accessible room to be completely transparent.

Pros: The hotel was lovely and the staff was so incredibly amazing. We traveled with our 1 year old and know it can be tough to have young and unruly hotel guests. They were so welcoming and made us feel like we were the only guests at the hotel.

Pros: As soon as I arrived , I was greeted with a warm welcome where I felt like I was home away from home. I told the concierge that it was my first time in Toronto and he upgraded our room to the lake side view. When I got to the room, I saw why he had upgraded to the Lake view was even more incredible than I had imagine

Pros: The staff is PHENOMENAL. Got sick and felt the genuine concern and attention given from everyone to get me well as quickly as possible. From the moment you arrive, the door attendants welcome you with warmth and efficiency. Amazing place to relax in pure luxury. Jordi at the front desk, was exceptional.

Cons: The manager woke me up at 2:10 AM to accuse me of texting hateful comment , which I did not, someone that had my cell number from 10 years probably texted that but the manager never apologize I will never go back there again after 20 years of business with One King WEst.

Pros: One King West is a lovely hotel , comfortable rooms especially the beds. The staff are very helpful and friendly and can not do enough for you. Excellent location downtown Toronto.

Cons: I was charged after-the-fact for a booking fee not by hotel but booking.com. When booking my reservation I obtained the number from the One King West website. The number connected me to an agent from booking.com. I asked questions of the agent and noted I wanted to book directly with the hotel. She essentially indicated that I was and that this was the only way to do it. I spent at least 15 very tedious minutes with the inexperienced agent whose first language was not English. She was disorganized and repeated everything 4 times on average while she was trying to figure out what she was doing. Among other things, she could not pronounce my name, did not know my firm’s rate with the hotel and quoted me a rate of about $144.00. I thought this was Canadian dollars; however, when I received my invoice in my room the morning of check-out I came to understand that the quoted amount must have been in USD. In reviewing my credit card statement for January, I saw the hotel charge but also a separate charge of $12.99 USD for a hotel booking service fee. If the hotel wants to outsource its booking to a third party agency that is one thing, but making it the only option and then passing it off to a customer directly and without any notice is beyond poor. Especially when the service was a vexatious waste of time and woefully deficient. I emailed the hotel about this but did not receive a response. I am not likely to book at this hotel or otherwise through booking.com in the future.

Pros: Outstanding service. Very friendly. Clearly an upscale hotel. First night I had an interior room. The second night (did a separate booking) I had an external room on the 32nd floor. Nic view if the city and the lake.

Pros: The place had a nice kitchenette, with even a washing machine and a dishwasher. Although I was only there for a couple of days, I can imagine it's excellent for traveling with family or a long-term stay. The staff, including the cleaning staff, were all super nice.

Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful. In suite laundry was major bonus to wash and dry running gear before packing into suitcase. Room comfortable, well appointed. Historical building was neat, lobby nice, convenient location downtown. Valet parking was expensive but necessary as there appeared nothing convenient around. Well suited to transit and walking. Views were fantastic from 36th floor suite, and gym was great, with super views, on 17th floor. Sandwich/pastry shop off lobby was good, Starbucks immediately across street.

Cons: No in suite breakfast option, so either be prepared (and make use of in suite kitchen), hit restaurant downstairs (which seemed expensive), or plan for pastry or coffee shop mere steps away.

Pros: It was a great location with nice, clean rooms and friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel for a Raptors game or downtown tourist weekend.

Cons: The lobby bar & restaurant weren’t attractive enough to want to stay on property for drinks or dinner.

Pros: The staff was always kind and helpful. We felt welcome our entire stay no matter the hour. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is in the perfect spot close to everything. I also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. I miss those croissants!

Cons: We stayed on the top floor and I kept hearing tapping and clicks which I believe were from pipes or HVAC. Not a huge deal but kept me awake sometimes because I'm a light sleeper. Just something to know

Loved our room’s little lounge area overlooking the CN tower and really enjoyed the pool facilities (especially the hot tub after a chilly night at the Christmas market!) Pros: Clean modern room right in the heart of Toronto's entertainment and shopping areas. Great food (not so great Caesar salad) in the dining room at a great value. Staff was very pleasant and the pet friendly floor was quiet and very restful.

Pros: Location was great walked or took subway everywhere. All staff that we talked to were super helpful and friendly.

Cons: Ac in room was loud. Felt like they were overcharging for parking, you could pay at the meter for 18 dollars a day (week day) and the said it was 33 dollars for in and out privileges. Might be more worth while if you have to go out alot or on weekends.

Pros: The hotel is in the perfect location. The staff was very nice and helpful. The roomsize, the bathroom size and the size of the bed are very good. We only had dinner twice in the hotel, but the service and quality of the ordered food was very good as well.

Cons: It would have been better to be able to open the window for fresh air and it would have been much better not to have the room directly next to the renovation side where work and loud conversations started outside our room at 08:00 am.

Cons: The lights that are attached to the wall near the beds were broken and some held on with electrical tape. Descriptions says newly renovated you won't expect there to be damages already or if anything replaced.

Cons: I was NOT notified of the construction being done - came to Toronto for doc apt and to relax during the day. Was sadly unable to do so from all the construction noise. Also disappointed to not be notified that the pool was closed.
