Thanks to Collin at the front desk, my stay was perfect! He not only upgraded my room, but he ensured me he'd personally handle my concerns and he did just that. The hotel is central to everything downtown and you can walk everywhere. Parking is a drag, as you must valet park and it takes a minimum of fifteen minutes to get your vehicle if you're lucky. It also cost 45.00 a night to park...
It was a total breeze from start to finish; Great location, Great staff, Clean, Quiet Comfortable!
Great customer service, excellent location, reasonable price for the room service and the entire stay, kitchenette with all gadgets you may need, great facilities... The only drawback was a somewhat noisy AC unit but that did not prevent us from sleeping in a very comfortable bed.
I really enjoyed the facilities and the proximity of the hotel. It was great that the hotel was attached to the PATH as well.
Breakfast nothing everything was excellent
Getting away Clean quiet
Location Rude staff that are very non accommodating. Very dated rooms
I love the design and functionality...the bed is soooo comfortable. Gym was small but nice. air conditioning unit was a bit loud, but not unbearable.
They're staff were very accommodating I got a bunch of random charges for 'custom package' and 'upgrade' charge and didnt even get the room i had requested and paid for! It ruined my stay because it felt like a waste of my money. I ended up going down to have them removed, upon check out I had to request the removal of the fees a second time
The amenities in the room were very nice; good entertainment and comfort. Great location to downtown core. Parking and access to the hotel is a little difficult, only because it's off Yonge St, the main street downtown.
Food and staff were excellent at the Bistro, and location was good. Water pressure was poor in shower and had trouble getting cold water in shower.
Great room, very clean and spacious. Excellent location walking distance to Eaton's Center, St. Lawrence Market and theatre district. Close to Porter shuttle hotel. Workout room was small and parking and drop-off area very busy. Breakfast very expensive at the hotel, but Starbucks located across the street.
We stayed at The Royal York nine years ago so it was so good to see that it was still a delightful place to stay. From our arrival everyone was extremely helpful and friendly and we were so pleased to see Alina in the York Station Bar after all these years....like meeting up with an old friend and her Martinis are amazing! Wish we could have stayed longer and looking forward to the next time. Thank you. Didn't make it in time for breakfast on our last day, our fault wanted to get the packing done and by then the deli-bakery did not have much selection. It was 10.30am. Not much of a complaint is it? PS Haven't looked at your guest reviews on website.
Promptness of the staff, concierge was very helpful
Centrally located, ability to get around downtown underground directly from the hotel, security Room was quite small, for the price would expect a few other in room items to be included like water bottles, robes and slippers, news paper
Location. Easy access to subway and buses.Good restaurant in the hotel and plenty of good restaurants locally. Can feel rather impersonal.
The staff are far superior to any other hotel starting with the most important dept. The doormen & valets. 100% friendly, professional & helpful! Nothing
Location (Toronto downtown) Noisy air conditioning; No light in the wardrobe room (one bulb missing, the other burnt; I had to ask them to fix the problem).
Size of room too small for my preference and too close to lifts heard noise all through the night. Kept me awake .
Location is great. Didn't have meals there but heard good reports. Bottom (fitted sheet) didn't fit the mattress and kept coming off.
Classic hotel, close to the train station and all of downtown. As always atreat to be a guest.
The facility was clean. The service was very good. The food was excellent. The room was ready early. The parking garage was convenient.
The staff were very efficient, the room was clean and well designed and the beds were amazingly comfortable! We also really liked the express checkout option which made catching a flight much less harried. No, I would definetely return.
We inadvertently left somethings in the car that was valet parked. Our bellhop brought our bags up and immediately helped us with our situation. In a few minutes our other items were up in our room. It was so effortless. I also loved how well staffed if was and how ready they were to help us with anything.
People very friendly...Jon twigg very kind to get door leading into our room fixed. Door didn't work..had to wait to get fixed. Room not ready when we arrived at 330pm, had to wait 20 minutes in lobby. Bed not turned down second night we were there. Hairs found in our bathtub..
The location is great. Short walk to everywhere and multiple places to eat nearby. Be aware that you HAVE to valet park, which costs $50 per night per car. They do not give you the option to park yourself.
Great location. Easy to walk to Harbor front, CN tower, Aquarium and more. All just 5 mins walk away, great for kids of all ages.
Location and comfort. Price
Not a thing
The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was big and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Staff was competent and very friendly. Concierge helped me several times and obtained discounted tickets to Aquarium and Hockey Hall of Fame. Hotel overlooks railway and train noise started early in the morning and was clearly heard in the rooms-go street side. No refrigerator or minibar in the room and no movies on TV.
Location was terrific Hotel system was down at check Iin. So didn't get to room until later. Ordered a cab for 5 people, 5 hours before we needed it and it didn't arrive. Staff ran around blaming others, but still no cab arrived for 5 people. 20 minutes later, we ended up taking two cabs. Next day (Sunday) we asked for a late check out of 1 pm (only an hour after regular checkout time). They said no, we could have until 12:30 only. The price of the room far exceeds the services provided.
Great hotel in a great location. Excellent staff and facilities. A very festive feel throughout with the MLS Cup in town along with the holidays. Would highly recommend.
Front desk staff, comfortable beds Room cleanup missed a couple items
Staff is really nice. Room had a great view and the hotel is located at the heart of the financial district and a walking distance from major Toronto attractions. Great to do business and explore the city. They charge extra for wifi. Free wifi is provided to some SPG members under conditions that are not consistent across Sheraton hotels.
The room and the view. The being woken up at 5:30 am by a fire alarm that went on for 30 minutes, only to have a jack hammer being used 2 hours after that. Barely anyone in the hotel spoke to us, and it took over an hour to check out and get my deposit back. Will never return.
Front desk staff was giving us wrong information to gain access to pool. We made 3 different attempts to the spa facility to try to use the pool on the 3rd floor & had our keys reprogrammed twice & later found out we were not using the right elevator for access. Then the Hot tub jacuzzi was out of order during our entire stay, but front desk was not aware of.
a lovely room and comfy beds, the staff very attentive and professional this days charging extra for wifi in the room seems excessive the water in the shower could be few degrees warmer for comfort
The staff was fabulous The carpet in the room was filthy. There was a red stain between the beds that was unacceptable.
We planned a quick trip to Toronto for our anniversary. We were just staying for the night with plans to take a dinner cruise along the Toronto harbor. The proximity of this hotel made it possible for us to walk to our cruise from the hotel. There was parking for our car in the City Hall parking lot directly across the street from the hotel. The room was clean and spacious and we got a very reasonable rate booking thru kayak. The hotel is located in the heart of Toronto's harbor front, which was great, but there was a Toronto Blue Jays game the night we checked in and the traffic getting to the hotel was pretty bad. In general traffic was extremely slow. Our drive from Rochester, NY to Toronto typically takes around 3 hours. We spent seven hours just getting to Toronto on the day we checked in. The NYS thruway was backed up. The Bridge to Canada was backed up. The QEW was backed up. And downtown Toronto near the Blue Jays Stadium was backed up. Just made for a stressful arrival.
Comfortable bed, clean, great location.
The pool and the view I like the service and the cleanliness excellent location
Very clean and comfortable, good lighting and great view. Exelent location to downtown entertainment, food and attractions. Ice box or mini fridge is always a nice for a stay but not included in the standard room. Cable included in room not easy to navigate.
It doesn't worth money. I give it 3 star place with 5 star price. See previous
service was great, the view was beautiful, the room was excellent. It seemed like the stars aligned for us, but that just may be the great service of the hotel. The weight room was great. The concierge made a reservation for us at this great restaurant downtown. I can't really say there was anything I didn't like about the hotel. I did a lot of research on hotels in toronto, and this was the highest rated and for good reason. If you're on the fence, go with Shangri-La
Convenience, and super friendly helpful staff. Location was very good. if you want to use subway to get around it is perfect. Would have like to have known remodeling was in process.
The hotel property was immaculate and was in walking distance to many places of interest such as Eaton Centre, St. Lawrence Market, Distillery area, St. Michael"s Cathedral, SONY Performing Atrs Center and many fabulous restaurants and bars. The employees of the hotel were motivated in making our experience a great one. The concierge staff were most helpful with their suggestions and directions.
could have used a cash machine somewhere in the building.
The rooms were big and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable; so comfortable that I bought one of their pillows. Only a shower, albeit a large one, but no tub. Room could have used more light.
Our room was spacious and comfortable. I did not realize that guests would have dogs in the hotel. I prefer a pet free location.
The room was great - nice, clean and large. Plenty of stuff within walking distance. Do the hop on hop off bus if you are visiting. needed a new mattress
Great hotel in an excellent location. The "hop on hop off" bus tour has a stop within 1 block of the hotel. Several good restaurants within walking distance.
The hotel is beautiful. Really did a wonderful job remodeling. Rooms are quite large with generous seating areas and extra large bathrooms. Location is great.
We were very impressed with The Omni King Edward from the moment we arrived. The service is impeccable. The lobby, rooms, elevators - everything, really - is first-rate. Our only regret was that we could only stay one night, since it was a quick weekend getaway. This was our first time in Toronto, and we will be back - at the King Edward. Valet parking, at CAD$40-45 per day, is a bit excessive. Since we were there on a weekend, it was easy enough to find on-street parking.
The room size, decor, free internet access, and friendly helpful staff Nothing
Staff very courteous and helpful. Great location.
Location, view, attentive staff. The design of the entrance is terrible. Stupid car ramp and whatnot. Also the wifi should be free.
Lovely room - very confmy bed. Lots of choice at breakfast. Good Location. When we arrived at the hotel, we were first given standard traditional view rooms despite having booked and paid extra for lake view rooms. Although this was quickly rectified. Also on checkout, the hotel tried to charge us the standard rate for the rooms - despite having paid in full already at an online discounted rate.
same location as conference
The room service breckfest was right on time in the morning and it was grate The hotel was the best that we stayed at so far service was grate
facilities of the hotel in general no
Proximity to harbour
Staff where very good Location great Beds where very comfortable No wifi in rooms
view of lake, valet parking
No one bugged us mark up on the food way to high
nice room, nice view
As soon as I arrived , I was greeted with a warm welcome where I felt like I was home away from home. I told the concierge that it was my first time in Toronto and he upgraded our room to the lake side view. When I got to the room, I saw why he had upgraded to the Lake view was even more incredible than I had imagine
Room layout, lighting, bathroom & view HVAC - too warm without windows that open
Nothing, I didnt stay there. They gave my room to someone else. Hilton booked me in an oversold hotel. After traveling 11 hours I showed up and they said i had no room! I paid for 2 nights in advance and it was PAID for. How could Hilton do this? I am a HiltonHonors member, being a member doesn't mean much to them, where is the loyalty? They gave my paid for room to someone else and told me to go find another hotel. UNBELIEVABLE!!
Facilities were excellent and the staff helpful
Great location Easy check in Dated rooms Not sound proof - could hear everything in hallways and on road (I.e. Sirens) No fridge in room Bathroom was very old - needs to be updated badly
I enjoyed the friendly and professional staff. If you drive into town with a larger vehicle, you will not be able to park onsite. Parking in other locations becomes costly.
staff quality of the rooms, old bathrooms, no minibar
Unfortunately due to a late flight, I got in at almost 3:00 AM. They put me on the 26th floor. They didn't tell me there would construction starting on the 26th floor at 8:00 AM. It was terrible. The hotel was not sold out either... It was loud and very difficult to try and get that extra 30 minutes of sleep I needed...
very clear, affordable, and walking distance from downtown Why would Hilton not offer free WiFi these days for international travelers?
Close to everything downtown, one block from subway, clean, modern, friendly helpful staff. A little expensive but that may just be the prices in Toronto.
Location to my business The room facilities were below average. No Fridge. Not able to open window for fresh air.
Great stay, nice pool, jacuzzi and sauna. rooms were big and comfortable.
Beds were very comfortable. Carpets were a little dirty
Location Rooms could have been cleaner
Comfortable room, with amenities. Staff friendly. Convenient to convention center. Faucet may have been a bit leaky. Didn't love the bedding, but got used to it.
I enjoyed the quality of the room, th ebed was especially comfortable. the spa closed early and the prices of in room dining was out of proportion of Canadian hotel prices.
Rooms were clean and nice. Staff was professional and courteous. Nothing
The service and styling is spot-on, generous room size and appointments that made the price good value
their rooms are very clean. their lobby's workers are very kindly. their restrant's workers have a poke face.
Ease and comfort checking in and out. Facilities are fantastic!
best value, great location, upscale, would stay nowhere else in downtown Toronto price of two drinks in the bar, asked for a glass of wine and a scotch and got a bill for $38
Friendliness of staff, good breakfast, excellent room.
Location, good service at the reception, proximity to convention centre and train station. Great view in room 2500. Nothing
The quality of the hotel for bthe price. The inclusion of breakfast was a great plus.
Friendly staff, value for money and very clean Nothing not to like
I compared alot of hotels for our long weekend visit to Toronto. The Cambridge seemed to offer the best value as far as price, location, and you get a suite not just a room. The room were clean, and recently refurbished. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very firm, but we prefer it that way. The hotel has a strictly enforced no noise policy, which is something we appreciated. We were able to get the rest we needed after very full days taking in Toronto. The temperature in the room was a little on the warm side. Not uncomfortable, but we would have preferred it a little cooler. Weather outside was in the 90's. Turning the thermostat down did not seem to help.
The room that we've stayed in is very clean and tidy. I also appreciate that there's two LCD tv in our suite...I think its a bonus! As a guest of the hotel, why do we have to pay for parking?!
The Location Yes, the club is not as should be, it is just name
The Cambridge Suites has been reliable. It is close to many attractions and not hard to get to. It is VERY convenient that you can leave your car there until 6:00 after check-out.
When we booked the hotel there was indoor pool and restaurant . But they have only hottub which is great by the way. After booking , we get an email that restaurant will be closed. That wasnt fair really. Otherwise this is our second stay at cambridge Stafff really nice . Water drain in the living room never got fixed despite complaining. rooms are spacious.
Exceptional hotel. No breakfast included.
Everything was great Everything
We stayed at the Cambridge Suites as part of a weekend getaway. In the heart of downtown and right around the corner from Massey Hall, the Cambridge Suites was withiin walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The suite was spacious and offered every convenience. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linens clean and crisp. The room was very quiet and the staff was most accomodating. We would definitely stay here again.
Very user friendly, excellent service! None!!
The room was big even with 2 queen size beds, with good closet space. The bathroom facilities were excellent. The hallways carpets are stained and old.
Very convenient. Close to St. lawerence Market, Air Canada Center, restaurants. I would totally stay here again
It was very close to the ACC which is where we were headed. We were "??upgraded" apparently, and, because of the "upgrade" we did not get the type of room we wanted.
Bed and Tv were good. Didn`t find the staff particularly helpful Thay didn`t have the right size of room we had prbooked, and expected i would accept an inferior room, and when i stood my ground managed to find a king room . There was no apology. The internet facility was not working, and they were unwilling to send a message to my family,.Generally not the kind of place i would return to even though rooms were ok.
We like staying at the Novotel Toronto Centre as it is central to our places of work and is a nice evening walk from the theatre either on Yonge Street or on King Street. The room was crisp and clean, we are only in the room to sleep and shower the rest of the time we feel we should be experiencing the city.
The room was very clean, quiet, and spacious. It was overlooking the main road, and close to Union station. The breakfast was excelent as a quality and diversity. I faced some rude staff at Nicole Cafe during my breakfast. They were rude and unfriendly enough to make me complain for the Cafe manager who showed cold and neutral response which I don't care for her, as I wouldn't try to go for that hotel again.
The hotel is well located, and I appreciate the free Wireless.
Easy access to places that I wanted to visit The carpet need to be steamed or replaced
The staff was really nice and helpfull.
The spa was closed for renovations while I was there, which would have been valuable information to know beforehand. But the hotel itself is a dream.
Location, size of room, finishings very high end, quiet but right downtown.
Beautifully appointed room, very helpful concierge. Great food and meal service. No elevator, no mini-fridge in room, no ice machine. Late checkin (4 pm) and early checkout (11 am).
