Cons: Fighting the closet door, bathroom door and main door! Bathroom was very nice , but the shower water continually leaked to the floor because if the glass door design. Housekeeping got their daily service completed only one day. I started calling to tell them to service the room. One night they tried to service the room at 10 pm and continually knocked at 8 to do the same

Pros: It was close to everything! We were given comp passes for drinks and get a free pedicure (with a spa service). The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
Cons: There’s no gym (although Equinox and Soul Cycle are literally around the corner. The bar was only open 8 p.m. to midnight, which meant you’d probably never go...

Pros: Somehow completely comfortable, yet a little bit luxurious and exclusive. Soft sheets, giant beds, fluffy pillows and bathrooms big enough to do yoga in. Putting out hot cider and gingerbread men (and other cookies), the lobby offers tangible welcome. The pool is understated LA glam, and the Morrison Hotel Gallery offers rock & roll iconography from the best photographers of the last sex decades.
Cons: Nothing.

5.4 OK
Pros: The location was convenient to the end purpose of our stay.
Cons: The staff were poorly trained. We didn't deal with one person who seemed to even act like they cared we were. We travel a lot, and the way the staff behaved put them in the bottom 25% for customer service skills.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff at check excellent. Location next to Staples Center. One block from the 'Pantry' historic diner.
Cons: Ordered lamb meatballs at the bar and they were barely warm. TV in room has mostly grainy low definition channels. Scanning room key in elevator to access floor worked after the third attempt. I won't stay here again. Expected more from this brand.
5.1 OK
Cons: Valet parking staff was rude
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is GREAT! Except parking expenses in the area. Try not to drive if possible. Brian
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Clean, modern, friendly staff (at least the ones I had contact with). Convenient location for LA Live events obviously, which was our reason for staying here.
Cons: A bit overpriced if you ask me. The parking is absolutely ridiculous!!! $42 a night! I've paid less for rooms! For the price you pay to stay here parking should be free or at best a minimum fee for guests since there are no alternative parking areas. Room service, way overpriced as usual but the added fees and taxes are ridiculous and the food is just ok.
7.4 Good
Cons: Hot water was not working at all. Fixed by the morning but too late for evening activities. Nice to have a coffee shop open so early and the pool area was delightful. Friendly staff.
5.7 OK
Pros: Close to stapled center
Cons: No hot water in the room on Friday afternoon, after a day at the gym, and pool. So we went out to dinner and Clippers game without a shower on Friday night. Once returning that night we finally had hot water shower, however no air conditioning. We called 2 times and no one came up to help. No manager response, no nothing. Also cold, hot tube at the pool during the day. Last, gym was closed so we had to go to front desk for key to adjacent hotel in order to use their gym. I’ve stayed at Marriott at least a dozen times before and always consistently great facilities. Eg. Times Square, union square, Anaheim, San Juan. This one had too many problems in one day.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: While the staff was outstanding, the peace and quite was priceless, especially with the chaos of LA Live!
Cons: The mattress was a little firm for my liking, but the bedding was exceptional!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. It is a very nice hotel, and we had a lovely stay. Met all of our needs
Cons: The staff at the pool were a bit rude and not attentive. Took about 45 minutes to get our drink and food after we ordered it, and no apologies were given.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love everything about this hotel ,great staff great view beautiful hotel
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Staff is friendly and effecient.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice and bed was comfortable.

Pros: The building and decoration is great. The furniture, excluding the bed and television and bath, are nice.
Cons: The previous occupiers dirty linens were in the living room on checkin (6pm). The staff were apologetic though and it did assure me that the sheets were changed so that is nice. The bathroom wasn’t clean. There was a bunch of hair around from a previous occupier. The bed was all springs and no padding. Television didn’t work. Breakfast in room was oatmeal and a waffle for $35. It was cold and sad when it got to me. I wouldn’t stay again.

Pros: The room was ready and clean! The staff were friendly and attentive. We were only there overnight but it was very nice, quiet enough and clean (which to me is the most important feature)!
Cons: Nothing, it was all good
6.8 Good
Pros: Terrific location, amazing staff: Lincoln & Jack could not be nicer. Well appointed rooms and facilities
Cons: The card key system is a CONSTANT irritation. It won’t open your room door consistently and you need to go back to the front desk. The parking gates that use the same key never worked right. Replace the key system and you’d rate close to a 10.

Pros: Very clean. nice staff. They put us in the room with the nicest view. The bed was very comfortable. Check out process was very easy, too.
Cons: It was supposed to be a private balcony, but it was too open to the next balcony. There was no dividers between the balcony to balcony, so if the guests in the next room wanted to, they could just hop over to our balcony. It didn't feel safe.

Pros: Beautiful hotel with very classy people that are there to help you with anything you may need.
Cons: Our room was beautiful but felt like there wasn't enough vanity space in the bathroom.

The Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey - Marina del Rey - Building
15
8.9 Excellent (1,329 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Built in 1991, The Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey sits on one of the largest human-made harbors in the country. With a waterfront location on a harbor, business travelers and boating enthusiasts are the main clientele at the hotel. The Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey is located in Marina Del Rey, on the water but not the beach. Just a short drive to Santa Monica and Venice and a painless drive to the Los Angeles International Airport, the hotel attracts business travelers who enjoy the upscale chain's rewards program and its consistent luxury. However, a 10-to-20-minute drive will take sightseeing guests to public beaches, shopping malls, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood Boulevard. Most of the clientele are there for events ranging from business meetings to bar mitzvahs to weddings, and the hotel offers ample facilities to accommodate them with more than 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space, including a beautiful wedding gazebo. There is also a lovely pool, nice spa, fitness center, two tennis courts, and a free business center. A delicious restaurant is on-site offering New American cuisine, and a poolside restaurant and bar also caters to guests. Accommodations at the Ritz are spacious and feature standard rooms with good sleeping options and features like Frette linens, featherbeds, and Bulgari toiletries. The Ritz brand is not known for its striking style, and the rooms at this hotel are highly nautically themed. While staying at The Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey, guests can wake up and walk out the back door to the water. However, the water only features docks and boats, perfect for boaters and business travelers needing a fresh start to the day.

Pros: I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T

Cons: I booked this hotel because they had balconies and it was near the water. The balcony was closed due to renovations. The bath tub was small , hotel was a little outdated. Not as special as a experience as I was hoping for
7.4 Good
Pros: Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel.
Cons: Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel staff was outstanding; from valet, front desk & concierge all the way through to pool attendants, room service and bell desk.
6.0 Good
Pros: I like the avalibiliy of the staff
Cons: For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much
6.2 Good
Pros: Nice place, but not worth the Ritz premium. I would stay at the JW Marriott in Santa Monica next time I'm in the area.
5.4 OK
Pros: Marina
Cons: Totality , needs upgraded , bathrooms , amenities , need more restaurants .
5.4 OK
Pros: the location
Cons: room service food. the french soup was disgusting. There was also no glasses in the room. time it took to get the food valet parking took 15 mins to get our car

9.4 Excellent
Pros: everything. except the elevators were broken. truly hurt me. both elevators probably won't effect your trip but it made mine difficult.
Cons: besides the elevators, the parking is a bit far but okay. everything else is awesome.
7.1 Good
Pros: The room, the bed, pillows, shower, and the size of the safe.
Cons: The daily parking fee of 22.00 and the additional 2.00 for taxes . Our card didn't work in the parking meter. We had to go another one. The a/c vent next to the bed was loud and the a/c kicked on.
7.1 Good
Pros: Hotel was beautiful and very clean. Pool was small, but the pool area was amazing, with cafe style seating in one corner, pool-side service, and a walk-up bar.
Cons: The shower had some small sketchy spots in the grout and the plate on the showerhead was loose so there was a hole showing. There was also a hole in the bathroom wall that was loosely covered by one of those plates you put behind a door so the doorknob doesn't make a hole...At check-in we weren't provided with a trolley schedule so we showed up at 730pm to find out the trolley only runs every hour except at 8pm so we had to Uber to City Walk. Additionally at check in we inquired as to parking costs and we were told that self-parking was $22 and we wouldn't be charged for a second day as long as we were out by midnight. We actually had to pay for half a day.
6.0 Good
Pros: Convenience. The wedding we attended was held in the gardens of the hotel. Lovely garden, great service.
Cons: No robes in the room. View of the parking lot not particularly inspiring. Noise from the highway annoying. Food not great. Restaurant VERY noisy, food below average. If you are without a car, you are kind of stuck. Swimming pool very crowded, good job we had no intention using it.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Little pricey.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel would stay again.
6.2 Good
Pros: Staff
Cons: Noise Fans Tiny balcony Price
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Short trip with my boys to CA; Universal Studios was our destination. Garland's relaxed vibe was great. Boys loved the movie at the pool. Trolley to the park made it effortless for mom. Restaurant take-out at the pool made dinner easygoing. Pancakes were amazingly yummy. Room was comfy and trendy decor. Garland made this getaway super relaxing.
Cons: Would suggest movies at the pool every night- the desk said only on weekends but keep in mind any day of the week traveling with kids is a weekend for us.

5.4 OK
Pros: Rooms are cool, looks nice overall.
Cons: I chose this place in large part because it had a rooftop pool in downtown LA. The Sunday after we stayed there we tried to use the pool at 12pm but all the lounge chairs were put away or closed off and removed from the pool. We were told because of a pool party at 4pm no lounge chairs could be out by the pool and needed to be held for it. When I asked if we could use just 2 to hang by the pool for 1 hour and that I would pay, they said they would check with their manager. I waited about 30 minutes for that person to get back to me then saw them walking by doing something else with no manager in sight or answer. We split and went home. Also, purchased room through Kayak paid the additional amount to get breakfast included. Ordered from room service and told them we had that deal. They delivered breakfast and charged us. When I spoke to management they said that I needed to go to the restaurant to order the breakfast that I paid for through the Kayak reservation. When I told the manager we let them know about it when we ordered room service on the phone and they never told us we had to go down to the restaurant, she referred me to bring it up with Kayak. Service is absolutely the worst considering the inflexibility on food ordered from the same cooks and bait and switch on a pool amenity that you can't you because of a party in 4 hours.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, big room, i especially enjoyed the remote heater function it was my favorite room amenity.
Cons: My first night, I awoke at midnight to a very loud fire alarm which was blasting in my room through a speaker. I walked down 17 flights of stairs and only when I got to the first floor an employee brushed it off and said it was a false alarm. The second night, same thing happened but this time it was a 3am fire alarm. I was wide awake, heart racing for hours, I didn’t get much sleep between both nights. They did, however, comp my room service so that was attentive and a nice gesture. I appreciate them doing that without me having to ask for things in return to make it better. Sleep is the main purpose of my hotel stay and if you can’t get a good nights sleep, why am I even there? It just really left a bad taste for me, even though the staff and hotel was perfect. Not sure I’d go back.

Pros: The hotel staff was very helpful, and the restaurants on the 1st floor were good options to get inexpensive food. The room we stayed in was very spacious having a full kitchen and living room. A big plus was USB charging ports just about everywhere you could imagine.
Cons: The only negative was that we found candy bar wrappers in the bedside tables in the bedroom. Other than that everything was clean.

6.5 Good
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I was over billed and nobody return my calls.
5.4 OK
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Forced to use service elevator as normal were out, the service elevator dropped multiple feet scaring all inside, then there was no power in the room and sat in darkness. We left halfway through the night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A heavenly night's sleep every night and an intelligent automated elevator system to prevent the "checkout rush hour waiting disaster." All the staff went above and beyond when they realised I had a rough time following the luggage mis-routing during the first two nights of stay.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at the Sheraton downtown to be within walking distance to a hockey game at Staples Centre. The hotel location was great for this. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a renovated room which was very nice. The Sheraton hotels always seem to have the most comfortable beds in any hotel. The bed was the most comfortable of all the hotels we stayed at during our week long vacation. Linens and towels were great as well.
Cons: We did not like the fact that we had to pay for wifi. A hotel of this star rating and price should have complimentary wifi for guests, especially since it is located downtown and I presume there would be many guests there on business. We also found that when we attempted web access without wifi that there was little reception on the 21 floor, so we were without web access that day. Our room was located 2 doors away from the elevators which was noisy. The water pressure in the shower was quite terrible.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Would stay here again for a stay cation. Near all great restaurants. The lobby is gourgeous. Interesting tech for elevators.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Green option to get points, guest services, room was clean, nice gym
Cons: Nothing too serious. Weak shower water pressure, some light bulbs were out... maybe brand bath products?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall experience/ patio
10.0 Excellent
Pros: King size bed, big screen tv and at kayak price 100 less per day. 200 a good price per day.
Andaz West Hollywood - West Hollywood - Building
20
8.8 Excellent (1,836 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Andaz West Hollywood has a very special place in history as the first hotel built on the Sunset Strip. As the original, the Andaz attracted celebrities of all kinds during the '60s, especially musicians. Today, it keeps its eclectic charm and offers a different kind of aesthetic than the glitz and grandeur of nearby Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The Andaz has remained a singular hotel, with local art up on the walls and trippy, eclectic furniture through both the lobby and individual rooms. Andaz West Hollywood has several different rooms and suites guests can stay in. The Standard & Deluxe rooms can be reserved with either a two queen or single king setup and come with magnificent views of nearby Los Angeles. Guests can enjoy a fun and stylish bathroom and even a separate sunroom. There are two specials rooms that visitors can book if they want to take their vacation up a notch. The first is the 1,400 square foot penthouse suite with a private balcony as well as separate dining and living areas. The other is the (ANDAZ)RED Suite, where everything from the linens to the furniture is especially high-end. The most notable thing about this room, though, is that 30% of the rate is given to the RED organization to fight AIDS. Andaz West Hollywood has its own fantastic restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. Riot House has an open-kitchen concept with playful dishes that are meant to delight and inspire patrons. Some of the house favorites on the menu include slow-roast Scottish salmon, Mary's Farm chicken breast and the Riot House burger topped with smoked aioli, bacon, avocado and aged cheddar on a brioche bun.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Rooftop pool can't be beat, nice rooms, awesome staff, great location. Great time!
Cons: Switched rooms because we had a room next to the elevator, where you can hear the elevator swooshing up and down all day & night. They were great about switching rooms and now we know to request not to have a room ending in "01" on our next visit.
6.0 Good
Pros: Liked the lobby, free water and snacks. Great sunset view.
Cons: Rooms were outdated and looked used... not fresh. So much potential.
7.7 Good
Pros: Really cool hipster vibe
Cons: Staff amazing friendly efficient made me feel very comfortable
7.7 Good
Pros: The views are amazing. Bed very comfortable. Free snacks and sodas, nice touch.
Cons: Penthouse is deceiving. It is the top floor, but compared to the lower floors there are NO floor to ceiling windows and you lose about four feet of room space as there is an odd overhang outside the penthouse level.
4.5 OK
Pros: Put simply, this is a dumpy hotel with cheap face lifts to the rooms...you are paying for one thing and one thing only, the address of "Sunset Blvd" It's way over priced for the cool factor you actually receive. The visual shots try to make it look like a trendy boutique hotel but the rooms and facilities are lipstick on a pig. I had the same experience at The Standard. The W Beverly Hills or SLS Beverly Hills will give you WAYYYY more cool, hip and chique factor while actually delivering high end facilities, quality rooms, etc
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Swanky comfortable & clean, great rooftop pool area
Cons: Expensive parking, would’ve liked it to be included in the room rate quote.
