Phone access during rental non-existent
Pros: Needed to extend rental. Called for 3 days, both national and local numbers. All forward to answering system that no one answers. Left messages and sent emails with no response. Still have the car. Don't even know if they're still in business.

Lied to at Pick Up - unacceptable
Pros: The vehicle itself was good, drop off was speedy and virtually no wait for the shuttle to the airport (although the latter possibly by chance).
Cons: I have hired cars all over the world during my travels but never been bare faced lied to about 3rd party insurance. My credit card covers me for insurance and has worked out fine on 4 different continents so I didn't want to buy any further insurance. "CJ" at Advantage told me, and I queried with him to make sure he chose his words carefully, that it was 'obligatory'. It is not.
I wish that I had seen the other reviews before booking as it is indeed much wiser (and will probably end up less expensive) to use a reputable company instead.

Cons: Terrible service, waited over an hour in line to pick up car. No apologies, seemed like business as usual to the staff. Car was filthy, clearly not clean for several weeks.m Avoid this place at all costs!

If you want to miss your flight book with Advantag
Cons: These people simply don't care. When I collected the car, the exit gate was jammed for 15 minutes and nobody could get out. They didn't bother telling anybody. When I dropped off the car, I forfeited filling the quarter of a tank so I wouldn't miss my flight. Then I waited 15 minutes for a courtesy shuttle to leave. The driver was on a break and told others he would be back 10 minutes ago. So I booked an uber got to the airport and missed my flight by 2 minutes. Never, ever again will I use this company.

Pros: Price was good
Cons: Was hit with almost $10 refill when i returned the car. There was definitely nothing i signed or any signage in the facility that warned me of it

Cons: Took forever to get picked up at airport. Had to call 3 times. Car was not in assigned space, causing us to go back and get another, the car we got was dirty outside, and there was dog hair all over back seat.

Terrible Customer Service
Cons: The employees seemed more concerned with checking their cellphones than doing their actual job. The pick-up process took longer than 30 minutes with only 3 people in line, and when we finally reached an Advantage employee he was slow, rude, and entirely unhelpful.

Cons: i left my phone in the car after few time calling the company back asking them to look for it they claim the car was gone less then one hour they just never looked cause it was there cause i used the gps on the phone to get back

Cons: Waited for a shuttle for 30 min. Every other company made travel to and from the airport fast and easy, advantage clearly made no effort
Pros: it drovewell and trunk and doors had different locks
Cons: they told me alliance insurance was not a good insurance

Cons: They forced on me buying a full tank even if I explicitly told them I didn't want it, because "it was part of the deal" -- except the fact that then I reread the coupon I had and it was not like that.
My car had a missing parcel shelf.

Pros: Price and the size of the trunk for luggage

Pros: Really the best experience possible. Didn't have to wait for the shuttle at LAX, didn't have to wait endlessly in line to check out the car, the car was clean and new, the staff all very courteous and attentive, the check in was quick and didn't have to wait for the shuttle back to the airport. I have rented from many other companies in LAX, never as good as this. Oh, and renting through KAYAK I got a great price..

Pros: We waited 25 min at LAX international terminal for pickup after we arrived. All other agencies came by at least twice during our wait.
We're told to go out to compact car area and we would be assisted. Had to search for assistant.

Worst Customer Service, ever.
Cons: I collected the car, and the man at the desk had added $110 dollars worth of added extras without asking me. I spoke to customer service and they told me i'd have to go back, when I did so the woman was rude and disrespectful. She told me the manager could fix this problem but he doesn't want to, and told me I 'gotta do what i gotta do' in reference to complaining to my credit card company. She went on to tell me the added extras were actually compulsory under Californian law because I have an English accent. Finally when I thought there was resolution after making some fuss and noise, they closed the booking and reopened a new one with an inflated day rate and all of the extras added again, and also changed the drop off point to a different location. The worst service I have ever had.
Cons: Drop off was weird and time consuming and far from the shuttle

Cons: Shuttle service did not pick up every 10 minutes. It didn't seem like any employees cared when asked by multiple customers.

Cons: When I tried calling the desk when I first arrived, nobody would answer the phone. That was not a good first impression.

They don't seem to care much about the cars
Pros: The car was unwashed but the interior was fine. Return was professional.
Cons: First car had the entire side view mirror ripped off. Refused it immediately in the parking lot and got a new one without any apologetic attitude. Seems like they could care less about the car or the customer for that matter.

Awesome cat rental
Pros: I am very impressed with E Z car rental. The shuttle bus was prompt and very frequent to and from airport. Drivers very friendly and helpful. The customer service agents at E Z car rental were extremely friendly and helpful. They even gave us a two car upgrade for free. The price was excellent. I will definitely use them again!! Thanks E Z car rental LAX!!

One of these guys didn't do his job and I had to p
Pros: The car was fine, although I booked a more fuel-efficient model.
Cons: We were stuck at the airport waiting for misplaced luggage and therefore called E-Z Rent-A-Car to let them know we would pick up the car later than expected. After we recovered the luggage and fared to the rental office, the clerk tells us the system automatically cancelled our reservation after two hours. What about the phone call I gave them, ask I. There's no note of it in my reservation, says he. He adds, unfortunately, that he doesn't have economy vehicles left so he has to upgrade us to a higher model. At a cost. One of these guys didn't do his job and I had to pay extra for the mistake. Mistakes happen, but they could have provided a car at the original price. They did not, so I won't be renting from them on principle.

Reservation times inaccurate, then cancelled
Cons: Even though my Kayak search was for a rental car pick-up at 11:30pm, the reservation time was made for 11pm. Since my flight didn't land until 11:20pm, and after waiting for the EZ Rental Car shuttle for 20 minutes, I didn't arrive at the rental facility until about midnight. I waited in line for 25 minutes and when I got to the counter they had cancelled my reservation because they only hold it for 1 hour from the pick-up time (which had changed to 11pm somewhere between Kayak and EZ). I had reserved an economy car, but they were out, so I had to pay for the more expensive car, an increase of $40. The return shuttle on the way back to LAX was very slow- we waited at least 30 minutes for a ride. Several shuttles went by the stop with no explanation as to why they didn't pick us up- the rental counter said those drivers were probably off duty.

I will not use E-Z car rental in LA again
Cons: Pick-up instructions were very vague. I waited at the car rental bus pickup for 30 minutes. When no one arrived I called and was told I needed to pick up the Sheraton bus. This was not disclosed on the pickup instructions.
When i finally got my car, the passenger side door was all scratched up and the interior seats were stained. I accepted the car anyway.
When I was ready to return the car the battery went dead at the gas station and I had to buy jumper cables to start the car. I told them this when I checked the car in and there was no offer to reimburse me.
Not the car I booked...Sat NAv was a waste of time
Pros: Brand new car
Easy drop off
Cons: Was a smaller model than booked - I booked a Jeep Cherokee or similar - got a Jeep Patriot which is considerably smaller.
Added the GPS - waste of time! The signal constantly dropped out and then tried to re-route taking us off course. If we'd have followed the instructions we would never have got out of LA!
