Dear KAYAK Customer Support, I am writing to formally complain about a recent car rental booking made through KAYAK. Upon arriving to pick up the vehicle, I was informed that the car was not allowed to be taken outside the state of Nevada. This restriction was not disclosed anywhere during the booking process, and had I been aware of it, I would not have proceeded with the reservation. As a result, I wasted a significant amount of time and was unable to use the rental at all. Additionally, I was surprised to learn that the booking did not include unlimited mileage, which further contradicted my expectations when making the reservation. Due to these undisclosed limitations, this booking was unusable and represents one of the worst experiences I have had using KAYAK. I believe this situation resulted from incomplete or misleading information provided at the time of booking, and not from any fault on my part. I am therefore requesting a full refund and an explanation as to why these critical restrictions were not clearly stated upfront. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this matter. Mandated that I accept the collision damage insurance when my premium credit card offers that insurance. I’m addition, I had the declaration form. This was not specified by Kayak or the rental company when booking the car. Third party liability was approved.Reviewed 22 Apr 2025

I rented a car via kayak and asked for a seven seater. I was offered a 5 seater. I complained and they explained me it was an internet error. I argued and then was offered a 7 seater as “commercial gesture”but it was a mistake from me they told me 4 times. I was charged more than 300$ for insurance and liability plus the 170 $ of the rental. It was really expensive for a 3 days rental. People were rude too.Reviewed 2 Jan 2025

Waited 40 minutes for a shuttle on arrival. Tried calling the office multiple times to let them know but no answer. When I returned the car, the shuttle drove straight out of the gate without stoop to pick me up to take me to the airport. Took 45 minutes to return and I almost missed my flight.Reviewed 9 Jul 2024

Bad experience, they asked $500 for deposit but never told you, they charge over $20 if you use Debit Card, they won’t honor insurance that i bought through Kayak so I have to pay extra for insurance again. I would not book car rental again from them. Be careful.Reviewed 28 Jun 2024

I like the rate. I did not like that my insurance card had to be presented because my insurance card lives in my personal vehicle. This was the first time renting a car that my I had to present the insurance card to rent the car. Also I was not happy that the car insurance i paid for on the web site was not accepted by Green Motion. i had to purchase additional insurance to rent your vehicle. I also did not like that once inside the rental facility the line stated "U-Save" and not Green Motion. Please clarify that it is the same agency in the future.Reviewed 29 May 2024

Place is a dump, which immediately raised concerns, but the big issue was the agent's trying to upsell constantly. Specifically, they insisted on providing us "collision only" coverage at $23.99 per day unless we could provide them with the declarations page on our insurance coverage. Being a Saturday the insurance company was closed we had a real problem. My wife was eventually able to find an email from the company confirming our coverage with the deductibles (which was what they were really after). We got it resolved, but only after escalating to a supervisor. What we observed with the other customers was more of the same thing - hard sell. Not surprising given the rates, but we won't be coming back. Their hours are 8AM-6PM. If you return off hours there is a different procedure and a fee (I think that it's $22.50) for the drop off. This wasn't a problem for us, as we arrived promptly at 8AM and were quickly processed. But it's another issue.Reviewed 12 Dec 2023
