Book Hertz car hires at Los Angeles Airport

Due to congestion and occasional smog conditions in Los Angeles, we wholeheartedly recommend booking an electric or hybrid vehicle from Hertz car hire at LAX as long as it fits your basic requirements. Our standard endorsement is for compact and small economy cars for singles and couples, but you should certainly consider a convertible to enjoy the LA sunshine. Large SUVs and mid-sized saloons offer increased comfort and adequate storage for five adults.

They overcharged me more than the rental agreement on pickup. And then charged me an exorbitant amount (550 USD) at the end of the trip for half a tank of gas and a couple kilometres on a roll route.Reviewed 11 Sept 2026

I had booked a minivan paid in advance a month ahead because I knew we would have a lot of luggage. When I got there, they didn't have one but said we could get a Palisaide instead but it wasn't big enough for the luggage. They only had a expedition max that would work for us but it cost me 750$ additional. I was disappointed since I had booked and paid in advance so I would be sure to have the minivan. The guy at counter tried his best but they still charge me 750 more.Reviewed 2 Jul 2025

I felt a lil duped. I purchased a standard SUV that said it would fit 4 people and 5 bags but when I arrived was told it wouldn’t fit and had to pay $40/extra for a car that could fit it. The standard SUV for hertz is actually an intermediate or compact SUV which is odd bc it’s normally much bigger than those. I would’ve rented from somewhere else had I known I wouldn’t get a standard that could fit us.Reviewed 14 Oct 2024
