There is a huge disconnect between what Kayak sells/offers versus what is truly provided by the rental car companies. The class of vehicles between third party providers and rental companies needs to be reviewed and validated. Using Kayak I requested the more expensive 12-passenger van class but was provided the smaller/cheaper minivan from Thrifty Rental Car. Each party blaming each other for the mistake while the customer suffers. Will definitely never recommend either. I deserve a refund.Reviewed 25 Jul 2026

We queued for 90 mins to get to the front of the queue to customer service and then another 30 mins as no vehicles was available. It was reserved weeks earlier.Reviewed 22 Sept 2025

Someone needs to put on a separate site that your website NEVER honors the car that is being advertised and it’s always some different type of car that is supposedly similar to the car in the picture advertised. Maybe a website that is viewed anytime a person tries to rent a car through Kayak that is not the car they will receive. Also, it was over a hour wait to get the car when we first showed up on property.Reviewed 13 Jun 2025

The lady issuing my vehicle was shady. Tried her best to get me to buy more insurance. Tried her best to make me buy a very expensive toll pass that I didn’t need. Would not go with Thrifty or their partner agencies again. D!ckheqds.Reviewed 16 Mar 2025

Pick up in Lós Angeles and we will return in Las Vegas on 01.01.25 in Hertz 1815 Sahara Avenue. However, at the scheduled return, the rental company was closed with no instructions on where to leave the car. When we called the central office, they told us we would have to return it at another location or keep the car for an additional day. Since we already had plans, we couldn’t go to another agency to return it. Therefore, we kept the car for one more day.Reviewed 3 Jan 2025

Pick up was great. Rico, who was helping me, was an absolute pleasure. However, driving off the lot was the worst experience. It took me close to 45 mins to leave. It was the slowest process to leave. Will never be renting a car from LAX again.Reviewed 13 Oct 2024

Horrible, disorganized, chaotic scene when we arrived at the rental desk. Took almost three hours to get our car from the time we walked into the agency. I hope people read this and about in the future.Reviewed 5 Oct 2024
