Cleanliness and facilituies of the room and general areas. Good quality breakfast and efficiency of staff.Excellent value for money. Nothing
Helpful very friendly and welcoming. None, minor concerns for decor and upkeep/ maintenance
Easy to book, lovely pleasent staff and enjoyable stay. n/A
Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Ideal central location.
The service overall was good; the use of their lounge and bathroom after check out was helpful and pleasant. The atmosphere of the House was very nice indeed and the landlords helpful but unobtrusive. The bedside lamp was a litte dark so much so that one evening when I wanted to read a lot I switched it with the one in the hallway that gave off more light. The energy saving bulbs and dark shades don't always go so well.
The friendliness of the welcome , the location and the service at breakfast were all first class.
the room was brilliant, the service from staff was also brilliant. the price was fair. the bacon was not cooked properly, baked beans were served luke warm. i didnt like my room being on the second floor (way too many stairs to climb) and they didnt have a lift... not somewhere to go for disabled customers. due to it being a place full of stairs. apart from that its not really a bad place to go to
Great location. Near the railway station and not far from town center.
Bedrooms pleasantly furnished and very comfortable, bathroom was nice and clean and I loved the little soaps and guest shampoos. Tea, Coffee and hot chocolate with biscuits was most welcoming. It was so lovely. My daughter from America was visiting us and we were so pleased that the hotel was as charming as it was. We just loved the Victorian house and all its pretty antiques! No bad points. We would most definitely stay there again when our next flow of American family comes to visit us and there will be many of those!
Value for money experience, excellent room, with facilities and very welcoming hosts.
the area it was in
entertainment/meals poor cleanliness and shoddy decor in rooms/hotel very tired looking/poor parking
it was easy to find the staff were brilliant and the hotel was very clean plus we had a gorgeous breakfast thank you we will stay with you again sometime xx nothing at all A*** hotel and staff
Wonderful views over the bay. Friendly and accommodating staff. Super breakfast. Room rather small. No bath. Some fittings very aged. Room exceptionally dark and only one chair but concierge arranged for an extra lamp. Overall the hotel has seen better days and is badly in need of refurbishment
We really enjoyed our stay friendly staff good food and good location The lumpy mattress
The hotel was good value for money The entertainment in the evening left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately it didn't really cater for people of a younger generation!!! Also the rooms were absolutely freezing cold even with the radiator on full blast.
friendliness of all staff
Staff service Nothing
The friendly atmosphere. Feeling at home. Fantastic cooking. The perfect hosts. The shower was not working perfectly
Service, food, and overall atmosphere was excellent. Would recommend it to anyone
Fantastic house with exceptional food
Very peaceful surroundings, friendly welcome and very comfortable rooms. An ideal place to relax and unwind.
Owners are fantastic, beautiful location, excellent food and very relaxing
Excellent facilities, rooms very clean and well presented. Very relaxing surroundings, with well kept gardens. Alan and Ian go out of their way to make your stay with them enjoyable. I would strongly advise to opt for the evening meal, always a varied choice and delicious. This is our third consecutive year of staying there and we will be returning.
Excellent food, grounds, location, and room. The owners put you at ease straightaway and the service was faultless None really. The only minor gripe was that breakfast was so early between 8-9am and on a Sunday morning it would have been good to have a bit of a lie in!
Very friendly, very comfortable, excellent food and good value.
It was very clean and staff where great and could not do enough for you It was close to everything from beach to shops/pubs to nice walks
The welcome and friendliness of the family owners. The breakfast was superb. I stayed only one night but got the feeling that a week would have been as pleasant and friendly
No surprise. I got what I expected. No table in the room
Convenient situation, helpfulness of management, closeness to good eating places, Great Orme , the pier, and the comfort. Attractive lounge for visitors. I can think of nothing that I didn't like.
We only stayed one night, but thought the service and facilities were excellent
We used this hotel as a base for a recent golfing trip to Conwy and Royal St Davids. The hotel itself is situated in a good area of town and the Llandudno night life nearby. The hotel itself is very clean, modern and excellent value for money. Good breakfast selection is available. We certainly would not hesitate in returning to this hotel. Parking was a bit tight, but understandable for the area we were in.
Lovely clean hotel with friendly welcoming staff.
The friendliness of the owners, the convenience of its position, excellent breakfast Noisy seagulls!!! only joking
Nice Breakfast and very central to town area
Very good breakfast
Myself and my Fiance enjoyed our stay at Escape Boutique due to the hospitality of the staff and the superb service that was provided. Excellent breakfast was provided after our celebrations of New Years Eve the night before. We will be returning thats for sure. Thank you to Andrew for a pleasureable stay. No
lovely room and peaceful area. Andrew was very helpful and made us feel special
Friendliness,attention to detail and cleanliness
the breakfast and service was excellent, the view from the dining room was very relaxing, and the welcome we received when checking in was very professional the bahroom was a bit small, nowhere to hang clothes, or things taken into bathroom
A lot of effort has gone into this B&B to make it a very interesting stay. On display is a lot of items which shows the house when it was a home to a wealthy family. lots of nice finishing touches in the bedroom to make it special.
Brill, loved it! Something a bit different with a bit of Lux mixed in. Having to check out!
Steve and Julie are such a hard working couple who try their very best to ensure everything is great from the food to the atmosphere. Our stay was too short!!
This is a lovely B&B, very modern & cosy. The room was very clean and had a few nice extras. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious ! The owners were extremely helpful
Very warm and welcoming proprietors. Modern and fresh decor and excellent breakfast! Would've been good to have a shower in the room with the bath. Other rooms do have showers though.
The owners were very welcoming and extremely friendly. The room was spotless and had a lovely view of the town. The breakfast was excellent and very filling. I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone.
Excellent breakfast. Very nice young couple who are very helpful. Good location. None
Great breakfast, very friendly staff, we felt like friends rather than customers. None
Owners very nice looked after us very well loveley breakfast very tidy accomadation lovley area None
The owners Julie and Steve made you feel very welcome and at home, and we were free to do as we pleased, there were no unpleasant surprises, we got exactly what we were expecting. You advertise it as Orme view room, it is not an Orme view room. This should be corrected.
Very central location, good pubs and resturants nearby. Really friendly owners. Excellent breakfasts. Compact bathroom
We were welcomed at the door, and this set the scene for the great service we experienced. The room was comfortable and the location was great.
Very informative staff with a pleasant manner which makes your stay very enjoyable. Excellent breakfast the best I have had at any holiday establishment we have stayed at before. We would not hesitate to recommend this service to any of our friends.
lovely peaceful guesthouse, excellent staff ,great views, ideal for shopping, sightseeing and very close to the theatre, would stay again. nothing i disliked
Breakfast was very good, but they should check to see if you want exactly the same each day and not just serve it. Saturday early evening getting ready there was no hot water.
this guest house is situated on the sea front close to the venue theatre and not far from llandudno centre and pier.the service and staff are excellent ,the breakfast available was very good.i would have no qualms about recommending it to anyone.
The staff were very helpfull.
The man was very calm warm and friendly. The food was excellent and the rooms first class. A peaceful haven of pleasure There was nothing about which I could complain.
Friendly staff; excellent English breakfast; beautiful, comfortable, immaculate room; convenient to sightseeing attractions and train.
Welcoming hosts, good food, good faciliities in a quiet location but near town. Would recommend.
I appreciated the homely environment, friendliness and helpfulness of the owner, the clean and comfortable facilities. A minor point only, I thought the breakfast sausages were poor. Otherwise no ptoblems.
Homeliness / friendly
Cosy and comfortable There was nothing that we disliked
The made to feel you welcome by the hosts n/a
The Hotel was warm and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean and beds very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with all you could eat.A lovely hotel not far from shops and seafront would highly recommend. No complaints
A charming guest house with helpful staff and magnificent breakfast. The guest house is idearly placed for all of Llandudno Every thing was good
The greeting was friendly and good advice on where to get an evening meal. The breakfast provided was good. The room was a little too small with nowhere to write postcards/notes etc. Parking provided was limited.
The location was excellent and the sea view room was clean with a spectacular view. Rhona the owner was very friendly, informative and considerate. She even enquired about the vegetarian options we may like at breakfast!
Breakfast was yummy, extra toast was requested and this was no problem for the staff. Could have been more flexable as 8:30 was quite a late start if you were wanting to go out for the day. 2 superior see view rooms were booked. One had a beautiful bay window the other a small window. I feel this was not a "superior" room but maybe a room with a sea view! No animals were allowed in the hotel but their own dog was there on arrival and had the freedom of the hotel.
Everything about the Hotel was perfect. Parking was a little tricky but we soon found a permanent place close to. Only the no parking but you can easily get round that
the view from the bedroom was excellent, and it was conveniently positioned for walking to shops and for bars + entertainment We did not like the presence of a dog which was left to roam freely at the hotel, even at breakfast he was running around the room.
Friendliness of the proprietor and the position of the hotel. No dedicated car park. You have to take pot luck with the on street parking.
Pleasant, clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, good location. not suitable for the less mobile(steps and stairs)bar not open.
friendlyand helpfull staff. Idealy situated for town centre, sea and countryside.
The view of the bay from the room was excellent (We did pay extra for this room). Not really. We did not spend that much in the hotel as the weather was excellent. It is quite expensive for a Bed & Breakfast hotel
The sea view was lovely. Breakfast was good but coukd have had more variety on the continental side. The sea view room was very small. We thought it too expensive for the stay. £80 per night.
Very friendly Lots of steps to climb
Staff excellent None
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The formal gardens and vegetable garden are a delight. The spa and swimming pool are a big plus point. There are no tea making facilities in the room and wifi connection was slow.
Fascinating building, lovely site. Size of room. Fresh coffee brought to room before breakfast. Tea making facilities in the room.
Very helpful staff. Very good quality and selection of food Expensive for what it is
The whole experience was idyllic. Food was excellent.
Most hotels in Wales could learn from the service offered at Bodysgallen. I expected to bump into Miss Marple!
It was fantastic, a really good break, fantastic room/suite, excellent spa, a really good character hotel in excellent surroundings. The food, whilst being very good, was very small portions.
Best ever setting and views. Perfect maintainance, lovely staff and food. Spa treatment too short. Booked 30 mins. Was in treatment room 18 minutes. Quality of massage very good but just too short for £30
Location, setting, excellent staff. Would like tea making facilities in the room.
Vere friendly staff & lovely location and breakfast
Hotel was very clean and quiet at night. Staff were pleasant. Lovely location right on the sea front and only a short walk from shops, We stayed in room 17, the plumbing wasn't very good.
The breakfasts were good Too far from town centre, lack of parking- Guest parking round back of hotel, but no rear access to hotel. Bedroom was chilly- no heating on. Breakfast served 8:30 till 9am was a bit late, as most people were ready at 8 am.
Its location Wifi works only in the lobby; when they replenish the rooms they get skimpy or distracted & do not leave milk or cookies, or soap, etc
Wasn't happy staying on a Saturday night / Sunday morning breakfast at 8.00am-9.00am! Like a lie in on a weekend so needless to say had no breakfast, all the other places I have stayed allow 2 hours for breakfast & at a later time.
management & staff very friendly and obliging
Warm welcome good rooms and very good breakfast. There was a great view over the town from the bedroom window.
the quality of service was superb ! stunning room with amazing view ! breakfast was the best we have ever had !!!!! everything was great !!!!
The high standard of presentation of rooms and food Nothing
Close to the front, shops and restaurants but not too close which means it's quiet. Good views over the town and to the beach and hills, from our room. Excellent breakfast good all round comfort, would look to book here again if visiting this area again. It is more a guest house rather than a hotel proper and comments concerning staff and facilities are made on this basis (no bar etc), but tha's OK for me as there are plenty of places close by.
Good location with parking facilities Bathroom very small
Lovely, and in walking distance of town
Decor and breakfast
excellent variety of food for breakfast
Friendliness of proprietors and staff ,good shower and towels etc ,board games for a wet night in. Extra chair in bedroom would have been nice ,but this a personal observance not a complaint.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, with tea / coffee making facilities and supplies. Also had supply of toiletries in the ensuite shower room. Breakfast was substantial, well cooked and presented, though only available between 8.30 and 9am. Although just offering B&B, we had a front door key so could come and go as we wished. Friendly owners who were keen to ensure our stay was pleasant.
hosts friendly and helpful.decor fabulas. rooms clean and comfortable.food great and plentiful
exelent food and very friendly ,helpful owners
Very clean & tidy, hosts very friendly & helpful. Delicious breakfast. Parking in street no problem. WLAN in lounge. Definitely to be recommended. Minor niggle: expect an additional charge for credit card payment (not mentioned in description).
Keith and Fiona were wonderful hosts during my stay at the hotel . When I registered, we struck up a conversation about golf and they asked me to join them at there local golf club, which I did. They treated me like family and were very special. In my opinion, this hotel is way underpriced. Not a thing.
As previous reviews this is an excellent B & B with quality service and attention to detail. Good pillows and reading light. Very clean. Orderly breakfast between 08:30-09:00.
Very family friendly with hosts being warm and welcoming. The hotel rooms were clean and had all of the necessary facilities including a good sized shower which delivered good pressure and heat even though we were on the top floor!
Near to golf club no
The hosts, size & cleanliness of room, location
It was close to all amenities.
Could not open the room window as cooking smells were abundent. Had to shut the bathroom door as toilet smell was musty and carpet! Hello This is 2007! We felt rushed at Breakfast after every course plates were taken away abruptly. No chance for a second piece of toast! Entertainment value of this 10/10!
Bed was squeeky, window unsafe, breakfast poor
The helpfulness of the staff, the surroundings and the locality enabled us to travel around N Wales with ease. The meals were very good.
Good location, easy to find.Very convenient location for exploring the north wales coast and Snowdonia.Slightly outdated rooms but ours was spacious and clean. Good to have the restaurant in-house.
Another very good weekend at the Lyndale. We are always made very welcome and enjoy our stay, See you again at Easter.
Friednly landlord who was extremely helpful and kind throughout the stay. Nice seaview too! Free and good parking facilities and easy to find. I was disappointed to find that you had to pay for WiFi.
Clean, good value for money Room bit dated, only single glazed and thin walls
Very welcoming and an excellent meal Beds are tired, and a couple of us had a poor nights sleep
The welcome was warm and good.We arrived late at night but the welcome was genuine and supportive. The smell of cooking as you entered the front door.
Friendly staff, non-smoking rooms, off street parking, family room with bunk bed option. Curtains lack blackout lining, Bed was a little soft
Lovely breakfasts, staff helpful and friendly.Beds comfortable. Room decor and ensuite in need of updating.
The only problem was with the mattress, springs could be felt making it slightly uncomfortable, hence fair for comfort in 2
We have family in the area - good value and a very comfortable base. Nothing
Everything about our stay was excellent. We could not fault it and will definately stay there again.
Good sized room, bed and bathroom
Friendly and welcoming staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Decent breakfast included in price. Quite small and walls/doors rather thin so everything can be heard from one room to the next...although this is good for a family/single person stay it is not good for couples having a weekend away!
Quiet location (but only a short walk from the beach), friendly atmosphere, warm welcome, good breakfast, clean and tidy room.
Cleanliness and good food none
The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of perfectly cooked food of local high class produce. Our party guests who joined us for dinner loved the ambience of the dinning room, and the high quality food for dinner, service excellent. The only point that could be improved is the massive portions served up to the teenage girls who were overfaced by such large portions and so didn't enjoy the main courses. Starters and desserts were perfection. Perhaps the waiting on staff could tip off the chef when teenage girls order main courses. Only the size of the beef burger bun accompanied with too many delicious chips and a Shepherd's pie which was huge and very, very hot.
Good food.Good beer.Good location.Great view into the hills.Good access to both coast and mountains.
Very pleasing. Attractive, good quality and traditional furnishings. Polite and helpful service. Good (perhaps too much) food. Easy parking. Thoughtful touches e.g. flask of fresh milk in bedroom (rather than the awful small pots of artificial stuff). Inn rather than hotel so less stuffy. We were on ground floor facing the road so difficult to leave the windows open at a night (although the access was excellent for my elderly mother). The rooms facing the back would be better and these have wonderful views.
We travelled as a family with a 12 year old son and 2 elderly grandparents. We were given a great mainfloor room for the grandparents and a lovely family room.Restraunt was excellent and all the staff extremely friendly and accomodating.Would definitely recommend the Groes Inn.
Our 'standard' rooom was spacious, clean and comfortable with a view over open fields to the mountains beyond. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Highly recommended.
Location and private terrace outside room. The privacy and quietness afforded here was much appreciated.Accessibility to, and comfort in the room we had was very good. Quality of service and food were inconsistent and, we considered, did not reflect the inn's 5 star rating Wardrobe space was very limited and further impeded by what to us was an unnecessary trouser press (An ironing board would be preferable) The advertised TV Freeview was limited to two channels which was disappointing.
The food was very good The balcony was very small in the upstairs rooms and whilst we expected a double room, we had two twins joined together which was not very comfortable
Easy car parking Food and beer good Really need a car to get to anywhere from here, but that was known when booking.
the excellent service and homely feeling of the hotel everything was excellent
Very friendly staff very clean and food very good. Wewill most likely visit again.
I like the friendly staff no every thing was spot on
The breakfast, well worth getting up for! Room was very good, as clean as you could ask for and no shortage of clean towels etc in bathroom. Would recommend the Clovelly to anyone staying in Llandudno...
the breakfast small room
located within easy reach to shops, beach pier and other local attractions
Friendly Staff who wanted to make you welcome
Convenient, cleanliness, friendly.
The breakfast was gourmet - all needs catered for and beautifully presented. Staff were very courteous. The bathroom - avocado suite - reminded me of my student flat, 20+ years ago! Management did say there was a programme in place to refurbish.
good location draughty bedroom
Comfortable bed and quiet room. Also good breakfast Parking can be challenging!!
We used the Shelbourrne mainly for its convenience to the Theatre, however it was also ideal to enjoy many facilities in and around Llandudno.
Conceveniently situated and our sea view bedroom gave an excellent view of the firework display.
evening meal was good as was breakfast the room was a poor excuse for a double. You could not walk around the bed as on three sides it was against the wall. The tea tray when not on the one chair had to go on the floor, you then stepped on it to reach the phone/kettle or bed. The room was set and prepared for one person, we had to request cups, linen e.t.c. I would recommend the hotel but not room 16 for a double.
Walking distance to the theatre. Breakfast very good. Hotel good value. Reception staff not friendly, or helpful . Room was comfortable but a fire escape.
convenience to promenade food was apalling
clean, value for money, good location car parking and excellent breakfast
The Manager/Owner of the Hotel was very welcoming and extremely helpful in finding a room suitable for my friend's mobility problems. The Hotel is extremely good value for money and very close to the theatre. I didn't have a shower in my room!
room with sea view - comfortable - non smoking room
Everything very clean and tidy. Nothing too much trouble and staff extremely helpfull. None
Location was great; staff at breakfast very friendly parking a little tricky
Location, and very quiet. Well-trained staff always willing and attentive made for relaxed stay. The changing colours of the seascape were a constant pleasure. **** hotel with no bathrobes; towels old; towel rail never heated. No clock.
Friendly service.Very clean. Car parking round the back is very poor should suggest parking over the road around the church
I like the comfort and the staff are very helpful. We find the atmosphere at the hotel very relaxing. The only thing I would have liked at the St George was the lack of a pool which would have been a great asset. However, we had a lovely weekend.
Cleanliness of the room and particularly the bathroom. You were right on the sea front. The breakfast was delicious. Limited parking.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great but the evening meal was fabulous, definitely recomend a meal there well worth the money. Parking was minimal, we were lucky to go in October but can imagine it very difficult to park on the hotel grouds at busier time of year.
Very pleasant staff. Clean and well presented. Very enjoyable stay!
Tha ambience was calm and the bedroom were to a high standard. They lack a fridge / mini-bar, which is disappointing in a 4 star establishment. see above. Also, there was a function in the main retuarant and the kitchen was clearly barely able to cope with the 'ordinary diners' Excruciatingly long waits between courses and steaks not cooked as per order were symptomatic.
Excellent facilities, extremely clean, very pleasant stay
Very convenient, and spacious. Meals excellent. The service of waiters/waitresses was excellent the timing of courses left a little to be desired. Make sure that your evening meal has been booked by reception staff.
Staff were very friendly (they gave us a more appropriate room arrangement, saving us some money!) throughout, the location was excellent, and the rooms were comfortable. Breakfasts were very good.
food good, nice staff, comfy bed, clean, maybe a little dated, but good overall. no lift, not much parking.
Staff very nice complex route/stairs to room; not good for disabled. Being put in a room over the bar - noise penetration. The nature of the room conversions meant that walls were plaster studding, so there was noise penetration from other rooms and coridor
Friendly family-run hotel. Good service. Hotel restaurant has a popular carvery on Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime. Central location near beach, pier, bars and restaurants.
Hotel Bar and Dining Room pleasant Room not up to standard compared to other hotels we have stayed in which were in the same price bracket.
the location the food, we travelled for nearly 4 hours(stuck in traffic) arrived approx 8.30pm they had stopped serving food so then had to find a place to eat.very hard bed and noisy at night
excellent breakfast superb home cooking booked a double room and had a twin room
execelent service very friendly breakfast first class also carvery on saturday evening was great value for money dining room and service first class look forward to staying there again
A convenient position Very out of date and shabby. Breakfast service was poor
Friendly greeting on arrival, room was nice decor was dated but clean and welcoming. Nice and quiet. No
The bed television and overall furnishing of the hotel wad very good Dirty towels, bathroom dirty. Staff useless. Breakfast a bit poor for the money. Overall for to expensive.
clean + tidy not good for people with walking difficulties needed a lift
A luxury room with a superb comfy bed. Exellent shower facilities. no complaints from me
I liked the freedom that this hotel alloed you. Especially the honesty bar. Bathroom were dirty
Friendliness and cleanliness
We're an American family of 4 (2 children under 3 years) and stayed for only one night in October as we were driving through. We had a triple room with a 4-post bed (room 9) with a separate room for our oldest child connected via our large bathroom. The rooms were great and the decor really felt like we were experiencing a new culture. The staff (owners?) were excellent; we arrived late but were still warmly welcomed and felt comfortable. We all slept well and enjoyed the giant wash tub. Breakfast was included in our booking and was excellent; I think we all had the full English breakfast. We left early the next day, walked across the street to watch a seal, sea gulls, and look for shells and crabs. We then took the 15 minute drive to Conwy castle. We will definitely come back! Climbing up 3 floors with luggage and 2 small ones was annoying, but if that's the only complaint, then it's not bad!
The room was extremely comfortable and to a high standard. Good choice at breakfast. Difficulty of car parking - only street parking which I imagine would be even more of a problem in high season. Breakfast room a little small and hence congested - could perhaps be eased by smaller chairs.
friendly, helpful staff
Very welcoming. It was quiet as it was winter The only thing I could comment on was the bed in my room which was a little soft and springy for my liking, but that is a personal thing.
the room breakfast friendly staff no
it had a nice warm friendly atmosphere car park around the back...luckily we wre assisted in with our luggage but it woulkd be a ball ache if we hadn't!
It was just very relaxing. Only stayed one night but felt very relaxed and stress free after our stay.
Excellent location, very peaceful, also nothing was any trouble
facilities great. friendly helpful owners and staff.good breakfast great location. menu a bit limited and could be better value.our room could have done with a lick of paint hear and there.
We we very pleased with the welcome we received and the staff were extremely friendly and a wonderful breakfast. The bathroom although cln the bath hadnt been fitted properly and the water came out in a dribble. The evening meal was very pricey.
Friendly atmosphere and a relaxing short break. Thoroghly enjoyed.
Our suite was fantastic - Very comfortable bed and gorgeous bathroom. The breakfast was nicely cooked and we enjoyed the leisure facilities, particularly sitting in the hot tub until it was dark! A w/end of luxury!
Food was very well presented, with taste to match, We had a room with a hot tub, which was very private, which made it relaxing. The staff were very friendly and accomadating The room was a bit warm, not due to the room heating but other forms of heat from under our room, but not a real problem because we had french doors on to a private balcony
