Cons: No facilities to eat a meal on site in the evenings
5.8 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable This hotel claims five stars and boasts that in is a winner of Four in a bed, on this experience I fail to see how it has done either there was long blond hairs in the drawers at the side, the bath had dropped down somehow causing the shower screen to have a gap, this flooded the bathroom when a shower was taken , asked at the reception for more towels as if had to use them to mop up the flood , was given the towel but the scruffily dressed person behind the reception didn’t ask how or why there was water on it be floor Decorating equipment left on stairs and in the shabby bar area from where you can see a back garden that is overgrown and looks a mess , I stayed at a boutique hotel in Torquay two days before, this garden had been looked after and had seating lights and ornaments in it , this what I would expect not scruffy overgrown hedges or blown flooring in the bar for that matter. The staff gave the impression that they didn’t care or didn’t want to be there which is a shame as they could have made the experience of staying there a lot better

Good breakfast included, followed by a full day at the Historic Docklands ten minutes away. Would stay again. Thank you.

7.0 Good
Pros: The room was of the hotels hotel's usual high standard when we settled in. Breakfast was good, but crowded and a little chaotic at 8.00 am.
Cons: We arrived late off the ferry as it had been delayed. There was no one manning the desk so I had to wait to check in, eventually calling hello into the back office till someone came out. We were given keys to a room some distance away from reception which was ok, but when we arrived we found it had not been cleaned by the housekeeping staff, but left in a state by the previous occupants. I rang reception who quickly gave us the room opposite but late at night when you have been travelling for most of the day, you don't want to be standing around with your bags in the corridor.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and easy from Portsmouth. Nice sized comfortable room, excellent breakfast and friendly staff.
Cons: Couldn't get on with air con and shower had little power and tended to soak the bathroom floor.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was clean, tidy and generally nice. Good location for local attractions. Outside the grounds was not exactly anything to write home about - Petrol station, major roads, industrial estate & I think there was a small shopping centre.
Cons: A little over priced. I have stayed in better hotels for less money. Grounds were 'ok', if only a little unkempt. Breakfast was pretty much box standard & certainly nothing exceptional. Evening meals were WAAAAAAAAY overpriced, and that is mainly what let it down as the meals were not of a very high standard
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Both breakfast and the location were very good.
Cons: Cigarette butts littered internal courtyard.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Sausages were not nice

Cons: Nice cheerful staff, good breakfast
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice hotel near the University for graduation the next day. Breakfast was good but arrived too late for dinner.
Cons: For a superior room, the carpet was not the best and needed a clean. We had two rooms and I was phoned after we left to say that the information pack was missing from one and a hairdryer missing from the other. I would never of thought of checking that all things were present when we arrived and we certainly did not take them.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed in a deluxe single room which was spacious (among single rooms), nicely decorated and comfy. It had a huge TV too. The corridor had a music which was a nice extra. Also had a very good breakfast.
Cons: I got there a bit late and there was no parking space but I found one in ~5-10m distance on the street
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the Nespresso coffee machine. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was very nice. Loved the live singer and hotel has a good vibe.
Cons: Room could do with a mirror other than in the bathroom.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was brilliant! A true Hilton. The staff gave us an complimentary upgrade and put a card and balloons in our room for our anniversary
Cons: I didn’t like the fact that the wedding party that were arriving at the same time as us got priority over everybody else in the reception area.... I was shocked that given we were staying we still had to pay £35 per person to use the spa area.... fitness facility and the hydro pool. It would be great to use that for free and then we may have used the extra cash to have a treatment!!

4.5 Okay
Pros: The spa, therapists and other employees in there were absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful. Treatment was great!
Cons: On arriving we were greeted by what we consider as a judgemental woman. As I visit Hilton’s hotels at least once a year I’m aware of the procedure upon arrival and I can confidently say I’ve never been greeted by such an unwelcoming person in all my stays. It was our first time at Ageas Bowl, my partners first time to a Hilton, it was a break to celebrate our engagement. Sadly, the woman at the front desk disrupted our excitement completely, also insisted we paid beforehand and told us we weren’t able to charge anything to our room. Without a good reason, we can only believe she judged us incorrectly. We later had dinner in the Beefy’s restaurant where we were charged and extortionate amount for food that was below average and over done. The staff were again not welcoming at all and the waiter left various items off our bill which we asked him to add on, which proves again that we were poorly judged on arrival. With an order to not ask for room service or charge anything to our room, we spent the majority of our time travelling down to the bar and back up to the room to get refreshments. We also asked at reception for information on the spa, to which a male member of staff responded ‘I don’t know it opens at 9 tomorrow’ and turned his back on us. The front of house staff all seemed to have a severe lack of people skills and completely ruined our experience. They belittled us and made us feel unwelcome and embarrassed. In all honesty, it was a waste of a large amount of money and completely ruined our engagement.

4.3 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good, but not exceptional, the area was a bit run down with a fair amount of shabby individuals wandering around in hoodies and in the nearby park when we were walking back from their recommended Gastro Pub which was fifteen minutes walk away from the establishment.
Cons: The furniture and fittings were not in the "Boutique" league apart from the lounge area. The bathroom was small and cramped and the shower not clean. the room was ordinary and had minimal storage space, basically one small rickety free standing wardrobe and two bedside tables. The Electricity failed in our room in the morning as we were preparing to leave and when I reported it was told " oh it is a technical problem I can't deal with it" so nothing was done, and no offer of any re embursement made. Shabby chic would better describe the establishment, we will not be using it again!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Locality was fab
Cons: A fan would have made the room more comfortable due to getting sun all day in the room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely little hotel, great location. Staff were super friendly and accommodating.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: After a long flight from Australia and drive down from Heathrow, we were able to check in straight away (we were early).
Cons: The single room was smaller than I expected, but it had everything you would need.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the interior of the hotel, rooms were very clean, tea making facilities, nice to see Loccitane toiletries! Our King’s size exec room was good size, tall ceiling, bright with 2 windows, very quiet. They have a good breakfast menu you can order from and that is great value so would recommend adding to your room booking.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast nice and beds were very comfortable Nice quiet hotel for relaxing
Cons: Size of bedroom 1 twin beds so so small And I think the price should include cereal or toast with a coffee As breakfast at £26 a couple a day is a bit steep
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and parking was easy.
Cons: Breakfast was nice but limited and not worth the extra cost of £25 for the two of us
5.5 Okay
Pros: Good location for ferries. The cooked breakfast was very tasty. Pleasant staff.
Cons: When they said small room, they should put tiny! The bathroom was more like a closet, mouldy tiles, not fit for purpose. Described as a hotel with restaurant- More like a guest house with the restaurant in a pub 15 minutes walk away. £185 it was not value for money.
7.5 Good
Pros: Quiet
Cons: Room bit small
