Overall the hotel is fantastic. My ONLY complaint was the bed mattress was rather firm....I do prefer a firm mattress but this one was too hard for me, so I did not sleep very well while there. Otherwise, it was very clean, breakfast was wonderful, the bar/lounge area was busy and fun in the evenings, the gym was well-equipped, and we used the sauna once which was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and spacious. The location was a little ways out of the center of the city, but there's a U-bahn station not far from there and public transport is highly accessible. Overall, it is an excellent place to stay!

Pros (+) The staff readily said, "We are now Holiday Inn," despite our earlier booking... and they honored that booking, with a nice, comfortable room on the peaceful side of the hotel. They definitely turned a "Maybe" into a "Plus."

Pros (+) Staff, location and cleanliness are excellent
Cons (-) Old style air conditioning system where ALL the guest rooms get only warm conditioned air in the winter and cool air in the summer. The system had already been switched (end of September) to the warm air winter configuration. Our room was too warm for comfortable sleeping for a person who likes a cool room.
