Pros: Had a great stay in a very clean room. When we arrived our room type was sold out, so they upgraded us to a fantastic suite. Would return anytime and recommend to anyone.
Pros: Amazing hotel. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Hoped there would be a hot tub and the pool was kind of luke-warmish and gross.
Pros: Location, unit, and staff couldn't be better. Don't be a sucker, rent a bike for local travel.
Cons: Free internet not very fast.

Pros: restaurant was great. Room was clean and comfortable.
Pros: The hotel grounds are beautiful, the location is great, and the jacuzzi in my room was HEAVEN.
Great stay. I'll be back!
Pros: View, cleanliness, roominess, service
Cons: Bed hurt my back (not normal), loud jacuzzi, TV channel surfing was a bit awkward.
Pros: Beds were very comfortable. Staff was very attentive. Easy walking to places. Very clean. Great stay over all.
Cons: Toilet stopped up twice but staff were right on it when notified.
Pros: Quiet, comfortable centrally located hotel with friendly helpful staff and a nice convivial atmosphere
Pros: Great location. Can't beat it. Quality was great. Staff was great and extremely helpful (except doorman). Would definitely recommend.
Cons: Doorman were terrible. Never opened the door once for us. Three of them just stood there and watched my wife and I open the door ourselves. I have no problem opening doors, but whats the point of having three doorman if they don't do anything. Minor detail. Just thought it was funny. Not a hard job.

Pros: Great location. Bar was awesome! Have a "bee's knees"!
Cons: Because I used the door knocker that said I didn't need sheets and towels changed, no one ever came to my room to take the garbage or give us more TP, etc. thankfully there was an extra roll in the room. And one of the valet guys was rude to my uber driver when she came to pick us up. It was uncalled for.
Pros: Beautiful building, excellent location near the Pearl District. Loads of cool shops, restaurants, and breweries nearby. Hotel lent us bikes!
Cons: Pricey but not out of line for area hotels.
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Location was excellent.
Cons: Valet service an absolute disaster. Front desk unable to give good rec's on what to do and where to eat.
Pros: The location is great, and the service is spectacular!
Pros: Couldn't be more helpful, great location and great price for luxury stay
Pros: The receptioni staff were excellent. They upgraded our room after we told them of our vacation from hell just a month earlier. The location was perfect for us. It is close to the business area, the college and some of Portland best food. Loved it and would stay again.
Pros: Have stayed there before and the Hotel is lovely. Bit of a remodel going on, but it's not intrusive. Service is attentive and Portland-friendly.
Cons: The parking charge of $36 overnight is usurious; we had to park two cars and when asked if they would comp one of them due to our circumstances, they refused. This will cause me to stay someplace else next time.
Location. This Portland hotel is four blocks from Pioneer Place Mall and Pioneer Courthouse. O'Bryant Square and Powell's City of Books are within one-quarter mile.
Hotel Features. The Sentinel, renovated in March 2014, has a fitness facility, a restaurant, a bar/lounge, and a coffee shop/café. Room service is offered 24 hours a day. Pros: We loved the quality of our king size mattress and how the housekeeping team did an exceptional job tending to our room. We also loved that we were able to text the hotel 24/7 to ask about places to eat, sightseeing, and other recommendations anytime, anywhere! It's really in a wonderfully located spot that is quiet, calm, and relaxing. What a wonderful staff!
Cons: We wish there was a pool on site, but besides that, we couldn't complain!
Pros: This was a complete random choice thru hotel tonight app but I could not leave once I saw the lobby : the citizens bakery and then the amazing room : I ended up extending my stay thru 9 more days! Great happy staff and excellent realistic affordable room rates made me continue to call this home / I'm happy there and I consider it my new Portland home when I'm in town
Cons: Everything was awesome. Great gob everyone!
Pros: We loved everything. The bed was very comfortable. The room was beautiful and spacious and modern. The shower was amazing. It was huge and had 3 different shower heads. All of the staff was super friendly an amazing. The girl working the front desk upgraded us to a suite. without any charge just because we had mentioned it was date night when she asked us what brought us to Portland. The room we stayed in had floor-to-ceiling Windows which was so pretty at night. We have robes too. as a woman the other thing I loved was our shower head shampoo conditioner and body wash pumps on the wall. I normally bring my own shampoo and conditioner when I travel because in those little tiny bottles there's never enough product. So being able to use as much conditioner as I needed was a definite plus. We also had dessert at the restaurant which was super delicious. It was a gorgeous evening in the rooftop bar is lovely. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back.
Pros: Total redo of an older hotel. Very modern. Love having the coffee shop downstairs to grab breakfast at in the am and the hotel restaurant upstairs in fantastic. Great location with easy access to the MAX train lines.
Cons: No issues. The parking at $25/day is high.
Pros: Staff was super great! Room was clean. Great location. Worth every penny!
Cons: The wifi only last 30 minutes unless you pay extra.
Pros: Loved the bedding. Slept great.
Cons: I did not like the bathroom sliding door. To slide it open is heavy and unsafe when it is open. Almost walked into the mirror. It is beautiful though.
Cons: The entire facility needs upgrading. As I walked into the lobby and down the halls it was shabby. The rooms however, were better than the common areas.
Pros: Helpful staff.
Cons: Facility is due for renovations - they start next month.
Pros: The bed was about the only good thing about the Red Lion. The location near the Moda Center is nice too!
Cons: Loudest hotel ever!! Paper thin walls and a room by the elevator = Not a lot of sleep. $14 parking is ridiculous! Especially after paying for the overpriced room... The cleaning crew started cleaning rooms at 9am. So much for respecting their guest.. We've stayed at a handful of Red Lion hotels and this one is by far the WORST!! Save yourself some money and aggravation and book the Quality Inn across the street!
Only 4 star luxury boutique hotel located in Downtown Portland Eastside. Hotel Eastlund is adjacent to the Oregon Convention Center, Moda Center, Central Eastside's creative hub with artisan distilleries, restaurants, and breweries. The hotel offers easy access to both of the cities rail lines; the Portland streetcar and MAX light rail. Hotel Eastlund, with its mid-century inspired design features 168 rooms and suites. The downtown skyline comes to life with the views from these outstanding venues. The rooftop restaurant and bar, Altabira City Tavern, by celebrated chef David Machado, offers american cuisine with a beer-centric menu and Citizen Baker, adjacent to the lobby , is both casual daytime cafe and evening wine bar. Flexible meeting space available.
Pros: We loved this hotel. Luxurious bed, gorgeous decor and details, accommodating staff and reasonable rates- we will be back!!
Cons: $42 for overnight parking was silly overpriced.
Pros: From the moment we checked in and throughout our stay the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our every need was met. Incredible customer service and amenities.
Pros: Friendly staff; fun, funky decor; nicely situated downtown; and one of the best workout facilities I've seen for a hotel this size (a few elliptical machines, weights, cable machines, pull up bar, etc.).
Cons: The parking is expensive, and works out to be a hidden cost: $26 per day, or $41 if you leave your car overnight.
Pros: The coffee was out before 5:00AM...excellent for an early riser.
Running maps were sweet. Complimentary adult bevs in the living room...how relaxing!
Cons: They could do themselves a lot of favors by improving their bedding, especially the pillows. We both had a lousy night's sleep.
Pros: The hotel was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The room was large and comfortable, with very nice toiletries provided in the spacious bathroom. The location is perfect, down the street from food trucks, great restaurants, and only a short walk to great tax-free shopping. We will definitely consider staying here again.
Cons: Our room had a slight odor of dogs / animals. This should be somewhat expected in a pet-friendly hotel, and is only really noticeable once you walk in the room. All-in-all, this was a minor gripe and will not deter us from staying here again.
Pros: The quirky decor and the friendliness of the staff.
Cons: Everything was fine. No complaints.

Pros: Lovely boutique hotel in a great location and neighborhood. Convenient for walking to restaurants. The hotel restaurant is beautiful with attentive, pleasant servers.
Cons: The bathroom is really small.
Pros: The hotel is close to many great restaurants and theater. The staff were amazing - and the attention to detail and creative touches are very appreciated.
Cons: No shelf or counter in the bathroom is annoying - but the ambiance and details outweigh that!
Pros: Clean room, well kept, and decent location
Cons: Small room, very expensive parking
Pros: Great location and decor. Well maintained and clean. Downtown and Washington Park were easily accessible by foot and the light rail. Staff were very friendly.
Cons: Room was incredibly small, especially compared to the Marriotts I stay at for business. My room was also next to the elevators so glad I brought my ear plugs.
Pros: housekeeping was excellent
banquet staff was excellent
hotel for 20s and 30s
Cons: Front desk staff was all business, condescending and rude
our king room was miniscule
bathrooms lacked safety bars
parking rules were never made clear
Pros: the room was clean
Cons: lobby was way to small and noisy
Pros: I love this hotel and stay here every time I go to Portland. All of the staff, from the housekeepers, valet, bartenders, and the front desk are happy and kind and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
Pros: Stylish, attentive service, cool bar, boutique nature of facility
Cons: Justlocation is just a bit out of way but that could considered both a positive as well as negative
Pros: Front desk and bell staff we very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Everything was great.

Guestrooms have 42-inch LCD televisions with premium TV channels and pay movies. Business-friendly amenities include multi-line phones and WiFi, desks, and direct-dial phones.
Pros: People at Kimpton hotels are amazing across the board but we found the team at The Vintage to be especially kind and caring. From the front desk staff to the bartenders we had great conversations with each person we met and that made it feel so welcoming. We'll definitely be going back.
Pros: Liked the style of the hotel lobby and rooms.
Cons: Actual size of the room was tiny and way overpriced.
Pros: Room, hotel, staff, service, awesomeness
Cons: Single ply toilet paper
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and spacious. The staff was courteous and helpful.
Cons: The fitness center was disappointing in size and equipment available. It reminded me of fitness centers in 2 & 3 star hotels.
On line it said there was a coffee/shop and bakery at the hotel and there were none.
Online it also implies there was a spa but there was not. The front desk clerk said they could call someone off site to come to our room.
One tiny window in the room.
Paid approx $350 a night. Way too expensive for what it was.
Located in central Portland, Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland is a 10-minute walk from Waterfront Park and the Willamette River, and 2 blocks from Pioneer Courthouse Square. Powell's City of Books, which claims to be the world's largest independent bookstore, is a 5-minute walk.
Pros: Loved the pool and hot tub. Also enjoyed the food.
Cons: My room wasn't totally clean and I didn't like the dirty dishes that were always in the hall.
Pros: The hotel is in a great location and upon entering all you see is a grand lobby decorated completely for Christmas. The checkin/check out process was incredibly easy and the staff was friendly. Even got a free upgrade on the room since we were there for only a night which was a huge and wonderful surprise. The room itself was clean and modern and the bed made me want to stay forever. The hotel offered complementary drinks at night which was a nice surprise and the morning breakfast was such a great experience as compared to other hotel's "breakfasts". Overall I would come back to this hotel every time I come to Portland.
Pros: I love the location, the staff, the old world charm, how accommodating everyone is.
Cons: I'm not sure I love the new modern furniture in the lobby area.
Pros: Location close to everything!
Cons: They charge you for wifi , why!?!?!
Pros: Room was great, after changing rooms. Initial room not as described and had to show desk clerk reservation copy from email on phone. Res promised room with a view on top floor. Given previous floor level with view of parking garage. Said were given last available room with view. Had a great view of the city looking towards the river. Breakfast was great! Although the "cooked to order" ad description should of said "buffet" with optional "made to order" omelette. I did, and it was good.
Cons: Having to use Valet parking. Rather a forced choice, because of logistics, then end up in public parking area anyway. Location was horrible. Maybe for some tastes is ok. Rough inner city, area. Not a place for going for walks or taking a young family. Sorry, we love Embassy Suites, but won't return to this one. Again, hotel inside was great. The surroundings not so much.
Pros: Clean good complimentary breakfast and drinks
Cons: Had to pay $10 for wifi $30 a night parking cable in room kept cutting out for our 2 night stay
Pros: Great, friendly staff. Excellent value for the money. The included drinks in the evening and full breakfast in the morning are a big bonus. I have stayed here before and will again.
Pros: Breakfast and cocktail hour was great addition to the hotel and added value to the stay for price. Wish guest treated staff better by tipping for being served and cleaning tables was surprised that we were the only ones I could see that tipped everyone for what they did. I was ashamed that people don't appriciate nice friendly staff that are willing to help.
Cons: Pool was a little colder then I was expecting for everyone wish it was a little warmer. Elevator were so long wait but I guess that what you get when it a historic hotel.
Cons: Lack of cost effective or variety menu selections in steakhouse
Pros: The hotel is nice and in a good location
Cons: I only gave this place three stars because the windows are only single pain which made our room very noisy. Lots of street noise and loud music from the club down the street. We went there to hang out down town but would also appreciate a good night sleep. Also the rate on kayak was the same as I could get just booking direct with the hotel.
Pros: I had a good experience.
Pros: Location was great. Parking Garage right across the street. The staff is the best in all departments. Room Service is outstanding and the Food delivered perfect.
Cons: The beds were too hard and I woke up with a back ache both mornings. There is only one door between adjoining rooms and you can hear every thing that is said. Which also made us whisper. High school choir were in town and ran up and down hall way knocking on doors . Possibly they could place kids on one floor or wing as not to disturb your other customers.

Pros: very walkable, close to theater and parks, walk to the river,
Cons: I like a firmer bed but no one else in the party had bed issues
Pros: The view was beautiful. Very nice employees.
Pros: they brought a mini-fridge on request. lots of plugs for charging. Nice location, close to waterfront park and quieter than mid town locations.
Pros: Location is great, facility is amazing, and staff was exceptional!
Cons: Bed was a little firm but still got a good nights rest.
Pros: The location on the water front is potentially nice.
Cons: (1) Took well over 1 hour to check in at 2;30PM -- no rooms available!
(2) Noisy. Lots of ambient street noise

Pros: This hotel maintains it older charm and the rooms have a more modern vibe. The beds were super comfortable and I actually slept well. Lots of USB charging ports built in and plenty of electrical outlets. Is a good overall stay for a vacation weekend or business trip.
Cons: I felt like the staff could have been a little more engaging.
Pros: Excellent location near great bars pubs and restaurants
Pros: Easy walking to shopping in downtown and the Pearl district. Close to food carts and beer gardens.
1 block from the Max train.
Pros: The lobby alone makes this place worth it. Top notch all around.
Pros: Everything. Especially the bartender. He is so knowledgeable about scotch, etc. He's wonderful. He the reason we stay there every holiday season. I forget his name but he's been there forever.
Pros: Location in the heart of Portland. Great lobby.
Cons: Staff unhelpful. Reservation was cancelled when it shouldn't have been. Small beds and rooms. Bathrooms just okay. expensive for what you get.
Pros: Hotel is very old but extremely well kept, it has a kind of regal feel whenever you walk in. Very good service and the location is the best.
Cons: Just two things:
The love seat and chairs in my room looked a little old, not in bad shape or anything, just old.
The bathroom light was a little dim.
Pros: Very comfortable bed and staff was quite friendly. Great lobby and building with a ton of character, historic architecture, marble, and classic woodwork. (If you want a sleek, modern, generic place that looks the same as a hotel in any other city, this is not the hotel for you.)
Cons: My room (1212) was quite small, especially the bathroom. Because I wanted a single large bed and the hotel was pretty full, I think maybe I had that oddball room that most older hotels have that are squeezed into a non-regular space. In this case, it also happened to be near housekeeping, which was noisy in the morning with carts being banged around. The room was fine but smaller than one might expect. The bathroom was ok for me but would have been an issue for someone who spends more time getting ready. There was not even enough room to stand squarely in front of the tiny sink because a bookcase/shelving unit was put on the wall right in the area in front of sink. I had to shave at an odd angle, off to the side of the sink.
Pros: Location and staff were great.
Cons: Flowers were a little pass their time and bathroom needed a little work. Lightning in the bathroom was poor and a magnificent mirror would have been helpful .
Pros: The location is great (close to all the downtown spots). The staff are well-trained and express interest/care.
Cons: The hotel is dated. The look can be charming. But I don't think that chipped paint, old and over-exposed grout, faded/worn carpets, tough mattresses are part of the decor. Maybe other rooms in the hotel have been updated, but my room was not. I also faced a very load street/area so I would recommend asking for an updated room (if they have any), and for a room in a quiet location.
Pros: Location was great and allowed us to walk to nearly everything we wanted to do. Lobby bar was amongst the best I've ever been to.
Cons: Parking was not explained very well, and expensive. The valets ignored us for over 10 min before we drove off and parked in the garage that was less than a block away. Turned out to be the same garage the valet uses, and has a tunnel connected to the hotel. Room was dark due to only having one small window in the corner.
Pros: Great location, lovely hotel.
Cons: I really just wanted to get some sleep. There was a lot of street noise, even in the middle of the night. Who knew Portland was so loud?

Pros: We liked everything about the hotel. Very close to downtown fun and great room atmosphere.
Cons: The parking price was high but this is the middle of the city, and you probably won't find anything better.
Pros: Staff was very friendly, breakfast was good
Cons: Windows didn't open at all, no fresh air. Not even a fan in the bathroom. So stuffy. The view was of the underside of a freeway overpass, actually 3 freeway overpasses, very disappointing. Hot tub was broken and the pool was cold. The bedding was a step up from a motel six, but not the soft luxurious linens I expect from a Marriott. Not worth the price.

Pros: The location is great. You're close to plenty of great restaurants, museums and late night spots. The staff is very friendly and professional. The rooms are comfortable and include nice touches like USB ports on the lamps and recycling bins. And you get free beer every night.
Cons: The rooms are a bit small, so you might want to upgrade to the larger rooms when you book. No closet space.
Pros: centerally located with a daily beer hour where you can grab free beer
Cons: Rooms are some of the smallest that I've stayed at with very thin walls. Expect to hear your neighbors using the bathroom...
Pros: Classy place and Beer happy hour were amazing.
Cons: Room size was a little small.
Pros: The staff gives you a lot of their time, professional and helpful, and most are friendly. The room was beautifully appointed, very comfortable for one person, and I was happily upgraded to a street view of the Starlight Parade.
Cons: Unfortunately the ground floor was undergoing renovations, which had I known I would have booked elsewhere.
Cons: Wish we would have known they were doing construction on the lobby. It was noisy so they should have given us something extra for the trouble
Pros: Absolutely the best location. Easy to travel to any part of portland, 5 minute walk from Powell's City of Books. Really nice staff, really nice valet, decent gym, decent facilities.
Room is clean and cozy. Not a great view but it doesn't really matter since you can access the parts of the city with a great view within 10-15 minutes.
Cons: Valet is a bit pricey. No view from our window, but it didn't bother me much.
Pros: They upgraded my room when my original room wasn't ready on check in, and they sent a complimentary bottle of champagne to my room because it was my 21st birthday!
Cons: Hotel was quite expensive for the size of the rooms
Pros: Very clean and tastefully appointed. A great place to decompress.
Pros: Friendly Bartending Staff at Imperial.

In addition to custom pillowtop mattresses, Italian Mascioni 300 thread count Egyptian cotton lines, and a pillow menu, guestrooms feature free WiFi, bluetooth compatible iHomes, artisanal honor bars, Lather bath products, and local Portland Coffee roaster coffee and Smith tea. Other amenity menus in the room are local Salt & Straw ice cream and fresh pressed juice from Kure. Guestrooms have LCD televisions with premium TV channels and pay movies.
Pros: Great location next to PDX, restaurants and shopping. Shuttle to PDX and good parking. Friendly staff.
Cons: Room appeared really nice but after an hour or so everything feels awkward, There was quite a party going in the bar. If I was 25 again and didn't have a 5am flight it would have been great. Music was so loud it was difficult to check-in. Would try again when I'm not tired and have time to try the amenities.
Pros: It was so close to PDX, almost too close, but the planes/flight patterns didn't affect me at all. A couple times you had a single or twin engine overhead, but nothing major.
So many choices to eat, and shop, right across the street. Even a crip like me could walk across the street to eat. So many choices! I even hobbled down more to Ikea, a bit farther away, but doable for any "normal" person.
A really great surprise.
Room was well-equiped.
All the right stuff.
I loved the media box by the TV. Plugged my laptop into the HDMI port, and it picked it up on big 50"? TV no problem!
I really liked the alarm clock (I know, the small things in life)
It had not only the regular alarm, but a flashing light would be an option also. Something I may try and get for home.
Cons: Nothing really not to like.
I didn't go down to the bar area, was a bit too millennial for me.
Didn't like the dogs in the lobby, I don't like seeing other peoples animals when i travel. This is just my quirk.
I love animals, don't want to see them around in a lobby, store, or worse, restaurant/grocery store.
Pros: Close to the airport, efficient shuttle service, clean hotel, friendly staff
Pros: Comfortable beds
Cons: Terrible configuration of room. No light in bathroom separate from whole sink area, which complete lights up bedroom where others are sleeping. Blow dryer provided, but no plug in bathroom except way behind microwave - so had to totally dismantle microwave in order to blow dry my hair. Shuttle took FOREVER to come and front desk staff kept saying "they'll be here soon", which just pissed us off more than if they'd managed expectations with honesty.
Pros: Everyone on the staff was very helpful. They respected our desire for privacy and took care of everything we requested promptly and graciously.
Pros: Excellent hotel. Bathroom seperates room from hallway very quiet. For business traveler. Quick and easy close to airport.
Pros: The music in the pool area made me forget everything else exists
Pros: Walking distance to several restraints and stores
Pros: The room was very nice and if my wife with me I know she love it mite she room could have been lil bigger
Cons: Ah little more bigger room that it
Pros: I just stayed one night due to having a very early flight next day. This is a very modern hotel with a boutique hotel feel. There is a bar in the lobby but I didn't see a restaurant but they have a snack bar but it's best described as an open air mini-bar with the high prices - no complementary snacks to guests.
The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were modern and very clean. The bed very comfortable, sheets clean and soft. Around 8-9pm they have live music in the lobby so my suggestion is to get a higher floor to avoid any loud music filtering into your room. It's in Cascade Station which is an open air mall with some big box stores (Target, Best Buy etc) includes a few restaurants including Red Robin which is super popular. The hotel provides shuttles to and from the airport. Like any airport hotel, some airplane noise will get into the room but hotel has good insulation so it's minimal.
Cons: Their open air snack bar is really an open air expensive mini-bar - no complimentary snacks to guests if only just one time.
Pros: Business hotel near airport and shopping. Internet works well, staff is responsive and you can walk to a couple of restaurants and big box stores. It has a bar and small menu if you don't feel like leaving. Pool and workout room. Everything you need for a few days or week long business trip or weekend getaway. Close to public transportation if you want to go downtown and don't want to drive.
Pros: Loved the large rooms and views. Also loved the green options for shampoo and body wash and am a big fan of Bliss products
Cons: Beds could have been more comfortable

Pros: There is no pool at this hotel. It's a good hotel but I certainly wouldn't categorize it as a 5 star. You'd expect better room equipments and facilities.
I haven't ever seen a 5 star hotel with no pool.
Also parking is very expensive. $47/night is very expensive especially for weekend and holiday stays.
I recommend to park at street.
Pros: The location and restaurants are Portland favorites. You won't beat either place.
Cons: However, for the price, the rooms were underwhelming.
Not great beds, the rooms are small, there was no bathtub, and there were no curtains to block out all the street light (also the sounds from outside were pretty loud).
Pros: Room was beautiful, bell staff was extremely great and cheerful!
Cons: Front desk staff seemed to have an attitude and weren't overly welcoming or friendly, wished the lighting in the bathroom was better, didn't like the setup of the sink/vanity/mirrors. Not functional for putting on makeup or if 2 people wanted to use the mirrors at the same time. Also a tub would have been nice.
Pros: First time to Portland and The Nines had it all, location, convenience, style, etc. i booked off Kyak and couldn't be more pleased. I expect to be back multiple times next year.
Ideally situated next to Portland's Pioneer Square and the MAX light rail, the Nines rests atop the landmark Meier & Frank Building and is a contemporary homage to the structure's storied past both in its striking décor and impeccable service. Over 13,000 square feet of meeting space is available to guests, as well as a cutting edge fitness center and club lounge. Two dining and bar options speak to global palates, including the Asian-inspired rooftop Departure restaurant. A magnificent contemporary art collection by local artists grace each of the 331 sumptuous guest rooms, including 13 suites. Plush bedding, 42" HD televisions, and twice daily maid service completes the picture of approachable elegance.
Pros: Clean, cozy (excellent bed!), accommodating staff, and free coffee in the lobby.
Cons: No complaints!
Pros: Great staff.
Cons: Outdated heating system. Was stuck on all night in one of our rooms.
No air conditioning.
Old bed linens. Frayed sheets.
Pros: Room was comfortable and clean, restaurant was good, and location was extremely convenient to exploring downtown Portland.
Cons: There is NO soundproofing in this hotel, so bring earplugs (or get some from the front desk). You will hear street noise, river noise, train noise, and TONS of noise from other guests.
Pros: Very fun and unique place. Great staff. Free bicycles and shuttle services for guests. Complimentary tea and coffee in your room. Located near several bars and restaurants. Will be back.
Cons: One of the door guys was a little rude. He was short in his responses and seemed bothered by simple questions. Not really a big deal though. Didn't take away at all from my great experience at the hotel. Maybe he was just having a bad day .
Pros: It happened to be 100 degrees that day in Portland and my air conditioning in the room went out. They immediately came to my room and while facilities management couldn't fix it they moved me very quickly to new room and one with a better view.
Cons: I arrived in Portland at 9 am ( I know check in time is 4 pm) but I travel often and it's generally never a problem to get a room by noon. They told me they would call me when a room was ready. I called at 1:30 pm to see what the eta of my room would be. The front desk woman at that time was short and seemed put out when she said "it's ready". Don't offer a call back service if you aren't going to follow through.
Pros: We stayed two nights for a fun weekend trip. The beds were super comfortable and the location was great! Our favorite part was the bikes they have available for you to take out to explore the city!! We had a blast and would highly recommend this hotel!
Pros: Fun location right on the river. Clean, modern hotel with helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: The great location means that you will hear the noise (sometimes very loud) of an festivities happening on the river.
Pros: Loved the duvets.
Cons: With there was a hot tub. Also, lots of homeless people camped very close to hotel made area less than great for walking around at night.
Pros: All was good
Cons: The blankets were a little confusing..
Pros: Hotel Rose is what it is: a recently renovated motel. It's clean and comfortable, and staff are friendly. But to call it a four-star hotel is a real stretch, in terms of amenities and service. Compared to other downtown luxury hotels, this is a big step down at the same price.
Cons: The bathroom is tiny, with outdated fixtures and mold stains. The provided toiletries are cheesy Tommy Bahama brand with an intense pina colada scent that I was a bit embarrassed to smell like all day.
The bed only comes with a comforter, strangely folded on top of a bare fitted sheet, so you have to make your own bed. The king bed comes with two of these, each covering half the bed. Just weird. When I asked the front desk for room service to give me a top sheet, I was told I could find one in the closet and to make the bed myself.
Pros: Great location, staff super friendly.
Cons: Parking wasn't expensive but unexpected cost.
Pros: Good location with included bike rentals.
Cons: There wasn't AC in the room.
With its iconic food cart gatherings, anti-establishment murals and even a doughnut shop that performs weddings, it's no wonder the mantra of this town is “Keep Portland Weird.” And right in the heart of it all you’ll find Hotel Rose, a funky, fun and “oh-so-Portland” boutique hotel located directly across from Tom McCall Waterfront Park on the beautiful Willamette River. From shopping to dining to outdoor recreation, there’s no better home base for exploring the odd, the exquisite and the just plain outrageous. Welcome, thank you for choosing to Staypineapple at Hotel Rose Portland.
Pros: Located close to downtown shopping and Keller Auditorium. Staff puts customers first. In house restaurant is fantastic. Excellent wait staff and food is great. Great outdoor patio with gas fire pits. Rooms not big, but very nice. Valet parking adds $35 per night. Would stay there again.
Cons: $35 valet parking not mentioned in booking.
Pros: Nice location, lots of the city is walkable from here. The lobby is beautiful and the front desk staff made us feel very welcome.
Cons: Once you get out of the lobby, the floors felt a bit dingy like they needed new carpets. The decor in the hallways felt a bit dated. Nothing particularly bad but just didn't feel quite polished. For the price I expected better.
Pros: The restaurant and friendly staff.
Cons: In downtown Portland, but a bit far from certain attractions.
Pros: I checked into Hotel Moderna after a very long day of traveling and checking out of another hotel because if wasn't clean or at all what I was looking for. The guy behind the front desk, after hearing of my travel troubles, offered me free drinks in the hotel restaurant to make my day better. He also gave me a map of the city and marked his favorite places to hang out in sharpie. The front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate me, which is exactly what I needed after the day I had.
Pros: The resturNt downstairs was very good and the rooms are clean... Small but clean. The shower was kind of cheesy. It's great if it's just a crash pad. The Staff and valet service were all very nice
Cons: The smaller rooms, shower felt cheap with crappy water pressure.
Pros: Location close to stores and downtown area
Cons: Room was small. Bathroom was small. Bed was extremely loud and squeaky. Walls were thin
Pros: Windows open - - a great feature these days if you lIke a little fresh air. Wonderful staff and convenient enough location.
Cons: A bit pricey, especially the valet parking.
Pros: The location and comfort made our trip an enjoyable first visit. Restaurant and accessibility from the interstate made it a stress free arrival, check in, check out...
Cons: I don't know that we will stay at Modera for the price paid, again. Not a knock it is a gorgeous and friendly hotel. Great for a first visit.
Pros: I loved the front desk staff and the valet staff. Upon checking in, the front desk staff was extremely helpful with tips on activities in the area and food and restaurant choices. They didn't sound rehearsed with their suggestions. They really seemed enthusiastic about their choices which made us enthusiastic about trying them out. The valet staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well. We left some items in our car that they had parked for us and they offered to retrieve them for us while we waited in the lobby. They greeted us every time we walked in and out the door and just seemed happy to be working there and not just working for tips. The customer service was greatly appreciated!
Cons: The main negative comment I have is that their elevator is rickety and loud. I guess because we checked in at night, we got stuck with the room next to the elevator and you really can hear it every time it goes up and down. Luckily, we were just so exhausted from our daytime activities, we didn't have the energy to complain. Also, the housekeeping staff was a little intimidating. At around 4pm, we went back to our hotel room to freshen up and noticed that our room had still not been made. No big deal. We saw the housekeeping staff in the hallway and decided to tell them they can skip our room, but we wanted an extra towel and a new garbage bag. When we asked them, the staff member demanded my hotel room number in a harsh tone and when I told her, she then shouted to her co worker in another language some verbiage while pointing at us. They had a conversation, that sounded like an argument to me, for a few minutes while we were standing there waiting for the OK to skip our room and give us a towel. Mind you, they were standing right next to the towel cart conversing in their language while I was standing there confused.
Pros: Always enjoy the staff, the contemporary atmosphere, the location, and the garden with fire pits. This is my favorite place to stay in Portland for a reasonable price (the nines is great but expensive, and the loft is great but more for an airport stay). The valet parking was pretty good and free for my Prius (they had a special for "green" cars) and really helped to steal my stay (the nines did not offer anything like that).
Cons: If there was anythInfo@VertebrataChiropractic.com I had a problem with, it was that once waited for 15 minutes for my car and when I asked about it, the valet had forgotten about it. He immediately remedied the situation and had the car in 90 seconds, but it would have been nice to have gotten it when it was first asked for. A small oversight, and overall does not take from my five star rating for this property.
A sleek sophisticated designer showcase in the heart of downtown Porland. Hotel Modera is a stylish boutique hotel with an innovative living wall-relaxing courtyard with elegant fire pits-works of art by loal artists and superbly comfortable rooms and suites with large picture windows. Floor-to-ceiling glass floods the spacious lobby with light. Minimalist and contemporary in style throughout touches of polished dark wood and marble create a masculine feel with straight lines softened by circular forms in the modern artworks. The courtyard is a great place to relax surrounded by greenery and inspiring sculptures. Admire the living wall- cleverly embedded with plants which is a work of art in itself. Use your free pass to the nearby fitness center before sampling the superb restaurant Nel Centro-which offers classic dishes of the Riveriera with passion for grand culinary traditions and locally sourced seasonal foods. A Daily Amenity Fee of $23.06 will be collected at the property.
Pros: Easy to get to from the airport. The room was large and the free nt desk staff were friendly. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of parking. Nice snacks available in the morning.
Cons: Halls were very dark, and the bathroom faucet was old and difficult to use. There aren't many choices for restaurants nearby. The price seemed high for a basic airport hotel, but hotel prices in Portland are high in general.
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful, and the airport shuttle service was very convenient, room service was very reasonable, and the view of Mt. Hood was nice too.
Pros: We were traveling with an 8 month old and they set us up so that everything was easy access and quiet. We greatly appreciated their hospitality.
Pros: Very comfortable beds, lovely rooms, included hot breakfast.
Free shuttle to and from the airport, which I also used to access the Max, which is the transit system that can take you downtown.
I would definitely stay there again.
Pros: Clean hotel and beds and rooms were amazing!
The location was slightly far from the places we wanted to be but the hotel was worth staying at.
Cons: One particular staff gave me a bad experience;
They were busy with checking people in and I understood that and I didn't mind waiting . All I bought was floss a bottle opener and ice cream. After a long period of waiting he was ready to ring me up, he had no problem finding the prices for the ice cream and floss but could not find the price for the bottle opener. I could see he was getting frustrated with finding it because he felt tension as the line for check in grew larger and impatient. He then said out loud "I'm just going to charge you 3.00 cause this is wasting my time" not only did I feel offended but I also was slightly pissed but I didn't show it I gave him my money and left. 3 dollars for a bottle opener and he said I was a waste of time because I wasn't checking in? Someone needs to teach him that customers that are checking in,already checked in , and customers checking out are all equal.
Pros: This hotel was terrific in every way. Comfortable room (if you need the accessible room like we did it is very well laid out), good food, free guest laundry, coffee in the lobby, nice gym, quiet location and most of all wonderful staff.
Pros: The staff here were top-notch. Very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler.
Cons: Honestly, I can't say a bad word about the place.
Pros: The number king bed was uncomfortable, hard and the control device hardly worked.
Cons: The staff was friendly and responded to you requests quickly. Near the airport and Portland.
Pros: Location, price, diining
Cons: Noisy; motors or fans made sleeping difficult at times
Pros: Nice rooms and friendly staff
Cons: Ordered room service and received beer that was less then desirable. ( Bottom of the keg)
Pros: Excellent front desk staff. Excellent food staff. Very clean room. Good shuttle service to airport.

Pros: It was clean. Everywhere except the rooms seemed renovated.
Cons: Very bad location. Nothing nice around to do. The best place to eat in that neighborhood is like an old cafe. Nothing modern or fancy. The people who were stayin at the hotel weren't that decent either.
Pros: Excellent customer service and amenities. The room was large, well organized and clean. This is the best hotel around for the price!
Cons: The breakfast was good. However, I'm not a big fan of cheese on eggs. Maybe you could have two options -- one with cheese and one with plain cooked eggs.
Pros: It's a bit off the beaten path in terms of staying in Downtown Portland, but they run a free shuttle to the Max which makes getting into the city easy ($2.50) even if you don't want to drive the 15 minutes (although it takes a bit longer than 15 minutes). Perfect place to stay at a great price if you want to experience Portland without forking over $250/night for a hotel.
Pros: My husband and i planned a weekend away just the two of us, kids free in Portland for the Washougal nationals. We stayed at another motel the night prior, and had the most horrible experience ever. The wonderful girl at the front desk was so helpful and wonderful. They treated us so nicely. The room was fantastic. We were able to get a king room suite that day. After we checked in at about 10:30, we got right up to our room and went right back down to the wonderful hot tub and pool. The room was clean and wonderfully put together. The hotel is beautiful.
Pros: The shuttle driver to the airport was friendly.
Cons: The booked me in a smoking room. The smell was so overpowering that I asked to have the rooms changed. They said no because "that was what was booked on orbitz" and didn't have any other rooms. I don't smoke and would not book a smoking room intentionally. there was no screen on the window. I felt sick in the morning. I travel a lot for work and have never complained about a room before.
Cons: the heating system was noisy.
Pros: Great room, amenities and proximity to airport
Cons: Scheduled a wake up call but it never came. Important for a hotel for travelers and business professionals.
Pros: It was clean, the employees were fine..price was ok as well, I would say if you are ok with a mediocrity just cleanliness and a good price this is the place.. That's about it.. Otherwise if you want to feel like you are on vacation with a nice new comfy place then spend the extra 20-40 bucks a night and go with a more newer hotel.
Cons: Dated hotel, it felt like a half @$$ remodel.. Bed and TV were up to date but tgat was it.. The wall paper, doors and bathroom were very dated; there were tears in wallpaper, all the doors were chipped up and there was a bit of mold around the tub chalking, also at the base of the tub the drywall was completely rotted, the room was just a bit dark and dingy for my taste..
Pros: i was in the second flor
The rooms were pretty new
I had a view towards the back and I liked it
Pool look nice, but did not used it
Breakfast was nice for a buffet, hot entries
Beds were comfortable
Except for not having a restaurant it was like a four star hotel
My kids were in a separate room, they were happy
i would even consider it for an extent it stay.
Airport shuttle worked fine
Cons: Nothing with the hotel
The airport shuttle did not have a sign in front, so I had to guess a little, very minor quible
Cons: You won't get any sleep unless you're on the top floor (so you can't hear the ppl stomping around above you) and nowhere near the constantly beeping elevator. Had to switch room three times until finally getting a good nights sleep in 419. i wouldn't stay here again unless I could get one of the 4 decent rooms.
Pros: Quick and efficient. Was there for an extended layover at PDX. Shuttle picked me up and dropped me off on time and had a comfortable sleep.
Pros: Loved the location, and spacious beautiful rooms! Would LOVE to stay at the Clarion again!
Cons: The only thing I didn't like is that our trip didn't allow us more time to enjoy the room!

Pros: We were in the middle of everything. Our rooms felt very homey.
Cons: Our room was triangle shaped and the staff was a little short when we spoke.
Pros: The location was fantastic. The staff was friendly. The rooms were very clean and well furnished.
Pros: Boyfriend and I visited Portland for the weekend. The hotel was very presentable, in a great location (5 minute walk to most restaurants we went to) and a short drive to everywhere else. The hotel was clean, room and bed was comfortable and staff was friendly!
Cons: We were in a corner room on the 9th floor, so the room was in a weird shape, not necessarily bad, but just to note. There was a bright hallway light that shone through under the door - had to cover it with pillows. There was no view, our one window literally opened up to a wall.
Cons: Get 24 hour room service
Pros: We were in th middle of things downtown and could walk to iconic Portland places.
Pros: Nice service, good looking hotel for the money. Clean and spacious. Nice bar. Good location.
Cons: We had a particularly bad room. bottom floor, next to housekeeping, handicap accessible. Parking seemed a little outrageous--we parked down the street
Pros: Loved the location to see and do things in Portland. Easy to walk to shopping, restaurants, riverfront.
Pros: Great location. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Clean.
Cons: Pretty shabby. Tiny tiny room. Weird space. Seems like a very old property that needs to be updated.
Pros: Location, price, customer service
Cons: No pool or hot tub, small lobby
Pros: Location was great. Restaurant located downstairs is convenient and good also has a full bar stock, I was able to order a beer and walk it up my room.
Hotel staff very attentive.
Need room card to have elevator cars access your floor which is safe.
Cons: Can't really say what o didn't like, spent most of my time out of hotel. I did pay $6 for coconut water at the lobby market, a bit pricey o would say.
I didn't have a car rental but valet is $35.
Pros: We originally weren't planning on staying in a hotel in our short visit to Portland but I'm glad we did. Courtyard was such a great steal! The Location was great, walking distance to just about everything. The price wasn't even bad considering we booked last minute. The hotel was super clean and had a very luxurious feel to it!
Cons: We really didn't stay long enough to find anything we didn't like so I assume that's a good thing overall!
Pros: Staff answered questions about directions

Pros: free breakfast
Cons: bed uncomfortable
didn't have black out curtains
noise in parking lot
uncomfortable toilet seat
Pros: The Staff very friendly and inviting. They were able to meet all of our needs.
Cons: The building could use some updating.
