How to Get to Vir
Plane
Although Vir doesn’t have its own airport, you can fly to Zadar Airport (ZAD), which is located 30 km from Vir. Pula is the most popular, with regular flights from easyJet, Wizz Air UK, Ryanair and other airlines departing from the United Kingdom. The shortest flight to Vir from the United Kingdom departs from Birmingham and takes around 2h 20m.
Car
Another option to get to Vir is to pick up a car hire from Split, which is about 140 km from Vir. You’ll find branches of Avia Rent A Car and SURPRICE CAR RENTAL , among others, in Split.
Bus
Several bus lines operate bus routes to Vir, including FlixBus, Arriva and Nomago. From Zagreb, the bus ride to Vir takes 290 km and will cost you around £29. From Pula, the ticket costs about £60 for a journey of 660 km. The most popular bus station is Vir Put Slatine, located 0.9 km from the city centre of Vir. Vir Virski Put is also a commonly used station, and is 1.8 km from the city centre.
