The closest airport to land at for Mijas holidays is the Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport about 14 miles to the east. The best way to reach Mijas is to take a train ride from the airport to Fuengirola train station. As a part of the Costa Del Sol Mijas has a Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine in the summer. The summer has the least average rainfall and is probably the best season for Mijas holidays.
