I didn’t like that if you were one minute late from your drop off time, they charge you extra money and I also didn’t like that when I arrived to the counter earlier than my pick up time because my flight was a little early they were going to charge me extra money so I had to sit and wait until my pick up time to avoid extra charges. There should be some sort of buffer, plus or minus 1 hour before and after pick up or drop off with no extra chargesReviewed 17 Sept 2026

We went to pick up our car from Budget at the designated time. When we arrived, we were told that the phone number they were provided through the online registration portal was invalid. They then tried using that invalid number to call me "several times." Obviously they could not reach me with an invalid number. They did not try to contact me via my email address. They said that they had given away my rental and that they had no rental car to give me. So we got no rental vehicle from Budget. We have been trying to get reimbursed for the cost of the third party rental insurance we purchased from Budget, but Budget claims that the "car was not picked up" even though we tried to and Budget said they had no car to give us, so they are denying the reimbursement. Overall, we are incredibly disappointed with our rental experience with Budget and will not be renting from them in the future.Reviewed 17 Sept 2026

1. Terminal to Budget: bus steps too high for older people. Easy to carry a portable step to aid customers. 2. Nobody there to ask rudimentary questions (how to open the lift gate, how to control the mirrors). A lot of guess work & looking in the manual before even leaving the place.Reviewed 13 Sept 2026

Extremely rude customer service. We were next in line at the indoor desk at ATL airport when the agent asked if we were paying with a credit card. I replied yes. I noted the previous guest just used his credit card. I was then told we need to move to the outdoor desk to be assisted. I asked why since we already made the reservation online and I was not aware that Budget would even accept cash, check or Venmo etc. We did not receive an answer just told to move to the other desk after we waited in the line for 40 minutes. This agent continued to care for some of the people in line. We moved outdoors in the heat and waited in another line for about 30 minutes. Since we had to move, people who were behind us in the original line were now in front of us. The agent who assisted us when we finally receive the car was pleasant. I asked to speak to a manager (which no one was available) to inquire about the move from indoors to outside. Another agent commented well we needed to offload the line. I said we were the next guests indoors when we were asked to move. The response, “oh then I don’t know.” Overall would never rent a car from this facility or this company due to lack of organization and incredibly poor customer service.Reviewed 12 Sept 2026
