Waited two hours in line to get paperwork. Computer systems were down so they wrote everything up by hand. No apologies and no offers to make it right. Once we got to the garage, an employee told us the express area was closed and sent us to the “preferred” area, only to find out that’s not where we were supposed to be. Finally, the girls out on the garage floor were able to help us. They were very kind and the only ones who seemed to know what they were doing. Literally every single person on every window at the Boston Logan Budget counter were smiling, friendly, efficient, gracious and kind, and got all of us in line - and there were a lot of us in that 3-Times around line waiting - served and processed quickly and easily, and with the most pleasanr of demeanors possible. The check in line was long with very few agents to check people in at peak time. I was given a car that was clean, but didn’t feel safe to drive (whole car shook when braking, accelerating was a task). The agent told me there was fuel “nearby” so I opted to prepay for a tank to avoid driving around or getting lost, however upon return “nearby” actually meant right next to/in the rental car area. Had I known this, I’d have spent $20 filling my half tank versus $75 for their full tank. That’s a bit of a scam.Reviewed 18 Aug 2024

I would not recommend using budget rental at Logan. Take 30 min to get shuttle (rental counter not at airport). Shuttle was full and barely room to get on. Spent 45 min in line for counter to get the car contract. Was hoping that was it but NO, 30 min wait to get car in 3rd line in the parking garage. Then was another 15 min to get out of garage because lines at the exit. Time from luggage to actually having car and out of Logan was TWO HOURS. I don’t know who owns Budget, but they should be REQUIRED to test their process from beginning to end. This process was not built to be customer friendly and guess it’s what to expect when same company owns all the rental car companies and no real competition.Reviewed 4 Aug 2024
