Pros:Staff person at the counter was friendly.Cons:There was a shortage of cars available, and we had to wait a long time to get any car that evening, even though we had a 9:00 p.m. pick-up time on our reservation. We had rented with "supplier's choice" to save some on the price, but even with that the car was very expensive to rent for a week.Reviewed 28 Jun 2021

Cons:I reserved an intermediate sub 30 days ahead since I was moving. When I went to pick up the car they didn’t have any cars. They offered them as they came upstairs and I was told to either take the compact suv or don’t get a car.Reviewed 19 Jun 2021

Pros:Had no problem with the staff but was astounded by the cost of one day rental - what has happened perhaps making up for lost revenue due to Covid? I liked having folks to talk to while we waited what was said to be10 to 15 minutes wait for rental that turned out to be 2 hours - and I do understand the demand some times is greater than availability but it was excessive when there was a long ride ahead .perhaps the wait was worth the assigned car but no telling except it was a pleasant and suitable car .I liked the fact that I did not have any real hassle up to eventually getting the car and on the curb at the airport was my luggage watcher also patiently waiting to be in the rental car.Cons:Besides the extensive wait being corrected there seems to be no advantage of being a Hertz gold member when they partner with Dollar - have to sign up to Dollar and not sure there is guarantee any break in price or quick pick up or whatever the puke will happen with either sign up - have not benefited one bit with Hertz as it is - what am I missing in these sign ups ? Also this to migh have been due to Covid but at Burlington airport the renter drops the car off at the return / then has to take the keys over to the airport counter to stand in line if your not lucky enough to have no line as in my case -while the person who is giving you a ride home circles the airport until you call if lucky they have a cell phone to give that person an update on when / where you will meet them ! What happened to the drop off personnel who took car / keys and on their hand held print out machine gave you a receipt - noted nothing keeps the person from circling the airport or trying to find that person in the car park or whatever the case maybe - all part of the adventure . Not always dropping off the car to catch a flight or for that matter picking up a car after a flight- seems one has to use the pick up drop off at the airport if that is where the car originated no matter which city it is returned. No perks or incentives are obvious if there . All cases are somewhat different but all have to be thought out for each one to be conveniently ,efficiently and easily played out . Now after all my answers there is no question that the appreciation for all that you do to add to the travel industry is great and cannot Thank you enough for being there ! Implementing in ways that might be helpful and advantageous to the renter perhaps considered?! Thank you for asking and being interested in following up .Reviewed 15 Jun 2021

Pros:Not much.Cons:car made noise--older vehicle/1.5 hours plus in line at Boston airport to check out car/Dollar unable to provide invoice with details of total rental charges including the deposit/toll road device charges excessive & does not agree with written policy for this service/very poor lot operating hours for car return at Cinn. airport....returned car at 9 pm and office closed/disputed charges via credit card company/not planning to use Dollar again/vehicle of lesser quality than what I reserved/will not use Kayak for car rental again.....this was my first timeReviewed 11 Jun 2021

Cons:The agent at the counter printed out the contract that was three times more expensive than what I expected to pay. I had to explain to him multiple times that I didn’t want the more expensive insurance. Eventually he corrected the contract and charged me what I was supposed to pay. The overall experience of renting a car is absolutely terrible. You always end up paying for more than what you quoted.Reviewed 1 Jun 2021

Pros:I checked in at the Dollar Counter went downstairs to pickup the car as directed. They brought a car out smaller than ordered. I stated the car was not full size and they said our reserved car had mechanical issues. I agreed to try the car and filled out the paperwork, however, when I tried to get in I was too cramped in the front seat and the adjustments for the front seat were not working properly. (I am 6'3" and clearly needed the full size car ordered.) I talked to a manager who agreed to try to get another full size car if we waited another 30 minutes for it to be washed which we did. However, she later called the attendant and told him that car was not available because of foul smell of weed and smoke. They told us they could not provide us with a another car at that point and to get one somewhere else. When asked for a refund they refused stating that we had used a second party service Kayak and would have to get our refund from them.Cons:Most importantly they could have provided me with a clean full size car which I reserved. Secondly, the manager and attendant could have acted in a professional manner instead of very rude. Additionally, someone needs to step up and refund our money.Reviewed 25 Apr 2021

Pros:We got the car we requested (Nissan Rogue), and it performed well throughout our 11-day rental. I was glad to have unlimited mileage as we drove a LOT. The car had Florida tags in New England, which COULD have made us vulnerable to predatory law enforcement or burglars, but we had no problems. The car came with Apple Play, which allowed us to use our phone GPS navigation. YAY! The check IN procedure was quick and painless.Cons:The car was advertised as having A/C, but it didn't work. Totally inoperative. We tried calling Dollar's Customer Service number as listed in the contract - 20 times, DURING business hours, but always got a recording saying "Our offices are closed. Please call back during business hours, which are 7AM-9PM (or whatever they were)... " etc. Very frustrating. Finally, the SIGNAGE for picking up the car at Boston Logan airport was practically non-existent. We followed signs to what we thought was the pickup office, only to be told we had to turn around and walk back another 150 meters to a different counter, where of course we had to wait even longer. Better signs for people NEW to this airport would have been helpful.Reviewed 20 Apr 2021
