Only real thing I liked was how close it was to the airport and there being a shuttle. Otherwise, the first challenge was the insurance up sale. I purchased insurance during booking but then still had to purchase more insurance upon arrival. The first car I rented had such a small engine we had to return it. Then the second SUV was quite dirty and we could not connect the phone to it and while figuring that out the battery died. So, on the spot they had to replace the battery. Grateful they did then but imagine if we had drove off into the 4 hours drive ahead of us without a new battery? Basically, super mediocre if not sub par service.Reviewed 14 Jun 2023

Pros:Nothing, did not like anything about this experienceCons:Staff was extremely unhelpful. Was the worst experience in Costa Rica. Outrageous price for a beat up old car with 150,000 miles on it, manual transmission, radio had been taken out, fog lights missing, horrible car, took us 3 hours to check in and get car, staff is inept and we stood in line for hours while no one could give us a clear answer on when we would get a car even though we had a reservation.Reviewed 26 Jan 2020

Pros:Watch out for tricky charges on you bill. They will charge you additional charges and fee even after you you returned the car. Was charged $250 more than the price quoted on your site.Cons:On pickup, I was told that I was required to pay $250 more for additional insurance, or I wouldn't be allowed to rent the car. Cons:Our flight was delayed and when I arrived in San Jose with my family (including 3 children) at 11.30pm they had given my car away and there was no other cars. They stated that they only keep the car for 2 hours. I had provided my flight information when I booked the car. What kind of a car rental at an airport would not as a first step check if the flight had been delayed if the customer do not show up.
